In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. By the heaven, holding mansions of the stars,

আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম

শপথ বুরূজ (বিশাল বিশাল গ্রহ - নক্ষত্র) ওয়ালা আকাশের।

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ وَالسَّمَاءِ ذَاتِ الْبُرُوجِ

সমকালীন বাংলা

আল্লাহর নামে শুরু করছি, পরম করুণাময় পরম দয়ালু; শপথ নক্ষত্রপুঞ্জ সম্বলিত আকাশের,

And by the Promised Day.

আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম

শপথ ওয়াদাকৃত দিনটির।

وَالْيَوْمِ الْمَوْعُودِ

সমকালীন বাংলা

এবং প্রতিশ্রুত দিনের,

And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony,

শপথ দ্রষ্টা এবং দৃশ্যের।

وَشَاهِدٍ وَمَشْهُودٍ

এবং সাক্ষ্যদাতা ও যার সাক্ষ্য দেওয়া হয় তার,

(Self - )destroyed were the owners of the ditch

আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম

ধ্বংস হয়েছে সেই গর্তওয়ালা লোকেরা, (যারা গর্ত খনন করেছিল এবং সে গর্তে)

قُتِلَ أَصْحَابُ الْأُخْدُودِ

সমকালীন বাংলা

ধ্বংস করা হয়েছিল গর্তের অধিকারীদের,

Of the fuel - fed fire,

আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম

জ্বালানি পূর্ণ করে জ্বালিয়ে দিয়েছিল আগুন।

النَّارِ ذَاتِ الْوَقُودِ

সমকালীন বাংলা

জ্বালানি পূর্ণ অগ্নিকুণ্ড,

When they sat by it,

আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম

তখন গর্তের কিনারেই বসেছিল তারা।

إِذْ هُمْ عَلَيْهَا قُعُودٌ

সমকালীন বাংলা

যখন তারা তার চারপাশে বসেছিল,

And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers.

আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম

এবং তারা মুমিনদের সাথে যা করছিল তা অবলোকন করছিল।

وَهُمْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَفْعَلُونَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ شُهُودٌ

সমকালীন বাংলা

এবং তারা মুমিনদের প্রতি যা করছিল তার সাক্ষী ছিল,

They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise,

আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম

তারা তাদের (মুমিনদের) থেকে প্রতিশোধ নিয়েছিল শুধুমাত্র এই অপরাধে যে, তারা অসীম ক্ষমতাবান সপ্রশংসিত আল্লাহর প্রতি ঈমান এনেছিল,

وَمَا نَقَمُوا مِنْهُمْ إِلَّا أَن يُؤْمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ الْعَزِيزِ الْحَمِيدِ

সমকালীন বাংলা

এবং তারা তাদের ওপর প্রতিশোধ নিয়েছিল কেবল এজন্য যে তারা বিশ্বাস করেছিল আল্লাহর প্রতি, যিনি পরাক্রমশালী, প্রশংসিত,

Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness.

আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম

যিনি মহাকাশ এবং এই পৃথিবীর কর্তৃত্বের মালিক। আর সব কিছুর সাক্ষী।

الَّذِي لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ وَاللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيدٌ

সমকালীন বাংলা

যাঁর জন্য আকাশমণ্ডলী ও পৃথিবীর রাজত্ব; এবং সবকিছুর ওপর সাক্ষী,

Pickthall

Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning.

আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম

যারা পুরুষ ও নারীদের উপর যুলুম নির্যাতন চালিয়েছে, তারপর অনুতপ্ত হয়ে সেকাজ থেকে ফিরে আসেনি (আল্লাহর দিকে), তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে জাহান্নামের আযাব, আর জ্বালিয়ে - পুড়িয়ে যন্ত্রণা দেয়ার শাস্তি।

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ فَتَنُوا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَتُوبُوا فَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ الْحَرِيقِ

সমকালীন বাংলা

নিশ্চয়ই যারা পুরুষ ও নারীদের নির্যাতন করেছে, অতঃপর তাওবা করেনি, তাদের জন্য রয়েছে জাহান্নামের শাস্তি এবং রয়েছে দহনশাস্তি,

Pickthall

Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success.

আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম

নিশ্চয়ই যারা ঈমান এনেছে এবং আমলে সালেহ্ করেছে, তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে জান্নাত, সেসব বাগিচার নিচে দিয়ে বহমান থাকবে নদ - নদী - নহর। এটাই (মানব জীবনের) মহাসাফল্য।

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتٌ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْكَبِيرُ

সমকালীন বাংলা

নিশ্চয়ই যারা ঈমান এনেছে এবং সৎকর্ম করেছে, তাদের জন্য রয়েছে জান্নাত, যার নিচে নদীমালা প্রবাহিত; এটাই মহাসাফল্য,

Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern.

আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম

নিশ্চয়ই তোমার প্রভুর গ্রেফতারি বড়ই শক্ত এবং কঠিন।

إِنَّ بَطْشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِيدٌ

সমকালীন বাংলা

নিশ্চয়ই তোমার প্রতিপালকের পাকড়াও অত্যন্ত কঠোর,

Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth,

আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম

নিশ্চয়ই তিনি সেই মহান সত্তা, যিনি সৃষ্টি করেন এবং পুনরায় (সৃষ্টি) করবেন।

إِنَّهُ هُوَ يُبْدِئُ وَيُعِيدُ

সমকালীন বাংলা

নিশ্চয়ই তিনিই প্রথম সৃষ্টি করেন এবং পুনরায় সৃষ্টি করবেন,

And He is the Forgiving, the Loving,

আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম

এবং তিনি পরম ক্ষমাশীল এবং প্রেম - ভালোবাসা ও মমতার সাগর,

وَهُوَ الْغَفُورُ الْوَدُودُ

সমকালীন বাংলা

এবং তিনি ক্ষমাশীল, স্নেহময়,

Lord of the Throne of Glory,

আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম

মহিমান্বিত আরশের অধিপতি।

ذُو الْعَرْشِ الْمَجِيدُ

সমকালীন বাংলা

আরশের অধিকারী, মহিমান্বিত,

Doer of what He will.

তিনি (যখন) যা চান তাই করেন।

فَعَّالٌ لِّمَا يُرِيدُ

সমকালীন বাংলা

তিনি যা ইচ্ছা করেন, তা করেন,

Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts

আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম

তোমার কাছে কি খবর পৌঁছেছে সৈন্যবাহিনীর,

هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْجُنُودِ

সমকালীন বাংলা

তোমার কাছে কি বাহিনীগুলোর সংবাদ পৌঁছেছে?

Of Pharaoh and (the tribe of) Thamud ?

ফেরাউন এবং সামুদের?

فِرْعَوْنَ وَثَمُودَ

ফেরাউন ও সামূদের?

Nay, but those who disbelieve live in denial

আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম

কিন্তু যারা কুফরির পথ ধরেছে, তারা অস্বীকার করেই চলেছে,

بَلِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فِي تَكْذِيبٍ

সমকালীন বাংলা

তবুও অবিশ্বাসীরা মিথ্যারোপে লিপ্ত,

And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them.

আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম

আর পেছন থেকে (তাদের অজ্ঞাতেই) ঘেরাও করে রেখেছেন তাদের।

وَاللَّهُ مِن وَرَائِهِم مُّحِيطٌ

সমকালীন বাংলা

আর তাদেরকে পরিবেষ্টন করে আছেন,

Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an.

আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম

(তোমাদের অস্বীকার করায় কিছুই যায় আসেনা) কারণ, এ এক মহিমা মন্ডিত কুরআন,

بَلْ هُوَ قُرْآنٌ مَّجِيدٌ

সমকালীন বাংলা

বরং এটি মহিমান্বিত কুরআন,
