Pickthall
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another
জহুরুল হক
ভাবো প্রেরিতপুরুষগণের কথা - - একের পর এক,
Saheeh International
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts
Arabic, with marks
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ وَالْمُرْسَلَاتِ عُرْفًا
Word by word
وَٱلْمُرْسَلَٰتِ عُرْفًا
Pickthall
By the raging hurricanes,
জহুরুল হক
আর ভাবো ঝড়ের মতো আসা দমকা হাওয়ার কথা,

And the winds that blow violently

فَالْعَاصِفَاتِ عَصْفًا
Word by word
فَٱلْعَٰصِفَٰتِ عَصْفًا
Pickthall
By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive;
জহুরুল হক
আর ভাবো যারা ছড়াচ্ছে ছড়ানোর মতো,
Saheeh International
And [by] the winds that spread [clouds]

وَالنَّاشِرَاتِ نَشْرًا
Word by word
وَٱلنَّٰشِرَٰتِ نَشْرًا
Pickthall
By those who winnow with a winnowing,
জহুরুল হক
তারপর আলাদা করে দেয় আলাদা করণে,
Saheeh International
And those [angels] who bring criterion

فَالْفَارِقَاتِ فَرْقًا

فَٱلْفَٰرِقَٰتِ فَرْقًا
Pickthall
By those who bring down the Reminder,
জহুরুল হক
তারপর গেথে দেঁয় স্মারক গ্রন্থ, - -
Saheeh International
And those [angels] who deliver a message

فَالْمُلْقِيَاتِ ذِكْرًا

فَٱلْمُلْقِيَٰتِ ذِكْرًا
Pickthall
To excuse or to warn,
জহুরুল হক
পরিশোধিত করতে অথবা সতর্ক করতে।
Saheeh International
As justification or warning,

عُذْرًا أَوْ نُذْرًا

عُذْرًا أَوْ نُذْرًا
Pickthall
Surely that which ye are promised will befall.
জহুরুল হক
নিশ্চয় তোমাদের যা ওয়াদা করা হয়েছে তা অবশ্যই ঘটতে যাচ্ছে।
Saheeh International
Indeed, what you are promised is to occur.

إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَاقِعٌ

إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَٰقِعٌ

So when the stars are put out,
জহুরুল হক
সুতরাং যখন তারাগুলো ঝিমিয়ে পড়বে।

So when the stars are obliterated

فَإِذَا النُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ

فَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ

And when the sky is riven asunder,
জহুরুল হক
আর যখন আকাশ ভেঙ্গে পড়বে,

And when the heaven is opened

وَإِذَا السَّمَاءُ فُرِجَتْ

وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ فُرِجَتْ

And when the mountains are blown away,
জহুরুল হক
আর যখন পাহাড়গুলোকে উড়িয়ে দেওয়া হবে,

And when the mountains are blown away

وَإِذَا الْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ

وَإِذَا ٱلْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ

And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed -
জহুরুল হক
আর যখন রসূলগণকে নির্ধারিত সময়ে নিয়ে আসা হবে - -
Saheeh International
And when the messengers' time has come...

وَإِذَا الرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتْ

وَإِذَا ٱلرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتْ

For what day is the time appointed ?
জহুরুল হক
কোন সে দিনের জন্য ধার্য রাখা হয়েছে?

For what Day was it postponed?

لِأَيِّ يَوْمٍ أُجِّلَتْ

For the Day of Decision.

ফয়সালার দিনের জন্য।

For the Day of Judgement.

لِيَوْمِ الْفَصْلِ

لِيَوْمِ ٱلْفَصْلِ
Pickthall
And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! -
জহুরুল হক
আর কী তোমাকে বুঝতে দেবে ফয়সালার দিনটি কি?
Saheeh International
And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement?

وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ

Woe unto the repudiators on that day!

ধিক্ সেইদিন সত্যপ্রত্যাখ্যানকারীদের জন্য!
Saheeh International
Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
Pickthall
Destroyed We not the former folk,
জহুরুল হক
আমরা কি পূর্ববর্তীদের নিধন করি নি?
Saheeh International
Did We not destroy the former peoples?

أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ الْأَوَّلِينَ

أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
Pickthall
Then caused the latter folk to follow after ?
জহুরুল হক
তারপর পরবর্তীদেরও আমরা তাদের অনুগমন করাব।
Saheeh International
Then We will follow them with the later ones.

ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ الْآخِرِينَ

ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ
Pickthall
Thus deal We ever with the guilty.
জহুরুল হক
এইভাবেই আমরা অপরাধীদের প্রতি আচরণ করে থাকি।
Saheeh International
Thus do We deal with the criminals.

كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِالْمُجْرِمِينَ

كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ

Woe unto the repudiators on that day!

