On the Day you see it every nursing mother will be distracted from that [child] she was nursing, and every pregnant woman will abort her pregnancy, and you will see the people [appearing] intoxicated while they are not intoxicated; but the punishment of Allah is severe.

ومن الناس من يجادل في الله بغير علم ويتبع كل شيطان مريد

And of the people is he who disputes about Allah without knowledge and follows every rebellious devil.

كتب عليه أنه من تولاه فأنه يضله ويهديه إلى عذاب السعير

তাহার সম্বন্ধে এই নিয়ম করিয়া দেওয়া হইয়াছে যে, যে কেহ তাহার সঙ্গে বন্ধুত্ব করিবে সে তাহাকে পথভ্রষ্ট করিবে এবং তাহাকে পরিচালিত করিবে অগ্নির শাস্তির দিকে।
It has been decreed for every devil that whoever turns to him - he will misguide him and will lead him to the punishment of the Blaze.

يا أيها الناس إن كنتم في ريب من البعث فإنا خلقناكم من تراب ثم من نطفة ثم من علقة ثم من مضغة مخلقة وغير مخلقة لنبين لكم ۚ ونقر في الأرحام ما نشاء إلى أجل مسمى ثم نخرجكم طفلا ثم لتبلغوا أشدكم ۖ ومنكم من يتوفى ومنكم من يرد إلى أرذل العمر لكيلا يعلم من بعد علم شيئا ۚ وترى الأرض هامدة فإذا أنزلنا عليها الماء اهتزت وربت وأنبتت من كل زوج بهيج

হে মানুষ ! পুনরুত্থান সম্বন্ধে যদি তোমরা সন্দিগ্ধ হও তবে অবধান কর - আমি তোমাদেরকে সৃষ্টি করিয়াছি মৃত্তিকা হইতে, তাহার পর রক্ত হইতে, তাহার পর ‘আলাকা’ হইতে, তাহার পর পূর্ণাকৃতি অথবা অপূর্ণাকৃতি গোশত্পিণ্ড হইতে - তোমাদের নিকট ব্যক্ত করিবার জন্য, আমি যাহা ইচ্ছা করি তাহা এক নির্দিষ্ট কালের জন্য মাতৃগর্ভে স্থিত রাখি, তাহার পর আমি তোমাদেরকে শিশুরূপে বাহির করি, পরে যাহাতে তোমরা পরিণত বয়সে উপনীত হও। তোমাদের মধ্যে কাহারও কাহারও মৃত্যু ঘটান হয় এবং তোমাদের মধ্যে কাহাকেও কাহাকেও প্রত্যাবৃত্ত করা হয় হীনতম বয়সে, যাহার ফলে উহারা যাহা কিছু জানিত সে সম্বন্ধে উহারা সজ্ঞান থাকে না। তুমি ভূমিকে দেখ শুষ্ক, অতঃপর উহাতে আমি বারি বর্ষণ করিলে উহা শস্য - শ্যামলা হইয়া আন্দোলিত ও স্ফীত হয় এবং উদ্গত করে সর্বপ্রকার নয়নাভিরাম উদ্ভিদ;
O People, if you should be in doubt about the Resurrection, then [consider that] indeed, We created you from dust, then from a sperm - drop, then from a clinging clot, and then from a lump of flesh, formed and unformed - that We may show you. And We settle in the wombs whom We will for a specified term, then We bring you out as a child, and then [We develop you] that you may reach your [time of] maturity. And among you is he who is taken in [early] death, and among you is he who is returned to the most decrepit [old] age so that he knows, after [once having] knowledge, nothing. And you see the earth barren, but when We send down upon it rain, it quivers and swells and grows [something] of every beautiful kind.

ذلك بأن الله هو الحق وأنه يحيي الموتى وأنه على كل شيء قدير

Twisting his neck [in arrogance] to mislead [people] from the way of Allah. For him in the world is disgrace, and We will make him taste on the Day of Resurrection the punishment of the Burning Fire [while it is said],

ذلك بما قدمت يداك وأن الله ليس بظلام للعبيد

সেদিন তাহাকে বলা হইবে, ‘ইহা তোমার কৃতকর্মেরই ফল, কারণ বান্দাদের প্রতি জুলুম করেন না।’
"That is for what your hands have put forth and because Allah is not ever unjust to [His] servants."

ومن الناس من يعبد الله على حرف ۖ فإن أصابه خير اطمأن به ۖ وإن أصابته فتنة انقلب على وجهه خسر الدنيا والآخرة ۚ ذلك هو الخسران المبين

মানুষের মধ্যে কেহ কেহ ‘ইবাদত করে দ্বিধার সঙ্গে; তাহার মঙ্গল হইলে তাহাতে তাহার চিত্ত প্রশান্ত হয় এবং কোন বিপর্যয় ঘটিলে সে তাহার পূর্বাবস্থায় ফিরিয়া যায়। সে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয় দুনিয়াতে ও আখিরাতে ; ইহাই তো সুস্পষ্ট ক্ষতি।
And of the people is he who worships Allah on an edge. If he is touched by good, he is reassured by it; but if he is struck by trial, he turns on his face [to the other direction]. He has lost [this] world and the Hereafter. That is what is the manifest loss.

