بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم المر ۚ تلك آيات الكتاب ۗ والذي أنزل إليك من ربك الحق ولكن أكثر الناس لا يؤمنون
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
আলিফ লাম মিম রা। এগুলো আল কিতাবের (আল কুরআনের) আয়াত, যা তোমার প্রতি নাযিল করা হয়েছে। তোমার প্রভুর পক্ষ থেকে এ এক মহাসত্য। কিন্তু অধিকাংশ মানুষই (তাতে) ঈমান আনেনা।
Shakir
Alif Lam Mim Ra. These are the verses of the Book; and that which is revealed to you from your Lord is the truth, but most people do not believe.

الله الذي رفع السماوات بغير عمد ترونها ۖ ثم استوى على العرش ۖ وسخر الشمس والقمر ۖ كل يجري لأجل مسمى ۚ يدبر الأمر يفصل الآيات لعلكم بلقاء ربكم توقنون
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
, যিনি মহাকাশকে উপরে উঠিয়ে দিয়েছেন স্তম্ভ ছাড়াই, তোমরা তা দেখতে পাচ্ছো। তারপর তিনি সমাসীন হয়েছেন আরশের উপর এবং সূর্যও চাঁদকে (নির্দিষ্ট বিধানের) অধীন করে দিয়েছেন। তারা প্রত্যেকেই নির্দিষ্ট সময়ের জন্যে গতিমান। সমস্ত বিষয়ই তিনি পরিচালনা করেন এবং নিদর্শনসমূহ বর্ণনা করেন বিশদভাবে, যাতে তোমরা তোমাদের প্রভুর সাথে সাক্ষাতের বিষয়ে একীন রাখো।

Allah is He Who raised the heavens without any pillars that you see, and He is firm in power and He made the sun and the moon subservient (to you); each one pursues its course to an appointed time; He regulates the affair, making clear the signs that you may be certain of meeting your Lord.

وهو الذي مد الأرض وجعل فيها رواسي وأنهارا ۖ ومن كل الثمرات جعل فيها زوجين اثنين ۖ يغشي الليل النهار ۚ إن في ذلك لآيات لقوم يتفكرون
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তিনি জমিনকে সমতল করে বিছিয়ে দিয়েছেন এবং তাতে সৃষ্টি করে দিয়েছেন পাহাড় - পর্বত আর নদ - নদী। সেখানে প্রত্যেক প্রকারের ফলফলারি সৃষ্টি করেছেন জোড়ায় জোড়ায়। তিনিই দিনকে ঢেকে দেন রাত দিয়ে। এতে অবশ্যি নিদর্শন রয়েছে চিন্তাশীল লোকদের জন্যে।
Shakir
And He it is Who spread the earth and made in it firm mountains and rivers, and of all fruits He has made in it two kinds; He makes the night cover the day; most surely there are signs in this for a people who reflect.

وفي الأرض قطع متجاورات وجنات من أعناب وزرع ونخيل صنوان وغير صنوان يسقى بماء واحد ونفضل بعضها على بعض في الأكل ۚ إن في ذلك لآيات لقوم يعقلون
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
এই পৃথিবীতে সৃষ্টি করে দেয়া হয়েছে পরস্পর কাছাকাছি ভূ - খন্ডসমূহ, তাতে রয়েছে আঙ্গুরের বাগান, শস্যক্ষেত, আর একাধিক মাথাওয়ালা এবং এক মাথাওয়ালা খেজুর গাছ। এগুলোকে পান করানো হয় একই পানি। সেগুলোর কিছু ফল ফসলকে কিছু ফল ফসলের উপর আমরা স্বাদের দিক থেকে চমৎকার করে দিই। যারা আকল খাটায় তাদের জন্যে এতে রয়েছে নিদর্শন।
Shakir
And in the earth there are tracts side by side and gardens of grapes and corn and palm trees having one root and (others) having distinct roots - - they are watered with one water, and We make some of them excel others in fruit; most surely there are signs in this for a people who understand.