ধিক সেইদিন সত্যপ্রত্যাখ্যানকারীদের প্রতি!

Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

Did We not create you from a base fluid
জহুরুল হক
তোমাদের কি আমরা সৃষ্টি করি নি এক তুচ্ছ জলীয় পদার্থ থেকে?
Saheeh International
Did We not create you from a liquid disdained?

أَلَمْ نَخْلُقكُّم مِّن مَّاءٍ مَّهِينٍ

أَلَمْ نَخْلُقكُّم مِّن مَّآءٍ مَّهِينٍ
Pickthall
Which We laid up in a safe abode
জহুরুল হক
তারপর আমরা তা স্থাপন করি এক সুরক্ষিত স্থানে, - -
Saheeh International
And We placed it in a firm lodging

فَجَعَلْنَاهُ فِي قَرَارٍ مَّكِينٍ

فَجَعَلْنَٰهُ فِى قَرَارٍ مَّكِينٍ
Pickthall
For a known term ?
জহুরুল হক
এক অবহিত পরিমাপ পর্যন্ত;

For a known extent.

إِلَىٰ قَدَرٍ مَّعْلُومٍ

إِلَىٰ قَدَرٍ مَّعْلُومٍ
Pickthall
Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging!
জহুরুল হক
তারপর আমরা বিন্যস্ত করি, সুতরাং কত নিপুণ বিন্যাসকারী আমরা!
Saheeh International
And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine.

فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ الْقَادِرُونَ

فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ ٱلْقَٰدِرُونَ
Pickthall
Woe unto the repudiators on that day!
জহুরুল হক
ধিক্ সেইদিন সত্যপ্রত্যাখ্যানকারীদের প্রতি!
Saheeh International
Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

Have We not made the earth a receptacle
জহুরুল হক
আমরা কি পৃথিবীটাকে বানাই নি আধাররূপে - -
Saheeh International
Have We not made the earth a container

أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا

أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ ٱلْأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا

Both for the living and the dead,

জীবিত ও মৃত, - -
Saheeh International
Of the living and the dead?

أَحْيَاءً وَأَمْوَاتًا
Word by word
أَحْيَآءً وَأَمْوَٰتًا
Pickthall
And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein ?
জহুরুল হক
আর তাতেই তো আমরা বানিয়েছি উঁচু পাহাড় - পর্বত, আর তোমাদের পান করতে দিয়েছি সুপেয় পানি?
Saheeh International
And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water.

وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ شَامِخَاتٍ وَأَسْقَيْنَاكُم مَّاءً فُرَاتًا

وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ شَٰمِخَٰتٍ وَأَسْقَيْنَٰكُم مَّآءً فُرَاتًا
Pickthall
Woe unto the repudiators on that day!
জহুরুল হক
ধিক সেইদিন সত্যপ্রত্যাখ্যানকারীদের প্রতি!
Saheeh International
Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
Pickthall
(It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny;
জহুরুল হক
''তোমরা চলো তারই দিকে যাকে তোমরা অস্বীকার করতে, - -
Saheeh International
[They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny.
Arabic, with marks
انطَلِقُوا إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ

ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ
Pickthall
Depart unto the shadow falling threefold,
জহুরুল হক
''চলো সেই ছায়ার দিকে যার রয়েছে তিনটি স্তর, - -
Saheeh International
Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns

انطَلِقُوا إِلَىٰ ظِلٍّ ذِي ثَلَاثِ شُعَبٍ
Word by word
ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ ظِلٍّ ذِى ثَلَٰثِ شُعَبٍ
Pickthall
(Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame.
জহুরুল হক
''যা ছায়াময় নয় এবং অগ্নিশিখা থেকে রক্ষা করার মতোও নয়।
Saheeh International
[But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame."

لَّا ظَلِيلٍ وَلَا يُغْنِي مِنَ اللَّهَبِ

لَّا ظَلِيلٍ وَلَا يُغْنِى مِنَ ٱللَّهَبِ
Pickthall
Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles,
জহুরুল হক
''নিঃসন্দেহ এটি স্ফুলিঙ্গ তোলে অট্টালিকার আকারে,
Saheeh International
Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress,

إِنَّهَا تَرْمِي بِشَرَرٍ كَالْقَصْرِ

إِنَّهَا تَرْمِى بِشَرَرٍ كَٱلْقَصْرِ
Pickthall
(Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue.

''যেন সেগুলো হলুদবরণ উটের পাল।’’
Saheeh International
As if they were yellowish [black] camels.

كَأَنَّهُ جِمَالَتٌ صُفْرٌ

كَأَنَّهُۥ جِمَٰلَتٌ صُفْرٌ
Pickthall
Woe unto the repudiators on that day!