يدعو من دون الله ما لا يضره وما لا ينفعه ۚ ذلك هو الضلال البعيد

সে পরিবর্তে এমন কিছুকে ডাকে যাহা উহার কোন অপকার করিতে পারে না, উপকারও করিতে পারে না; ইহাই চরম বিভ্রান্তি।
Indeed, Allah will admit those who believe and do righteous deeds to gardens beneath which rivers flow. Indeed, Allah does what He intends.

من كان يظن أن لن ينصره الله في الدنيا والآخرة فليمدد بسبب إلى السماء ثم ليقطع فلينظر هل يذهبن كيده ما يغيظ

যে কেহ মনে করে, তাহাকে কখনই দুনিয়া ও আখিরাতে সাহায্য করিবেন না, সে আকাশের দিকে একটি রজ্জু বিলম্বিত করুক, পরে উহা বিচ্ছিন্ন করুক; অতঃপর দেখুক তাহার প্রচেষ্টা তাহার আক্রোশের হেতু দূর করে কি না।
Whoever should think that Allah will not support [Prophet Muhammad] in this world and the Hereafter - let him extend a rope to the ceiling, then cut off [his breath], and let him see: will his effort remove that which enrages [him]?

وكذلك أنزلناه آيات بينات وأن الله يهدي من يريد

এইভাবেই আমি সুস্পষ্ট নিদর্শনরূপে উহা অবতীর্ণ করিয়াছি; আর তো যাহাকে ইচ্ছা সৎপথ প্রদর্শন করেন।
And thus have We sent the Qur'an down as verses of clear evidence and because Allah guides whom He intends.

إن الذين آمنوا والذين هادوا والصابئين والنصارى والمجوس والذين أشركوا إن الله يفصل بينهم يوم القيامة ۚ إن الله على كل شيء شهيد

নিশ্চয়ই যাহারা ঈমান আনিয়াছে এবং যাহারা ইয়াহূদী হইয়াছে, যাহারা সাবিয়ী, খ্রিস্টান ও অগ্নিপূজক এবং যাহারা মুশরিক হইয়াছে কিয়ামতের দিন তাহাদের মধ্যে ফয়সালা করিয়া দিবেন সব কিছুর সম্যক প্রত্যক্ষকারী।
Indeed, those who have believed and those who were Jews and the Sabeans and the Christians and the Magians and those who associated with Allah - Allah will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed Allah is, over all things, Witness.

ألم تر أن الله يسجد له من في السماوات ومن في الأرض والشمس والقمر والنجوم والجبال والشجر والدواب وكثير من الناس ۖ وكثير حق عليه العذاب ۗ ومن يهن الله فما له من مكرم ۚ إن الله يفعل ما يشاء ۩

তুমি কি দেখ না যে, সিজ্দা করে যাহা কিছু আছে আকাশমণ্ডলীতে ও পৃথিবীতে, সূর্য, চন্দ্র, নক্ষত্রমণ্ডলী, পর্বতরাজি, বৃক্ষলতা, জীবজন্তু এবং সিজ্দা করে মানুষের মধ্যে অনেকে? আবার অনেকের প্রতি অবধারিত হইয়াছে শাস্তি। যাহাকে হেয় করেন তাকে কেউ সম্মান দিতে পারে না। যা ইচ্ছা তাই করেন।
Do you not see that to Allah prostrates whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth and the sun, the moon, the stars, the mountains, the trees, the moving creatures and many of the people? But upon many the punishment has been justified. And he whom Allah humiliates - for him there is no bestower of honor. Indeed, Allah does what He wills.

۞ هذان خصمان اختصموا في ربهم ۖ فالذين كفروا قطعت لهم ثياب من نار يصب من فوق رءوسهم الحميم

ইহারা দুইটি বিবদমান পক্ষ, তাহারা তাহাদের প্রতিপালক সম্বন্ধে বিতর্ক করে ; যাহারা করে তাহাদের জন্য প্রস্তুত করা হইয়াছে আগুনের পোশাক, তাহাদের মাথার উপর ঢালিয়া দেওয়া হইবে ফুটন্ত পানি,
These are two adversaries who have disputed over their Lord. But those who disbelieved will have cut out for them garments of fire. Poured upon their heads will be scalding water

And for [striking] them are maces of iron.

