Chapter 6, 165 verses

আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
Transliteration
Shakir
All praise is due to Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth and made the darkness and the light; yet those who disbelieve set up equals with their Lord.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
সব প্রশংসা আল্লাহর যিনি সৃষ্টি করেছেন মহাকাশ এবং এই পৃথিবী, যিনি তৈরি করেছেন অন্ধকাররাশি আর আলো। এরপরও কাফিররা তাদের রবের সাথে (তাঁর সৃষ্টিকে) তুলনা করে।
He it is Who created you from clay, then He decreed a term; and there is a term named with Him; still you doubt.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তিনি সেই মহান সত্তা, যিনি তোমাদের সৃষ্টি করেছেন মাটি থেকে, তারপর নির্ধারণ করে দিয়েছেন একটি মেয়াদকাল, আর ঠিক করেছেন একটি নির্দিষ্ট সময় (কিয়ামত) যা কেবল তিনিই জানেন। তারপরও তোমরা সন্দেহ করছো।
Transliteration
Huwa allathee khalaqakum min teenin thumma qada ajalan waajalun musamman AAindahu thumma antum tamtaroona
Shakir
And He is Allah in the heavens and in the earth; He knows your secret (thoughts) and your open (words), and He knows what you earn.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
মহাকাশে এবং পৃথিবীতে তিনিই । তিনি তোমাদের গোপন ও প্রকাশ্য সবই জানেন। তোমরা যা কামাই করছো তাও তিনি জানেন।
Do they not consider how many a generation We have destroyed before them, whom We had established in the earth as We have not established you, and We sent the clouds pouring rain on them in abundance, and We made the rivers to flow beneath them, then We destroyed them on account of their faults and raised up after them another generation.

তারা কি দেখেনা, আমরা তাদের আগে কতো জনপদকে হালাক করে দিয়েছি। জমিনে তাদের এমন প্রতিষ্ঠা দিয়েছিলাম, যে রকম প্রতিষ্ঠা তোমাদেরকেও দেইনি। তাদের প্রতি আমরা মুষুলধারে বৃষ্টিপাত করেছিলাম, তাদের জমিনে নদ নদী প্রবাহিত করে দিয়েছিলাম। তারপর তাদের পাপের কারণে আমরা তাদের হালাক করে দিয়েছি এবং তাদের পরে সৃষ্টি করেছি অপর একটি প্রজন্ম।
Transliteration
Alam yaraw kam ahlakna min qablihim min qarnin makkannahum fee alardi ma lam numakkin lakum waarsalna alssamaa AAalayhim midraran wajaAAalna alanhara tajree min tahtihim faahlaknahum bithunoobihim waanshana min baAAdihim qarnan akhareena
Shakir
And if We had sent to you a writing on a paper, then they had touched it with their hands, certainly those who disbelieve would have said: This is nothing but clear enchantment.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
আমরা যদি তোমার কাছে কাগজে লেখা একটি কিতাব পাঠিয়ে দিতাম, আর তারা যদি তা নিজেদের হাতেও স্পর্শ করতো, তবু কাফিররা বলতো, এ তো এক সুস্পষ্ট ম্যাজিক ছাড়া আর কিছুই নয়।’
Transliteration
Walaw nazzalna AAalayka kitaban fee qirtasin falamasoohu biaydeehim laqala allatheena kafaroo in hatha illa sihrun mubeenun
Shakir
And they say: Why has not an angel been sent down to him? And had We sent down an angel, the matter would have certainly been decided and then they would not have been respited.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তারা বলে: ‘তার কাছে কোনো ফেরেশতা পাঠানো হলোনা কেন?’ - আমরা যদি ফেরেশতা পাঠাতাম তবে তো চূড়ান্ত ফায়সালাই হয়ে যেতো, তারপর তাদেরকে আর কোনো অবকাশই দেয়া হতোনা।
And if We had made him angel, We would certainly have made him a man, and We would certainly have made confused to them what they make confused.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তাকে যদি আমরা ফেরেশ্তাও বানাতাম, তারপরও তো তাকে একজন মানুষের আকৃতিতেই পাঠাতাম। তখনো তো তাদের সেরকম বিভ্রান্তিতেই ফেলতাম, যেরকম বিভ্রান্তিতে এখন তারা আছে।
Transliteration
Walaw jaAAalnahu malakan lajaAAalnahu rajulan walalabasna AAalayhim ma yalbisoona
Shakir
And certainly apostles before you were mocked at, but that which they mocked at encompassed the scoffers among them.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তোমার আগেও বহু রসূলকেই বিদ্রুপ করা হয়েছে। তারা যা নিয়ে বিদ্রুপ করছিল, অবশেষে তা - ই বিদ্রুপকারীদের পরিবেষ্টন করে নেয়।
Transliteration
Walaqadi istuhzia birusulin min qablika fahaqa biallatheena sakhiroo minhum ma kanoo bihi yastahzioona
Shakir
Say: Travel in the land, then see what was the end of the rejecters.
Qul seeroo fee alardi thumma onthuroo kayfa kana AAaqibatu almukaththibeena
Shakir
Say: To whom belongs what is in the heavens and the earth? Say: To Allah; He has ordained mercy on Himself; most certainly He will gather you on the resurrection day - - there is no doubt about it. (As for) those who have lost their souls, they will not believe.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তাদের জিজ্ঞেস করো: ‘মহাকাশ আর এই পৃথিবীতে যা কিছু আছে সেগুলো কার?’ বলো: ‘আল্লাহর।’ রহম (দয়া) করা তিনি তাঁর দায়িত্ব হিসেবে লিখে নিয়েছেন। অবশ্য অবশ্যি তিনি তোমাদের জমা করবেন কিয়ামতের দিন, এতে কোনোই সন্দেহ্ নেই। যারা নিজেরাই নিজেদের ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত করেছে, তারা আর ঈমান আনবেনা।
Transliteration
Qul liman ma fee alssamawati waalardi qul lillahi kataba AAala nafsihi alrrahmata layajmaAAannakum ila yawmi alqiyamati la rayba feehi allatheena khasiroo anfusahum fahum la yuminoona
Shakir
And to Him belongs whatever dwells in the night and the day; and He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
রাতে এবং দিনে যা কিছু বিরাজ করে সবই তাঁর। তিনি সর্বশ্রোতা, সর্বজ্ঞানী।
Transliteration
Walahu ma sakana fee allayli waalnnahari wahuwa alssameeAAu alAAaleemu
Shakir
Say: Shall I take a guardian besides Allah, the Originator of the heavens and the earth, and He feeds (others) and is not (Himself) fed. Say: I am commanded to be the first who submits himself, and you should not be of the polytheists.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
হে নবী! বলো: ‘আমি কি মহাকাশ ও পৃথিবীর স্রষ্টা আল্লাহকে ছাড়া অন্য কাউকেও অলি হিসেবে গ্রহণ করবো? অথচ তিনিই আহার যোগান, কিন্তু তাকে তো কেউ আহার দেয়না।’ হে নবী! বলো: ‘আমাকে নির্দেশ দেয়া হয়েছে, আত্মসমর্পণকারীদের মধ্যে আমিই যেনো প্রথম ব্যক্তি হই।’ আমাকে আরো নির্দেশ দেয়া হয়েছে: ‘তুমি মুশরিকদের মধ্যে শামিল হয়োনা।’
Transliteration
Qul aghayra Allahi attakhithu waliyyan fatiri alssamawati waalardi wahuwa yutAAimu wala yutAAamu qul innee omirtu an akoona awwala man aslama wala takoonanna mina almushrikeena
Shakir
Say: Surely I fear, if I disobey my Lord, the chastisement of a grievous day.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তুমি বলো: ‘আমি যদি আমার প্রভুর নির্দেশ অমান্য করি, তবে আমি ভয় করি এক মহাদিনের আযাবের।’
Transliteration
Qul innee akhafu in AAasaytu rabbee AAathaba yawmin AAatheemin
Shakir
He from whom it is averted on that day, Allah indeed has shown mercy to him; and this is a manifest achievement.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
যাকে সেদিনের আযাব থেকে রক্ষা করা হবে, তার প্রতি অবশ্যি তিনি রহম করবেন আর এটাই হবে সুস্পষ্ট সাফল্য।
Transliteration
Man yusraf AAanhu yawmaithin faqad rahimahu wathalika alfawzu almubeenu
Shakir
And if Allah touch you with affliction, there is none to take it off but He; and if He visit you with good, then He has power over all things.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
যদি তোমাকে কোনো কষ্টে ফেলেন, তবে তিনি ছাড়া তা দূর করার আর কেউই নেই। আর তিনি যদি তোমাকে কোনো কল্যাণ দান করেন, তবে অবশ্যি তিনি সব বিষয়ে শক্তিমান।
Transliteration
Wain yamsaska Allahu bidurrin fala kashifa lahu illa huwa wain yamsaska bikhayrin fahuwa AAala kulli shayin qadeerun
Shakir
And He is the Supreme, above His servants; and He is the Wise, the Aware.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তিনি নিজ বান্দাদের উপর প্রচন্ড ক্ষমতাশালী। তিনি মহাপ্রজ্ঞাবান, সব বিষয়ে খবর রাখেন।
Say: What thing is the weightiest in testimony? Say: Allah is witness between you and me; and this Quran has been revealed to me that with it I may warn you and whomsoever it reaches. Do you really bear witness that there are other gods with Allah? Say: I do not bear witness. Say: He is only one Allah, and surely I am clear of that which you set up (with Him).
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
ওদের জিজ্ঞেস করো: ‘সাক্ষ্য প্রদানে সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ কে’? বলো: ‘’। তিনিই আমার ও তোমাদের মাঝে সাক্ষী। আর এ কুরআন আমার কাছে অহি করা হয়েছে যেনো আমি তোমাদেরকে এবং যাদের কাছে তা পৌঁছে তাদেরকে এর মাধ্যমে সতর্ক করি। তোমরা কি এ সাক্ষ্য দাও যে, আল্লাহর সাথে আরো ইলাহ্ আছে?’ বলো: ‘আমি এ সাক্ষ্য দেইনা।’ বলো: ‘অবশ্যি তিনি একমাত্র ইলাহ্ ; আর তোমরা (তাঁর সাথে) যে শরিক করছো আমি তা থেকে একেবারেই নিঃসম্পর্ক।’
Those whom We have given the Book recognize him as they recognize their sons; (as for) those who have lost their souls, they will not believe.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
আমরা ইতোপূর্বে, যাদের কিতাব দিয়েছি, তারা (ইহুদি খৃষ্টানরা) তাকে (শেষ নবী মুহাম্মদকে) ঠিক সেরকমই চিনে যেমন চিনে তাদের নিজেদের সন্তানদের। যারা নিজেদের ক্ষতি করেছে তারা ঈমান আনবেনা।
Transliteration
Allatheena ataynahumu alkitaba yaAArifoonahu kama yaAArifoona abnaahum allatheena khasiroo anfusahum fahum la yuminoona
Shakir
And who is more unjust than he who forges a lie against Allah or (he who) gives the lie to His communications; surely the unjust will not be .
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
ঐ ব্যক্তির চাইতে বড় যালিম আর কে, যে আল্লাহর ব্যাপারে মিথ্যা রচনা করে, অথবা আল্লাহর আয়াত অস্বীকার করে? নিশ্চয়ই যালিমরা সফল হয়না।
Transliteration
Waman athlamu mimmani iftara AAala Allahi kathiban aw kaththaba biayatihi innahu la yuflihu alththalimoona
Shakir
And on the day when We shall gather them all together, then shall We say to those who associated others (with Allah): Where are your associates whom you asserted?
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
যেদিন আমরা তাদের সবাইকে হাশর করবো, তারপর মুশরিকদের বলবো: ‘তোমরা যাদেরকে আল্লাহর শরিক বলে ধারণা করতে তারা এখন কোথায়?
Then their excuse would be nothing but that they would say: By Allah, our Lord, we were not polytheists.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তখন তাদের এছাড়া বলার মতো আর কোনো অজুহাতই থাকবেনা যে: ‘আমাদের প্রভু আল্লাহর শপথ, আমরা মুশরিক ছিলামনা।’
Transliteration
Thumma lam takun fitnatuhum illa an qaloo waAllahi rabbina ma kunna mushrikeena
Shakir
See how they lie against their own souls, and that which they forged has passed away from them.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
দেখো, তারা নিজেদের প্রতি কিভাবে মিথ্যারোপ করছে, আর তারা যে মিথ্যা রচনা করতো, তা (সেসব উপাস্যরা) কিভাবে তাদের থেকে উধাও হয়ে গেছে।
Transliteration
Onthur kayfa kathaboo AAala anfusihim wadalla AAanhum ma kanoo yaftaroona
Shakir
And of them is he who hearkens to you, and We have cast veils over their hearts lest they understand it and a heaviness into their ears; and even if they see every sign they will not believe in it; so much so that when they come to you they only dispute with you; those who disbelieve say: This is naught but the stories of the ancients.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তাদের কিছু লোক তোমার দিকে কান পেতে রাখে আর আমি কিন্তু তাদের অন্তরের উপর আবরণ ফেলে রেখেছি, যেনো তারা তা বুঝতে না পারে, এছাড়া তাদের কানেও পর্দা লাগিয়ে দিয়েছি। সব নিদর্শন দেখলেও তারা ঈমান আনবেনা। তারা যখন তোমার কাছে আসে, তোমার সাথে তর্কে লিপ্ত হয়। যারা কুফুরি করেছে তারা বলে: এতো পূর্ববর্তী লোকদের কাহিনী ছাড়া কিছুই নয়।
Transliteration
Waminhum man yastamiAAu ilayka wajaAAalna AAala quloobihim akinnatan an yafqahoohu wafee athanihim waqran wain yaraw kulla ayatin la yuminoo bihahatta itha jaooka yujadiloonaka yaqoolu allatheena kafaroo in hatha illa asateeru alawwaleena
Shakir
And they prohibit (others) from it and go far away from it, and they only bring destruction upon their own souls while they do not perceive.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তারা অন্যদেরকেও তা (কুরআন) শুনতে বাধা দেয় এবং নিজেরাও তা থেকে দূরে থাকে। তারা নিজেরাই নিজেদের ধ্বংস করছে, অথচ তারা তা বুঝতে পারছেনা।
And could you see when they are made to stand before the fire, then they shall say: Would that we were sent back, and we would not reject the communications of our Lord and we would be of the believers.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তুমি যদি দেখতে, যখন তাদেরকে জাহান্নামের কিনারে দাঁড় করানো হবে আর তারা বলবে: ‘হায়, যদি আমাদের পৃথিবীতে ফেরত পাঠানো হতো, তাহলে আমরা আর আমাদের প্রভুর আয়াতকে অস্বীকার করতামনা এবং আমরা মুমিনদের অন্তরভুক্ত হয়ে যেতাম।’
Transliteration
Walaw tara ith wuqifoo AAala alnnari faqaloo ya laytana nuraddu wala nukaththiba biayati rabbina wanakoona mina almumineena
Shakir
Nay, what they concealed before shall become manifest to them; and if they were sent back, they would certainly go back to that which they are forbidden, and most surely they are liars.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
না, বরং তারা ইতোপূর্বে যা গোপন করতো তা প্রকাশ হয়ে গেছে। তাদেরকে যদি ফেরতও পাঠানো হয়, পুনরায় তারা তাই করবে, যা করতে তাদের নিষেধ করা হয়েছে। অবশ্যি তারা মিথ্যাবাদী।
Transliteration
Bal bada lahum ma kanoo yukhfoona min qablu walaw ruddoo laAAadoo lima nuhoo AAanhu wainnahum lakathiboona
Shakir
And they say: There is nothing but our life of this world, and we shall not be raised.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তারা বলে: ‘আমাদের দুনিয়ার হায়াতটাই একমাত্র হায়াত, মরনের পর আর আমাদের উঠানো হবেনা।’
Transliteration
Waqaloo in hiya illahayatuna alddunya wama nahnu bimabAAootheena
Shakir
And could you see when they are made to stand before their Lord. He will say: Is not this the truth? They will say: Yea! by our Lord. He will say: Taste then the chastisement because you disbelieved.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তুমি যদি দেখতে তাদেরকে যখন তাদের প্রভুর সামনে দাঁড় করানো হবে এবং তিনি যখন তাদের বলবেন: ‘এটা (পুনরুত্থান) কি সত্য নয়?’ তারা বলবে: ‘নিশ্চয়ই আমাদের প্রভুর শপথ!’ তখন তিনি তাদের বলবেন: ‘তোমরা যে কুফুরি করতে তার কারণে এখন স্বাদ গ্রহণ করো আযাবের।’
Transliteration
Walaw tara ith wuqifoo AAala rabbihim qala alaysa hatha bialhaqqi qaloo bala warabbina qala fathooqoo alAAathaba bima kuntum takfuroona
Shakir
They are losers indeed who reject the meeting of Allah; until when the hour comes upon them all of a sudden they shall say: O our grief for our neglecting it! and they shall bear their burdens on their backs; now surely evil is that which they bear.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
অবশ্যি ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয়েছে তারা, যারা আল্লাহর সাথে মোলাকাত হওয়ার বিষয়কে অস্বীকার করেছে। হঠাত যখন তাদের সামনে কিয়ামত উপস্থিত হয়ে যাবে তখন তারা বলবে: ‘হায় আক্ষেপ, আমরা কেন এ জিনিসকে অবহেলা করেছিলাম।’ তারা তাদের পিঠে করে পাপের বোঝা বহন করবে। তারা যা বহন করবে তা যে কতো নিকৃষ্ট!
Transliteration
Qad khasira allatheena kaththaboo biliqai Allahi hatta itha jaathumu alssaAAatu baghtatan qaloo yahasratana AAala ma farratna feeha wahum yahmiloona awzarahum AAalathuhoorihim ala saa ma yaziroona
Shakir
And this world's life is naught but a play and an idle sport and certainly the abode of the hereafter is better for those who guard (against evil); do you not then understand?
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
এই দুনিয়ার হায়াতটা খেল - তামাশা ছাড়া আর কিছুই নয়। যারা তাকওয়া অবলম্বন করে তাদের জন্যে আখিরাতের ঘরই উত্তম। তারপরও তোমরা কি আকল খাটাবেনা?
We know indeed that what they say certainly grieves you, but surely they do not call you a liar; but the unjust deny the communications of Allah.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
আমরা জানি, ওরা যা বলে তা অবশ্যি তোমাকে কষ্ট দেয়। আসলে তারা তো তোমাকে মিথ্যা বলছেনা, বরং এই যালিমরা আল্লাহর আয়াতকেই অস্বীকার করছে।
Transliteration
Qad naAAlamu innahu layahzunuka allathee yaqooloona fainnahum la yukaththiboonaka walakinna alththalimeena biayati Allahi yajhadoona
Shakir
And certainly apostles before you were rejected, but they were patient on being rejected and persecuted until Our help came to them; and there is none to change the words of Allah, and certainly there has come to you some information about the apostles.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তোমার আগে অনেক রসূলকেই মিথ্যাবাদী বলে অস্বীকার করা হয়েছিল। কিন্তু তাদেরকে অস্বীকার এবং কষ্ট দেয়া সত্ত্বেও তারা সবর অবলম্বন করেছিল। শেষ পর্যন্ত তাদের কাছে আমার সাহায্য এসে পৌঁছে। আল্লাহর আদেশ বদল হবার নয়। (অতীত) রসূলদের সংবাদ তো তোমার কাছে এসেছেই।
Transliteration
Walaqad kuththibat rusulun min qablika fasabaroo AAala ma kuththiboo waoothoo hatta atahum nasruna wala mubaddila likalimati Allahi walaqad jaaka min nabai almursaleena
Shakir
And if their turning away is hard on you, then if you can seek an opening (to go down) into the earth or a ladder (to ascend up) to heaven so that you should bring them a sign and if Allah had pleased He would certainly have gathered them all on guidance, therefore be not of the ignorant.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
(তোমার প্রতি) তাদের উপেক্ষা যদি তোমার কাছে অসহনীয় হয়, তবে যদি তোমার ক্ষমতা থাকে মাটির ভেতরে সুড়ঙ্গ খুঁজে নাও, কিংবা আকাশে উঠার মই খুঁজে নাও এবং তাদের জন্যে কোনো নিদর্শন নিয়ে এসো। আসলে চাইলে অবশ্যি তাদের সবাইকে হিদায়াতের উপর একত্র করে দিতেন। সুতরাং তুমি অজ্ঞদের মধ্যে শামিল হয়োনা।
Transliteration
Wain kana kabura AAalayka iAAraduhum faini istataAAta an tabtaghiya nafaqan fee alardi aw sullaman fee alssamai fatatiyahum biayatin walaw shaa Allahu lajamaAAahum AAala alhuda fala takoonanna mina aljahileena
Shakir
Only those accept who listen; and (as to) the dead, Allah will raise them, then to Him they shall be returned.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তোমার আহবানে সাড়া দেয় তো তারা যারা তা (মনোযোগ সহকারে) শুনে। আর মৃতদের পুনরুত্থিত করবেন এবং তাঁর কাছেই তাদের ফিরিয়ে নেয়া হবে।
And they say: Why has not a sign been sent down to him from his Lord? Say: Surely Allah is able to send down a sign, but most of them do not know.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তারা বলে: ‘তার প্রভুর পক্ষ থেকে তার কাছে কোনো নিদর্শন নাযিল করা হলোনা কেন? তুমি বলো: ‘নিদর্শন নাযিল করতে অবশ্যি সক্ষম, তবে তাদের অধিকাংশ লোকই জানেনা।’
Transliteration
Waqaloo lawla nuzzila AAalayhi ayatun min rabbihi qul inna Allaha qadirun AAala an yunazzila ayatan walakinna aktharahum la yaAAlamoona
Shakir
And there is no animal that walks upon the earth nor a bird that flies with its two wings but (they are) genera like yourselves; We have not neglected anything in the Book, then to their Lord shall they be gathered.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
পৃথিবীর বুকে বিচরণশীল এমন কোনো প্রাণী নেই এবং ডানার সাহায্যে উড়ে এমন কোনো পাখি নেই, যারা তোমাদের মতোই বিভিন্ন সম্প্রদায় ছাড়া কিছু নয়। আমরা আল কিতাবে কোনো কিছুই বাদ দেইনি। অবশেষে তাদেরকে তাদের প্রভুর কাছে হাশর করা হবে।
Transliteration
Wama min dabbatin fee alardi walatairin yateeru bijanahayhi illa omamun amthalukum ma farratna fee alkitabi min shayin thumma ila rabbihim yuhsharoona
Shakir
And they who reject Our communications are deaf and dumb, in utter darkness; whom Allah pleases He causes to err and whom He pleases He puts on the right way.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
যারা আমার আয়াতকে অস্বীকার করে তারা অন্ধকাররাশিতে বধির ও বোবা। যাকে চান বিপথগামী করেন, আর যাকে চান তিনি সিরাতুল মুস্তাকিমের উপর প্রতিষ্ঠিত করেন।
Say: Tell me if the chastisement of Allah should overtake you or the hour should come upon you, will you call (on others) besides Allah, if you are truthful?

