بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم قد سمع الله قول التي تجادلك في زوجها وتشتكي إلى الله والله يسمع تحاوركما ۚ إن الله سميع بصير
Yusuf Ali
Allah has indeed heard (and accepted) the statement of the woman who pleads with thee concerning her husband and carries her complaint (in prayer) to Allah: and Allah (always) hears the arguments between both sides among you: for Allah hears and sees (all things).

আলবৎ তার কথা শুনেছেন যে তার স্বামী সন্বন্ধে তোমার কাছে অনুযোগ করছে আর র নিকট ফরিয়াদ করছে, আর তোমাদের দুজনের কথোপকথন শুনেছেন। নিশ্চয় সর্বশ্রোতা, সম্যক দ্রষ্টা।
الذين يظاهرون منكم من نسائهم ما هن أمهاتهم ۖ إن أمهاتهم إلا اللائي ولدنهم ۚ وإنهم ليقولون منكرا من القول وزورا ۚ وإن الله لعفو غفور
Yusuf Ali
If any men among you divorce their wives by Zihar (calling them mothers), they cannot be their mothers: None can be their mothers except those who gave them birth. And in fact they use words (both) iniquitous and false: but truly Allah is one that blots out (sins), and forgives (again and again).

তোমাদের মধ্যের যারা তাদের স্ত্রীদের থেকে 'যিহার’ করে, - - তারা তাদের মা নয়। তাদের মায়েরা তো শুধু যারা তাদের জন্মদান করেছে তারা বৈ তো নয়। আর তারা তো নিঃসন্দেহ কথা বলছে এক গর্হিত কথা ও একটি ডাহা মিথ্যা। আর নিঃসন্দেহ নিশ্চিত মার্জনাকারী, পরিত্রাণকারী।
والذين يظاهرون من نسائهم ثم يعودون لما قالوا فتحرير رقبة من قبل أن يتماسا ۚ ذلكم توعظون به ۚ والله بما تعملون خبير
Yusuf Ali
But those who divorce their wives by Zihar, then wish to go back on the words they uttered, - (It is ordained that such a one) should free a slave before they touch each other: Thus are ye admonished to perform: and Allah is well - acquainted with (all) that ye do.
জহুরুল হক
আর যারা তাদের স্ত্রীদের থেকে 'যিহার’ করে, তারপর তারা যা বলেছে তা প্রত্যাহার করে, সেক্ষেত্রে একে - অপরকে স্পর্শ করার পূর্বে একটি দাসের মুক্তিদান। এইটির দ্বারাই তোমাদের নির্দেশ দেওয়া হলো। আর তোমরা যা করছ সে - সন্বন্ধে চির - ওয়াকিফহাল।
فمن لم يجد فصيام شهرين متتابعين من قبل أن يتماسا ۖ فمن لم يستطع فإطعام ستين مسكينا ۚ ذلك لتؤمنوا بالله ورسوله ۚ وتلك حدود الله ۗ وللكافرين عذاب أليم
Yusuf Ali
And if any has not (the wherewithal), he should fast for two months consecutively before they touch each other. But if any is unable to do so, he should feed sixty indigent ones, this, that ye may show your faith in Allah and His Messenger. Those are limits (set by) Allah. For those who reject (Him), there is a grievous Penalty.
জহুরুল হক
কিন্ত যে খোঁজে পায় না, তবে একে - অপরকে স্পর্শ করার পূর্বে পরপর দুই মাস রোযা রাখা। কিন্ত যে শক্তি রাখে না, তা’হলে ষাটজন অভাবগ্রস্তকে খাওয়ানো। এ এজন্য যে তোমরা যেন ও তাঁর রসূলের প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন কর, আর এগুলো হচ্ছে র বিধি - নিষেধ। আর অবিশ্বাসীদের জন্য রয়েছে মর্মন্তুদ শাস্তি।
إن الذين يحادون الله ورسوله كبتوا كما كبت الذين من قبلهم ۚ وقد أنزلنا آيات بينات ۚ وللكافرين عذاب مهين
Yusuf Ali
Those who resist Allah and His Messenger will be humbled to dust, as were those before them: for We have already sent down Clear Signs. And the Unbelievers (will have) a humiliating Penalty, -
জহুরুল হক
নিঃসন্দেহ যারা ও তাঁর রসূলের বিরুদ্ধাচরণ করে তাদের অপদস্থ করা হবে যেমন অপদস্থ করা হয়ে ছিল তাদের যারা ছিল এদের পূর্ববর্তী, আর আমরা সুস্পষ্ট নির্দেশাবলী অবতারণ করেই দিয়েছি। আর অবিশ্বাসীদের জন্য রয়েছে লাঞ্ছনাদায়ক শাস্তি।
يوم يبعثهم الله جميعا فينبئهم بما عملوا ۚ أحصاه الله ونسوه ۚ والله على كل شيء شهيد
Yusuf Ali
On the Day that Allah will raise them all up (again) and show them the Truth (and meaning) of their conduct. Allah has reckoned its (value), though they may have forgotten it, for Allah is Witness to all things.
জহুরুল হক
একদিন তাদেরকে একই সঙ্গে উঠিয়ে আনবেন, তখন তিনি তাদের জানিয়ে দেবেন কি তারা করেছিল। এর হিসাব রেখেছেন যদিও তারা তা ভুলে গেছে। বস্তুত সব - কিছুর উপরে সাক্ষী রয়েছেন।
ألم تر أن الله يعلم ما في السماوات وما في الأرض ۖ ما يكون من نجوى ثلاثة إلا هو رابعهم ولا خمسة إلا هو سادسهم ولا أدنى من ذلك ولا أكثر إلا هو معهم أين ما كانوا ۖ ثم ينبئهم بما عملوا يوم القيامة ۚ إن الله بكل شيء عليم
Yusuf Ali
Seest thou not that Allah doth know (all) that is in the heavens and on earth? There is not a secret consultation between three, but He makes the fourth among them, - Nor between five but He makes the sixth, - nor between fewer nor more, but He is in their midst, wheresoever they be: In the end will He tell them the truth of their conduct, on the Day of Judgment. For Allah has full knowledge of all things.