كلما أرادوا أن يخرجوا منها من غم أعيدوا فيها وذوقوا عذاب الحريق
Every time they want to get out of Hellfire from anguish, they will be returned to it, and [it will be said], "Taste the punishment of the Burning Fire!"

إن الله يدخل الذين آمنوا وعملوا الصالحات جنات تجري من تحتها الأنهار يحلون فيها من أساور من ذهب ولؤلؤا ۖ ولباسهم فيها حرير

যাহারা ঈমান আনে ও সৎকর্ম করে তাহাদেরকে দাখিল করিবেন জান্নাতে যাহার পাদদেশে নদী প্রবাহিত, সেখানে তাহাদেরকে অলঙ্কৃত করা হইবে স্বর্ণ - কঙ্কন ও মুক্তা দ্বারা এবং সেখানে তাহাদের পোশাক - পরিচ্ছদ হইবে রেশমের।
Indeed, Allah will admit those who believe and do righteous deeds to gardens beneath which rivers flow. They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearl, and their garments therein will be silk.

وهدوا إلى الطيب من القول وهدوا إلى صراط الحميد

তাহাদেরকে পবিত্র বাক্যের অনুগামী করা হইয়াছিল এবং তাহারা পরিচালিত হইয়াছিল পরম প্রশংসাভাজন আল্লাহর পথে।
And they had been guided [in worldly life] to good speech, and they were guided to the path of the Praiseworthy.

إن الذين كفروا ويصدون عن سبيل الله والمسجد الحرام الذي جعلناه للناس سواء العاكف فيه والباد ۚ ومن يرد فيه بإلحاد بظلم نذقه من عذاب أليم

যাহারা করে এবং মানুষকে নিবৃত্ত করে আল্লাহর পথ হইতে ও মসজিদুল হারাম হইতে, যাহা আমি করিয়াছি স্থানীয় ও বহিরাগত সকলের জন্য সমান, আর যে ইচ্ছা করে সীমালংঘন করিয়া উহাতে পাপ কার্যের, তাহাকে আমি আস্বাদন করাইব মর্মন্তুদ শাস্তির।
Indeed, those who have disbelieved and avert [people] from the way of Allah and [from] al - Masjid al - Haram, which We made for the people - equal are the resident therein and one from outside; and [also] whoever intends [a deed] therein of deviation [in religion] or wrongdoing - We will make him taste of a painful punishment.

وإذ بوأنا لإبراهيم مكان البيت أن لا تشرك بي شيئا وطهر بيتي للطائفين والقائمين والركع السجود

এবং স্মরণ কর, যখন আমি ইব্রাহীমের জন্য নির্ধারণ করিয়া দিয়াছিলাম সেই গৃহের স্থান, তখন বলিয়াছিলাম, ‘আমার সঙ্গে কোন শরীক স্থির করিও না এবং আমার গৃহকে পবিত্র রাখিও তাহাদের জন্য যাহারা তাওয়াফ করে এবং যাহারা সালাতে দাঁড়ায়, রুকূ‘ করে ও সিজ্দা করে।
And [mention, O Muhammad], when We designated for Abraham the site of the House, [saying], "Do not associate anything with Me and purify My House for those who perform Tawaf and those who stand [in prayer] and those who bow and prostrate.

وأذن في الناس بالحج يأتوك رجالا وعلى كل ضامر يأتين من كل فج عميق

And proclaim to the people the Hajj [pilgrimage]; they will come to you on foot and on every lean camel; they will come from every distant pass -

ليشهدوا منافع لهم ويذكروا اسم الله في أيام معلومات على ما رزقهم من بهيمة الأنعام ۖ فكلوا منها وأطعموا البائس الفقير

যাহাতে তাহারা তাহাদের কল্যাণময় স্থানগুলিতে উপস্থিত হইতে পারে এবং তিনি তাহাদেরকে চতুষ্পদ জন্তু হইতে যাহা রিযিক হিসাবে দান করিয়াছেন উহার উপর নিদির্ষ্ট দিনগুলিতে নাম উচ্চারণ করিতে পারে। অতঃপর তোমরা উহা হইতে আহার কর এবং দুস্থ, অভাবগ্রস্তকে আহার করাও।
That they may witness benefits for themselves and mention the name of Allah on known days over what He has provided for them of [sacrificial] animals. So eat of them and feed the miserable and poor.