۞ وإن تعجب فعجب قولهم أإذا كنا ترابا أإنا لفي خلق جديد ۗ أولئك الذين كفروا بربهم ۖ وأولئك الأغلال في أعناقهم ۖ وأولئك أصحاب النار ۖ هم فيها خالدون

তুমি যদি বিস্মিত হও, তবে বিস্ময়কর হলো তাদের এই কথা, ‘মাটিতে মিশে যাবার পরও কি আমাদের আবার নতুন করে সৃষ্টি করা হবে?’ এরাই তাদের প্রভুর সাথে কুফুরি করেছে আর তাদের গলায়ই থাকবে লোহার শিকল এবং তারাই হবে জাহান্নামের অধিবাসী। সেখানে থাকবে তারা চিরকাল।
Shakir
And if you would wonder, then wondrous is their saying: What! when we are dust, shall we then certainly be in a new creation? These are they who disbelieve in their Lord, and these have chains on their necks, and they are the inmates of the fire; in it they shall abide.

ويستعجلونك بالسيئة قبل الحسنة وقد خلت من قبلهم المثلات ۗ وإن ربك لذو مغفرة للناس على ظلمهم ۖ وإن ربك لشديد العقاب
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
কল্যাণের আগেই তারা তোমাকে অকল্যাণ ত্বরান্বিত করতে বলে: যদিও তাদের আগে এ রকম কথার অনেক দৃষ্টান্ত বিগত হয়েছে। নিশ্চয়ই তোমার প্রভু মানুষের প্রতি তাদের যুলুম - সীমালঙ্ঘন সত্ত্বেও পরম ক্ষমাশীল। আবার তোমার প্রভু শাস্তি প্রদানেও কঠোর।
Shakir
And they ask you to hasten on the evil before the good, and indeed there have been exemplary punishments before them; and most surely your Lord is the Lord of forgiveness to people, notwithstanding their injustice; and most surely your Lord is severe in requiting (evil).

ويقول الذين كفروا لولا أنزل عليه آية من ربه ۗ إنما أنت منذر ۖ ولكل قوم هاد
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
কাফিররা বলে: ‘তার প্রতি তার প্রভুর পক্ষ থেকে কোনো নিদর্শন নাযিল হলোনা কেন?’ তুমি তো কেবল একজন সতর্ককারী মাত্র আর প্রত্যেক কওমেরই ছিলো একজন সতর্ককারী।
Shakir
And those who disbelieve say: Why has not a sign been sent down upon him from his Lord? You are only a warner and (there is) a guide for every people.

الله يعلم ما تحمل كل أنثى وما تغيض الأرحام وما تزداد ۖ وكل شيء عنده بمقدار
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
জানেন প্রত্যেক নারী তার গর্ভে যা বহন করে এবং জরায়ুতে যা কমে আর বাড়ে এবং তাঁর কাছে প্রতিটি বস্তুর পরিণামই নির্ধারিত।
Shakir
Allah knows what every female bears, and that of which the wombs fall short of completion and that in which they increase; and there is a measure with Him of everything.

عالم الغيب والشهادة الكبير المتعال
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তিনি ও দৃশ্যের জ্ঞানী মহান ও সর্বোচ্চ মর্যাদার মালিক।
Shakir
The knower of the unseen and the seen, the Great, the Most High.
Arabic
سواء منكم من أسر القول ومن جهر به ومن هو مستخف بالليل وسارب بالنهار
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তোমাদের মধ্যে যে ব্যক্তি কথা গোপন করে এবং যে তা প্রকাশ করে, আর যে রাতে লুকিয়ে থাকে এবং দিনে বিচরণ করে, তারা সবাই আল্লাহর জ্ঞানে সমান।
Shakir
Alike (to Him) among you is he who conceals (his) words and he who speaks them openly, and he who hides himself by night and (who) goes forth by day.

له معقبات من بين يديه ومن خلفه يحفظونه من أمر الله ۗ إن الله لا يغير ما بقوم حتى يغيروا ما بأنفسهم ۗ وإذا أراد الله بقوم سوءا فلا مرد له ۚ وما لهم من دونه من وال
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তার (মানুষের) জন্যে তার সামনে এবং পেছনে একের পর এক পাহারাদার নিযুক্ত থাকে আল্লাহর নির্দেশে। তারা তার হিফাযত করে। কোনো জাতির অবস্থা পরিবর্তন করেননা, যতোক্ষণ না তারা নিজেরাই নিজেদের অবস্থা পরিবর্তন করে। যখন কোনো জাতির অকল্যাণ চান, তখন তা আর রদ হয়না। তাদের জন্যে ছাড়া আর কোনো অলি নেই।
Shakir
For his sake there are angels following one another, before him and behind him, who guard him by Allah's commandment; surely Allah does not change the condition of a people until they change their own condition; and when Allah intends evil to a people, there is no averting it, and besides Him they have no protector.