হে নবী! বলো: ‘তোমরা চিন্তা করে দেখো, তোমাদের উপর যদি (হঠাৎ) আল্লাহর আযাব এসে পড়ে, কিংবা এসে পড়ে কিয়ামত, তখন কি তোমরা ছাড়া আর কাউকেও ডাকবে? সত্যবাদী হয়ে থাকলে বলো।’
Transliteration
Qul araaytakum in atakum AAathabu Allahi aw atatkumu alssaAAatu aghayra Allahi tadAAoona in kuntum sadiqeena
Shakir
Nay, Him you call upon, so He clears away that for which you pray if He pleases and you forget what you set up (with Him).
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
‘না, বরং তোমরা তখন কেবল তাঁকেই ডাকবে। তারপর তোমরা যে কষ্টের জন্যে তাঁকে ডাকো তিনি চাইলে তা দূর করে দেন; আর তোমরা যাদেরকে (আল্লাহর সাথে) শরিক করো তখন তাদের কথা ভুলে থাকো।’
Transliteration
Bal iyyahu tadAAoona fayakshifu ma tadAAoona ilayhi in shaa watansawna ma tushrikoona
Shakir
And certainly We sent (apostles) to nations before you then We seized them with distress and affliction in order that they might humble themselves.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তোমাদের আগে বহু উম্মতের কাছে আমরা রসূল পাঠিয়েছি, তারপর তাদেরকে আমরা দুর্ভিক্ষ ও দুঃখ কষ্ট দিয়ে সাজা দিয়েছি যাতে করে তারা বিনয়ী হয়।
Transliteration
Walaqad arsalna ila omamin min qablika faakhathnahum bialbasai waalddarrai laAAallahum yatadarraAAoona
Shakir
Yet why did they not, when Our punishment came to them, humble themselves? But their hearts hardened and the Shaitan made what they did fair - seeming to them.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
আমাদের সাজা তাদের উপর এসে পড়ার প্রাক্কালে কেন তারা বিনয়ী হলোনা? বরঞ্চ তাদের অন্তর কঠিন হয়ে গিয়েছিল আর শয়তান তাদের কর্মকান্ডকে তাদের কাছে মনোহরী করে তুলে ধরেছিল।
But when they neglected that with which they had been admonished, We opened for them the doors of all things, until when they rejoiced in what they were given We seized them suddenly; then lo! they were in utter despair.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তাদেরকে যে উপদেশ দেয়া হয়েছিল তারা যখন তা ভুলে গিয়েছিল, তখন আমরা তাদের জন্যে সবকিছুর দ্বার উন্মুক্ত করে দিয়েছিলাম। তাদের যা দেয়া হয়েছিল সেগুলোতে যখন তারা মত্ত হয়ে পড়েছিল, তখন আমরা আকস্মিক তাদের পাকড়াও করেছি, ফলে তারা হতাশ হয়ে পড়েছিল।
Say: Have you considered that if Allah takes away your hearing and your sight and sets a seal on your hearts, who is the god besides Allah that can bring it to you? See how We repeat the communications, yet they turn away.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
হে নবী! বলো: ‘তোমরা ভেবে দেখেছো কি, যদি তোমাদের শ্রবণশক্তি ও দৃষ্টিশক্তি নিয়ে নেন এবং তোমাদের অন্তরে সীলগালা করে দেন, তবে ছাড়া কোন্ আছে তোমাদের এগুলো ফিরিয়ে দেবে?’ দেখো, কিভাবে আমরা নিদর্শনসমূহ বিশদ বর্ণনা করছি। তা সত্ত্বেও তারা মুখ ফিরিয়ে নিচ্ছে।
Say: Have you considered if the chastisement of Allah should overtake you suddenly or openly, will any be destroyed but the unjust people?
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
বলো: ‘তোমরা ভেবে দেখেছো কি, আল্লাহর আযাব যদি হঠাৎ, কিংবা প্রকাশ্যে এসে পড়ে, তখন যালিম কওম ছাড়া আর কেউ হালাক হবে কি?
Transliteration
Qul araaytakum in atakum AAathabu Allahi baghtatan aw jahratan hal yuhlaku illa alqawmu alththalimoona
Shakir
And We send not apostles but as announcers of good news and givers of warning, then whoever believes and acts aright, they shall have no fear, nor shall they grieve.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
আমরা রসূলদের পাঠাই তো সুসংবাদদাতা ও সতর্ককারী হিসেবে। অতপর যারা ঈমান আনবে এবং আমলে সালেহ্ করবে, তাদের কোনো ভয়ও থাকবেনা, দুঃখও থাকবেনা।
Transliteration
Wama nursilu almursaleena illa mubashshireena wamunthireena faman amana waaslaha fala khawfun AAalayhim wala hum yahzanoona
Shakir
And (as for) those who reject Our communications, chastisement shall afflict them because they transgressed.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
আর যারা আমাদের আয়াতকে মিথ্যা বলে প্রত্যাখ্যান করবে, তাদের সীমালংঘনের কারণে তারা নিমজ্জিত হবে আযাবে।
Say: I do not say to you, I have with me the treasures of Allah, nor do I know the unseen, nor do I say to you that I am an angel; I do not follow aught save that which is revealed to me. Say: Are the blind and the seeing one alike? Do you not then reflect?
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
বলো: ‘আমি তোমাদের বলছিনা যে, আমার কাছে আল্লাহর ধনভান্ডার রয়েছে! গায়েবের এলেমও আমার নেই। তাছাড়া আমি তোমাদের একথাও বলছিনা যে, আমি একজন ফেরেশ্তা। আমি তো কেবল তারই অনুসরণ করি যা অহি করা হয় আমার প্রতি।’ বলো: অন্ধ আর চক্ষুষ্মান কি সমান?’ তোমরা কি চিন্তা করে দেখবেনা?
Transliteration
Qul la aqoolu lakum AAindee khazainu Allahi wala aAAlamu alghayba wala aqoolu lakum innee malakun in attabiAAu illa ma yooha ilayya qul hal yastawee alaAAma waalbaseeru afala tatafakkaroona
Shakir
And warn with it those who fear that they shall be gathered to their Lord - - there is no guardian for them, nor any intercessor besides Him - - that they may guard (against evil).
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তুমি তা (কুরআন) দিয়ে সেইসব লোকদের সতর্ক করো যারা তাদের প্রভুর কাছে হাশর হবার ভয়ে ভীত সন্ত্রস্ত থাকে। তিনি ছাড়া তাদের কোনো অলি কিংবা শাফায়াতকারী নেই। হয়তো তারা সতর্ক হবে।
Transliteration
Waanthir bihi allatheena yakhafoona an yuhsharoo ila rabbihim laysa lahum min doonihi waliyyun wala shafeeAAun laAAallahum yattaqoona
Shakir
And do not drive away those who call upon their Lord in the morning and the evening, they desire only His favor; neither are you answerable for any reckoning of theirs, nor are they answerable for any reckoning of yours, so that you should drive them away and thus be of the unjust.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
যারা তাদের প্রভুকে ডাকে সকাল ও সন্ধ্যায় তাঁর সন্তুষ্টি লাভের আশায়, তাদের তুমি তাড়িয়ে দিয়োনা। তাদের কাজের জবাবদিহির দায়িত্ব তোমার নয়, আর তোমার কোনো কাজের জবাবদিহির দায়িত্বও তাদের নয় যে, তুমি তাদের বিতাড়িত করবে। তা করলে তুমি যালিমদের মধ্যে শামিল হয়ে যাবে।
Transliteration
Wala tatrudi allatheena yadAAoona rabbahum bialghadati waalAAashiyyi yureedoona wajhahu ma AAalayka min hisabihim min shayin wama min hisabika AAalayhim min shayin fatatrudahum fatakoona mina alththalimeena
Shakir
And thus do We try some of them by others so that they say: Are these they upon whom Allah has conferred benefit from among us? Does not Allah best know the grateful?
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
এভাবেই আমরা তাদের একদল লোককে দিয়ে আরেক দলকে পরীক্ষা করেছি যাতে করে তারা বলে: ‘আমাদের মধ্যে কি এদেরকেই অনুগ্রহ করলেন?’ শোকরগুজার লোক কারা, তা কি অধিক জানেন না?
Transliteration
Wakathalika fatanna baAAdahum bibaAAdin liyaqooloo ahaolai manna Allahu AAalayhim min baynina alaysa Allahu biaAAlama bialshshakireena
Shakir
And when those who believe in Our communications come to you, say: Peace be on you, your Lord has ordained mercy on Himself, (so) that if any one of you does evil in ignorance, then turns after that and acts aright, then He is Forgiving, Merciful.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
আমাদের আয়াতের প্রতি যারা ঈমান আনে তারা যখন তোমার কাছে আসে, তুমি তাদের বলবে: ‘সালামুন আলাইকুম - তোমাদের প্রতি শান্তি বর্ষিত হোক।’ তোমাদের প্রভু দয়া করাকে নিজের কর্তব্য বলে লিখে নিয়েছেন। তোমাদের কেউ যদি অজ্ঞতাবশত বদ আমল করে, তারপর তওবা করে এবং নিজেকে এসলাহ্ (সংশোধন) করে নেয়, তবে (তার প্রতি) পরম ক্ষমাশীল দয়াময়।
Transliteration
Waitha jaaka allatheena yuminoona biayatina faqul salamun AAalaykum kataba rabbukum AAala nafsihi alrrahmata annahu man AAamila minkum sooan bijahalatin thumma taba min baAAdihi waaslaha faannahu ghafoorun raheemun
Shakir
And thus do We make distinct the communications and so that the way of the guilty may become clear.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
এভাবেই আমরা তফসিল সহকারে বর্ণনা করি আয়াত, যাতে করে সুস্পষ্টভাবে প্রকাশ ও প্রমাণ হয়ে যায় অপরাধীদের পথ।
Say: I am forbidden to serve those whom you call upon besides Allah. Say: I do not follow your low desires. for then indeed I should have gone astray and I should not be of those who go aright.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
হে নবী! বলো: ‘তোমরা ছাড়া আর যাদের ডাকো, আমাকে নিষেধ করা হয়েছে তাদের ইবাদত করতে।’ বলো ‘আমি ইত্তেবা (অনুসরণ) করিনা তোমাদের খেয়াল খুশির, তা করলে তো আমি গোমরাহ হয়ে পড়বো এবং আমি হিদায়াত প্রাপ্ত লোকদের মধ্যে শামিল থাকবোনা।’
Transliteration
Qul innee nuheetu an aAAbuda allatheena tadAAoona min dooni Allahi qul la attabiAAu ahwaakum qad dalaltu ithan wama ana mina almuhtadeena
Shakir
Say: Surely I have manifest proof from my Lord and you call it a lie; I have not with me that which you would hasten; the judgment is only Allah's; He relates the truth and He is the best of deciders.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
বলো: ‘অবশ্যি আমি আমার প্রভুর সুস্পষ্ট প্রমাণের উপর প্রতিষ্ঠিত আছি, অথচ তোমরা তা প্রত্যাখ্যান করছো। তোমরা যা নগদ চাইছো তা আমার কাছে নেই। কারোই কোনো কর্তৃত্ব নেই আল্লাহর ছাড়া। তিনি সত্য বর্ণনা করেন এবং তিনিই সর্বোত্তম ফায়সালাকারী।’
Transliteration
Qul innee AAala bayyinatin min rabbee wakaththabtum bihi ma AAindee ma tastaAAjiloona bihi ini alhukmu illa lillahi yaqussu alhaqqa wahuwa khayru alfasileena
Shakir
Say: If that which you desire to hasten were with me, the matter would have certainly been decided between you and me; and Allah best knows the unjust.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তোমরা যে জিনিসটা নগদ চাইছো তা যদি আমার হাতে থাকতো, তাহলে আমার এবং তোমাদের মধ্যকার বিষয়টি ফায়সালাই হয়ে যেতো। আল্লাহ্ই অধিক জানেন যালিমদের।
Transliteration
Qul law anna AAindee ma tastaAAjiloona bihi laqudiya alamru baynee wabaynakum waAllahu aAAlamu bialththalimeena
Shakir