ثم ليقضوا تفثهم وليوفوا نذورهم وليطوفوا بالبيت العتيق

অতঃপর তাহারা যেন তাহাদের অপরিচ্ছন্নতা দূর করে এবং তাহাদের মানত পূর্ণ করে এবং তাওয়াফ করে প্রাচীন গৃহের।
That [has been commanded], and whoever honors the sacred ordinances of Allah - it is best for him in the sight of his Lord. And permitted to you are the grazing livestock, except what is recited to you. So avoid the uncleanliness of idols and avoid false statement,

حنفاء لله غير مشركين به ۚ ومن يشرك بالله فكأنما خر من السماء فتخطفه الطير أو تهوي به الريح في مكان سحيق

আল্লাহর প্রতি একনিষ্ঠ হইয়া এবং তাঁহার কোন শরীক না করিয়া ; এবং যে কেহ শরীক করে সে যেন আকাশ হইতে পড়িল, অতঃপর পাখি তাহাকে ছোঁ মারিয়া লইয়া গেল, কিংবা বায়ু তাহাকে উড়াইয়া লইয়া গিয়া এক দূরবর্তী স্থানে নিক্ষেপ করিল।
Inclining [only] to Allah, not associating [anything] with Him. And he who associates with Allah - it is as though he had fallen from the sky and was snatched by the birds or the wind carried him down into a remote place.
For you the animals marked for sacrifice are benefits for a specified term; then their place of sacrifice is at the ancient House.

ولكل أمة جعلنا منسكا ليذكروا اسم الله على ما رزقهم من بهيمة الأنعام ۗ فإلهكم إله واحد فله أسلموا ۗ وبشر المخبتين

আমি প্রত্যেক সম্প্রদায়ের জন্য কুরবানীর নিয়ম করিয়া দিয়াছি; তিনি তাহাদেরকে জীবনোপকরণস্বরূপ যে সকল চতুষ্পদ জন্তু দিয়াছেন, সেগুলির উপর যেন তাহারা নাম উচ্চারণ করে। তোমাদের ইলাহ্ এক ইলাহ্, সুতরাং তাহারই নিকট আত্মসমর্পণ কর এবং সুসংবাদ দাও বিনীতগণকে -
And for all religion We have appointed a rite [of sacrifice] that they may mention the name of Allah over what He has provided for them of [sacrificial] animals. For your god is one God, so to Him submit. And, [O Muhammad], give good tidings to the humble [before their Lord]

الذين إذا ذكر الله وجلت قلوبهم والصابرين على ما أصابهم والمقيمي الصلاة ومما رزقناهم ينفقون

যাহাদের হৃদয় ভয়ে কম্পিত হয় নাম স্মরণ করা হইলে, যাহারা তাহাদের বিপদ - আপদে ধৈর্য ধারণ করে এবং কায়েম করে এবং আমি তাহাদেরকে যে রিযিক দিয়াছি তাহা হইতে ব্যয় করে।
Who, when Allah is mentioned, their hearts are fearful, and [to] the patient over what has afflicted them, and the establishers of prayer and those who spend from what We have provided them.

والبدن جعلناها لكم من شعائر الله لكم فيها خير ۖ فاذكروا اسم الله عليها صواف ۖ فإذا وجبت جنوبها فكلوا منها وأطعموا القانع والمعتر ۚ كذلك سخرناها لكم لعلكم تشكرون

এবং উষ্ট্রকে করিয়াছি নিদর্শনগুলির অন্যতম; তোমাদের জন্য উহাতে মঙ্গল রহিয়াছে। সুতরাং সারিবদ্ধভাবে দণ্ডায়মান অবস্থায় উহাদের উপর তোমরা নাম উচ্চারণ কর। যখন উহারা কাত হইয়া পড়িয়া যায় তখন তোমরা উহা হইতে আহার কর এবং আহার করাও ধৈর্যশীল অভাবগ্রস্তকে ও যাচ্ঞাকারী অভাবগ্রস্তকে ; এইভাবে আমি উহাদেরকে তোমাদের অধীন করিয়া দিয়াছি যাহাতে তোমরা কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ কর।
And the camels and cattle We have appointed for you as among the symbols of Allah; for you therein is good. So mention the name of Allah upon them when lined up [for sacrifice]; and when they are [lifeless] on their sides, then eat from them and feed the needy and the beggar. Thus have We subjected them to you that you may be grateful.

لن ينال الله لحومها ولا دماؤها ولكن يناله التقوى منكم ۚ كذلك سخرها لكم لتكبروا الله على ما هداكم ۗ وبشر المحسنين

কখনই নিকট পৌঁছায় না উহাদের গোশত্ এবং রক্ত, বরং পৌঁছায় তোমাদের তাক্ওয়া। এইভাবে তিনি ইহাদেরকে তোমাদের অধীন করিয়া দিয়াছেন যাহাতে তোমরা শ্রেষ্ঠত্ব ঘোষণা কর এইজন্য যে, তিনি তোমাদেরকে পথপ্রদর্শন করিয়াছেন; সুতরাং তুমি সুসংবাদ দাও সৎকর্মপরায়ণ - দেরকে।
Their meat will not reach Allah, nor will their blood, but what reaches Him is piety from you. Thus have We subjected them to you that you may glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and give good tidings to the doers of good.

