Chapter 50, 45 verses
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. Qaf. By the Glorious Qur'an,
কা - ফ্, শপথ সম্মানিত কুরআনের
Qaf. By the honored Qur'an...
قٓ وَٱلْقُرْءَانِ ٱلْمَجِيدِ
Nay, but they marvel that a warner of their own hath come unto them; and the disbelievers say: This is a strange thing:
বরং তাহারা বিস্ময় বোধ করে যে, উহাদের মধ্যে একজন সতর্ককারী আবির্ভূত হইয়াছে, আর কাফিররা বলে, ‘ইহা তো এক আশ্চর্য ব্যাপার !
But they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say, "This is an amazing thing.
بَلْ عَجِبُوٓا۟ أَن جَآءَهُم مُّنذِرٌ مِّنْهُمْ فَقَالَ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ هَٰذَا شَىْءٌ عَجِيبٌ
When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be brought back again) ? That would be a far return!
‘আমাদের মৃত্যু হইলে এবং আমরা মৃত্তিকায় পরিণত হইলে আমরা কি পুনরুত্থিত হইব? সুদূরপরাহত সেই প্রত্যাবর্তন।’
When we have died and have become dust, [we will return to life]? That is a distant return."
أَءِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا ذَٰلِكَ رَجْعٌۢ بَعِيدٌ
We know that which the earth taketh of them, and with Us is a recording Book.
আমি তো জানি মৃত্তিকা ক্ষয় করে উহাদের কতটুকু এবং আমার নিকট আছে রক্ষিত কিতাব।
We know what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a retaining record.
قَدْ عَلِمْنَا مَا تَنقُصُ ٱلْأَرْضُ مِنْهُمْ وَعِندَنَا كِتَٰبٌ حَفِيظٌۢ
Nay, but they have denied the truth when it came unto them, therefor they are now in troubled case.
বস্তুত উহাদের নিকট সত্য আসিবার পর উহারা তাহা প্রত্যাখ্যান করিয়াছে। ফলে, উহারা সংশয়ে দোদুল্যমান।
But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused condition.
بَلْ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِٱلْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَهُمْ فَهُمْ فِىٓ أَمْرٍ مَّرِيجٍ
Have they not then observed the sky above them, how We have constructed it and beautified it, and how there are no rifts therein ?
উহারা কি উহাদের ঊর্ধ্বস্থিত আকাশের দিকে তাকাইয়া দেখে না, আমি কিভাবে উহা নির্মাণ করিয়াছি ও উহাকে সুশোভিত করিয়াছি এবং উহাতে কোন ফাটলও নাই?
Have they not looked at the heaven above them - how We structured it and adorned it and [how] it has no rifts?
أَفَلَمْ يَنظُرُوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَوْقَهُمْ كَيْفَ بَنَيْنَٰهَا وَزَيَّنَّٰهَا وَمَا لَهَا مِن فُرُوجٍ
And the earth have We spread out, and have flung firm hills therein, and have caused of every lovely kind to grow thereon,
আমি বিস্তৃত করিয়াছি ভূমিকে ও তাহাতে স্থাপন করিয়াছি পর্বতমালা এবং উহাতে উদ্গত করিয়াছি নয়নপ্রীতিকর সর্বপ্রকার উদ্ভিদ,
And the earth - We spread it out and cast therein firmly set mountains and made grow therein [something] of every beautiful kind,
وَٱلْأَرْضَ مَدَدْنَٰهَا وَأَلْقَيْنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ وَأَنۢبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍۭ بَهِيجٍ
A vision and a reminder for every penitent slave.
র অনুরাগী প্রত্যেক ব্যাক্তির জন্য জ্ঞান ও উপদেশস্বরূপ।
Giving insight and a reminder for every servant who turns [to Allah].
تَبْصِرَةً وَذِكْرَىٰ لِكُلِّ عَبْدٍ مُّنِيبٍ
And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops,
আকাশ হইতে আমি বর্ষণ করি কল্যাণকর বৃষ্টি এবং তদ্দ্বারা আমি সৃষ্টি করি উদ্যান ও পরিপক্ব শস্যরাজি,
And We have sent down blessed rain from the sky and made grow thereby gardens and grain from the harvest
وَنَزَّلْنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً مُّبَٰرَكًا فَأَنۢبَتْنَا بِهِۦ جَنَّٰتٍ وَحَبَّ ٱلْحَصِيدِ
And lofty date - palms with ranged clusters,
ও সম্মুন্নত খর্জুর বৃক্ষ যাহাতে আছে গুচ্ছ গুচ্ছ খেজুর -
And lofty palm trees having fruit arranged in layers -
وَٱلنَّخْلَ بَاسِقَٰتٍ لَّهَا طَلْعٌ نَّضِيدٌ
Provision (made) for men; and therewith We quicken a dead land. Even so will be the resurrection of the dead.