And with Him are the keys of the unseen treasures - - none knows them but He; and He knows what is in the land and the sea, and there falls not a leaf but He knows it, nor a grain in the darkness of the earth, nor anything green nor dry but (it is all) in a clear book.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
- এর চাবি তো তাঁরই কাছে। তিনি ছাড়া তা আর কেউই জানেনা। তিনি জানেন যা কিছু আছে স্থলে এবং সমুদ্রে। গাছের একটি পাতাও পড়েনা তাঁর অবগতি ছাড়া। একটি বীজও অংকুরিত হয়না অন্ধকার ভূ - গর্ভে, অথবা রসযুক্ত বা শুকনো কোনো বস্ত্ত নেই যা একটি সুস্পষ্ট কিতাবে লিপিবদ্ধ নয়।
Transliteration
WaAAindahu mafatihu alghaybi la yaAAlamuha illa huwa wayaAAlamu ma fee albarri waalbahri wama tasqutu min waraqatin illa yaAAlamuha walahabbatin fee thulumati alardi wala ratbin wala yabisin illa fee kitabin mubeenin
Shakir
And He it is Who takes your souls at night (in sleep), and He knows what you acquire in the day, then He raises you up therein that an appointed term may be fulfilled; then to Him is your return, then He will inform you of what you were doing.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তিনিই রাতের কালে তোমাদের মৃত্যু দেন এবং তিনি জানেন দিনের বেলায় তোমরা যা করো। তারপর তিনি তোমাদের জাগিয়ে তোলেন যাতে করে নির্ধারিত সময় পূর্ণ হয়। এরপর তাঁর কাছেই তোমাদের ফিরে যেতে হবে এবং তিনি তোমাদের অবগত করবেন তোমাদের কৃতকর্ম সম্পর্কে।
And He is the Supreme, above His servants, and He sends keepers over you; until when death comes to one of you, Our apostles cause him to die, and they are not remiss.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
নিজ বান্দাদের উপর তিনি দুর্জয় ক্ষমতাধর। তিনি তোমাদের উপর রক্ষক পাঠান। অবশেষে যখন তোমাদের কারো মৃত্যুর সময় হয়, তখন আমার প্রেরিত (ফেরেশতারা) তার মৃত্যু ঘটায় এবং তারা কোনোই ত্রুটি করেনা।
Transliteration
Wahuwa alqahiru fawqa AAibadihi wayursilu AAalaykum hafathatan hatta itha jaa ahadakumu almawtu tawaffathu rusuluna wahum la yufarritoona
Shakir
Then are they sent back to Allah, their Master, the True one; now surely His is the judgment and He is swiftest in taking account.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তারপর তাদের ফেরত পাঠানো হয় তাদের প্রকৃত মাওলা আল্লাহর কাছে। জেনে রাখো, সমস্ত কর্তৃত্ব কেবল তাঁরই। আর হিসাব গ্রহণে তিনি সবচেয়ে দ্রুততর।
Transliteration
Thumma ruddoo ila Allahi mawlahumu alhaqqi ala lahu alhukmu wahuwa asraAAu alhasibeena
Shakir
Say: Who is it that delivers you from the dangers of the land and the sea (when) you call upon Him (openly) humiliating yourselves, and in secret: If He delivers us from this, we should certainly be of the grateful ones.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
বলো: ‘কে তোমাদের নাজাত দেয় ভূ - খন্ড ও সমুদ্রের অন্ধকার (বিপদ) থেকে, যখন তোমরা কেবল তাঁকেই ডাকো বিনত হয়ে এবং গোপনে?’ যখন তোমরা বলো: ‘তিনি যদি এ থেকে আমাদের নাজাত দেন, তবে অবশ্যি আমরা শোকর গোজার হবো।’
Transliteration
Qul man yunajjeekum min thulumati albarri waalbahri tadAAoonahu tadarruAAan wakhufyatan lain anjana min hathihi lanakoonanna mina alshshakireena
Shakir
Say: Allah delivers you from them and from every distress, but again you set up others (with Him).
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
বলো: ‘আল্লাহ্ই তোমাদের নাজাত দেন তা থেকে এবং সব দুঃখ কষ্ট থেকেই। তারপরও তোমরা তাঁর সাথে শরিক করো।’
Say: He has the power that He should send on you a chastisement from above you or from beneath your feet, or that He should throw you into confusion, (making you) of different parties; and make some of you taste the fighting of others. See how We repeat the communications that they may understand.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
বলো: ‘তিনি সক্ষম উপর থেকে তোমাদের প্রতি আযাব পাঠাতে, অথবা তোমাদের পদতল থেকে, কিংবা তোমাদেরকে বিভিন্ন দলে বিভক্ত করতে এবং পরস্পরের বিরুদ্ধে সংঘর্ষ বাধিয়ে দেয়ার স্বাদ আস্বাদন করাতে। দেখো, আমরা কিভাবে আয়াত সমূহ বর্ণনা করছি যাতে করে তারা বুঝে।
Transliteration
Qul huwa alqadiru AAala an yabAAatha AAalaykum AAathaban min fawqikum aw min tahti arjulikum aw yalbisakum shiyaAAan wayutheeqa baAAdakum basa baAAdin onthur kayfa nusarrifu alayati laAAallahum yafqahoona
Shakir
And your people call it a lie and it is the very truth. Say: I am not placed in charge of you.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
অথচ মহাসত্য হওয়া সত্ত্বেও তোমার কওম তা অস্বীকার করছে। বলো: আমি তোমাদের উকিল নই।
For every prophecy is a term, and you will come to know (it).
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
প্রতিটি সংবাদেরই একটি নির্দিষ্ট মেয়াদ রয়েছে এবং অচিরেই তোমরা জানতে পারবে।
Transliteration
Likulli nabain mustaqarrun wasawfa taAAlamoona
Shakir
And when you see those who enter into false discourses about Our communications, withdraw from them until they enter into some other discourse, and if the Shaitan causes you to forget, then do not sit after recollection with the unjust people.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তুমি যখন দেখবে, তারা আমার আয়াত সমূহ নিয়ে বিদ্রুপাত্মক আলোচনায় লিপ্ত, তখন তুমি তাদের থেকে সরে যাও, যতোক্ষণ না তারা কথার প্রসঙ্গ পাল্টায়। শয়তান যদি তোমাকে ভুলিয়ে দেয়, তবে স্মরণ হবার পর যালিমদের সাথে আর বসবেনা।
And nought of the reckoning of their (deeds) shall be against those who guard (against evil), but (theirs) is only to remind, haply they may guard.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তাদের কোনো কাজের হিসাব দেয়া তাকওয়া অবলম্বনকারীদের দায়িত্ব নয়। তবে তাদের কর্তব্য উপদেশ দেয়া, যাতে করে ওরাও তাকওয়া অবলম্বন করে।
Transliteration
Wama AAala allatheena yattaqoona min hisabihim min shayin walakin thikra laAAallahum yattaqoona
Shakir
And leave those who have taken their religion for a play and an idle sport, and whom this world's life has deceived, and remind (them) thereby lest a soul should be given up to destruction for what it has earned; it shall not have besides Allah any guardian nor an intercessor, and if it should seek to give every compensation, it shall not be accepted from it; these are they who shall be given up to destruction for what they earned; they shall have a drink of boiling water and a painful chastisement because they disbelieved.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
যারা তাদের দীনকে খেল তামাশা হিসেবে গ্রহণ করে এবং যাদেরকে প্রতারিত করে রাখে দুনিয়ার জীবন, তুমি তাদের সংগ ত্যাগ করো এবং এ (কুরআন) নিয়ে তাদের উপদেশ দিতে থাকো, যাতে করে কেউ নিজ কৃতকর্মের কারণে ধ্বংস হয়ে না যায়। তার জন্যে তো ছাড়া কোনো অলি এবং সুপারিশকারী নেই। আর তারা মুক্তির বিনিময়ে সব কিছু দিলেও তা গ্রহণ করা হবেনা। এরা হলো সেইসব লোক যারা নিজেদের কৃতকর্মের জন্যে ধ্বংস হবে। তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে প্রচন্ড গরম পানি আর বেদনাদায়ক আযাব তাদের কুফুরির কারণে।
Say: Shall we call on that besides Allah, which does not benefit us nor harm us, and shall we be returned back on our heels after Allah has guided us, like him whom the Shaitans have made to fall down perplexed in the earth? He has companions who call him to the right way, (saying): Come to us. Say: Surely the guidance of Allah, that is the (true) guidance, and we are commanded that we should submit to the Lord of the worlds.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
বলো: আমরা কি ছাড়া এমন কিছুকে (ইলাহ্ হিসেবে) ডাকবো, যেগুলো আমাদের না কোনো লাভ করতে পারে, আর না ক্ষতি? আমাদের হিদায়াত করার পর আমরা কি আবার ঐ ব্যক্তির মতো পেছনে ফিরে যাবো যাকে শয়তান পৃথিবীতে পথ ভুলিয়ে হয়রান করে ফেলেছে? অথচ তার সাথিরা তাকে সঠিক পথের দিকে ডেকে বলে: ‘এসো আমাদের কাছে।’ বলো: ‘আল্লাহর হিদায়াতই একমাত্র হিদায়াত এবং আমাদের নির্দেশ দেয়া হয়েছে আমরা যেনো রাববুল আলামিনের প্রতি আত্মসমর্পণ করি।’
Transliteration
Qul anadAAoo min dooni Allahi ma la yanfaAAuna wala yadurruna wanuraddu AAala aAAqabina baAAda ith hadana Allahu kaallatheeistahwathu alshshayateenu fee alardi hayrana lahu ashabun yadAAoonahu ila alhuda itina qul inna huda Allahi huwa alhuda waomirna linuslima lirabbi alAAalameena
Shakir
And that you should keep up prayer and be careful of (your duty to) Him; and He it is to Whom you shall be gathered.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
আমাদের আরো নির্দেশ দেয়া হয়েছে: ‘ কায়েম করো এবং তাঁর অবাধ্য হওয়া থেকে আত্মরক্ষা করো। আর তাঁরই কাছে তোমাদের হাশর করা হবে।’
And He it is Who has created the heavens and the earth with truth, and on the day He says: Be, it is. His word is the truth, and His is the kingdom on the day when the trumpet shall be blown; the Knower of the unseen and the seen; and He is the Wise, the Aware.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তিনিই সৃষ্টি করেছেন মহাকাশ আর পৃথিবী, এ এক মহাসত্য। যখন তিনি বলেন: ‘হও’, সাথে সাথে হয়ে যায়। তাঁর কথা মহাসত্য। সেদিন সমস্ত কর্তৃত্ব থাকবে তাঁরই হাতে, যেদিন ফু দেয়া হবে শিঙায়। তিনি গায়েবের জ্ঞানী এবং হাজিরেরও। তিনি বিজ্ঞানময় ও সব বিষয়ে অবহিত।
And when Ibrahim said to his sire, Azar: Do you take idols for gods? Surely I see you and your people in manifest error.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
স্মরণ করো, ইবরাহিম তার বাপ আযরকে বলেছিল: ‘আপনি কি মূর্তিকে ইলাহ্ মানেন? আমার মতে আপনি এবং আপনার কওম সুস্পষ্ট গোমরাহিতে নিমজ্জিত।’
Transliteration
Waith qala ibraheemu liabeehi azara atattakhithu asnaman alihatan innee araka waqawmaka fee dalalin mubeenin
Shakir
And thus did We show Ibrahim the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and that he might be of those who are sure.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
এভাবেই আমরা ইবরাহিমকে মহাকাশ এবং পৃথিবীর পরিচালন ব্যবস্থা দেখিয়েছি, যাতে করে সে দৃঢ় বিশ্বাসীদের একজন হয়।
Transliteration
Wakathalika nuree ibraheema malakoota alssamawati waalardi waliyakoona mina almooqineena