هو الذي يريكم البرق خوفا وطمعا وينشئ السحاب الثقال
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তিনিই তোমাদেরকে বিদ্যুত চমকিয়ে ভয় এবং আশা দেখান। তিনিই সৃষ্টি করেন বর্ষণমুখী ভারি মেঘ।
Shakir
He it is Who shows you the lightning causing fear and hope and (Who) brings up the heavy cloud.
Arabic
ويسبح الرعد بحمده والملائكة من خيفته ويرسل الصواعق فيصيب بها من يشاء وهم يجادلون في الله وهو شديد المحال
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
বজ্রধ্বনি প্রশংসার সাথে তাঁর তসবিহ করে এবং ফেরেশতারাও করে তাঁর ভয়ে। তিনি বজ্রপাত ঘটান এবং তা দিয়ে যাকে ইচ্ছা আঘাত করেন। তারা সম্পর্কে বিতর্ক করে, অথচ তিনি মহাশক্তিমান।
Shakir
And the thunder declares His glory with His praise, and the angels too for awe of Him; and He sends the thunderbolts and smites with them whom He pleases, yet they dispute concerning Allah, and He is mighty in prowess.

له دعوة الحق ۖ والذين يدعون من دونه لا يستجيبون لهم بشيء إلا كباسط كفيه إلى الماء ليبلغ فاه وما هو ببالغه ۚ وما دعاء الكافرين إلا في ضلال
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
সত্যের দাওয়াত তাঁরই জন্যে (তাঁরই দিকে) হবে। যারা তাঁকে ছাড়া অন্যদের ডাকে, তারা তাদের ডাকে কিছুমাত্র সাড়া দেয়না। তাদের উপমা হলো ঐ ব্যক্তি, যে তার দুই হাত প্রসারিত করেছে যেনো তার মুখে পানি পৌঁছে, অথচ তা তার মুখে পৌঁছার নয়। কাফিরদের আহবান একেবারেই নিষ্ফল।
Shakir
To Him is due the true prayer; and those whom they pray to besides Allah give them no answer, but (they are) like one who stretches forth his two hands towards water that it may reach his mouth, but it will not reach it; and the prayer of the unbelievers is only in error.

ولله يسجد من في السماوات والأرض طوعا وكرها وظلالهم بالغدو والآصال ۩
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
মহাকাশ এবং পৃথিবীতে যারাই আছে, সবাই ইচ্ছায় হোক কিংবা অনিচ্ছায়, আল্লাহকে সাজদা করে এবং তাদের ছায়াগুলোও তাঁকে সাজদা করে সকালে এবং বিকেলে। (সাজদা)
Shakir
And whoever is in the heavens and the earth makes obeisance to Allah only, willingly and unwillingly, and their shadows too at morn and eve.

قل من رب السماوات والأرض قل الله ۚ قل أفاتخذتم من دونه أولياء لا يملكون لأنفسهم نفعا ولا ضرا ۚ قل هل يستوي الأعمى والبصير أم هل تستوي الظلمات والنور ۗ أم جعلوا لله شركاء خلقوا كخلقه فتشابه الخلق عليهم ۚ قل الله خالق كل شيء وهو الواحد القهار
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
হে নবী! তাদের জিজ্ঞেস করো: ‘মহাকাশ এবং পৃথিবীর রব কে?’ বলো: ‘’। বলো: তোমরা কি আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে এমন সব অলি গ্রহণ করেছো যারা তাদের নিজেদেরও লাভ কিংবা ক্ষতি করতে সক্ষম নয়? জিজ্ঞেস করো, অন্ধ আর চক্ষুষ্মান কি সমান? নাকি আলো আর অন্ধকার সমান? নাকি তারা যাদের আল্লাহর সাথে শরিক বানিয়েছে তারা আল্লাহর সৃষ্টির মতো সৃষ্টি করে যে কারণে সৃষ্টি তাদের কাছে সদৃশ মনে হয়? বলো: এক মহাপরাক্রমশালী আল্লাহ্ই সবকিছুর স্রষ্টা।

Say: Who is the Lord of the heavens and the earth? - - Say: Allah. Say: Do you take then besides Him guardians who do not control any profit or harm for themselves? Say: Are the blind and the seeing alike? Or can the darkness and the light be equal? Or have they set up with Allah associates who have created creation like His, so that what is created became confused to them? Say: Allah is the Creator of all things, and He is the One, the Supreme.

