In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another
Arabic, with marks
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ وَالْمُرْسَلَاتِ عُرْفًا
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
শপথ কল্যাণস্বরূপ প্রেরিত বায়ুর,
Saheeh International
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts

وَٱلْمُرْسَلَٰتِ عُرْفًا
Pickthall
By the raging hurricanes,
Arabic, with marks
فَالْعَاصِفَاتِ عَصْفًا
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
আর প্রলয়ঙ্করী ঝটিকার,
Saheeh International
And the winds that blow violently

فَٱلْعَٰصِفَٰتِ عَصْفًا
Pickthall
By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive;

وَالنَّاشِرَاتِ نَشْرًا

শপথ সঞ্চালনকারী বায়ুর,
Saheeh International
And [by] the winds that spread [clouds]

وَٱلنَّٰشِرَٰتِ نَشْرًا
Pickthall
By those who winnow with a winnowing,

فَالْفَارِقَاتِ فَرْقًا
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
আর মেঘপুঞ্জ বিচ্ছিন্নকারী বায়ুর,

And those [angels] who bring criterion

فَٱلْفَٰرِقَٰتِ فَرْقًا
Pickthall
By those who bring down the Reminder,

فَالْمُلْقِيَاتِ ذِكْرًا
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
এবং শপথ তাহাদের যাহারা মানুষের অন্তরে পৌঁছাইয়া দেয় উপদেশ -
Saheeh International
And those [angels] who deliver a message

فَٱلْمُلْقِيَٰتِ ذِكْرًا

To excuse or to warn,

عُذْرًا أَوْ نُذْرًا
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
ওযর - আপত্তি রহিতকরণ ও সতর্ক করার জন্য।

As justification or warning,

Pickthall
Surely that which ye are promised will befall.

إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَاقِعٌ

নিশ্চয়ই তোমাদেরকে যে প্রতিশ্রুতি দেওয়া হইয়াছে তাহা অবশ্যম্ভাবী।
Saheeh International
Indeed, what you are promised is to occur.

So when the stars are put out,

فَإِذَا النُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ

যখন নক্ষত্ররাজির আলো নির্বাপিত হইবে,

So when the stars are obliterated

فَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ

And when the sky is riven asunder,

وَإِذَا السَّمَاءُ فُرِجَتْ

যখন আকাশ বিদীর্ণ হইবে

And when the heaven is opened

وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ فُرِجَتْ

And when the mountains are blown away,

وَإِذَا الْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ

এবং যখন পর্বতমালা উন্মুলিত ও বিক্ষিপ্ত হইবে

And when the mountains are blown away

وَإِذَا ٱلْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ

And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed -

وَإِذَا الرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتْ

এবং রাসূলগণকে নিরূপিত সময়ে উপস্থিত করা হইবে,

And when the messengers' time has come...

For what day is the time appointed ?

এই সমুদয় স্থগিত রাখা হইয়াছে কোন্ দিবসের জন্য?

For the Day of Decision.

For the Day of Judgement.

Pickthall
And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! -

وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ

বিচার দিবস সম্বন্ধে তুমি কী জান?

And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement?

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ

Woe unto the repudiators on that day!

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

সেই দিন দুর্ভোগ অস্বীকারকারীদের জন্য।
Saheeh International
Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

Destroyed We not the former folk,

أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ الْأَوَّلِينَ

আমি কি পূর্ববর্তীদেরকে ধ্বংস করি নাই?

Did We not destroy the former peoples?

أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

Then caused the latter folk to follow after ?

ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ الْآخِرِينَ

অতঃপর আমি পরবর্তীদেরকে উহাদের অনুগামী করিব।

Then We will follow them with the later ones.

Thus deal We ever with the guilty.

অপরাধীদের প্রতি আমি এইরূপই করিয়া থাকি।

Thus do We deal with the criminals.

সেই দিন দুর্ভোগ অস্বীকারকারীদের জন্য।

Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

Did We not create you from a base fluid

أَلَمْ نَخْلُقكُّم مِّن مَّاءٍ مَّهِينٍ

আমি কি তোমাদেরকে তুচ্ছ পানি হইতে সৃষ্টি করি নাই?
Saheeh International
Did We not create you from a liquid disdained?