So when the night over - shadowed him, he saw a star; said he: Is this my Lord? So when it set, he said: I do not love the setting ones.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তারপর যখন তার উপর ছেয়ে এলো রাতের আঁধার, সে একটি নক্ষত্র দেখে বললো: ‘এই আমার রব।’ কিন্তু সেটি যখন অস্ত গেলো, সে বললো: ‘অস্ত যাওয়াদের আমি পছন্দ করিনা।’
Transliteration
Falamma janna AAalayhi allaylu raa kawkaban qala hatha rabbee falamma afala qala la ohibbu alafileena
Shakir
Then when he saw the moon rising, he said: Is this my Lord? So when it set, he said: If my Lord had not guided me I should certainly be of the erring people.

পরে যখন সে দেখলো উজ্জ্বল চাঁদ উদয় হয়েছে, সে বললো: ‘এ - ই আমার রব।’ অতপর চাঁদও যখন অস্ত গেলো, সে বললো: ‘আমার রবই যদি আমাকে সঠিক পথ না দেখান, তাহলে অবশ্যি আমি বিপথগামী লোকদের অন্তরভুক্ত হয়ে যাবো।’
Transliteration
Falamma raa alqamara bazighan qala hatha rabbee falamma afala qala lain lam yahdinee rabbee laakoonanna mina alqawmi alddalleena
Shakir
Then when he saw the sun rising, he said: Is this my Lord? Is this the greatest? So when it set, he said: O my people! surely I am clear of what you set up (with Allah).
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
অতপর যখন সে দীপ্ত সূর্যকে উদয় হতে দেখলো, বললো: ‘এই হবে আমার রব। এতো সবার বড়।’ কিন্তু যখন সেও অস্ত গেলো, এবার সে (ইবরাহিম) বললো: ‘হে আমার কওম! তোমরা যাদেরকে (আল্লাহর সাথে) শরিক করছো আমি তাদের সাথে সম্পর্ক ছিন্ন করলাম।
Transliteration
Falamma raa alshshamsa bazighatan qala hatha rabbee hatha akbaru falamma afalat qala ya qawmi innee bareeon mimma tushrikoona
Shakir
Surely I have turned myself, being upright, wholly to Him Who originated the heavens and the earth, and I am not of the polytheists.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
আমি নিষ্ঠার সাথে আমার মুখ ফিরালাম সেই মহান সত্তার জন্যে যিনি সৃষ্টি করেছেন মহাকাশ এবং পৃথিবী। আমি মুশরিকদের অন্তরভুক্ত নই।’
Transliteration
Innee wajjahtu wajhiya lillathee fatara alssamawati waalarda haneefan wama ana mina almushrikeena
Shakir
And his people disputed with him. He said: Do you dispute with me respecting Allah? And He has guided me indeed; and I do not fear in any way those that you set up with Him, unless my Lord pleases; my Lord comprehends all things in His knowledge; will you not then mind?
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তখন তার কওম তার সাথে বিতর্কে লিপ্ত হয়। সে তাদের বলেছিল: ‘তোমরা কি আল্লাহর ব্যাপারে আমার সাথে তর্ক করছো? অথচ তিনি আমাকে হিদায়াত দান করেছেন। তোমরা তাঁর সাথে যাদের শরিক করছো আমি তাদের ভয় করিনা, তবে আমার প্রভুই যদি কিছু চান সেটা ভিন্ন কথা। সব কিছুর উপর আমার প্রভুর জ্ঞান পরিব্যাপ্ত। তোমরা কি বুঝার চেষ্টা করবেনা?’
Transliteration
Wahajjahu qawmuhu qala atuhajjoonnee fee Allahi waqad hadani wala akhafu ma tushrikoona bihi illa an yashaa rabbee shayan wasiAAa rabbee kulla shayin AAilman afala tatathakkaroona
Shakir
And how should I fear what you have set up (with Him), while you do not fear that you have set up with Allah that for which He has not sent down to you any authority; which then of the two parties is surer of security, if you know?
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তোমরা যাদেরকে (আল্লাহর সাথে) শরিক করছো আমি কী করে তাদের ভয় করতে পারি! তোমরা তো মহান আল্লাহর সাথে শরিক করতে ভয় করছোনা, অথচ তাদেরকে আল্লাহর শরিক বানানোর ব্যাপারে তোমাদেরকে কোনো সার্টিফিকেট দেয়া হয়নি। সুতরাং তোমাদের যদি বুঝ - জ্ঞান থাকে তবে বলো: ‘কোন্ পক্ষ নিরাপত্তা লাভের বেশি হকদার?’
Transliteration
Wakayfa akhafu ma ashraktum wala takhafoona annakum ashraktum biAllahi ma lam yunazzil bihi AAalaykum sultanan faayyu alfareeqayni ahaqqu bialamni in kuntum taAAlamoona
Shakir
Those who believe and do not mix up their faith with iniquity, those are they who shall have the security and they are those who go aright.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
যারা ঈমান আনে এবং ঈমানকে যুলুম (শিরক) মিশ্রিত করে কলুষিত করেনা, তাদের জন্যেই রয়েছে নিরাপত্তা, আর তারাই হিদায়াত প্রাপ্ত।
And this was Our argument which we gave to Ibrahim against his people; We exalt in dignity whom We please; surely your Lord is Wise, Knowing.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
আমরা ইবরাহিমকে তার কওমের মোকাবেলায় এসব যুক্তি প্রমাণ প্রদান করেছিলাম। আমরা যাকে চাই অনেক উঁচু মর্যাদা দিয়ে থাকি। নিশ্চয়ই তোমার প্রভু প্রজ্ঞাবান, জ্ঞানী।
And We gave to him Ishaq and Yaqoub; each did We guide, and Nuh did We guide before, and of his descendants, Dawood and Sulaiman and Ayub and Yusuf and Musa and Haroun; and thus do We reward those who do good (to others).
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
আর আমরা তাকে দান করেছিলাম (পুত্র) ইসহাক এবং (নাতি) ইয়াকুবকে। তাদের প্রত্যেককেই আমরা হিদায়াতের উপর পরিচালিত করেছি। এর আগে আমরা নূহকেও হিদায়াতের উপর পরিচালিত করেছি আর তার বংশধর দাউদ, সুলাইমান, আইয়ুব, ইউসুফ এবং মূসা আর হারূণকেও। এভাবেই আমরা পুরস্কার দিয়ে থাকি কল্যাণ পরায়ণদের।
This is Allah's guidance, He guides thereby whom He pleases of His servants; and if they had set up others (with Him), certainly what they did would have become ineffectual for them.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
এ হলো আল্লাহর হিদায়াত, তিনি তাঁর বান্দাদের যাকে চান এর ভিত্তিতে পরিচালিত করেন। তারা যদি শিরক করতো, অবশ্যি নিষ্ফল হয়ে যেতো তাদের সমস্ত আমল।
Transliteration
Thalika huda Allahi yahdee bihi man yashao min AAibadihi walaw ashrakoo lahabita AAanhum ma kanoo yaAAmaloona
Shakir
These are they to whom We gave the book and the wisdom and the prophecy; therefore if these disbelieve in it We have already entrusted with it a people who are not disbelievers in it.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
এরা ছিলো সেইসব লোক, যাদেরকে আমরা দান করেছিলাম কিতাব, প্রজ্ঞা এবং নবুয়্যত। এখন যদি এরা এগুলোর প্রতি কুফুরিও করে, তবে আমরা তো এগুলোর দায়িত্ব এমন একদল লোকের উপর অর্পণ করেছি যারা এগুলোর প্রতি নয়।
These are they whom Allah guided, therefore follow their guidance. Say: I do not ask you for any reward for it; it is nothing but a reminder to the nations.