۞ إن الله يدافع عن الذين آمنوا ۗ إن الله لا يحب كل خوان كفور

অবশ্যই রক্ষা করেন মু’মিনদেরকে, তিনি কোন বিশ্বাসঘাতক, অকৃতজ্ঞকে পসন্দ করেন না।
Permission [to fight] has been given to those who are being fought, because they were wronged. And indeed, Allah is competent to give them victory.

الذين أخرجوا من ديارهم بغير حق إلا أن يقولوا ربنا الله ۗ ولولا دفع الله الناس بعضهم ببعض لهدمت صوامع وبيع وصلوات ومساجد يذكر فيها اسم الله كثيرا ۗ ولينصرن الله من ينصره ۗ إن الله لقوي عزيز

তাহাদেরকে তাহাদের ঘর - বাড়ি হইতে অন্যায়ভাবে বহিষ্কার করা হইয়াছে শুধু এই কারণে যে, তাহারা বলে, ‘আমাদের প্রতিপালক যদি মানব জাতির এক দলকে অন্য দল দ্বারা প্রতিহত না করিতেন, তাহা হইলে বিধ্বস্ত হইয়া যাইত খ্রিস্টান সংসারবিরাগীদের উপাসনাস্থান, গির্জা, ইয়াহূদীদের উপাসনালয় এবং মসজিদসমূহ - যাহাতে অধিক স্মরণ করা হয় আল্লাহর নাম। নিশ্চয়ই তাহাকে সাহায্য করেন যে তাঁহাকে সাহায্য করে। নিশ্চয়ই শক্তিমান, পরাক্রমশালী।
[They are] those who have been evicted from their homes without right - only because they say, "Our Lord is Allah." And were it not that Allah checks the people, some by means of others, there would have been demolished monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques in which the name of Allah is much mentioned. And Allah will surely support those who support Him. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might.

الذين إن مكناهم في الأرض أقاموا الصلاة وآتوا الزكاة وأمروا بالمعروف ونهوا عن المنكر ۗ ولله عاقبة الأمور

আমি ইহাদেরকে পৃথিবীতে প্রতিষ্ঠা দান করিলে ইহারা কায়েম করিবে, যাকাত দিবে এবং সৎকর্মের নির্দেশ দিবে ও অসৎকর্ম নিষেধ করিবে; আর সকল কর্মের পরিণাম ইখতিয়ারে।
[And they are] those who, if We give them authority in the land, establish prayer and give zakah and enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong. And to Allah belongs the outcome of [all] matters.

وإن يكذبوك فقد كذبت قبلهم قوم نوح وعاد وثمود

And the inhabitants of Madyan. And Moses was denied, so I prolonged enjoyment for the disbelievers; then I seized them, and how [terrible] was My reproach.

فكأين من قرية أهلكناها وهي ظالمة فهي خاوية على عروشها وبئر معطلة وقصر مشيد

আমি ধ্বংস করিয়াছি কত জনপদ যেইগুলির বাসিন্দা ছিল । এইসব জনপদ তাহাদের ঘরের ছাদসহ ধ্বংসস্তূপে পরিণত হইয়াছিল এবং কত কূপ পরিত্যক্ত হইয়াছিল ও কত সুদৃঢ় প্রাসাদও।
And how many a city did We destroy while it was committing wrong - so it is [now] fallen into ruin - and [how many] an abandoned well and [how many] a lofty palace.

أفلم يسيروا في الأرض فتكون لهم قلوب يعقلون بها أو آذان يسمعون بها ۖ فإنها لا تعمى الأبصار ولكن تعمى القلوب التي في الصدور

তাহারা কি দেশ ভ্রমণ করে নাই? তাহা হইলে তাহারা জ্ঞানবুদ্ধি সম্পন্ন হৃদয় ও স্মৃতিশক্তি সম্পন্ন শ্রবণের অধিকারী হইতে পারিত। বস্তুত চক্ষু তো অন্ধ নয়, বরং অন্ধ হইতেছে বক্ষস্থিত হৃদয়।
So have they not traveled through the earth and have hearts by which to reason and ears by which to hear? For indeed, it is not eyes that are blinded, but blinded are the hearts which are within the breasts.

ويستعجلونك بالعذاب ولن يخلف الله وعده ۚ وإن يوما عند ربك كألف سنة مما تعدون

তাহারা তোমাকে শাস্তি ত্বরান্নিত করিতে বলে, অথচ তাহার প্রতিশ্রুতি কখনও ভঙ্গ করেন না। তোমার প্রতিপালকের নিকট একদিন তোমাদের গণনার সহস্র বৎসরের সমান;
And they urge you to hasten the punishment. But Allah will never fail in His promise. And indeed, a day with your Lord is like a thousand years of those which you count.