أنزل من السماء ماء فسالت أودية بقدرها فاحتمل السيل زبدا رابيا ۚ ومما يوقدون عليه في النار ابتغاء حلية أو متاع زبد مثله ۚ كذلك يضرب الله الحق والباطل ۚ فأما الزبد فيذهب جفاء ۖ وأما ما ينفع الناس فيمكث في الأرض ۚ كذلك يضرب الله الأمثال
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তিনিই আসমান থেকে পানি বর্ষণ করেন, ফলে উপত্যকাসমূহ পরিমাণ মতো প্লাবিত হয়। আর প্লাবন তার উপরে আবর্জনা বহন করে বুদবুদ আকারে। এছাড়া তোমরা অলংকার কিংবা তৈজসপত্র তৈরির জন্যে যেসব ধাতু আগুনে বিগলিত করো সেগুলোর উপরিভাগেও অনুরূপ আবর্জনা ভেসে উঠে বুদ্বুদ আকারে। এভাবেই হক এবং বাতিলের উপমা দিয়ে থাকেন। অত:পর আবর্জনা সমেত বুদ্বুদ বিলীন হয়ে যায়, আর যা মানুষের জন্যে কল্যাণকর তা জমিনে জমে থাকে। এভাবেই উপমা দিয়ে থাকেন।

He sends down water from the cloud, then watercourses flow (with water) according to their measure, and the torrent bears along the swelling foam, and from what they melt in the fire for the sake of making ornaments or apparatus arises a scum like it; thus does Allah compare truth and falsehood; then as for the scum, it passes away as a worthless thing; and as for that which profits the people, it tarries in the earth; thus does Allah set forth parables.

للذين استجابوا لربهم الحسنى ۚ والذين لم يستجيبوا له لو أن لهم ما في الأرض جميعا ومثله معه لافتدوا به ۚ أولئك لهم سوء الحساب ومأواهم جهنم ۖ وبئس المهاد
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
যারা তাদের রবের আহবানে সাড়া দেয় তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে হুসনা (কল্যাণ)। আর যারা তাঁর আহবানে সাড়া দেয়না, পৃথিবীতে যা কিছু আছে সবই যদি তাদের থাকতো এবং সেই সাথে অনুরূপ আরো থাকতো, তারা (আল্লাহর আযাব থেকে বাঁচার জন্যে) মুক্তিপণ হিসেবে সেই সবই দিয়ে দিতো। তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে নিকৃষ্ট হিসাব এবং তাদের আবাস হবে জাহান্নাম। সেটা খুবই নিকৃষ্ট বিশ্রামের জায়গা।

For those who respond to their Lord is good; and (as for) those who do not respond to Him, had they all that is in the earth and the like thereof with it they would certainly offer it for a ransom. (As for) those, an evil reckoning shall be theirs and their abode is hell, and evil is the resting - place.

۞ أفمن يعلم أنما أنزل إليك من ربك الحق كمن هو أعمى ۚ إنما يتذكر أولو الألباب
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
যে ব্যক্তি জানে তোমার প্রভুর নিকট থেকে তোমার কাছে মহাসত্য নাযিল হয়েছে, সে কি ঐ ব্যক্তির সমতুল্য, যে (এ ব্যাপারে) অন্ধ? অনুধাবন করে তো বোধশক্তি সম্পন্ন লোকেরাই,
Shakir
Is he then who knows that what has been revealed to you from your Lord is the truth like him who is blind? Only those possessed of understanding will mind,
Arabic
الذين يوفون بعهد الله ولا ينقضون الميثاق
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
যারা আল্লাহকে দেয়া অঙ্গীকার পূর্ণ করে এবং প্রতিশ্রুতি ভঙ্গ করেনা,
Shakir
Those who fulfil the promise of Allah and do not break the covenant,

والذين يصلون ما أمر الله به أن يوصل ويخشون ربهم ويخافون سوء الحساب
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
যারা যেসব সম্পর্ক অক্ষুণ্ণ রাখার নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন সেসব সম্পর্ক বজায় রাখে, তাদের প্রভুকে ভয় করে এবং ভীত থাকে কঠোর হিসাবের দিনের ব্যাপারে,

And those who join that which Allah has bidden to be joined and have awe of their Lord and fear the evil reckoning.