তুমি কি লক্ষ্য কর নি যে জানেন যা - কিছু আছে মহাকাশমন্ডলে ও যা - কিছু রয়েছে পৃথিবীতে? তিনজনের কোনো গোপন পরামর্শ - সভা নেই যেখানে তিনি তাদের চতুর্থজন নন, আর পাঁচজনেরও নেই যেখানে তিনি তাদের ষষ্ঠজন নন, আর এর চেয়ে কম হোক অথবা বেশী হোক, সর্বাবস্থায় তিনি তাদের সঙ্গে রয়েছেন যেখানেই তারা থাকুক না কেন। তারপর তিনি কিয়ামতের দিনে তাদের জানিয়ে দেবেন কি তারা করেছিল। নিঃসন্দেহ সব - কিছু সন্বন্ধে সর্বজ্ঞাতা।
ألم تر إلى الذين نهوا عن النجوى ثم يعودون لما نهوا عنه ويتناجون بالإثم والعدوان ومعصيت الرسول وإذا جاءوك حيوك بما لم يحيك به الله ويقولون في أنفسهم لولا يعذبنا الله بما نقول ۚ حسبهم جهنم يصلونها ۖ فبئس المصير
Yusuf Ali
Turnest thou not thy sight towards those who were forbidden secret counsels yet revert to that which they were forbidden (to do)? And they hold secret counsels among themselves for iniquity and hostility, and disobedience to the Messenger. And when they come to thee, they salute thee, not as Allah salutes thee, (but in crooked ways): And they say to themselves, "Why does not Allah punish us for our words?" Enough for them is Hell: In it will they burn, and evil is that destination!

তুমি কি তাদের প্রতি লক্ষ্য কর নি যাদের নিষেধ করা হয়েছিল গোপন পরামর্শ - সভা পাততে, তারপর তারা ফিরে গিয়েছিল তাতে যা করতে তাদের নিষেধ করা হয়েছিল? আর তারা সলা - পরামর্শ করছে পাপাচরণে ও শত্রুতায় ও রসূলের প্রতি বিরুদ্ধাচরণের জন্য, আর যখন তারা তোমার কাছে আসে তখন তারা তোমাকে সম্ভাষণ করে এমনভাবে যেভাবে তোমাকে সম্ভাষণ করেন না। আর তারা নিজেদের মধ্যে বলাবলি করে - - ''কেন আমাদের শাস্তি দেন না আমরা যা বলি সেজন্য?’’ তাদের জন্য জাহান্নামই যথেষ্ট - - তারা তাতেই প্রবেশ করবে, সুতরাং কত নিকৃষ্ট এই গন্তব্যস্থল!
يا أيها الذين آمنوا إذا تناجيتم فلا تتناجوا بالإثم والعدوان ومعصيت الرسول وتناجوا بالبر والتقوى ۖ واتقوا الله الذي إليه تحشرون
Yusuf Ali
O ye who believe! When ye hold secret counsel, do it not for iniquity and hostility, and disobedience to the Prophet; but do it for righteousness and self - restraint; and fear Allah, to Whom ye shall be brought back.