আমার বান্দাদের জীবিকাস্বরূপ। বৃষ্টি দ্বারা আমি সঞ্জীবিত করি মৃত ভূমিকে ; এইভাবে উত্থান ঘটিবে।
As provision for the servants, and We have given life thereby to a dead land. Thus is the resurrection.
رِّزْقًا لِّلْعِبَادِ وَأَحْيَيْنَا بِهِۦ بَلْدَةً مَّيْتًا كَذَٰلِكَ ٱلْخُرُوجُ
The folk of Noah denied (the truth) before them, and (so did) the dwellers at Ar - Rass and (the tribe of) Thamud,
ইহাদের পূর্বেও সত্য প্রত্যাখ্যান করিয়াছিল নূহের সম্প্রদায়, রাস্ ও সামূদ সম্প্রদায়,
The people of Noah denied before them, and the companions of the well and Thamud
كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلرَّسِّ وَثَمُودُ
And (the tribe of) A'ad, and Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot,
‘আদ, ফির‘আওন ও লূত সম্প্রদায়
And 'Aad and Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot
وَعَادٌ وَفِرْعَوْنُ وَإِخْوَٰنُ لُوطٍ
And the dwellers in the wood, and the folk of Tubb'a: every one denied their messengers, therefor My threat took effect.
এবং আয়কার অধিবাসী ও তুব্বা সম্প্রদায় ; উহারা সকলেই রাসূলগণকে মিথ্যাবাদী বলিয়াছিল, ফলে উহাদের উপর আমার শাস্তি আপতিত হইয়াছে।
And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba'. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled.
وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْأَيْكَةِ وَقَوْمُ تُبَّعٍ كُلٌّ كَذَّبَ ٱلرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ وَعِيدِ
Were We then worn out by the first creation ? Yet they are in doubt about a new creation.
আমি কি প্রথমবার সৃষ্টি করিয়াই ক্লান্ত হইয়া পড়িয়াছি ! বস্তুত পুনঃ সৃষ্টির বিষয়ে উহারা সন্দেহে পতিত।
Did We fail in the first creation? But they are in confusion over a new creation.
أَفَعَيِينَا بِٱلْخَلْقِ ٱلْأَوَّلِ بَلْ هُمْ فِى لَبْسٍ مِّنْ خَلْقٍ جَدِيدٍ
We verily created man and We know what his soul whispereth to him, and We are nearer to him than his jugular vein.
আমিই মানুষকে সৃষ্টি করিয়াছি এবং তাহার প্রবৃত্তি তাহাকে যে কুমন্ত্রণা দেয় তাহা আমি জানি। আমি তাহার গ্রীবাস্থিত ধমনী অপেক্ষাও নিকটতর।
And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein
وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ وَنَعْلَمُ مَا تُوَسْوِسُ بِهِۦ نَفْسُهُۥ وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ حَبْلِ ٱلْوَرِيدِ
When the two Receivers receive (him), seated on the right hand and on the left,
স্মরণ রাখিও, ‘দুই গ্রহণকারী’ ফিরিশতা তাহার দক্ষিণে ও বামে বসিয়া তাহার কর্ম লিপিবদ্ধ করে ;
When the two receivers receive, seated on the right and on the left.
إِذْ يَتَلَقَّى ٱلْمُتَلَقِّيَانِ عَنِ ٱلْيَمِينِ وَعَنِ ٱلشِّمَالِ قَعِيدٌ
He uttereth no word but there is with him an observer ready.
মানুষ যে কথাই উচ্চারণ করে তাহার জন্য তৎপর প্রহরী তাহার নিকটেই রহিয়াছে।
Man does not utter any word except that with him is an observer prepared [to record].
مَّا يَلْفِظُ مِن قَوْلٍ إِلَّا لَدَيْهِ رَقِيبٌ عَتِيدٌ
And the agony of death cometh in truth. (And it is said unto him): This is that which thou wast wont to shun.