والذين صبروا ابتغاء وجه ربهم وأقاموا الصلاة وأنفقوا مما رزقناهم سرا وعلانية ويدرءون بالحسنة السيئة أولئك لهم عقبى الدار
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
যারা তাদের প্রভুর সন্তুষ্টি লাভের লক্ষ্যে সবর অবলম্বন করে, কায়েম করে, আমাদের দেয়া জীবিকা থেকে গোপনে ও প্রকাশ্যে ব্যয় (দান) করে এবং ভালো দিয়ে মন্দ দূর করে, তাদেরই জন্যে রয়েছে পরিণামের ঘর।

And those who are constant, seeking the pleasure of their Lord, and keep up prayer and spend (benevolently) out of what We have given them secretly and openly and repel evil with good; as for those, they shall have the (happy) issue of the abode
Arabic
جنات عدن يدخلونها ومن صلح من آبائهم وأزواجهم وذرياتهم ۖ والملائكة يدخلون عليهم من كل باب
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তা হলো চিরস্থায়ী জান্নাত, তাতেই তারা দাখিল হবে এবং তাদের বাবা - মা, স্বামী - স্ত্রী ও সন্তান - সন্ততিদের মধ্যে যারা নিজেদের এসলাহ (সংশোধন) করেছে তারাও। প্রত্যেক দরজা দিয়ে ফেরেশতারা তাদের কাছে দাখিল হবে।

The gardens of perpetual abode which they will enter along with those who do good from among their parents and their spouses and their offspring; and the angels will enter in upon them from every gate:

سلام عليكم بما صبرتم ۚ فنعم عقبى الدار
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তারা বলবে: ‘সালামুন আলাইকুম - আপনাদের প্রতি শান্তি বর্ষিত হোক, আপনাদের সবর অবলম্বনের কারণে কতো উত্তম পরিণাম আপনাদের!’
Shakir
Peace be on you because you were constant, how excellent, is then, the issue of the abode.

والذين ينقضون عهد الله من بعد ميثاقه ويقطعون ما أمر الله به أن يوصل ويفسدون في الأرض ۙ أولئك لهم اللعنة ولهم سوء الدار
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
পক্ষান্তরে যারা আল্লাহর সাথে মজবুত অঙ্গীকার করার পর তা ভঙ্গ করে, যাদের সাথে সম্পর্ক অক্ষুণ্ণ রাখার নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন সেসব সম্পর্ক ছিন্ন করে এবং জমিনে বিপর্যয় সৃষ্টি করে বেড়ায়, তাদের প্রতি লানত এবং তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে নিকৃষ্ট আবাস।
Shakir
And those who break the covenant of Allah after its confirmation and cut asunder that which Allah has ordered to be joined and make mischief in the land; (as for) those, upon them shall be curse and they shall have the evil (issue) of the abode.
Arabic
الله يبسط الرزق لمن يشاء ويقدر ۚ وفرحوا بالحياة الدنيا وما الحياة الدنيا في الآخرة إلا متاع
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
যার জন্যে ইচ্ছে জীবিকা বিস্তৃত করে দেন এবং যাকে ইচ্ছা সীমিত করে দেন। তারা দুনিয়ার জীবন নিয়েই উৎফুল্ল, অথচ দুনিয়ার জীবন আখিরাতের তুলনায় একটি ক্ষণস্থায়ী ভোগের সময় মাত্র।
Shakir
Allah amplifies and straitens the means of subsistence for whom He pleases; and they rejoice in this world's life, and this world's life is nothing compared with the hereafter but a temporary enjoyment.

ويقول الذين كفروا لولا أنزل عليه آية من ربه ۗ قل إن الله يضل من يشاء ويهدي إليه من أناب
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
কাফিররা বলে: ‘তার প্রতি তার প্রভুর নিকট থেকে কোনো নিদর্শন নাযিল হলোনা কেন?’ তুমি বলো: ‘‘ যাকে ইচ্ছা বিপথগামী করে দেন। আর তাঁর দিকে পথ দেখান তাদেরকেই যারা তাঁর অভিমুখী হয়,
Shakir
And those who disbelieve say: Why is not a sign sent down upon him by his Lord? Say: Surely Allah makes him who will go astray, and guides to Himself those who turn (to Him).
Arabic
الذين آمنوا وتطمئن قلوبهم بذكر الله ۗ ألا بذكر الله تطمئن القلوب
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
যারা ঈমান আনে এবং আল্লাহর স্মরণে যাদের কলব (অন্তর) প্রশান্তি লাভ করে।’’ জেনে রেখো, কেবল আল্লাহর স্মরণেই কলব প্রশান্তি লাভ করে থাকে।

Those who believe and whose hearts are set at rest by the remembrance of Allah; now surely by Allah's remembrance are the hearts set at rest.