وكأين من قرية أمليت لها وهي ظالمة ثم أخذتها وإلي المصير

এবং আমি অবকাশ দিয়াছি কত জনপদকে যখন উহারা ছিল ; অতঃপর উহাদেরকে শাস্তি দিয়াছি এবং প্রত্যাবর্তন আমারই নিকট।
But the ones who strove against Our verses, [seeking] to cause failure - those are the companions of Hellfire.

وما أرسلنا من قبلك من رسول ولا نبي إلا إذا تمنى ألقى الشيطان في أمنيته فينسخ الله ما يلقي الشيطان ثم يحكم الله آياته ۗ والله عليم حكيم

আমি তোমার পূর্বে যে সমস্ত রাসূল কিংবা নবী প্রেরণ করিয়াছি তাহাদের কেহ যখনই কিছু আকাঙ্খা করিয়াছে, তখনই শয়তান তাহার আকাঙ্খায় কিছু প্রক্ষিপ্ত করিয়াছে, কিন্তু শয়তান যাহা প্রক্ষিপ্ত করে তাহা বিদূরিত করেন। অতঃপর তাঁহার আয়াতসমূহকে সু - প্রতষ্ঠিতি করেন এবং জ্ঞানময়, প্রজ্ঞাময়।
And We did not send before you any messenger or prophet except that when he spoke [or recited], Satan threw into it [some misunderstanding]. But Allah abolishes that which Satan throws in; then Allah makes precise His verses. And Allah is Knowing and Wise.

ليجعل ما يلقي الشيطان فتنة للذين في قلوبهم مرض والقاسية قلوبهم ۗ وإن الظالمين لفي شقاق بعيد

ইহা এইজন্য যে, শয়তান যাহা প্রক্ষিপ্ত করে তিনি উহাকে পরীক্ষাস্বরূপ করেন তাহাদের জন্য যাহাদের অন্তরে ব্যাধি রহিয়াছে ও যাহারা পাষাণ হৃদয়। নিশ্চয়ই জালিমরা দুস্তর মতভেদে রহিয়াছে।
[That is] so He may make what Satan throws in a trial for those within whose hearts is disease and those hard of heart. And indeed, the wrongdoers are in extreme dissension.

وليعلم الذين أوتوا العلم أنه الحق من ربك فيؤمنوا به فتخبت له قلوبهم ۗ وإن الله لهاد الذين آمنوا إلى صراط مستقيم

এবং এইজন্যও যে, যাহাদেরকে জ্ঞান দেওয়া হইয়াছে তাহারা যেন জানিতে পারে যে, ইহা তোমার প্রতিপালকের নিকট হইতে প্রেরিত সত্য; অতঃপর তাহারা যেন উহাতে বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে এবং তাহাদের অন্তর যেন উহার প্রতি অনুগত হয়। যাহারা ঈমান আনিয়াছে তাহাদেরকে অবশ্যই সরল পথে পরিচালিত করেন।
And so those who were given knowledge may know that it is the truth from your Lord and [therefore] believe in it, and their hearts humbly submit to it. And indeed is Allah the Guide of those who have believed to a straight path.

ولا يزال الذين كفروا في مرية منه حتى تأتيهم الساعة بغتة أو يأتيهم عذاب يوم عقيم

যাহারা করিয়াছে তাহারা উহাতে সন্দেহ পোষণ হইতে বিরত হইবে না, যতক্ষণ না উহাদের নিকট কিয়ামত আসিয়া পড়িবে আকস্মিকভাবে, অথবা আসিয়া পড়িবে এক বন্ধ্যা দিনের শাস্তি।
But those who disbelieve will not cease to be in doubt of it until the Hour comes upon them unexpectedly or there comes to them the punishment of a barren Day.

الملك يومئذ لله يحكم بينهم ۚ فالذين آمنوا وعملوا الصالحات في جنات النعيم

সেই দিন আধিপত্য; তিনিই তাহাদের বিচার করিবেন। সুতরাং যাহারা ঈমান আনে ও সৎকর্ম করে তাহারা অবস্থান করিবে সুখদ কাননে।
And they who disbelieved and denied Our signs - for those there will be a humiliating punishment.

والذين هاجروا في سبيل الله ثم قتلوا أو ماتوا ليرزقنهم الله رزقا حسنا ۚ وإن الله لهو خير الرازقين

এবং যাহারা হিজরত করিয়াছে পথে, অতঃপর নিহত হইয়াছে অথবা মারা গিয়াছে তাহাদেরকে অবশ্যই উৎকৃষ্ট জীবিকা দান করিবেন; আর নিশ্চয়ই তিনি তো সর্বোৎকৃষ্ট রিযিকদাতা।
And those who emigrated for the cause of Allah and then were killed or died - Allah will surely provide for them a good provision. And indeed, it is Allah who is the best of providers.