মৃত্যুযন্ত্রণা সত্যই আসিবে ; ইহা হইতেই তোমরা অব্যাহতি চাহিয়া আসিয়াছ।
And the intoxication of death will bring the truth; that is what you were trying to avoid.
وَجَآءَتْ سَكْرَةُ ٱلْمَوْتِ بِٱلْحَقِّ ذَٰلِكَ مَا كُنتَ مِنْهُ تَحِيدُ
And the trumpet is blown. This is the threatened Day.
আর শিঙ্গায় ফুৎকার দেওয়া হইবে, উহাই শাস্তির দিন।
And the Horn will be blown. That is the Day of [carrying out] the threat.
وَنُفِخَ فِى ٱلصُّورِ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمُ ٱلْوَعِيدِ
And every soul cometh, along with it a driver and a witness.
সেদিন প্রত্যেক ব্যক্তি উপস্থিত হইবে, তাহার সঙ্গে থাকিবে চালক ও সাক্ষী।
And every soul will come, with it a driver and a witness.
وَجَآءَتْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّعَهَا سَآئِقٌ وَشَهِيدٌ
(And unto the evil - doer it is said): Thou wast in heedlessness of this. Now We have removed from thee thy covering, and piercing is thy sight this day.
তুমি এই দিবস সম্বন্ধে উদাসীন ছিলে, এখন আমি তোমার সম্মুখ হইতে পর্দা উন্মোচন করিয়াছি। অদ্য তোমার দৃষ্টি প্রখর।
[It will be said], "You were certainly in unmindfulness of this, and We have removed from you your cover, so your sight, this Day, is sharp."
لَّقَدْ كُنتَ فِى غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ هَٰذَا فَكَشَفْنَا عَنكَ غِطَآءَكَ فَبَصَرُكَ ٱلْيَوْمَ حَدِيدٌ
And (unto the evil - doer) his comrade saith: This is that which I have ready (as testimony).
তাহার সঙ্গী ফিরিশ্তা বলিবে, ‘এই তো আমার নিকট ‘আমলনামা প্রস্তুত।’
And his companion, [the angel], will say, "This [record] is what is with me, prepared."
وَقَالَ قَرِينُهُۥ هَٰذَا مَا لَدَىَّ عَتِيدٌ
(And it is said): Do ye twain hurl to hell each rebel ingrate,
আদেশ করা হইবে, তোমরা উভয়ে নিক্ষেপ কর জাহান্নামে প্রত্যেক উদ্ধত কাফিরকে -
[Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate ,
أَلْقِيَا فِى جَهَنَّمَ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ عَنِيدٍ
Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter,
কল্যাণকর কাজে প্রবল বাধাদানকারী, সীমালংঘনকারী ও সন্দেহ পোষণকারী।
Preventer of good, aggressor, and doubter,
مَّنَّاعٍ لِّلْخَيْرِ مُعْتَدٍ مُّرِيبٍ
Who setteth up another god along with Allah. Do ye twain hurl him to the dreadful doom.
যে ব্যাক্ত র সঙ্গে অন্য ইলাহ্ গ্রহণ করিত তাহাকে কঠিন শাস্তিতে নিক্ষেপ কর।
Who made [as equal] with Allah another deity; then throw him into the severe punishment."
ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَأَلْقِيَاهُ فِى ٱلْعَذَابِ ٱلشَّدِيدِ
His comrade saith: Our Lord! I did not cause him to rebel, but he was (himself) far gone in error.
তাহার সহচর শয়তান বলিবে, ‘হে আমাদের প্রতিপালক! আমি তাহাকে অবাধ্য করি নাই। বস্তুত সে - ই ছিল ঘোর বিভ্রান্ত।
His [devil] companion will say, "Our Lord, I did not make him transgress, but he [himself] was in extreme error."
قَالَ قَرِينُهُۥ رَبَّنَا مَآ أَطْغَيْتُهُۥ وَلَٰكِن كَانَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍۭ بَعِيدٍ
He saith: Contend not in My presence, when I had already proffered unto you the warning.
বলিবেন, ‘আমার সম্মুখে বাক - বিতণ্ডা করিও না; তোমাদেরকে আমি তো পূর্বেই সতর্ক করিয়াছি।
[Allah] will say, "Do not dispute before Me, while I had already presented to you the warning.