الذين آمنوا وعملوا الصالحات طوبى لهم وحسن مآب
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
যারা ঈমান আনে এবং আমলে সালেহ্ করে, আনন্দ আর শুভ পরিণাম তাদেরই।
Shakir
(As for) those who believe and do good, a good final state shall be theirs and a goodly return.

كذلك أرسلناك في أمة قد خلت من قبلها أمم لتتلو عليهم الذي أوحينا إليك وهم يكفرون بالرحمن ۚ قل هو ربي لا إله إلا هو عليه توكلت وإليه متاب
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
(পূর্বের রসূলদের মতো) একইভাবে আমরা তোমাকে পাঠিয়েছি একটি উম্মতের কাছে। তাদের আগেও অতীত হয়েছে অনেক উম্মত। উদ্দেশ্য হলো: তুমি তাদের প্রতি তিলাওয়াত করবে যা আমরা তোমার কাছে নাযিল করেছি অহির মাধ্যমে। অথচ তারা দয়াময় রহমানের প্রতি কুফুরি করছে। তুমি বলো: ‘তিনিই আমার রব, তিনি ছাড়া আর কোনো ইলাহ্ নেই, তাঁরই উপর আমি তাওয়াক্কুল করেছি এবং তাঁরই কাছে হবে আমার প্রত্যাবর্তন।’
Shakir
And thus We have sent you among a nation before which other nations have passed away, that you might recite to them what We have revealed to you and (still) they deny the Beneficent Allah. Say: He is my Lord, there is no god but He; on Him do I rely and to Him is my return.

ولو أن قرآنا سيرت به الجبال أو قطعت به الأرض أو كلم به الموتى ۗ بل لله الأمر جميعا ۗ أفلم ييأس الذين آمنوا أن لو يشاء الله لهدى الناس جميعا ۗ ولا يزال الذين كفروا تصيبهم بما صنعوا قارعة أو تحل قريبا من دارهم حتى يأتي وعد الله ۚ إن الله لا يخلف الميعاد

যদি এমন কোনো কুরআন হতো যার স্পর্শে পর্বতমালা চলতো, কিংবা পৃথিবীকে বিদীর্ণ করা যেতো, অথবা তাতে মৃতদের সাথে কথা বলা যেতো (তবু তারা সেই কুরআনের প্রতি ঈমান আনতো না)। বরং সমস্ত কর্তৃত্ব আল্লাহর। যারা ঈমান এনেছে এখনো কি তাদের হতাশা কাটেনি যে, চাইলে সমস্ত মানুষকেই হিদায়াত করতে পারতেন? যারা কুফুরি করেছে তাদের কর্মকান্ডের জন্যে তাদের উপর আপদ আসতেই থাকবে। অথবা আপদ তাদের ঘরের আশে পাশেই ঘটতে থাকবে, যতোক্ষণ না আল্লাহর ওয়াদা (করা সময়টি) এসে পড়বে। কখনো ওয়াদা খেলাফ করেন না।
Shakir
And even if there were a Quran with which the mountains were made to pass away, or the earth were travelled over with it, or the dead were made to speak thereby; nay! the commandment is wholly Allah's, Have not yet those who believe known that if Allah please He would certainly guide all the people? And (as for) those who disbelieve, there will not cease to afflict them because of what they do a repelling calamity, or it will alight close by their abodes, until the promise of Allah comes about; surely Allah will not fail in (His) promise.

ولقد استهزئ برسل من قبلك فأمليت للذين كفروا ثم أخذتهم ۖ فكيف كان عقاب
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তোমার আগেকার বহু রসূলকেই বিদ্রূপ করা হয়েছিল। ফলে যারা কুফুরি করেছিল, আমরা তাদেরকে কিছুটা অবকাশ দিয়েছিলাম, অত:পর তাদের পাকড়াও করেছি। কেমন ছিলো আমার শাস্তি?
Shakir
And apostles before you were certainly mocked at, but I gave respite to those who disbelieved, then I destroyed them; how then was My requital (of evil)?