أَلَمْ نَخْلُقكُّم مِّن مَّآءٍ مَّهِينٍ

Which We laid up in a safe abode

فَجَعَلْنَاهُ فِي قَرَارٍ مَّكِينٍ

অতঃপর আমি উহা রাখিয়াছি নিরাপদ আধারে,
Saheeh International
And We placed it in a firm lodging

فَجَعَلْنَٰهُ فِى قَرَارٍ مَّكِينٍ

For a known term ?

إِلَىٰ قَدَرٍ مَّعْلُومٍ

এক নির্দিষ্ট কাল পর্যন্ত,

For a known extent.

إِلَىٰ قَدَرٍ مَّعْلُومٍ
Pickthall
Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging!

فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ الْقَادِرُونَ

অতঃপর আমি ইহাকে গঠন করিয়াছি পরিমিতভাবে, আমি কত নিপুণ স্রষ্টা!

And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine.

فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ ٱلْقَٰدِرُونَ

Woe unto the repudiators on that day!

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

সেই দিন দুর্ভোগ অস্বীকারকারীদের জন্য।

Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

Have We not made the earth a receptacle

أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا

আমি কি ভূমিকে সৃষ্টি করি নাই ধারণকারীরূপে,

Have We not made the earth a container

Both for the living and the dead,

أَحْيَاءً وَأَمْوَاتًا

জীবিত ও মৃতের জন্য?

Of the living and the dead?

أَحْيَآءً وَأَمْوَٰتًا
Pickthall
And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein ?

وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ شَامِخَاتٍ وَأَسْقَيْنَاكُم مَّاءً فُرَاتًا
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
আমি উহাতে স্থাপন করিয়াছি সুদৃঢ় উচ্চ পর্বতমালা এবং তোমাদেরকে দিয়াছি সুপেয় পানি।
Saheeh International
And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water.

وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ شَٰمِخَٰتٍ وَأَسْقَيْنَٰكُم مَّآءً فُرَاتًا

Woe unto the repudiators on that day!

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
সেই দিন দুর্ভোগ অস্বীকারকারীদের জন্য।

Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
Pickthall
(It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny;

انطَلِقُوا إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
তোমরা যাহাকে অস্বীকার করিতে, চল তাহারই দিকে।
Saheeh International
[They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny.

ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ
Pickthall
Depart unto the shadow falling threefold,

انطَلِقُوا إِلَىٰ ظِلٍّ ذِي ثَلَاثِ شُعَبٍ
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
চল তিন শাখাবিশিষ্ট ছায়ার দিকে,
Saheeh International
Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns

ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ ظِلٍّ ذِى ثَلَٰثِ شُعَبٍ
Pickthall
(Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame.

لَّا ظَلِيلٍ وَلَا يُغْنِي مِنَ اللَّهَبِ
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
যে ছায়া শীতল নয় এবং যাহা রক্ষা করে না অগ্নিশিখা হইতে,
Saheeh International
[But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame."

لَّا ظَلِيلٍ وَلَا يُغْنِى مِنَ ٱللَّهَبِ
Pickthall
Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles,

إِنَّهَا تَرْمِي بِشَرَرٍ كَالْقَصْرِ
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
ইহা উৎক্ষেপ করিবে বৃহৎ স্ফুলিংগ অট্টালিকাতুল্য,
Saheeh International
Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress,

إِنَّهَا تَرْمِى بِشَرَرٍ كَٱلْقَصْرِ
Pickthall
(Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue.

كَأَنَّهُ جِمَالَتٌ صُفْرٌ
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
উহা পীতবর্ণ উষ্ট্রশ্রেণী সদৃশ,
Saheeh International
As if they were yellowish [black] camels.

كَأَنَّهُۥ جِمَٰلَتٌ صُفْرٌ
Pickthall
Woe unto the repudiators on that day!