তাদেরকে হিদায়াতের উপর পরিচালিত করেছেন, সুতরাং তুমিও তাদের পথের অনুসরণ করো। তুমি বলো: ‘আমি তো একাজের জন্যে তোমাদের কাছে কোনো পারিশ্রমিক চাইনা। এ (কুরআন)টা তো জগতবাসীর জন্যে উপদেশ ছাড়া আর কিছুই নয়।
Transliteration
Olaika allatheena hada Allahu fabihudahumu iqtadih qul la asalukum AAalayhi ajran in huwa illathikra lilAAalameena
Shakir
And they do not assign to Allah the attributes due to Him when they say: Allah has not revealed anything to a mortal. Say: Who revealed the Book which Musa brought, a light and a guidance to men, which you make into scattered writings which you show while you conceal much? And you were taught what you did not know, (neither) you nor your fathers. Say: Allah then leave them sporting in their vain discourses.

তারা আল্লাহকে তাঁর প্রকৃত মর্যাদাই প্রদান করেনি, যখন তারা বলে: ‘ একজন মানুষের কাছে কিছুই নাযিল করেননি।’ তুমি বলো: ‘তাহলে মূসা যে কিতাব নিয়ে এসেছিল তা কে নাযিল করেছে? যা ছিলো আলো এবং মানুষের জন্যে হিদায়াত। তোমরা যার কিছু অংশ কাগজে লিখে প্রকাশ করো আর অনেকাংশই করো গোপন। আর তোমাদেরকে (সেই কিতাবের মাধ্যমে) তাও শিক্ষা দেয়া হয়েছিল যা তোমরা এবং তোমাদের পূর্ব পুরুষরা জানতেনা?’ বলো ‘আল্লাহ্ই’ (তা নাযিল করেছেন)। ব্যাস্, এখন তাদেরকে তাদের অর্থহীন কথাবার্তার খেলায় নিমগ্ন থাকতে দাও।
Transliteration
Wama qadaroo Allaha haqqa qadrihi ith qaloo ma anzala Allahu AAala basharin min shayin qul man anzala alkitaba allathee jaa bihi moosa nooran wahudan lilnnasi tajAAaloonahu qarateesa tubdoonaha watukhfoona katheeran waAAullimtum ma lam taAAlamoo antum walaabaokum quli Allahu thumma tharhum fee khawdihim yalAAaboona
Shakir
And this is a Book We have revealed, blessed, verifying that which is before it, and that you may warn the metropolis and those around her; and those who believe in the hereafter believe in it, and they attend to their prayers constantly.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
আর এই মুবারক কিতাব (আল কুরআন) আমরা নাযিল করেছি। এটি তার পূর্বের কিতাবের সত্যায়নকারী আর এর ভিত্তিতে যেনো তুমি উম্মুল কোরা (মক্কা) এবং তার আশ্ পাশের লোকদের সতর্ক করো। যারা আখিরাতে তারা এর প্রতি ঈমান রাখে এবং তারা তাদের সালাতের হিফাযত করে।
And who is more unjust than he who forges a lie against Allah, or says: It has been revealed to me; while nothing has been revealed to him, and he who says: I can reveal the like of what Allah has revealed? and if you had seen when the unjust shall be in the agonies of death and the angels shall spread forth their hands: Give up your souls; today shall you be recompensed with an ignominious chastisement because you spoke against Allah other than the truth and (because) you showed pride against His communications.

ঐ ব্যক্তির চাইতে বড় যালিম আর কে, যে মিথ্যা রচনা করে আল্লাহর উপর আরোপ করে, কিংবা বলে, ‘আমার কাছে অহি আসে’, অথচ তার কাছে কোনো অহিই আসেনা, আর ঐ ব্যক্তিও, যে বলে যা নাযিল করেছেন আমিও তা নাযিল করবো?’ তুমি যদি দেখতে এই যালিমরা যখন মৃত্যু যন্ত্রণায় কাতরাবে আর ফেরেশতারা হাত বাড়িয়ে বলবে: ‘বের করো তোমাদের প্রাণ। আজ প্রয়োগ করা হবে তোমাদের উপর অপমানকর আযাব, কারণ তোমরা আল্লাহর উপর আরোপ করতে না হক কথা আর আল্লাহর আয়াত নিয়ে প্রকাশ করতে ঔদ্ধত্য।’
And certainly you have come to Us alone as We created you at first, and you have left behind your backs the things which We gave you, and We do not see with you your intercessors about whom you asserted that they were (Allah's) associates in respect to you; certainly the ties between you are now cut off and what you asserted is gone from you.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তোমরা তো আমাদের কাছে একা একাই এসেছো যেমন আমরা তোমাদের সৃষ্টি করেছিলাম প্রথমবার, আর তোমাদেরকে যা দিয়েছিলাম সবই তো পেছনে ফেলে এসেছো! কই তোমাদের সাথে তো তোমাদের শাফায়াতকারীদের দেখছিনা, যাদেরকে তোমাদের ব্যাপারে (আল্লাহর) শরিকদার মনে করতে? তোমাদের মধ্যকার সম্পর্ক ছিন্ন হয়ে গেছে এবং তোমরা যা ধারণা করছিলে সবই হয়ে গেছে উধাও।
Transliteration
Walaqad jitumoona furada kama khalaqnakum awwala marratin wataraktum ma khawwalnakum waraa thuhoorikum wama nara maAAakum shufaAAaakumu allatheena zaAAamtum annahum feekum shurakao laqad taqattaAAa baynakum wadalla AAankum ma kuntum tazAAumoona
Shakir
Surely Allah causes the grain and the stone to germinate; He brings forth the living from the dead and He is the bringer forth of the dead from the living; that is Allah! how are you then turned away.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
আল্লাহ্ই অংকুরিত করেন শস্য - বীজ এবং আঁটি। তিনি মৃত থেকে জীবিতকে বের করে আনেন এবং মৃতকে বের করে আনেন জীবন্তের থেকে। তিনিই । সুতরাং কোথায় ফিরে যাচ্ছো তোমরা?
Transliteration
Inna Allaha faliqu alhabbi waalnnawa yukhriju alhayya mina almayyiti wamukhriju almayyiti mina alhayyi thalikumu Allahu faanna tufakoona
Shakir
He causes the dawn to break; and He has made the night for rest, and the sun and the moon for reckoning; this is an arrangement of the Mighty, the Knowing.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তিনিই (রাতের বুক চিরে) ভোরের উন্মেষ ঘটান। তিনিই বানিয়েছেন তোমাদের বিশ্রামের জন্যে রাত আর হিসাবের জন্যে সূর্য আর চাঁদ। এসবই মহাপরাক্রমশালী ও মহাজ্ঞানীর নির্ধারিত।
And He it is Who has made the stars for you that you might follow the right way thereby in the darkness of the land and the sea; truly We have made plain the communications for a people who know.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তিনিই তোমাদের জন্যে নক্ষত্রকে বানিয়েছেন স্থল ও সমুদ্রের অন্ধকারে পথ প্রদর্শক। যেসব লোক জ্ঞান রাখে তাদের জন্যে আমরা নিদর্শন বর্ণনা করেছি বিশদভাবে।
And He it is Who has brought you into being from a single soul, then there is (for you) a resting - place and a depository; indeed We have made plain the communications for a people who understand.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তিনিই তোমাদের সৃষ্টি করেছেন এক ব্যক্তি থেকে। তারপর তোমাদের জন্যে রয়েছে স্থায়ী ও সাময়িক ঠিকানা। যারা বুঝ ও বোধের অধিকারী তাদের জন্যে আমরা নিদর্শন বর্ণনা করেছি বিশদভাবে।
Transliteration
Wahuwa allathee anshaakum min nafsin wahidatin famustaqarrun wamustawdaAAun qad fassalna alayati liqawmin yafqahoona
Shakir
And He it is Who sends down water from the cloud, then We bring forth with it buds of all (plants), then We bring forth from it green (foliage) from which We produce grain piled up (in the ear); and of the palm - tree, of the sheaths of it, come forth clusters (of dates) within reach, and gardens of grapes and olives and pomegranates, alike and unlike; behold the fruit of it when it yields the fruit and the ripening of it; most surely there are signs in this for a people who believe.

তিনিই আসমান থেকে নাযিল করেন পানি। তা দিয়ে আমরা সব ধরণের উদ্ভিদ উদগত করি। তা থেকে আমরা সবুজ পাতা বের করে আনি। তা থেকে উৎপন্ন করি ঘন নিবিড় শস্যদানা। খেজুর গাছের মাথা থেকে বের করে আনি ঝুলন্ত কাঁদি। উৎপন্ন করি আংগুরের বাগান, যয়তুন ও আনার, একই রকম ও বিভিন্ন রকম। লক্ষ্য করে দেখো, এর ফলের প্রতি, যখন তা ফলবান হয় এবং যখন তা পাকে। যারা ঈমান রাখে তাদের জন্যে এতে রয়েছে অনেক নিদর্শন।
Transliteration
Wahuwa allathee anzala mina alssamai maan faakhrajna bihi nabata kulli shayin faakhrajna minhu khadiran nukhriju minhu habban mutarakiban wamina alnnakhli min talAAiha qinwanun daniyatun wajannatin min aAAnabin waalzzaytoona waalrrummana mushtabihan waghayra mutashabihin onthuroo ila thamarihi itha athmara wayanAAihi inna fee thalikum laayatin liqawmin yuminoona