أفمن هو قائم على كل نفس بما كسبت ۗ وجعلوا لله شركاء قل سموهم ۚ أم تنبئونه بما لا يعلم في الأرض أم بظاهر من القول ۗ بل زين للذين كفروا مكرهم وصدوا عن السبيل ۗ ومن يضلل الله فما له من هاد

তবে কি প্রতিটি মানুষ যা উপার্জন (আমল) করে, যিনি তার পর্যবেক্ষক, তিনি তাদের অক্ষম ইলাহ্গুলোর মতো? তারপরও তারা আল্লাহর সাথে শরিক বানিয়ে নিয়েছে। বলো: ‘তাদের পরিচয় দাও।’ তোমরা কি পৃথিবীর মধ্যে তাঁকে এমন কিছুর সংবাদ দিতে চাও, যা তিনি জানেন না? নাকি তা বাহ্যিক কথা মাত্র? বরং কাফিরদের কাছে তাদের চক্রান্তগুলোকে শোভনীয় করে দেয়া হয়েছে এবং তাদেরকে বাধা দেয়া হয়েছে সঠিক পথ থেকে। আর যাদের বিপথগামী করে দেন, তাদের কোনো হাদি (সঠিক পথ প্রদর্শক) নেই।
Shakir
Is He then Who watches every soul as to what it earns? And yet they give associates to Allah! Say: Give them a name; nay, do you mean to inform Him of what He does not know in the earth, or (do you affirm this) by an outward saying? Rather, their plans are made to appear fair - seeming to those who disbelieve, and they are kept back from the path; and whom Allah makes err, he shall have no guide.

لهم عذاب في الحياة الدنيا ۖ ولعذاب الآخرة أشق ۖ وما لهم من الله من واق

দুনিয়ার জীবনেও তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে আযাব, আর আখিরাতের আযাব তো আরো কঠোর। আল্লাহর আযাব থেকে বাঁচানোর জন্যে তাদের কোনো রক্ষাকারী নেই।
Shakir
They shall have chastisement in this world's life, and the chastisement of the hereafter is certainly more grievous, and they shall have no protector against Allah.

۞ مثل الجنة التي وعد المتقون ۖ تجري من تحتها الأنهار ۖ أكلها دائم وظلها ۚ تلك عقبى الذين اتقوا ۖ وعقبى الكافرين النار

মুত্তাকিদের যে জান্নাতের প্রতিশ্রুতি দেয়া হয়েছে তার উপমা হলো এরকম, যেমন তার নিচে দিয়ে বহমান থাকবে নদ - নদী - নহর, তার ফলন ও ছায়া হবে চিরস্থায়ী। এটাই মুত্তাকিদের (শুভ) পরিণাম। আর কাফিরদের পরিণাম হলো জাহান্নাম।
Shakir
A likeness of the garden which the righteous are promised; there now beneath it rivers, its food and shades are perpetual; this is the requital of those who guarded (against evil), and the requital of the unbelievers is the fire.

والذين آتيناهم الكتاب يفرحون بما أنزل إليك ۖ ومن الأحزاب من ينكر بعضه ۚ قل إنما أمرت أن أعبد الله ولا أشرك به ۚ إليه أدعو وإليه مآب

যাদেরকে আমরা কিতাব দিয়েছি, তোমার প্রতি যা নাযিল করা হয়েছে তাতে তারা আনন্দ পায়। কিন্তু কোনো কোনো দল সেটার কিছু কিছু অংশ অস্বীকার করে। বলো: ‘আমাকে নির্দেশ দেয়া হয়েছে আমি যেনো এক আল্লাহর ইবাদত করি এবং তাঁর সাথে কাউকেও শরিক না করি। আমি তাঁরই দিকে আহবান জানাই এবং তাঁরই কাছে হবে আমার প্রত্যাবর্তন।
Shakir
And those to whom We have given the Book rejoice in that which has been revealed to you, and of the confederates are some who deny a part of it. Say: I am only commanded that I should serve Allah and not associate anything with Him, to Him do I invite (you) and to Him is my return.
Arabic
وكذلك أنزلناه حكما عربيا ۚ ولئن اتبعت أهواءهم بعدما جاءك من العلم ما لك من الله من ولي ولا واق
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
এভাবেই আমরা সেটিকে নাযিল করেছি একটি বিধান হিসাবে আরবি ভাষায়। তোমার কাছে এলেম আসার পর তুমি যদি তাদের ইচ্ছা বাসনার ইত্তেবা (অনুসরণ) করো, তাহলে আল্লাহর পক্ষ থেকে তোমার কোনো অভিভাবক এবং রক্ষাকারী থাকবে না।
Shakir
And thus have We revealed it, a true judgment in Arabic, and if you follow their low desires after what has come to you of knowledge, you shall not have against Allah any guardian or a protector.