ওহে যারা ঈমান এনেছ! যখন তোমরা কোনো গোপন পরামর্শ - সভা পাতো তখন তোমরা পরামর্শ করো না পাপাচরণ ও শত্রুতা ও রসূলের প্রতি অবাধ্যতার জন্য, বরং তোমরা পরামর্শ করো সৎকর্মের ও ধর্মভীরুতার জন্যে, আর কে ভয় - ভক্তি করো যাঁর কাছে তোমাদের একত্রিত করা হবে।
إنما النجوى من الشيطان ليحزن الذين آمنوا وليس بضارهم شيئا إلا بإذن الله ۚ وعلى الله فليتوكل المؤمنون

Secret counsels are only (inspired) by the Evil One, in order that he may cause grief to the Believers; but he cannot harm them in the least, except as Allah permits; and on Allah let the Believers put their trust.
জহুরুল হক
নিঃসন্দেহ সলা - পরামর্শ কেবল শয়তানের তরফ থেকে হয়ে থাকে, যেন সে যন্ত্রণা দিতে পারে তাদের যারা ঈমান এনেছে, বস্তুত তাদের কোনো অনিষ্ট হতে পারে না র অনুমতি ব্যতীত। কাজেই র উপরেই তবে নির্ভর করুক বিশ্বাসিগণ।
يا أيها الذين آمنوا إذا قيل لكم تفسحوا في المجالس فافسحوا يفسح الله لكم ۖ وإذا قيل انشزوا فانشزوا يرفع الله الذين آمنوا منكم والذين أوتوا العلم درجات ۚ والله بما تعملون خبير
Yusuf Ali
O ye who believe! When ye are told to make room in the assemblies, (spread out and) make room: (ample) room will Allah provide for you. And when ye are told to rise up, rise up Allah will rise up, to (suitable) ranks (and degrees), those of you who believe and who have been granted (mystic) Knowledge. And Allah is well - acquainted with all ye do.
জহুরুল হক
ওহে যারা ঈমান এনেছ! যখন তোমাদের বলা হয় মজলিস - গুলোয় জায়গা করে দাও, তখন জায়গা করে দিয়ো, তোমাদের জন্য জায়গা করে দেবেন। আর যখন বলা হয় উঠে দাঁড়াও, তখন উঠে দাঁড়িয়ো, তোমাদের মধ্যের যারা ঈমান এনেছে ও যাদের জ্ঞান দেওয়া হয়েছে তাদের স্তরে স্তরে মর্যাদায় উন্নত করবেন। আর তোমরা যা করছ সে - সন্বন্ধে চির - ওয়াকিফহাল।
يا أيها الذين آمنوا إذا ناجيتم الرسول فقدموا بين يدي نجواكم صدقة ۚ ذلك خير لكم وأطهر ۚ فإن لم تجدوا فإن الله غفور رحيم
Yusuf Ali
O ye who believe! When ye consult the Messenger in private, spend something in charity before your private consultation. That will be best for you, and most conducive to purity (of conduct). But if ye find not (the wherewithal), Allah is Oft - Forgiving, Most Merciful.
জহুরুল হক
ওহে যারা ঈমান এনেছ! তোমরা যখন রসূলের সঙ্গে ব্যক্তিগত পরামর্শ কর তখন তোমাদের পরামর্শের আগে দান - খয়রাত আগবাড়াবে, এইটি তোমাদের জন্য শ্রেয় ও পবিত্রতর। কিন্ত যদি তোমরা না পাও তবে নিঃসন্দেহ পরিত্রাণকারী, অফুরন্ত ফলদাতা।
أأشفقتم أن تقدموا بين يدي نجواكم صدقات ۚ فإذ لم تفعلوا وتاب الله عليكم فأقيموا الصلاة وآتوا الزكاة وأطيعوا الله ورسوله ۚ والله خبير بما تعملون
Yusuf Ali
Is it that ye are afraid of spending sums in charity before your private consultation (with him)? If, then, ye do not so, and Allah forgives you, then (at least) establish regular prayer; practise regular charity; and obey Allah and His Messenger. And Allah is well - acquainted with all that ye do.
জহুরুল হক
কী! তোমরা কি তোমাদের ব্যক্তিগত পরামর্শের আগে দান - খয়রাত আগবাড়াতে ভয় করছ? সুতরাং যখন তোমরা কর না, আর তোমাদের প্রতি ফেরেন, তখন কায়েম করো ও যাকাত আদায় করো, আর ও তাঁর রসূলের আজ্ঞাপালন করো। আর তোমরা যা করছ সে - সন্বন্ধে চির - ওয়াকিফহাল।
۞ ألم تر إلى الذين تولوا قوما غضب الله عليهم ما هم منكم ولا منهم ويحلفون على الكذب وهم يعلمون

