Pickthall

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. Lo! We sent Noah unto his people (saying): Warn thy people ere the painful doom come unto them.

সমকালীন বাংলা

র নামে শুরু করছি, পরম করুণাময় পরম দয়ালু;নিশ্চয়ই আমরা নূহকে তার সম্প্রদায়ের কাছে প্রেরণ করেছিলাম: “তোমার সম্প্রদায়কে সতর্ক কর, তাদের কাছে যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তি আসার আগে।”

Saheeh International

Indeed, We sent Noah to his people, [saying], "Warn your people before there comes to them a painful punishment."

إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦٓ أَنْ أَنذِرْ قَوْمَكَ مِن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِيَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ

Pickthall

He said: O my people! Lo! I am a plain warner unto you

সমকালীন বাংলা

সে বলল, “হে আমার সম্প্রদায়! নিশ্চয়ই আমি তোমাদের জন্য একজন সুস্পষ্ট সতর্ককারী,

Saheeh International

He said, "O my people, indeed I am to you a clear warner,

قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ إِنِّى لَكُمْ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ

Pickthall

(Bidding you): Serve Allah and keep your duty unto Him and obey me,

সমকালীন বাংলা

যে, আল্লাহর ইবাদত করো, তাঁকে ভয় করো এবং আমার আনুগত্য করো।

Saheeh International

[Saying], 'Worship Allah, fear Him and obey me.

أَنِ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَٱتَّقُوهُ وَأَطِيعُونِ

Pickthall

That He may forgive you somewhat of your sins and respite you to an appointed term. Lo! the term of Allah, when it cometh, cannot be delayed, if ye but knew.

সমকালীন বাংলা

তিনি তোমাদের জন্য তোমাদের পাপসমূহ ক্ষমা করবেন এবং তোমাদেরকে এক নির্ধারিত সময় পর্যন্ত অবকাশ দেবেন। নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহর নির্ধারিত সময় যখন আসে, তখন তা বিলম্বিত করা হয় না, যদি তোমরা জানতে।”

Saheeh International

Allah will forgive you of your sins and delay you for a specified term. Indeed, the time [set by] Allah, when it comes, will not be delayed, if you only knew.' "

يَغْفِرْ لَكُم مِّن ذُنُوبِكُمْ وَيُؤَخِّرْكُمْ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى إِنَّ أَجَلَ ٱللَّهِ إِذَا جَآءَ لَا يُؤَخَّرُ لَوْ كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ

Pickthall

He said: My Lord! Lo! I have called unto my people night and day

সমকালীন বাংলা

সে বলল, “হে আমার প্রতিপালক! নিশ্চয়ই আমি আমার সম্প্রদায়কে রাত ও দিনে আহ্বান করেছি,

Saheeh International

He said, "My Lord, indeed I invited my people [to truth] night and day.

قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّى دَعَوْتُ قَوْمِى لَيْلًا وَنَهَارًا

Pickthall

But all my calling doth but add to their repugnance;

সমকালীন বাংলা

কিন্তু আমার আহ্বান তাদের পলায়নই বৃদ্ধি করেছে।

Saheeh International

But my invitation increased them not except in flight.

فَلَمْ يَزِدْهُمْ دُعَآءِىٓ إِلَّا فِرَارًا

Pickthall

And lo! whenever I call unto them that Thou mayst pardon them they thrust their fingers in their ears and cover themselves with their garments and persist (in their refusal) and magnify themselves in pride.

সমকালীন বাংলা

এবং যখনই আমি আহ্বান করেছি যাতে আপনি তাদের ক্ষমা করেন, তারা তাদের আঙুলগুলো তাদের কানে দিয়েছে, নিজেদের বস্ত্র দিয়ে নিজেদের ঢেকেছে, অবিচল থেকেছে এবং চরম ঔদ্ধত্য প্রদর্শন করেছে।

Saheeh International

And indeed, every time I invited them that You may forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, covered themselves with their garments, persisted, and were arrogant with [great] arrogance.

وَإِنِّى كُلَّمَا دَعَوْتُهُمْ لِتَغْفِرَ لَهُمْ جَعَلُوٓا۟ أَصَٰبِعَهُمْ فِىٓ ءَاذَانِهِمْ وَٱسْتَغْشَوْا۟ ثِيَابَهُمْ وَأَصَرُّوا۟ وَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ ٱسْتِكْبَارًا

Pickthall

And lo! I have called unto them aloud,

সমকালীন বাংলা

অতঃপর আমি তাদেরকে প্রকাশ্যে আহ্বান করেছি,

Saheeh International

Then I invited them publicly.

ثُمَّ إِنِّى دَعَوْتُهُمْ جِهَارًا

Pickthall

And lo! I have made public proclamation unto them, and I have appealed to them in private.

সমকালীন বাংলা

পরে আমি তাদেরকে ঘোষণা দিয়ে বলেছি এবং গোপনেও বলেছি,

Saheeh International

Then I announced to them and [also] confided to them secretly

ثُمَّ إِنِّىٓ أَعْلَنتُ لَهُمْ وَأَسْرَرْتُ لَهُمْ إِسْرَارًا

Pickthall

And I have said: Seek pardon of your Lord. Lo! He was ever Forgiving.