ولقد أرسلنا رسلا من قبلك وجعلنا لهم أزواجا وذرية ۚ وما كان لرسول أن يأتي بآية إلا بإذن الله ۗ لكل أجل كتاب
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তোমার আগেও আমরা বহু রসূল পাঠিয়েছিলাম এবং তাদেরও দিয়েছিলাম স্ত্রী এবং সন্তান - সন্ততি। আল্লাহর অনুমতি ছাড়া কোনো নিদর্শন উপস্থিত করা কোনো রসূলের কাজ নয়। প্রত্যেক বিষয়েরই নির্ধারিত মেয়াদ লেখা রয়েছে।
Shakir
And certainly We sent apostles before you and gave them wives and children, and it is not in (the power of) an apostle to bring a sign except by Allah's permission; for every term there is an appointment.
Arabic
يمحو الله ما يشاء ويثبت ۖ وعنده أم الكتاب
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
যা ইচ্ছা করেন তা মুছে দেন এবং যা ইচ্ছা করেন তা প্রতিষ্ঠিত রাখেন। আর তাঁর কাছেই রয়েছে ‘উম্মুল কিতাব’ (মূল কিতাব, Mother Book)।
Shakir
Allah makes to pass away and establishes what He pleases, and with Him is the basis of the Book.
Arabic
وإن ما نرينك بعض الذي نعدهم أو نتوفينك فإنما عليك البلاغ وعلينا الحساب
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
(হে মুহাম্মদ!) তাদেরকে আমরা যে শাস্তির প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছি তার কিছুটা যদি তোমার জীবদ্দশাতেই তোমাকে দেখাই, কিংবা যদি তার আগেই তোমার ওফাত ঘটিয়ে দেই (তাতে কিছু যায় আসেনা, সর্বাবস্থায়ই) তোমার দায়িত্ব তো কেবল (বার্তা) পৌঁছে দেয়া, আর আমাদের দায়িত্ব হিসাব নেয়া।
Shakir
And We will either let you see part of what We threaten them with or cause you to die, for only the delivery of the message is (incumbent) on you, while calling (them) to account is Our (business).
Arabic
أولم يروا أنا نأتي الأرض ننقصها من أطرافها ۚ والله يحكم لا معقب لحكمه ۚ وهو سريع الحساب

তারা কি দেখেনা, আমরা তাদের ভূ - খন্ডকে চারদিক থেকে সংকুচিত করে আনছি? ফায়সালা তো করেন । তাঁর ফায়সালা রদ করার কেউ নেই। তিনি হিসাব গ্রহণে দ্রুত।
Shakir
Do they not see that We are bringing destruction upon the land by curtailing it of its sides? And Allah pronounces a doom - - there is no repeller of His decree, and He is swift to take account.
Arabic
وقد مكر الذين من قبلهم فلله المكر جميعا ۖ يعلم ما تكسب كل نفس ۗ وسيعلم الكفار لمن عقبى الدار
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তাদের পূর্বেকার কাফিররাও (রসূলদের বিরুদ্ধে) ষড়যন্ত্র করেছিল। অথচ সব চক্রান্ত আল্লাহর এখতিয়ারে। প্রতিটি মানুষ যা কামাই করে, তা জানেন। অচিরেই কাফিররা জানতে পারবে শুভ পরিণামের ঘর কার?
Shakir
And those before them did indeed make plans, but all planning is Allah's; He knows what every soul earns, and the unbelievers shall come to know for whom is the (better) issue of the abode.
Arabic
ويقول الذين كفروا لست مرسلا ۚ قل كفى بالله شهيدا بيني وبينكم ومن عنده علم الكتاب
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
কাফিররা বলে: তুমি আল্লাহর প্রেরিত রসূল নও। তুমি বলো: ‘আল্লাহ্ই আমার এবং তোমাদের মাঝে সাক্ষী হিসাবে যথেষ্ট, আর যাদের কাছে কিতাবের জ্ঞান আছে তারা।’
Shakir
And those who disbelieve say: You are not a messenger. Say: Allah is sufficient as a witness between me and you and whoever has knowledge of the Book.