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

সেই দিন দুর্ভোগ অস্বীকারকারীদের জন্য।

Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

This is a day wherein they speak not,

هَٰذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
ইহা এমন একদিন যেদিন কাহারও বাকস্ফূর্তি হইবে না,

This is a Day they will not speak,

هَٰذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ
Pickthall
Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses.

وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
এবং তাহাদেরকে অনুমতি দেওয়া হইবে না ওযর পেশ করার।

Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse.

Woe unto the repudiators on that day!

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

সেই দিন দুর্ভোগ অস্বীকারকারীদের জন্য।

Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together.

هَٰذَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ ۖ جَمَعْنَاكُمْ وَالْأَوَّلِينَ

‘ইহাই ফয়সালার দিন, আমি একত্র করিয়াছি তোমাদেরকে এবং পূর্ববর্তীদেরকে।’
Saheeh International
This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples.

هَٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ جَمَعْنَٰكُمْ وَٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

If now ye have any wit, outwit Me.

فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌ فَكِيدُونِ

তোমাদের কোন কৌশল থাকিলে তাহা প্রয়োগ কর আমার বিরুদ্ধে।
Saheeh International
So if you have a plan, then plan against Me.

فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌ فَكِيدُونِ

Woe unto the repudiators on that day!

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

সেই দিন দুর্ভোগ অস্বীকারকারীদের জন্য।

Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
Pickthall
Lo! those who kept their duty are amid shade and fountains,

إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي ظِلَالٍ وَعُيُونٍ
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
অবশ্যই মুত্তাকীরা থাকিবে ছায়ায় ও প্রস্রবণবহুল স্থানে,
Saheeh International
Indeed, the righteous will be among shades and springs

إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى ظِلَٰلٍ وَعُيُونٍ
Pickthall
And fruits such as they desire.

وَفَوَاكِهَ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
তাহাদের বাঞ্ছিত ফলমূলের প্রাচুর্যের মধ্যে।
Saheeh International
And fruits from whatever they desire,

وَفَوَٰكِهَ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ
Pickthall
(Unto them it is said:) Eat, drink and welcome, O ye blessed, in return for what ye did.

كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا هَنِيئًا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
‘তোমাদের কর্মের পুরস্কারস্বরূপ তোমরা তৃপ্তির সঙ্গে পানাহার কর।’
Saheeh International
[Being told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you used to do."

كُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ هَنِيٓـًٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
Pickthall
Thus do We reward the good.

إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
এইভাবে আমি সৎকর্মপরায়ণদেরকে পুরস্কৃত করিয়া থাকি।
Saheeh International
Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.

إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
Pickthall
Woe unto the repudiators on that day!
Arabic, with marks
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
সেই দিন দুর্ভোগ অস্বীকারকারীদের জন্য।
Saheeh International
Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
Pickthall
Eat and take your ease (on earth) a little. Lo! ye are guilty.

كُلُوا وَتَمَتَّعُوا قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجْرِمُونَ
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
তোমরা আহার কর এবং ভোগ করিয়া লও অল্প কিছু দিন, তোমরা তো অপরাধী।
Saheeh International
[O disbelievers], eat and enjoy yourselves a little; indeed, you are criminals.

Woe unto the repudiators on that day!

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
সেই দিন দুর্ভোগ অস্বীকারকারীদের জন্য।

Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

When it is said unto them: Bow down, they bow not down!
Arabic, with marks
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ارْكَعُوا لَا يَرْكَعُونَ
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
যখন উহাদেরকে বলা হয়, ‘র প্রতি নত হও’ উহারা নত হয় না।
Saheeh International
And when it is said to them, "Bow [in prayer]," they do not bow.

Woe unto the repudiators on that day!

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

সেই দিন দুর্ভোগ অস্বীকারকারীদের জন্য।

Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

In what statement, after this, will they believe ?

فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثٍ بَعْدَهُ يُؤْمِنُونَ

সুতরাং উহারা কুরআনের পরিবর্তে আর কোন্ কথায় বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করিবে?

Then in what statement after the Qur'an will they believe?

فَبِأَىِّ حَدِيثٍۭ بَعْدَهُۥ يُؤْمِنُونَ