And they make the jinn associates with Allah, while He created them, and they falsely attribute to Him sons and daughters without knowledge; glory be to Him, and highly exalted is He above what they ascribe (to Him).
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তারা জিনকে আল্লাহর শরিক বানায়, অথচ তিনিই তাদের সৃষ্টি করেছেন। আর না জেনেই তারা আল্লাহর প্রতি পুত্র কন্যা আরোপ করে। তারা যা আরোপ করে তা থেকে তিনি মুক্ত - পবিত্র এবং অনেক উর্ধ্বে।
Wonderful Originator of the heavens and the earth! How could He have a son when He has no consort, and He (Himself) created everything, and He is the Knower of all things.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তিনি তো মহাবিশ্ব এবং এই পৃথিবীর স্রষ্টা। কী করে থাকতে পারে তাঁর সন্তান? তাঁর তো স্ত্রীও থাকতে পারেনা। কারণ, সব কিছু তো তিনিই সৃষ্টি করেছেন। প্রতিটি বিষয়ে তিনি জ্ঞাত।
That is Allah, your Lord, there is no god but He; the Creator of all things, therefore serve Him, and He has charge of all things.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তিনি , তোমাদের প্রভু। কোনো ইলাহ্ নেই তিনি ছাড়া। প্রতিটি জিনিসের তিনি স্রষ্টা। সুতরাং তোমরা কেবল তাঁরই ইবাদত করো। প্রতিটি জিনিসের উপর তিনি উকিল - তত্ত্বাবধায়ক।
Transliteration
Thalikumu Allahu rabbukum la ilaha illa huwa khaliqu kulli shayin faoAAbudoohu wahuwa AAala kulli shayin wakeelun
Shakir
Vision comprehends Him not, and He comprehends (all) vision; and He is the Knower of subtleties, the Aware.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
কোনো দৃষ্টি তাঁকে ধারণ করতে পারেনা, কিন্তু তিনি ধারণ করেন সব দৃষ্টি। আর তিনি সুক্ষ্মদর্শী, সব বিষয়ের খবর রাখেন।
Transliteration
La tudrikuhu alabsaru wahuwa yudriku alabsara wahuwa allateefu alkhabeeru
Shakir
Indeed there have come to you clear proofs from your Lord; whoever will therefore see, it is for his own soul and whoever will be blind, it shall be against himself and I am not a keeper over you.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তোমাদের প্রভুর পক্ষ থেকে তোমাদের কাছে এসেছে সুস্পষ্ট প্রমাণ। সুতরাং যে দেখবে, সে নিজেরই কল্যাণ করবে, আর যে অন্ধতার পথ বেছে নেবে সে নিজেকেই ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত করবে। (হে নবী! তাদের বলো:) ‘আমি তোমাদের উপর হিফাযতকারী নই।’
Transliteration
Qad jaakum basairu min rabbikum faman absara falinafsihi waman AAamiya faAAalayha wama ana AAalaykum bihafeethin
Shakir
And thus do We repeat the communications and that they may say: You have read; and that We may make it clear to a people who know.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
এমনি করেই আমরা বিভিন্নভাবে বর্ণনা করি নিদর্শন। তারা বলে: ‘তুমি কারো কাছ থেকে পড়ে নিয়েছো।’ আমি জ্ঞানী লোকদের জন্যে (নিদর্শন) বর্ণনা করি স্পষ্টভাবে।
Follow what is revealed to you from your Lord; there is no god but He; and withdraw from the polytheists.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তোমার প্রভুর পক্ষ থেকে তোমার কাছে যা অহি করা হয় তুমি কেবল তারই অনুসরণ করো, তিনি ছাড়া কোনো ইলাহ্ (হুকুমকর্তা) নেই। মুশরিকদের উপেক্ষা করে চলো।
Transliteration
IttabiAA ma oohiya ilayka min rabbika la ilaha illa huwa waaAArid AAani almushrikeena
Shakir
And if Allah had pleased, they would not have set up others (with Him) and We have not appointed you a keeper over them, and you are not placed in charge of them.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
চাইলে তারা শিরক করতোনা। আমরা তোমাকে তাদের উপর রক্ষক নিযুক্ত করিনি এবং তাদের উপর তোমাকে উকিলও নিয়োগ করিনি।
And do not abuse those whom they call upon besides Allah, lest exceeding the limits they should abuse Allah out of ignorance. Thus have We made fair seeming to every people their deeds; then to their Lord shall be their return, so He will inform them of what they did.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তারা ছাড়া যাদেরকে ডাকে তোমরা তাদের গালি দিওনা, তাহলে তারাও না জেনে সীমালংঘন করে আল্লাহকে গালি দিয়ে বসবে। এভাবেই আমরা প্রত্যেক উম্মতের জন্যে সুশোভিত করে দিয়েছি তাদের কর্মকান্ডকে। তারপর তাদের প্রভুর কাছেই তাদের প্রত্যাবর্তন হবে, তখন তিনি তাদের সংবাদ দেবেন - তারা কী আমল করতো।
Transliteration
Wala tasubboo allatheena yadAAoona min dooni Allahi fayasubboo Allaha AAadwan bighayri AAilmin kathalika zayyanna likulli ommatin AAamalahum thumma ila rabbihim marjiAAuhum fayunabbiohum bima kanoo yaAAmaloona
Shakir
And they swear by Allah with the strongest of their oaths, that if a sign came to them they would most certainly believe in it. Say: Signs are only with Allah; and what should make you know that when it comes they will not believe?
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তারা আল্লাহর নামে কঠোর শপথ করে বলে, তাদের জন্যে যদি কোনো নিদর্শন আসতো, তবে অবশ্যি তারা ঈমান আনতো। বলো: নিদর্শন পাঠানো তো আল্লাহর ব্যাপার। তোমাদের কিভাবে বুঝানো যাবে যে, নিদর্শন এলেও তারা ঈমান আনতোনা।
And We will turn their hearts and their sights, even as they did not believe in it the first time, and We will leave them in their inordinacy, blindly wandering on.

আমরা তাদের অন্তর এবং দৃষ্টি পরিবর্তন করে দেবো, যেভাবে তারা প্রথমবারেই ঈমান আনেনি এবং তাদেরকে অবাধ্যতার মধ্যে বিভ্রান্তের মতো ঘুরে বেড়াতে ছেড়ে দেবো।
And even if We had sent down to them the angels and the dead had spoken to them and We had brought together all things before them, they would not believe unless Allah pleases, but most of them are ignorant.

আমরা যদি তাদের কাছে ফেরেশতাও নাযিল করি, যদি মৃত লোকেরা এসেও তাদের সাথে কথা বলে এবং তাদের সামনে সব বস্ত্ত এনেও যদি হাজির করি, তবু তারা ঈমান আনবেনা, তবে চাইলে ভিন্ন কথা। কিন্তু তাদের অধিকাংশই জাহেল।
Transliteration
Walaw annana nazzalna ilayhimu almalaikata wakallamahumu almawta wahasharna AAalayhim kulla shayin qubulan ma kanoo liyuminoo illa an yashaa Allahu walakinna aktharahum yajhaloona
Shakir
And thus did We make for every prophet an enemy, the Shaitans from among men and jinn, some of them suggesting to others varnished falsehood to deceive (them), and had your Lord pleased they would not have done it, therefore leave them and that which they forge.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
এভাবে আমরা প্রত্যেক নবীর জন্যে মানুষ ও জিন শয়তানদের শত্রু বানিয়ে দিয়েছি। তারা প্রতারণার উদ্দেশ্যে একে অপরের কাছে মুখরোচক কথা অহি (ইংগিত) করে। চাইলে তারা এমনটি করতোনা। সুতরাং তুমি ত্যাগ করো তাদেরকে এবং তারা যে মিথ্যা রচনা করে সেটাকে।
And that the hearts of those who do not believe in the hereafter may incline to it and that they may be well pleased with it and that they may earn what they are going to earn (of evil).
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তারা এ উদ্দেশ্যে (পরস্পরের কাছে অহি করে) যে, যারা আখিরাতে ঈমান রাখেনা, তাদের মন যেনো সেদিকে অনুরাগী হয় এবং এতে করে যেনো তারা খুশি হয়। আর তারা যে দুষ্কর্ম করে তাই যেনো তারা করতে থাকে।
Transliteration
Walitasgha ilayhi afidatu allatheena la yuminoona bialakhirati waliyardawhu waliyaqtarifoo ma hum muqtarifoona
Shakir
Shall I then seek a judge other than Allah? And He it is Who has revealed to you the Book (which is) made plain; and those whom We have given the Book know that it is revealed by your Lord with truth, therefore you should not be of the disputers.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
(তুমি বলো:) ‘আমি কি ছাড়া আর অন্য কাউকেও সালিস মানবো অথচ তিনিই তোমাদের প্রতি নাযিল করেছেন আল কিতাব (আল কুরআন) তফসিল সহকারে!’ আর ইতোপূর্বে আমরা যাদের কিতাব দিয়েছি তারা ভালোভাবেই জানে এটি (কুরআন) নির্ঘাত তোমার প্রভুর পক্ষ থেকেই নাযিল হয়েছে। সুতরাং তুমি সন্দেহ পোষণকারীদের অন্তরভুক্ত হয়োনা।
Transliteration
Afaghayra Allahi abtaghee hakaman wahuwa allathee anzala ilaykumu alkitaba mufassalan waallatheena ataynahumu alkitaba yaAAlamoona annahu munazzalun min rabbika bialhaqqi fala takoonanna mina almumtareena
Shakir
And the word of your Lord has been accomplished truly and justly; there is none who can change His words, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তোমার প্রভুর বাণী সত্য ও ন্যায়ে পরিপূর্ণ। তাঁর বাণী বদল করার কেউ নেই। তিনি সব শুনেন, সব জানেন।
And if you obey most of those in the earth, they will lead you astray from Allah's way; they follow but conjecture and they only lie.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তুমি বিশ্বের অধিকাংশ লোকের কথা শুনতে গেলে তারা তোমাকে আল্লাহর পথ থেকে বিপথগামী করে ফেলবে। তারা তো কেবল ধারণার অনুসরণ করে এবং আন্দাজ অনুমানে কথা বলে।
Transliteration
Wain tutiAA akthara man fee alardi yudillooka AAan sabeeli Allahi in yattabiAAoona illa alththanna wain hum illa yakhrusoona
Shakir
Surely your Lord - - He best knows who goes astray from His way, and He best knows those who follow the right course.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তোমার প্রভু ভালো করেই জানেন কারা বিপথগামী হয় তাঁর পথ থেকে, আর সঠিক পথের অনুসারীদেরও তিনি ভালোভাবে জানেন।
Transliteration
Inna rabbaka huwa aAAlamu man yadillu AAan sabeelihi wahuwa aAAlamu bialmuhtadeena
Shakir
Therefore eat of that on which Allah's name has been mentioned if you are believers in His communications.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
যাতে আল্লাহর নাম নেয়া হয়েছে তা তোমরা খাও যদি তোমরা তাঁর আয়াতের প্রতি হয়ে থাকো।
Transliteration
Fakuloo mimmathukira ismu Allahi AAalayhi in kuntum biayatihi mumineena
Shakir
And what reason have you that you should not eat of that on which Allah's name has been mentioned, and He has already made plain to you what He has forbidden to you - - excepting what you are compelled to; and most surely many would lead (people) astray by their low desires out of ignorance; surely your Lord - - He best knows those who exceed the limits.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তোমাদের কী হয়েছে, যাতে আল্লাহর নাম নেয়া হয়েছে কেন তোমরা তা থেকে খাবেনা? অথচ তোমাদের জন্যে যা যা হারাম করা হয়েছে তা তোমাদেরকে বিশদভাবেই বলে দেয়া হয়েছে। তবে তা থেকে কিছু গ্রহণ করতে তোমরা নিরুপায় হয়ে পড়লে ভিন্ন কথা। অনেকেই না জেনে নিজেদের খেয়াল খুশির ভিত্তিতে অন্যদের বিপথগামী করে। তোমার প্রভু সীমালংঘনকারীদের ভালোভাবেই জানেন।
Transliteration
Wama lakum alla takuloo mimmathukira ismu Allahi AAalayhi waqad fassala lakum maharrama AAalaykum illa ma idturirtum ilayhi wainna katheeran layudilloona biahwaihim bighayri AAilmin inna rabbaka huwa aAAlamu bialmuAAtadeena
Shakir
And abandon open and secret sin; surely they who earn sin shall be recompensed with what they earned.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তোমরা বর্জন করো যাহেরি (প্রকাশ্য) পাপ এবং বাতেনি (গোপন) পাপ। যারা পাপ কামাই করে, অচিরেই তাদেরকে তাদের পাপের উচিত শাস্তি দেয়া হবে।
And do not eat of that on which Allah's name has not been mentioned, and that is most surely a transgression; and most surely the Shaitans suggest to their friends that they should contend with you; and if you obey them, you shall most surely be polytheists.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
যাতে আল্লাহর নাম নেয়া হয়নি তা তোমরা খেয়োনা, কারণ তা ফাসেকি (পাপ)। শয়তানরা তাদের অলিদের অহি করে (প্ররোচনা দেয়) তোমাদের সাথে বিবাদে লিপ্ত হতে। তোমরা যদি তাদের কথামতো চলো তবে অবশ্যি মুশরিক হয়ে যাবে।
Is he who was dead then We raised him to life and made for him a light by which he walks among the people, like him whose likeness is that of one in utter darkness whence he cannot come forth? Thus what they did was made fair seeming to the unbelievers.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
যে ছিলো মৃত, তারপর তাকে আমরা জীবন দান করেছি এবং মানুষের মধ্যে চলার জন্যে দিয়েছি আলো, সে কি ঐ ব্যক্তির মতো হতে পারে, যে রয়েছে অন্ধকাররাশিতে এবং সেখান থেকে সে বের হবার নয়? এভাবেই কাফিরদের জন্যে তাদের কর্মকান্ডকে করে দেয়া হয়েছে চাকচিক্যময়।
Transliteration
Awa man kana maytan faahyaynahu wajaAAalna lahu nooran yamshee bihi fee alnnasi kaman mathaluhu fee alththulumati laysa bikharijin minha kathalika zuyyina lilkafireena ma kanoo yaAAmaloona
Shakir
And thus have We made in every town the great ones to be its guilty ones, that they may plan therein; and they do not plan but against their own souls, and they do not perceive.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
এভাবেই আমরা প্রত্যেক জনপদে সেখানকার অপরাধীদের প্রধানকে চক্রান্ত করার সুযোগ দিয়েছি। তাদের চক্রান্ত যে তাদেরই বিরুদ্ধে যাবে তা তারা বুঝতে পারেনা।
And when a communication comes to them they say: We will not believe till we are given the like of what Allah's apostles are given. Allah best knows where He places His message. There shall befall those who are guilty humiliation from Allah and severe chastisement because of what they planned.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
যখনই তাদের কাছে কোনো নিদর্শন এসেছিল তারা বলেছিল: ‘আমরা ততোক্ষণ পর্যন্ত কিছুতেই ঈমান আনবোনা যতোক্ষণ না আল্লাহর রসূলদের যা দেয়া হয়েছে আমাদেরকেও তা দেয়া হয়।’ আল্লাহ্ই ভালো জানেন তিনি তাঁর রিসালাতের দায়িত্ব কার উপর অর্পণ করবেন। যারা অপরাধ করেছে, তাদের চক্রান্তের জন্যে আল্লাহর কাছে তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে অপমান আর কঠোর আযাব।
Transliteration
Waitha jaathum ayatun qaloo lan numina hatta nuta mithla ma ootiya rusulu Allahi Allahu aAAlamu haythu yajAAalu risalatahu sayuseebu allatheena ajramoo sagharun AAinda Allahi waAAathabun shadeedun bima kanoo yamkuroona
Shakir
Therefore (for) whomsoever Allah intends that He would guide him aright, He expands his breast for Islam, and (for) whomsoever He intends that He should cause him to err, He makes his breast strait and narrow as though he were ascending upwards; thus does Allah lay uncleanness on those who do not believe.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
কাউকেও হিদায়াত দান করতে চাইলে ইসলামের জন্যে তার হৃদয়কে উদার করে দেন। আর যাকে তিনি গোমরাহ্ করতে চান তার অন্তরকে করে দেন অতিশয় সংকীর্ণ। তখন তার কাছে ইসলামে প্রবেশ করাটা সিঁড়ি বেয়ে আকাশে উঠার মতোই কষ্ট সাধ্য মনে হয়। যারা ঈমান আনেনা এভাবেই তাদের লাঞ্ছিত করেন।
Transliteration
Faman yuridi Allahu an yahdiyahu yashrahsadrahu lilislami waman yurid an yudillahu yajAAal sadrahu dayyiqan harajan kaannama yassaAAAAadu fee alssamai kathalika yajAAalu Allahu alrrijsa AAala allatheena la yuminoona
Shakir
And this is the path of your Lord, (a) right (path); indeed We have made the communications clear for a people who mind.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
এটাই তোমার প্রভুর সিরাতুল মুস্তাকিম। উপদেশ গ্রহণকারী লোকদের জন্যে আমরা নিদর্শন বর্ণনা করে দিলাম বিশদভাবে।
Transliteration
Wahathasiratu rabbika mustaqeeman qad fassalna alayati liqawmin yaththakkaroona
Shakir
They shall have the abode of peace with their Lord, and He is their guardian because of what they did.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তাদের জন্যে তাদের প্রভুর কাছে রয়েছে দারুস্ সালাম (শান্তির ঘর) এবং তিনিই তাদের অলি (অভিভাবক) তাদের আমলের কারণে।
And on the day when He shall gather them all together: O assembly of jinn! you took away a great part of mankind. And their friends from among the men shall say: Our Lord! some of us profited by others and we have reached our appointed term which Thou didst appoint for us. He shall say: The fire is your abode, to abide in it, except as Allah is pleased; surely your Lord is Wise, Knowing.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
যেদিন তিনি তাদের সবাইকে হাশর করবেন সেদিন তাদের বলবেন: ‘হে জিন সম্প্রদায়! তোমরা মানুষের মধ্যে অনেককেই তোমাদের অনুগামী করেছিলে।’ আর মানুষের মধ্যকার তাদের অলিরা বলবে: ‘আমাদের প্রভু! আমরা আমাদের একে অপরের মাধ্যমে লাভবান হয়েছি, আর তুমি আমাদের জন্যে যে সময় নির্ধারণ করেছিলে, এখন তো আমরা তাতে এসে উপনীত হয়েছি।’ বলবেন: জাহান্নামই তোমাদের আবাস, চিরদিন তোমরা সেখানেই থাকবে, তবে অন্য কিছু চাইলে সেটা ভিন্ন কথা। নিশ্চয়ই তোমার প্রভু প্রজ্ঞাবান, জ্ঞানী।
Transliteration
Wayawma yahshuruhum jameeAAan ya maAAshara aljinni qadi istakthartum mina alinsi waqala awliyaohum mina alinsi rabbana istamtaAAa baAAduna bibaAAdin wabalaghna ajalana allathee ajjalta lana qala alnnaru mathwakum khalideena feeha illa ma shaa Allahu inna rabbaka hakeemun AAaleemun