ليدخلنهم مدخلا يرضونه ۗ وإن الله لعليم حليم

তিনি তাহাদেরকে অবশ্যই এমন স্থানে দাখিল করিবেন যাহা তাহারা পসন্দ করিবে এবং
He will surely cause them to enter an entrance with which they will be pleased, and indeed, Allah is Knowing and Forbearing.

۞ ذلك ومن عاقب بمثل ما عوقب به ثم بغي عليه لينصرنه الله ۗ إن الله لعفو غفور

ইহাই হইয়া থাকে, কোন ব্যক্তি নিপীড়িত হইয়া তুল্য প্রতিশোধ গ্রহণ করিলে ও পুনরায় সে অত্যাচারিত হইলে তাহাকে অবশ্যই সাহায্য করিবেন ; নিশ্চয়ই পাপ মোচনকারী, ক্ষমাশীল।
That [is so]. And whoever responds [to injustice] with the equivalent of that with which he was harmed and then is tyrannized - Allah will surely aid him. Indeed, Allah is Pardoning and Forgiving.

ذلك بأن الله يولج الليل في النهار ويولج النهار في الليل وأن الله سميع بصير

উহা এইজন্য যে, রাত্রিকে প্রবিষ্ট করান দিবসের মধ্যে এবং দিবসকে প্রবিষ্ট করান রাত্রির মধ্যে এবং সর্বশ্রোতা, সম্যক দ্রষ্টা;
To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth. And indeed, Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy.

ألم تر أن الله سخر لكم ما في الأرض والفلك تجري في البحر بأمره ويمسك السماء أن تقع على الأرض إلا بإذنه ۗ إن الله بالناس لرءوف رحيم

তুমি কি লক্ষ্য কর না যে, তোমাদের কল্যাণে নিয়োজিত করিয়াছেন পৃথিবীতে যাহা কিছু আছে তৎসমুদয়কে এবং তাঁহার নির্দেশে সমুদ্রে বিচরণশীল নৌযানসমূহকে? আর তিনিই আকাশকে স্থির রাখেন যাহাতে উহা পতিত না হয় পৃথিবীর উপর তাঁহার অনুমতি ব্যতীত। ভূপৃষ্টে পততি হয় না। নিশ্চয় মানুষরে প্রতি করুণাশীল, দয়াবান।
Do you not see that Allah has subjected to you whatever is on the earth and the ships which run through the sea by His command? And He restrains the sky from falling upon the earth, unless by His permission. Indeed Allah, to the people, is Kind and Merciful.

وهو الذي أحياكم ثم يميتكم ثم يحييكم ۗ إن الإنسان لكفور

এবং তিনিই তোমাদেরকে জীবন দান করিয়াছেন ; অতঃপর তিনিই তোমাদের মৃত্যু ঘটাইবেন, পুনরায় তোমাদেরকে জীবন দান করিবেন। মানুষ তো অতি মাত্রায় অকৃতজ্ঞ।
And He is the one who gave you life; then He causes you to die and then will [again] give you life. Indeed, mankind is ungrateful.

لكل أمة جعلنا منسكا هم ناسكوه ۖ فلا ينازعنك في الأمر ۚ وادع إلى ربك ۖ إنك لعلى هدى مستقيم

আমি প্রত্যেক সম্প্রদায়ের জন্য নির্ধারিত করিয়া দিয়াছি ‘ইবাদত পদ্ধতি - যাহা উহারা অনুসরণ করে। সুতরাং উহারা যেন তোমার সঙ্গে বিতর্ক না করে এই ব্যাপারে। তুমি উহাদেরকে তোমার প্রতিপালকের দিকে আহ্বান কর, তুমি তো সরল পথেই প্রতিষ্ঠিত।
For every religion We have appointed rites which they perform. So, [O Muhammad], let the disbelievers not contend with you over the matter but invite them to your Lord. Indeed, you are upon straight guidance.

وإن جادلوك فقل الله أعلم بما تعملون

উহারা যদি তোমার সঙ্গে বিতণ্ডা করে তবে বলিও, ‘তোমরা যাহা কর সে সম্বন্ধে আল্লাহর সম্যক অবহিত।
Do you not know that Allah knows what is in the heaven and earth? Indeed, that is in a Record. Indeed that, for Allah, is easy.

ويعبدون من دون الله ما لم ينزل به سلطانا وما ليس لهم به علم ۗ وما للظالمين من نصير
সমকালীন বাংলা
এবং উহারা ‘ইবাদত করে আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে এমন কিছুর যাহার সম্পর্কে তিনি কোন দলীল প্রেরণ করেন নাই এবং যাহার সম্বন্ধে তাহাদের কোন জ্ঞান নাই। আর জালিমদের কোন সাহায্যকারী নাই।
And they worship besides Allah that for which He has not sent down authority and that of which they have no knowledge. And there will not be for the wrongdoers any helper.