ধিক্ সেইদিন সত্যপ্রত্যাখ্যানকারীদের প্রতি!
Saheeh International
Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
Pickthall
This is a day wherein they speak not,
জহুরুল হক
এ হচ্ছে ঐ দিন যেদিন তারা কোনো কথা বলতে পারবে না,

This is a Day they will not speak,

هَٰذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ

هَٰذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ
Pickthall
Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses.
জহুরুল হক
আর তাদের অনুমতি দেওয়া হবে না যেন তারা অজুহাত দেখাতে পারে।
Saheeh International
Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse.

وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ

وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ
Pickthall
Woe unto the repudiators on that day!
জহুরুল হক
ধিক্ সেইদিন সত্যপ্রত্যাখানকারীদের প্রতি!
Saheeh International
Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
Pickthall
This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together.
জহুরুল হক
এই হচ্ছে ফয়সালা করার দিন, আমরা তোমাদের সমবেত করেছি, আর পূর্ববর্তীদেরও।
Saheeh International
This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples.

هَٰذَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ ۖ جَمَعْنَاكُمْ وَالْأَوَّلِينَ

هَٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ جَمَعْنَٰكُمْ وَٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
Pickthall
If now ye have any wit, outwit Me.
জহুরুল হক
সুতরাং তোমাদের যদি কোনো কলাকৌশল থাকে তাহলে আমার বিরুদ্ধে অপকৌশল চালাও।
Saheeh International
So if you have a plan, then plan against Me.

فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌ فَكِيدُونِ

فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌ فَكِيدُونِ
Pickthall
Woe unto the repudiators on that day!

ধিক্ সেইদিন সত্যপ্রত্যাখ্যানকারীদের প্রতি!
Saheeh International
Woe, that Day, to the deniers.
Arabic, with marks
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
Pickthall
Lo! those who kept their duty are amid shade and fountains,
জহুরুল হক
নিশ্চয় ধর্মভীরুরা থাকবে স্নিগ্ধছায়ায় ও ফোয়ারাগুলোতে,
Saheeh International
Indeed, the righteous will be among shades and springs

إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي ظِلَالٍ وَعُيُونٍ

إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى ظِلَٰلٍ وَعُيُونٍ
Pickthall
And fruits such as they desire.
জহুরুল হক
আর ফলফসলের মধ্যে যা তারা পেতে চায়।
Saheeh International
And fruits from whatever they desire,

وَفَوَاكِهَ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ

وَفَوَٰكِهَ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ
Pickthall
(Unto them it is said:) Eat, drink and welcome, O ye blessed, in return for what ye did.
জহুরুল হক
''খাও আর পিয়ো মহানন্দে যা তোমরা করে চলেছিলে সেজন্য।’’
Saheeh International
[Being told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you used to do."
Arabic, with marks
كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا هَنِيئًا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

كُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ هَنِيٓـًٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
Pickthall
Thus do We reward the good.
জহুরুল হক
নিঃসন্দেহ এইভাবেই আমরা প্রতিদান দিই সৎকর্মশীলদের।
Saheeh International
Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.

إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ

إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
Pickthall
Woe unto the repudiators on that day!

ধিক্ সেইদিন সত্যপ্রত্যাখ্যানকারীদের প্রতি!
Saheeh International
Woe, that Day, to the deniers.
Arabic, with marks
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
Pickthall
Eat and take your ease (on earth) a little. Lo! ye are guilty.
জহুরুল হক
খাও - দাও আর ভোগ করে নাও অল্পকালের জন্য - - তোমরা তো অপরাধী!’’
Saheeh International
[O disbelievers], eat and enjoy yourselves a little; indeed, you are criminals.

كُلُوا وَتَمَتَّعُوا قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجْرِمُونَ

كُلُوا۟ وَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجْرِمُونَ
Pickthall
Woe unto the repudiators on that day!

ধিক্ সেইদিন সত্যপ্রত্যাখ্যানকারীদের প্রতি!
Saheeh International
Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

When it is said unto them: Bow down, they bow not down!

আর যখন তাদের বলা হয় ''নত হও’’, তারা নত হয় না।
Saheeh International
And when it is said to them, "Bow [in prayer]," they do not bow.

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ارْكَعُوا لَا يَرْكَعُونَ

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱرْكَعُوا۟ لَا يَرْكَعُونَ

Woe unto the repudiators on that day!

ধিক্ সেইদিন সত্যপ্রত্যাখ্যানকারীদের প্রতি!
Saheeh International
Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

In what statement, after this, will they believe ?

অতএব এর পরে আর কোন বাণীতে তারা বিশ্বাস করবে?

Then in what statement after the Qur'an will they believe?

فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثٍ بَعْدَهُ يُؤْمِنُونَ