সমকালীন বাংলা

অতঃপর আমি বলেছি, ‘তোমাদের প্রতিপালকের কাছে ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা করো; নিশ্চয়ই তিনি ক্ষমাশীল,

Saheeh International

And said, 'Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever a Perpetual Forgiver.

فَقُلْتُ ٱسْتَغْفِرُوا۟ رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ غَفَّارًا

Pickthall

He will let loose the sky for you in plenteous rain,

সমকালীন বাংলা

তিনি তোমাদের উপর প্রচুর বৃষ্টি বর্ষণ করবেন,

Saheeh International

He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [continuing] showers

يُرْسِلِ ٱلسَّمَآءَ عَلَيْكُم مِّدْرَارًا

Pickthall

And will help you with wealth and sons, and will assign unto you Gardens and will assign unto you rivers.

সমকালীন বাংলা

এবং তোমাদেরকে সম্পদ ও সন্তানসন্ততিতে সমৃদ্ধ করবেন, এবং তোমাদের জন্য উদ্যানসমূহ ও নদীসমূহ সৃষ্টি করবেন।

Saheeh International

And give you increase in wealth and children and provide for you gardens and provide for you rivers.

وَيُمْدِدْكُم بِأَمْوَٰلٍ وَبَنِينَ وَيَجْعَل لَّكُمْ جَنَّٰتٍ وَيَجْعَل لَّكُمْ أَنْهَٰرًا

Pickthall

What aileth you that ye hope not toward Allah for dignity

সমকালীন বাংলা

তোমাদের কী হয়েছে যে তোমরা আল্লাহর মহিমা আশা করো না?

Saheeh International

What is [the matter] with you that you do not attribute to Allah [due] grandeur

مَّا لَكُمْ لَا تَرْجُونَ لِلَّهِ وَقَارًا

Pickthall

When He created you by (divers) stages ?

সমকালীন বাংলা

অথচ তিনি তোমাদেরকে বিভিন্ন পর্যায়ে সৃষ্টি করেছেন।

Saheeh International

While He has created you in stages?

وَقَدْ خَلَقَكُمْ أَطْوَارًا

Pickthall

See ye not how Allah hath created seven heavens in harmony,

সমকালীন বাংলা

তোমরা কি দেখো না, কীভাবে সাত আকাশ স্তরে স্তরে সৃষ্টি করেছেন?

Saheeh International

Do you not consider how Allah has created seven heavens in layers

أَلَمْ تَرَوْا۟ كَيْفَ خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ سَبْعَ سَمَٰوَٰتٍ طِبَاقًا

Pickthall

And hath made the moon a light therein, and made the sun a lamp ?

সমকালীন বাংলা

এবং তার মধ্যে চাঁদকে আলো এবং সূর্যকে প্রদীপ বানিয়েছেন।

Saheeh International

And made the moon therein a [reflected] light and made the sun a burning lamp?

وَجَعَلَ ٱلْقَمَرَ فِيهِنَّ نُورًا وَجَعَلَ ٱلشَّمْسَ سِرَاجًا

Pickthall

And Allah hath caused you to grow as a growth from the earth,

সমকালীন বাংলা

এবং তোমাদেরকে পৃথিবী থেকে উদ্ভিদের মতো উদ্ভূত করেছেন।

Saheeh International

And Allah has caused you to grow from the earth a [progressive] growth.

وَٱللَّهُ أَنۢبَتَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ نَبَاتًا

Pickthall

And afterward He maketh you return thereto, and He will bring you forth again, a (new) forthbringing.

সমকালীন বাংলা

অতঃপর তিনি তোমাদেরকে তাতে ফিরিয়ে দেবেন এবং পুনরায় বের করবেন।

Saheeh International

Then He will return you into it and extract you [another] extraction.

ثُمَّ يُعِيدُكُمْ فِيهَا وَيُخْرِجُكُمْ إِخْرَاجًا

Pickthall

And Allah hath made the earth a wide expanse for you

সমকালীন বাংলা

এবং তোমাদের জন্য পৃথিবীকে বিস্তৃত করেছেন,

Saheeh International

And Allah has made for you the earth an expanse

وَٱللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلْأَرْضَ بِسَاطًا

Pickthall

That ye may thread the valley - ways thereof.

সমকালীন বাংলা

যাতে তোমরা তাতে প্রশস্ত পথসমূহে চলতে পারো।

Saheeh International

That you may follow therein roads of passage.' "

لِّتَسْلُكُوا۟ مِنْهَا سُبُلًا فِجَاجًا

Pickthall

Noah said: My Lord! Lo! they have disobeyed me and followed one whose wealth and children increase him in naught save ruin;

সমকালীন বাংলা

নূহ বলল, “হে আমার প্রতিপালক! তারা আমাকে অমান্য করেছে এবং এমন লোকদের অনুসরণ করেছে, যাদের সম্পদ ও সন্তানসন্ততি তাদের ক্ষতিই বৃদ্ধি করেছে।

Saheeh International

Noah said, "My Lord, indeed they have disobeyed me and followed him whose wealth and children will not increase him except in loss.