Turnest thou not thy attention to those who turn (in friendship) to such as have the Wrath of Allah upon them? They are neither of you nor of them, and they swear to falsehood knowingly.
জহুরুল হক
তুমি কি তাদের প্রতি লক্ষ্য কর নি যারা এমন এক জাতির সহিত বন্ধুত্ব পাতে যাদের উপরে রুষ্ট হয়েছেন? তারা তোমাদের দলভুক্ত নয় আর তাদেরও অন্তর্ভুক্ত নয়। আর তারা জেনে - শুনেই মিথ্যা হলফ করে।
اتخذوا أيمانهم جنة فصدوا عن سبيل الله فلهم عذاب مهين
Yusuf Ali
They have made their oaths a screen (for their misdeeds): thus they obstruct (men) from the Path of Allah: therefore shall they have a humiliating Penalty.

তারা তাদের শপথগুলোকে আবরণ হিসেবে গ্রহণ করেছে, ফলে তারা র পথ থেকে ফিরিয়ে রাখে, সুতরাং তাদের জন্য রয়েছে লাঞ্ছনাদায়ক শাস্তি।
يوم يبعثهم الله جميعا فيحلفون له كما يحلفون لكم ۖ ويحسبون أنهم على شيء ۚ ألا إنهم هم الكاذبون
Yusuf Ali
One day will Allah raise them all up (for Judgment): then will they swear to Him as they swear to you: And they think that they have something (to stand upon). No, indeed! they are but liars!

সেইদিন তাদের সবাইকে পুনরুত্থিত করবেন, তখন তারা তাঁর কাছে হলফ করবে যেমন তারা তোমাদের কাছে হলফ করছে, আর তারা হিসেব করছে যে তারা নিশ্চয় একটা কিছুতে রয়েছে। তারাই কি স্বয়ং মিথ্যাবাদী নয়?
استحوذ عليهم الشيطان فأنساهم ذكر الله ۚ أولئك حزب الشيطان ۚ ألا إن حزب الشيطان هم الخاسرون
Yusuf Ali
The Evil One has got the better of them: so he has made them lose the remembrance of Allah. They are the Party of the Evil One. Truly, it is the Party of the Evil One that will perish!

শয়তান তাদের উপরে কাবু করে ফেলেছে, সেজন্য সে তাদের কে স্মরণ করা ভুলিয়ে দিয়েছে। এরাই হচ্ছে শয়তানের দল। এটি কি নয় যে শয়তানের সাঙ্গোপাঙ্গরা নিজেরাই তো ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত দল?
لا تجد قوما يؤمنون بالله واليوم الآخر يوادون من حاد الله ورسوله ولو كانوا آباءهم أو أبناءهم أو إخوانهم أو عشيرتهم ۚ أولئك كتب في قلوبهم الإيمان وأيدهم بروح منه ۖ ويدخلهم جنات تجري من تحتها الأنهار خالدين فيها ۚ رضي الله عنهم ورضوا عنه ۚ أولئك حزب الله ۚ ألا إن حزب الله هم المفلحون
Yusuf Ali
Thou wilt not find any people who believe in Allah and the Last Day, loving those who resist Allah and His Messenger, even though they were their fathers or their sons, or their brothers, or their kindred. For such He has written Faith in their hearts, and strengthened them with a spirit from Himself. And He will admit them to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow, to dwell therein (for ever). Allah will be well pleased with them, and they with Him. They are the Party of Allah. Truly it is the Party of Allah that will achieve Felicity.

তুমি তে ও পরকালে বিশ্বাস করে এমন কোনো জাতি পাবে না যারা বন্ধুত্ব পাতছে তাদের সঙ্গে যারা ও তাঁর রসূলের বিরুদ্ধাচরণ করছে। হোক না কেন তারা তাদের পিতা - পিতামহ অথবা তাদের সন্তানসন্ততি অথবা তাদের ভাই - বিরাদর অথবা তাদের আত্মীয় - স্বজন। এরাই - - এদের অন্তরে তিনি ধর্মবিশ্বাস লিখে দিয়েছেন এবং তাদের বলবৃদ্ধি করেছেন তাঁর কাছ থেকে প্রেরণা দিয়ে। আর তিনি তাদের প্রবেশ করাবেন জান্নাতে যাদের নিচে দিয়ে বয়ে চলেছে ঝরনারাজি, তাতে তারা থাকবে চিরকাল। তাদের উপরে প্রসন্ন থাকবেন, আর তারাও তাঁর প্রতি প্রসন্ন রইবে। এরাই হচ্ছে র দলের। এটি কি নয় যে র দলীয়রাই তো খোদ সাফল্যপ্রাপ্ত?