قَالَ لَا تَخْتَصِمُوا۟ لَدَىَّ وَقَدْ قَدَّمْتُ إِلَيْكُم بِٱلْوَعِيدِ
The sentence that cometh from Me cannot be changed, and I am in no wise a tyrant unto the slaves.
‘আমার কথার রদবদল হয় না এবং আমি আমার বান্দাদের প্রতি কোন অবিচার করি না।’
The word will not be changed with Me, and never will I be unjust to the servants."
مَا يُبَدَّلُ ٱلْقَوْلُ لَدَىَّ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ بِظَلَّٰمٍ لِّلْعَبِيدِ
On the day when We say unto hell: Art thou filled ? and it saith: Can there be more to come ?
সেই দিন আমি জাহান্নামকে জিজ্ঞাসা করিব, ‘তুমি কি পূর্ণ হইয়া গিয়াছ?’ জাহান্নাম বলিবে, ‘আরও আছে কি?’
On the Day We will say to Hell, "Have you been filled?" and it will say, "Are there some more,"
يَوْمَ نَقُولُ لِجَهَنَّمَ هَلِ ٱمْتَلَأْتِ وَتَقُولُ هَلْ مِن مَّزِيدٍ
And the Garden is brought nigh for those who kept from evil, no longer distant.
আর জান্নাতকে নিকটস্থ করা হইবে মুত্তাকীদের - কোন দূরত্ব থাকিবে না।
And Paradise will be brought near to the righteous, not far,
وَأُزْلِفَتِ ٱلْجَنَّةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ غَيْرَ بَعِيدٍ
(And it is said): This is that which ye were promised. (It is) for every penitent and heedful one,
ইহারই প্রতিশ্রুতি তোমাদেরকে দেওয়া হইয়াছিল - প্রত্যেক - অভিমুখী, হিফাযতকারীর জন্য -
[It will be said], "This is what you were promised - for every returner [to Allah] and keeper [of His covenant]
هَٰذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِكُلِّ أَوَّابٍ حَفِيظٍ
Who feareth the Beneficent in secret and cometh with a contrite heart.
যাহারা না দেখিয়া দয়াময় কে ভয় করে এবং বিনীত চিত্তে উপস্থিত হয় -
Who feared the Most Merciful unseen and came with a heart returning [in repentance].
مَّنْ خَشِىَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنَ بِٱلْغَيْبِ وَجَآءَ بِقَلْبٍ مُّنِيبٍ
Enter it in peace. This is the day of immortality.
তাহাদেরকে বলা হইবে, ‘শান্তির সঙ্গে তোমরা উহাতে প্রবেশ কর; উহা অনন্ত জীবনের দিন।’
Enter it in peace. This is the Day of Eternity."
ٱدْخُلُوهَا بِسَلَٰمٍ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمُ ٱلْخُلُودِ
There they have all that they desire, and there is more with Us.
এখানে তাহারা যাহা কামনা করিবে তাহাই পাইবে এবং আমার নিকট রহিয়াছে তাহারও অধিক।
They will have whatever they wish therein, and with Us is more.
لَهُم مَّا يَشَآءُونَ فِيهَا وَلَدَيْنَا مَزِيدٌ
And how many a generation We destroyed before them, who were mightier than these in prowess so that they overran the lands! Had they any place of refuge (when the judgment came) ?
আমি তাহাদের পূর্বে আরও কত মানবগোষ্ঠীকে ধ্বংস করিয়াছি যাহারা ছিল উহাদের অপেক্ষা শক্তিতে প্রবল, উহারা দেশে দেশে ঘুরিয়া বেড়াইত; উহাদের কোন পলায়নস্থল রহিল কি?
And how many a generation before them did We destroy who were greater than them in [striking] power and had explored throughout the lands. Is there any place of escape?
وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هُمْ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُم بَطْشًا فَنَقَّبُوا۟ فِى ٱلْبِلَٰدِ هَلْ مِن مَّحِيصٍ
Lo! therein verily is a reminder for him who hath a heart, or giveth ear with full intelligence.
নিশ্চয়ই ইহাতে উপদেশ রহিয়াছে তাহার জন্য যাহার আছে অন্তঃকরণ অথবা যে শ্রবণ করে নিবিষ্ট চিত্তে।
Indeed in that is a reminder for whoever has a heart or who listens while he is present [in mind].