قَالَ نُوحٌ رَّبِّ إِنَّهُمْ عَصَوْنِى وَٱتَّبَعُوا۟ مَن لَّمْ يَزِدْهُ مَالُهُۥ وَوَلَدُهُۥٓ إِلَّا خَسَارًا

Pickthall

And they have plotted a mighty plot,

সমকালীন বাংলা

এবং তারা এক মহা ষড়যন্ত্র করেছে।

Saheeh International

And they conspired an immense conspiracy.

وَمَكَرُوا۟ مَكْرًا كُبَّارًا

Pickthall

And they have said: Forsake not your gods. Forsake not Wadd, nor Suwa', nor Yaghuth and Ya'uq and Nasr.

সমকালীন বাংলা

এবং তারা বলেছে, ‘তোমরা কখনোই তোমাদের উপাস্যদের ত্যাগ করো না; এবং কখনোই ওয়াদ্দ, সুওয়া‘, ইয়াগূস, ইয়াঊক ও নাসরকে ত্যাগ করো না।’

Saheeh International

And said, 'Never leave your gods and never leave Wadd or Suwa' or Yaghuth and Ya'uq and Nasr.

وَقَالُوا۟ لَا تَذَرُنَّ ءَالِهَتَكُمْ وَلَا تَذَرُنَّ وَدًّا وَلَا سُوَاعًا وَلَا يَغُوثَ وَيَعُوقَ وَنَسْرًا

Pickthall

And they have led many astray, and Thou increasest the wrong - doers in naught save error.

সমকালীন বাংলা

এবং তারা অনেককে পথভ্রষ্ট করেছে। আর আপনি জালিমদের জন্য ভ্রষ্টতা ছাড়া আর কিছুই বৃদ্ধি করবেন না।

Saheeh International

And already they have misled many. And, [my Lord], do not increase the wrongdoers except in error."

وَقَدْ أَضَلُّوا۟ كَثِيرًا وَلَا تَزِدِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ إِلَّا ضَلَٰلًا

Pickthall

Because of their sins they were drowned, then made to enter a Fire. And they found they had no helpers in place of Allah.

সমকালীন বাংলা

তাদের পাপের কারণে তারা নিমজ্জিত হয়েছিল; অতঃপর তাদেরকে আগুনে প্রবেশ করানো হয়েছিল। তারপর তারা ছাড়া নিজেদের জন্য কোনো সাহায্যকারী পায়নি।

Saheeh International

Because of their sins they were drowned and put into the Fire, and they found not for themselves besides Allah [any] helpers.

مِّمَّا خَطِيٓـَٰٔتِهِمْ أُغْرِقُوا۟ فَأُدْخِلُوا۟ نَارًا فَلَمْ يَجِدُوا۟ لَهُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَنصَارًا

Pickthall

And Noah said: My Lord! Leave not one of the disbelievers in the land.

সমকালীন বাংলা

এবং নূহ বলল, “হে আমার প্রতিপালক! পৃথিবীর উপর অস্বীকারকারীদের মধ্য থেকে কোনো বসবাসকারীকে অবশিষ্ট রাখবেন না।

Saheeh International

And Noah said, "My Lord, do not leave upon the earth from among the disbelievers an inhabitant.

وَقَالَ نُوحٌ رَّبِّ لَا تَذَرْ عَلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ مِنَ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ دَيَّارًا

Pickthall

If Thou shouldst leave them, they will mislead Thy slaves and will beget none save lewd ingrates.

সমকালীন বাংলা

নিশ্চয়ই আপনি যদি তাদেরকে অবশিষ্ট রাখেন, তারা আপনার বান্দাদেরকে পথভ্রষ্ট করবে এবং তারা কেবল পাপাচারী অস্বীকারকারীরই জন্ম দেবে।

Saheeh International

Indeed, if You leave them, they will mislead Your servants and not beget except [every] wicked one and [confirmed] .

إِنَّكَ إِن تَذَرْهُمْ يُضِلُّوا۟ عِبَادَكَ وَلَا يَلِدُوٓا۟ إِلَّا فَاجِرًا كَفَّارًا

Pickthall

My Lord! Forgive me and my parents and him who entereth my house believing, and believing men and believing women, and increase not the wrong - doers in aught save ruin.

সমকালীন বাংলা

হে আমার প্রতিপালক! আমাকে ক্ষমা করুন, আমার পিতামাতাকে, এবং যে আমার ঘরে অবস্থায় প্রবেশ করে তাকে, এবং পুরুষ ও নারীদেরও। আর জালিমদের ধ্বংস ছাড়া আর কিছুই বৃদ্ধি করবেন না।”

Saheeh International

My Lord, forgive me and my parents and whoever enters my house a believer and the believing men and believing women. And do not increase the wrongdoers except in destruction."

رَّبِّ ٱغْفِرْ لِى وَلِوَٰلِدَىَّ وَلِمَن دَخَلَ بَيْتِىَ مُؤْمِنًا وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ وَلَا تَزِدِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ إِلَّا تَبَارًۢا