And thus do We make some of the iniquitous to befriend others on account of what they earned.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
এভাবেই আমরা যালিমদের একদলকে আরেকদলের অলি বানিয়ে দেই তাদের কৃতকর্মের কারণে।
O assembly of jinn and men! did there not come to you apostles from among you, relating to you My communications and warning you of the meeting of this day of yours? They shall say: We bear witness against ourselves; and this world's life deceived them, and they shall bear witness against their own souls that they were unbelievers.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
(সেদিন বলবেন:) ‘হে জিন ও মানব সম্প্রদায়! তোমাদের মধ্য থেকে কি তোমাদের কাছে রসূলরা আসেনি? তারা কি আমার আয়াত তোমাদের কাছে বয়ান করেনি? তারা কি এই দিনটির সাক্ষাতের ব্যাপারে তোমাদের সতর্ক করেনি?’ তারা বলবে: ‘আমরা আমাদের নিজেদের বিরুদ্ধে সাক্ষ্য দিচ্ছি।’ মূলত দুনিয়ার জীবনটাই তাদের প্রতারিত করে রেখেছিল। তারা তাদের নিজেদের বিরুদ্ধে আরো সাক্ষ্য দেবে যে, বাস্তবিকই তারা ছিলো ।
And your Lord is the Self - sufficient one, the Lord of mercy; if He pleases, He may take you off, and make whom He pleases successors after you, even as He raised you up from the seed of another people.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তোমার প্রভু অভাবমুক্ত রহমতওয়ালা দয়াময়। তিনি ইচ্ছা করলে তোমাদের সরিয়ে দিতে পারেন এবং তোমাদের পরে যাকে ইচ্ছা তোমাদের স্থলাভিষিক্ত করতে পারেন, যেমন তিনি তোমাদের সৃষ্টি করেছেন অপর একটি কওমের বংশধারা থেকে।
Transliteration
Warabbuka alghaniyyu thoo alrrahmati in yasha yuthhibkum wayastakhlif min baAAdikum ma yashao kama anshaakum min thurriyyati qawmin akhareena
Shakir
Surely what you are threatened with must come to pass and you cannot escape (it).
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তোমাদেরকে যে বিষয়ের ওয়াদা দেয়া হয়েছে তা অবশ্যি আসবে। তোমরা সেটার আগমন ঠেকাতে পারবেনা।
Transliteration
Inna ma tooAAadoona laatin wama antum bimuAAjizeena
Shakir
Say: O my people! act according to your ability; I too am acting; so you will soon come to know, for whom (of us) will be the (good) end of the abode; surely the unjust shall not be .
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
বলো ‘হে আমার কওম! তোমরা যেখানে আমল করছো করতে থাকো, আমি আমার কাজ করে যাবো। অচিরেই তোমরা জানতে পারবে কার পরিণাম হবে কল্যাণময়। যালিমরা কিছুতেই সফল হবেনা।’
Transliteration
Qul ya qawmi iAAmaloo AAala makanatikum innee AAamilun fasawfa taAAlamoona man takoonu lahu AAaqibatu alddari innahu la yuflihu alththalimoona
Shakir
And they set apart a portion for Allah out of what He has created of tilth and cattle, and say: This is for Allah - - so they assert - - and this for our associates; then what is for their associates, it reaches not to Allah, and whatever is (set apart) for Allah, it reaches to their associates; evil is that which they judge.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
যে শস্য এবং গবাদি পশু সৃষ্টি করেছেন, তা থেকে তারা আল্লাহর জন্যে একটি অংশ নির্ধারণ করে এবং তাদের ধারণা অনুযায়ী বলে: ‘এই অংশ আল্লাহর জন্যে এবং এই অংশ আমাদের (বানানো আল্লাহর) শরিকদের (দেবতাদের) জন্যে। তারপর দেবতাদের অংশ আল্লাহর কাছে পৌঁছায়না, অথচ আল্লাহর অংশ দেবতাদের কাছে পৌঁছায়। তাদের ফায়সালা কতো যে নিকৃষ্ট!
Transliteration
WajaAAaloo lillahi mimmatharaa mina alharthi waalanAAami naseeban faqaloo hatha lillahi bizaAAmihim wahatha lishurakaina fama kana lishurakaihim fala yasilu ila Allahi wama kana lillahi fahuwa yasilu ila shurakaihim saa ma yahkumoona
Shakir
And thus their associates have made fair seeming to most of the polytheists the killing of their children, that they may cause them to perish and obscure for them their religion; and if Allah had pleased, they would not have done it, therefore leave them and that which they forge.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
এভাবে তাদের দেবতারা অনেক মুশরিকদের দৃষ্টিতে তাদের সন্তানদের হত্যাকে সুশোভিত করে রেখেছে তাদের ধ্বংসের উদ্দেশ্যে এবং তাদের ধর্ম সম্পর্কে তাদের মাঝে বিভ্রান্তি সৃষ্টির জন্যে। চাইলে তারা এটা করতোনা। সুতরাং তাদেরকে তাদের বানানো মিথ্যার উপর ছেড়ে দাও।
Transliteration
Wakathalika zayyana likatheerin mina almushrikeena qatla awladihim shurakaohum liyurdoohum waliyalbisoo AAalayhim deenahum walaw shaa Allahu ma faAAaloohu fatharhum wama yaftaroona
Shakir
And they say: These are cattle and tilth prohibited, none shall eat them except such as We please - - so they assert - - and cattle whose backs are forbidden, and cattle on which they would not mention Allah's name - - forging a lie against Him; He shall requite them for what they forged.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তারা (তাদের ভ্রান্ত ধারণার ভিত্তিতে) বলে: ‘এসব গবাদি পশু এবং এসব শস্যক্ষেত নিষিদ্ধ। আমরা যাকে চাইবো সে ছাড়া আর কেউ এগুলো খেতে পারবেনা।’ তাছাড়া কিছু কিছু গবাদি পশুর পিঠে আরোহণ করা নিষিদ্ধ করা হয়েছে আর কিছু কিছু গবাদি পশু যবেহ করার সময় তারা আল্লাহর নাম নেয়না। এসব (বিধি নিষেধ মূলত তাদের) আল্লাহর নামে মিথ্যারোপ। তিনি অবশ্যি তাদেরকে তাদের এসব মিথ্যা রচনার শাস্তি প্রদান করবেন।
Transliteration
Waqaloo hathihi anAAamun waharthun hijrun la yatAAamuha illa man nashao bizaAAmihim waanAAamun hurrimat thuhooruha waanAAamun la yathkuroona isma Allahi AAalayha iftiraan AAalayhi sayajzeehim bima kanoo yaftaroona
Shakir
And they say: What is in the wombs of these cattle is specially for our males, and forbidden to our wives, and if it be stillborn, then they are all partners in it; He will reward them for their attributing (falsehood to Allah); surely He is Wise, Knowing.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তারা আরো বলে: ‘এসব গবাদি পশুর গর্ভে যা আছে তা আমাদের পুরুষদের জন্যে নির্ধারিত এবং আমাদের নারীদের জন্যে হারাম। তবে মরা পশু হলে তারা উভয়েই তাতে শরিকদার।’ এসব বিধিনিষেধ আরোপের শাস্তি তিনি তাদের প্রদান করবেন। নিশ্চয়ই তিনি প্রজ্ঞাবান, জ্ঞানী।
They are lost indeed who kill their children foolishly without knowledge, and forbid what Allah has given to them forging a lie against Allah; they have indeed gone astray, and they are not the followers of the right course.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
যারা না জেনে বোকামি করে তাদের সন্তানদের হত্যা করে এবং আল্লাহর উপর মিথ্যারোপের মাধ্যমে আল্লাহর দেয়া রিযিক হারাম করে, তারা অবশ্যি বিপথগামী হয়ে গেছে এবং তারা হিদায়াতপ্রাপ্ত নয়।
Transliteration
Qad khasira allatheena qataloo awladahum safahan bighayri AAilmin waharramoo ma razaqahumu Allahu iftiraan AAala Allahi qad dalloo wama kanoo muhtadeena
Shakir
And He it is Who produces gardens (of vine), trellised and untrellised, and palms and seed - produce of which the fruits are of various sorts, and olives and pomegranates, like and unlike; eat of its fruit when it bears fruit, and pay the due of it on the day of its reaping, and do not act extravagantly; surely He does not love the extravagant.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তিনিই সেই মহান সত্তা, যিনি সৃষ্টি করেছেন নানা রকম গুল্ম - লতা এবং গাছের জান্নাত (বাগান), খেজুর গাছ, ভিন্ন ভিন্ন স্বাদের খাদ্য শস্য, যয়তুন ও আনার - সদৃশ্য ও অসদৃশ্য। ফলন ঘটার পর তোমরা এগুলোর ফল খাও এবং ফল - ফসল সংগ্রহের দিন সেগুলোর হক (যাকাত) দিয়ে দাও। অপচয় করোনা। কারণ, তিনি অপচয়কারীদের পছন্দ করেন না।
And of cattle (He created) beasts of burden and those which are fit for slaughter only; eat of what Allah has given you and do not follow the footsteps of the Shaitan; surely he is your open enemy.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
গবাদি পশুর মধ্যে (তিনি সৃষ্টি করেছেন) কিছু ভারবাহী আর কিছু ছোট পশু। তোমাদের যে রিযিক দিয়েছেন তা থেকে খাও এবং শয়তানের পদাংক অনুসরণ করোনা। কারণ, সে তোমাদের সুস্পষ্ট দুশমন।
Eight in pairs - - two of sheep and two of goats. Say: Has He forbidden the two males or the two females or that which the wombs of the two females contain? Inform me with knowledge if you are truthful.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
(তারা নিজেদের খেয়াল খুশি মতো যেগুলো হারাম করেছে) সেগুলো আট প্রকার। মেষের দুটি এবং ছাগলের দুটি। তাদের জিজ্ঞাসা করো: ‘তিনি নর দুটি হারাম করেছেন নাকি মাদি দুটি? নাকি মাদি দুটির গর্ভে যা আছে তা? তোমরা সত্যবাদী হলে এলেমের ভিত্তিতে অবহিত করো।’
Transliteration
Thamaniyata azwajin mina alddani ithnayni wamina almaAAzi ithnayni qul alththakarayni harrama ami alonthayayni amma ishtamalat AAalayhi arhamu alonthayayni nabbioonee biAAilmin in kuntum sadiqeena
Shakir
And two of camels and two of cows. Say: Has He forbidden the two males or the two females or that which the wombs of the two females contain? Or were you witnesses when Allah enjoined you this? Who, then, is more unjust than he who forges a lie against Allah that he should lead astray men without knowledge? Surely Allah does not guide the unjust people.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
আর উটের দুটি এবং গরুর দুটি। তাদের জিজ্ঞেস করো: ‘তিনি কি নর দুটি হারাম করেছেন নাকি মাদি দুটি? নাকি মাদি দুটির গর্ভে যা আছে তা? নাকি তিনি যখন এ নির্দেশ দিয়েছিলেন তখন তোমরা উপস্থিত ছিলে?’ ঐ ব্যক্তির চাইতে বড় যালিম আর কে, যে মানুষকে বিপথগামী করার জন্যে এলেম ছাড়াই আল্লাহর উপর মিথ্যারোপ করে? নিশ্চয়ই যালিম লোকদের হিদায়াত করেন না।
Transliteration
Wamina alibili ithnayni wamina albaqari ithnayni qul alththakarayni harrama ami alonthayayni amma ishtamalat AAalayhi arhamu alonthayayni am kuntum shuhadaa ith wassakumu Allahu bihatha faman athlamu mimmani iftara AAala Allahi kathiban liyudilla alnnasa bighayri AAilmin inna Allaha la yahdee alqawma alththalimeena
Shakir
Say: I do not find in that which has been revealed to me anything forbidden for an eater to eat of except that it be what has died of itself, or blood poured forth, or flesh of swine - - for that surely is unclean - - or that which is a transgression, other than (the name of) Allah having been invoked on it; but whoever is driven to necessity, not desiring nor exceeding the limit, then surely your Lord is Forgiving, Merciful.