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَذِكْرَىٰ لِمَن كَانَ لَهُۥ قَلْبٌ أَوْ أَلْقَى ٱلسَّمْعَ وَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ
And verily We created the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, in six Days, and naught of weariness touched Us.
আমি আকাশমণ্ডলী ও পৃথিবী এবং উহাদের অন্তর্বর্তী সমস্ত কিছু সৃষ্টি করিয়াছি ছয় দিনে; আমাকে কোন ক্লান্তি স্পর্শ করে নাই।
And We did certainly create the heavens and earth and what is between them in six days, and there touched Us no weariness.
وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِى سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ وَمَا مَسَّنَا مِن لُّغُوبٍ
Therefor (O Muhammad) bear with what they say, and hymn the praise of thy Lord before the rising and before the setting of the sun;
অতএব উহারা যাহা বলে তাহাতে তুমি ধৈর্য ধারণ কর এবং তোমার প্রতিপালকের সপ্রশংস পবিত্রতা ও মহিমা ঘোষণা কর সূর্যোদয়ের পূর্বে ও সূর্যাস্তের পূর্বে,
So be patient, [O Muhammad], over what they say and exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting,
فَٱصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ ٱلشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ ٱلْغُرُوبِ
And in the night - time hymn His praise, and after the (prescribed) prostrations.
তাঁহার পবিত্রতা ও মহিমা ঘোষণা কর রাত্রির একাংশে এবং সালাতের পরেও।
And [in part] of the night exalt Him and after prostration.
وَمِنَ ٱلَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْهُ وَأَدْبَٰرَ ٱلسُّجُودِ
And listen on the day when the crier crieth from a near place,
শোন, যেদিন এক ঘোষণাকারী নিকটবর্তী স্থান হইতে আহ্বান করিবে,
And listen on the Day when the Caller will call out from a place that is near -
وَٱسْتَمِعْ يَوْمَ يُنَادِ ٱلْمُنَادِ مِن مَّكَانٍ قَرِيبٍ
The day when they will hear the (Awful) Cry in truth. That is the day of coming forth (from the graves).
যেদিন মানুষ অবশ্যই শুনিতে পাইবে মহানাদ, সেই দিনই বাহির হইবার দিন।
The Day they will hear the blast [of the Horn] in truth. That is the Day of Emergence [from the graves].
يَوْمَ يَسْمَعُونَ ٱلصَّيْحَةَ بِٱلْحَقِّ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمُ ٱلْخُرُوجِ
Lo! We it is Who quicken and give death, and unto Us is the journeying.
আমিই জীবন দান করি, মৃত্যু ঘটাই এবং সকলের প্রত্যাবর্তন আমারই দিকে।
Indeed, it is We who give life and cause death, and to Us is the destination
إِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْىِۦ وَنُمِيتُ وَإِلَيْنَا ٱلْمَصِيرُ
On the day when the earth splitteth asunder from them, hastening forth (they come). That is a gathering easy for Us (to make).
যেদিন তাহাদের উপরস্থ যমীন বিদীর্ণ হইবে এবং মানুষ ত্রস্ত - ব্যস্ত হইয়া ছুটাছুটি করিবে, এই সমবেত সমাবেশকরণ আমার জন্য সহজ।
On the Day the earth breaks away from them [and they emerge] rapidly; that is a gathering easy for Us.
يَوْمَ تَشَقَّقُ ٱلْأَرْضُ عَنْهُمْ سِرَاعًا ذَٰلِكَ حَشْرٌ عَلَيْنَا يَسِيرٌ
We are Best Aware of what they say, and thou (O Muhammad) art in no wise a compeller over them. But warn by the Qur'an him who feareth My threat.
উহারা যাহা বলে তাহা আমি জানি, তুমি উহাদের উপর জবরদস্তিকারী নও, সুতরাং যে আমার শাস্তিকে ভয় করে তাহাকে উপদেশ দান কর কুরআনের সাহায্যে।
We are most knowing of what they say, and you are not over them a tyrant. But remind by the Qur'an whoever fears My threat.
نَّحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ وَمَآ أَنتَ عَلَيْهِم بِجَبَّارٍ فَذَكِّرْ بِٱلْقُرْءَانِ مَن يَخَافُ وَعِيدِ