وإذا تتلى عليهم آياتنا بينات تعرف في وجوه الذين كفروا المنكر ۖ يكادون يسطون بالذين يتلون عليهم آياتنا ۗ قل أفأنبئكم بشر من ذلكم ۗ النار وعدها الله الذين كفروا ۖ وبئس المصير

এবং উহাদের নিকট আমার সুস্পষ্ট আয়াতসমূহ তিলাওয়াত করা হইলে তুমি কাফিরদের মুখমণ্ডলে অসন্তোষ লক্ষ্য করিবে। যাহারা উহাদের নিকট আমার আয়াত তিলাওয়াত করে তাহাদেরকে উহারা আক্রমণ করিতে উদ্যত হয়। বল, ‘তবে কি আমি তোমাদেরকে ইহা অপেক্ষা মন্দ কিছুর সংবাদ দিব? - ইহা আগুন। এই বিষয়ে আল্লাহর প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়াছেন কাফিরদেরকে এবং ইহা কত নিকৃষ্ট প্রত্যাবর্তনস্থল।’
And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, you recognize in the faces of those who disbelieve disapproval. They are almost on the verge of assaulting those who recite to them Our verses. Say, "Then shall I inform you of [what is] worse than that? [It is] the Fire which Allah has promised those who disbelieve, and wretched is the destination."

يا أيها الناس ضرب مثل فاستمعوا له ۚ إن الذين تدعون من دون الله لن يخلقوا ذبابا ولو اجتمعوا له ۖ وإن يسلبهم الذباب شيئا لا يستنقذوه منه ۚ ضعف الطالب والمطلوب

হে মানুষ ! একটি উপমা দেওয়া হইতেছে, মনোযোগ সহকারে উহা শ্রবণ কর : তোমরা আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে যাহাদেরকে ডাক তাহারা তো কখনও একটি মাছিও সৃষ্টি করিতে পারিবে না, এই উদ্দেশ্যে তাহারা সকলে একত্র হইলেও। এবং মাছি যদি কিছু ছিনাইয়া লইয়া যায় তাহাদের নিকট হইতে, ইহাও তাহারা উহার নিকট হইতে উদ্ধার করিতে পারিবে না। অন্বেষক ও অন্বেশিত কতই দুর্বল;
O people, an example is presented, so listen to it. Indeed, those you invoke besides Allah will never create [as much as] a fly, even if they gathered together for that purpose. And if the fly should steal away from them a [tiny] thing, they could not recover it from him. Weak are the pursuer and pursued.

ما قدروا الله حق قدره ۗ إن الله لقوي عزيز

তাঁরা আল্লাহর যথোচিত মর্যাদা উপলদ্ধি করে না, নিশ্চয়ই সর্বশক্তিমান, মহাপরাক্রমশালী।
O you who have believed, bow and prostrate and worship your Lord and do good - that you may succeed.

وجاهدوا في الله حق جهاده ۚ هو اجتباكم وما جعل عليكم في الدين من حرج ۚ ملة أبيكم إبراهيم ۚ هو سماكم المسلمين من قبل وفي هذا ليكون الرسول شهيدا عليكم وتكونوا شهداء على الناس ۚ فأقيموا الصلاة وآتوا الزكاة واعتصموا بالله هو مولاكم ۖ فنعم المولى ونعم النصير

এবং জিহাদ কর পথে যেভাবে জিহাদ করা উচিত। তিনি তোমাদেরকে মনোনীত করিয়াছেন। তিনি দীনের ব্যাপারে তোমাদের উপর কোন কঠোরতা আরোপ করেন নাই। ইহা তোমাদের পিতা ইব্রাহীমের তিনি পূর্বে তোমাদের নামকরণ করিয়াছেন ‘মুসলিম’ এবং এই কিতাবেও ; যাহাতে রাসূল তোমাদের জন্য সাক্ষীস্বরূপ হয় এবং তোমরা সাক্ষীস্বরূপ হও মানব জাতির জন্য। সুতরাং তোমরা কায়েম কর, যাকাত দাও এবং অবলম্বন কর ; তিনিই তোমাদের অভিভাবক, কত উত্তম অভিভাবক এবং কত উত্তম সাহায্যকারী তিনি !
And strive for Allah with the striving due to Him. He has chosen you and has not placed upon you in the religion any difficulty. [It is] the religion of your father, Abraham. Allah named you "Muslims" before [in former scriptures] and in this [revelation] that the Messenger may be a witness over you and you may be witnesses over the people. So establish prayer and give zakah and hold fast to Allah. He is your protector; and excellent is the protector, and excellent is the helper.
