بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم والعصر

I swear by the time,
Yusuf Ali
By (the Token of) Time (through the ages),

إن الإنسان لفي خسر

Most surely man is in loss,
Yusuf Ali
Verily Man is in loss,
Arabic
إلا الذين آمنوا وعملوا الصالحات وتواصوا بالحق وتواصوا بالصبر
Shakir
Except those who believe and do good, and enjoin on each other truth, and enjoin on each other patience.
Yusuf Ali
Except such as have Faith, and do righteous deeds, and (join together) in the mutual teaching of Truth, and of Patience and Constancy.