হে নবী! বলো: ‘কেউ যা খেতে চায়, আমার প্রতি প্রেরিত অহিতে তার মধ্যে মৃত (প্রাণী), কিংবা প্রবাহিত রক্ত, অথবা শুয়োরের গোশ্ত ছাড়া আর কিছুই হারাম পাইনা। এগুলো নোংরা এবং (খাওয়া) পাপ। আর যা ছাড়া অন্য কারো নামে যবেহ করা হয়েছে তাও হারাম। কেউ যদি বিদ্রোহ এবং সীমালংঘন না করে নিরূপায় হয়ে পড়ার কারণে এগুলো থেকে কিছু খেয়ে নেয়, (তার ব্যাপারে) অবশ্যি তোমার প্রভু পরম ক্ষমাশীল দয়াময়।’
Transliteration
Qul la ajidu fee ma oohiya ilayya muharraman AAalataAAimin yatAAamuhu illa an yakoona maytatan aw daman masfoohan aw lahma khinzeerin fainnahu rijsun aw fisqan ohilla lighayri Allahi bihi famani idturra ghayra baghin wala AAadin fainna rabbaka ghafoorun raheemun

And to those who were Jews We made unlawful every animal having claws, and of oxen and sheep We made unlawful to them the fat of both, except such as was on their backs or the entrails or what was mixed with bones: this was a punishment We gave them on account of their rebellion, and We are surely Truthful.

আমরা ইহুদিদের জন্যে নখরধারী সব পশুই হারাম করে দিয়েছিলাম। গরু এবং ছাগলের চর্বিও তাদের জন্যে হারাম করেছিলাম, তবে পিঠের, অন্ত্রের কিংবা হাড়ের সাথের চর্বি ছাড়া। তাদের অবাধ্যতার কারণে আমরা তাদের এই শাস্তি দিয়েছিলাম। অবশ্যি আমরা সত্যবাদী।
Transliteration
WaAAala allatheena hadoo harramna kulla thee thufurin wamina albaqari waalghanami harramna AAalayhim shuhoomahuma illa mahamalat thuhooruhuma awi alhawaya aw ma ikhtalata biAAathmin thalika jazaynahum bibaghyihim wainna lasadiqoona
Shakir
But if they give you the lie, then say: Your Lord is the Lord of All - encompassing mercy; and His punishment cannot be averted from the guilty people.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তারপরও যদি তারা তোমাকে প্রত্যাখ্যান করে, তুমি বলো: তোমাদের প্রভু অসীম দয়ার মালিক এবং অপরাধী লোকদের উপর থেকে তাঁর শাস্তি রদ করা হয়না।
Those who are polytheists will say: If Allah had pleased we would not have associated (aught with Him) nor our fathers, nor would we have forbidden (to ourselves) anything; even so did those before them reject until they tasted Our punishment. Say: Have you any knowledge with you so you should bring it forth to us? You only follow a conjecture and you only tell lies.

শিরকে লিপ্ত লোকেরা অচিরেই তোমাকে বলবে: ‘ চাইলে আমরা শিরক করতামনা এবং আমাদের পূর্ব পুরুষরাও, আর আমরা কিছু হারামও করতামনা।’ এভাবেই প্রত্যাখ্যান করেছিল তাদের আগের লোকেরাও, অবশেষে তারা ভোগ করেছিল আমার শাস্তি। হে নবী! বলো: ‘তোমাদের কাছে কোনো এলেম আছে কি? থাকলে বের করো আমাদের সামনে। আসলে তোমরা অনুমান ছাড়া আর কিছুরই অনুসরণ করোনা, আর মনগড়া কথা ছাড়া কোনো কথা বলোনা।’
Transliteration
Sayaqoolu allatheena ashrakoo law shaa Allahu ma ashrakna walaabaona walaharramna min shayin kathalika kaththaba allatheena min qablihim hattathaqoo basana qul hal AAindakum min AAilmin fatukhrijoohu lana in tattabiAAoona illa alththanna wain antum illa takhrusoona
Shakir
Say: Then Allah's is the conclusive argument; so if He please, He would certainly guide you all.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
হে নবী! বলো: চূড়ান্ত প্রমাণের মালিক হলেন । তিনি চাইলে অবশ্যি তোমাদের সবাইকে হিদায়াত করতেন।
Say: Bring your witnesses who should bear witness that Allah has forbidden this, then if they bear witness, do not bear witness with them; and follow not the low desires of those who reject Our communications and of those who do not believe in the hereafter, and they make (others) equal to their Lord.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
হে নবী! তাদের বলো এগুলো হারাম হবার ব্যাপারে যারা সাক্ষ্য দেবে তোমাদের সেসব সাক্ষীদের হাজির করো।’ তারপর তারা সাক্ষ্য দিলেও তুমি তাদের সাথে স্বীকার করোনা। যারা আল্লাহর আয়াতকে অস্বীকার করে, যারা আখিরাতের প্রতি ঈমান রাখেনা এবং যারা তাদের প্রভুর সমকক্ষ সাব্যস্ত করে, তুমি তাদের খেয়াল খুশির অনুসরণ করোনা।
Transliteration
Qul halumma shuhadaakumu allatheena yashhadoona anna Allaha harrama hatha fain shahidoo fala tashhad maAAahum wala tattabiAA ahwaa allatheena kaththaboo biayatina waallatheena la yuminoona bialakhirati wahum birabbihim yaAAdiloona
Shakir
Say: Come I will recite what your Lord has forbidden to you - - (remember) that you do not associate anything with Him and show kindness to your parents, and do not slay your children for (fear of) poverty - - We provide for you and for them - - and do not draw nigh to indecencies, those of them which are apparent and those which are concealed, and do not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden except for the requirements of justice; this He has enjoined you with that you may understand.

হে নবী! বলো: ‘এসো, তোমাদের প্রভু তোমাদের জন্যে যা হারাম করেছেন তা তোমাদের তিলাওয়াত করে শুনাই। সেগুলো হলো: তোমরা তাঁর সাথে কোনো কিছুকেই শরিক করবেনা, পিতা - মাতার প্রতি ইহ্সান করবে, দারিদ্রের ভয়ে তোমাদের সন্তানদের হত্যা করবেনা, কারণ আমরাই তাদের এবং তোমাদেরও রিযিক দেই, প্রকাশ্যে কিংবা গোপনে অশ্লীল কাজের কাছেও যেয়োনা। যাকে হত্যা করা হারাম করেছেন তোমরা তাকে হত্যা করোনা, তবে যথার্থ কারণ ও হক পন্থায় হলে ভিন্ন কথা। তোমাদের এসব অসিয়ত (নির্দেশ) করছেন যাতে করে তোমরা আকল খাটাও।
And do not approach the property of the orphan except in the best manner until he attains his maturity, and give full measure and weight with justice - - We do not impose on any soul a duty except to the extent of its ability; and when you speak, then be just though it be (against) a relative, and fulfill Allah's covenant; this He has enjoined you with that you may be mindful;
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
এতিমরা বয়োপ্রাপ্ত না হওয়া পর্যন্ত উত্তম পন্থায় ছাড়া তাদের মাল সম্পদের কাছেও যেয়োনা। পরিমাণ ও ওজন নায্যভাবে পূর্ণ করে দাও। আমরা কোনো ব্যক্তির উপর তার সাধ্যের বেশি বোঝা চাপাই না। তোমরা যখন কথা বলবে, নায্য কথা বলবে নিকটজনের বিপক্ষে গেলেও। আল্লাহকে দেয়া অংগীকার পূর্ণ করো। এসব অসিয়ত (নির্দেশ) তোমাদের প্রদান করছেন যাতে করে তোমরা উপদেশ গ্রহণ করো।
Transliteration
Wala taqraboo mala alyateemi illa biallatee hiya ahsanu hatta yablugha ashuddahu waawfoo alkayla waalmeezana bialqisti la nukallifu nafsan illa wusAAaha waitha qultum faiAAdiloo walaw kana tha qurba wabiAAahdi Allahi awfoo thalikum wassakum bihi laAAallakum tathakkaroona
Shakir
And (know) that this is My path, the right one therefore follow it, and follow not (other) ways, for they will lead you away from His way; this He has enjoined you with that you may guard (against evil).
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
এটাই আমার সিরাতুল মুস্তাকিম (সরল সঠিক পথ), সুতরাং তোমরা এরই অনুসরণ করো। তোমরা বিভিন্ন পথের অনুসরণ করোনা, করলে তা তোমাদেরকে তাঁর পথ থেকে বিচ্ছিন্ন করে ফেলবে। তোমাদের এসব অসিয়ত (নির্দেশ) প্রদান করছেন যাতে করে তোমরা সতর্ক হও।
Again, We gave the Book to Musa to complete (Our blessings) on him who would do good (to others), and making plain all things and a guidance and a mercy, so that they should believe in the meeting of their Lord.

তারপর আমরা মূসাকে দিয়েছিলাম কিতাব, যা ছিলো কল্যাণ পরায়ণদের জন্যে পরিপূর্ণ, সবকিছুর বিশদ বিবরণ, হিদায়াত এবং রহমত, যাতে করে তারা তাদের প্রভুর সাথে সাক্ষাতের প্রতি ঈমান আনে।
And this is a Book We have revealed, blessed; therefore follow it and guard (against evil) that mercy may be shown to you.

তারপর আমরা মূসাকে দিয়েছিলাম কিতাব, যা ছিলো কল্যাণ পরায়ণদের জন্যে পরিপূর্ণ, সবকিছুর বিশদ বিবরণ, হিদায়াত এবং রহমত, যাতে করে তারা তাদের প্রভুর সাথে সাক্ষাতের প্রতি ঈমান আনে।
Lest you say that the Book was only revealed to two parties before us and We were truly unaware of what they read.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
যাতে তোমরা একথা বলতে না পারো যে, কিতাব তো আমাদের আগে দুটি (ইহুদি খৃষ্টান) সম্প্রদায়ের কাছে নাযিল হয়েছিল। আমরা তো তাদের দরস (পাঠ) সম্পর্কে গাফিল ছিলাম!
Transliteration
An taqooloo innama onzila alkitabu AAalataifatayni min qablina wain kunna AAan dirasatihim laghafileena
Shakir
Or lest you should say: If the Book had been revealed to us, we would certainly have been better guided than they, so indeed there has come to you clear proof from your Lord, and guidance and mercy. Who then is more unjust than he who rejects Allah's communications and turns away from them? We will reward those who turn away from Our communications with an evil chastisement because they turned away.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
অথবা একথাও যেনো বলতে না পারো যে, যদি আমাদের কাছে কিতাব নাযিল করা হতো তাহলে আমরা তাদের চাইতে বেশি হিদায়াতপ্রাপ্ত হতাম। এখন তো তোমাদের প্রভুর পক্ষ থেকে তোমাদের কাছে এসে গেছে সুষ্পষ্ট প্রমাণ, হিদায়াত এবং রহমত। সুতরাং ঐ ব্যক্তির চাইতে বড় যালিম আর কে হবে, যে আল্লাহর আয়াত প্রত্যাখ্যান করবে এবং তা থেকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেবে। যারা আমার আয়াত থেকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেবে তাদের এই মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়ার জন্যে অচিরেই আমরা তাদের নিকৃষ্ট আযাব প্রদান করবো।
Transliteration
Aw taqooloo law anna onzila AAalayna alkitabu lakunna ahda minhum faqad jaakum bayyinatun min rabbikum wahudan warahmatun faman athlamu mimman kaththaba biayati Allahi wasadafa AAanha sanajzee allatheena yasdifoona AAan ayatina sooa alAAathabi bima kanoo yasdifoona
Shakir
They do not wait aught but that the angels should come to them, or that your Lord should come, or that some of the signs of your Lord should come. On the day when some of the signs of your Lord shall come, its faith shall not profit a soul which did not believe before, or earn good through its faith. Say: Wait; we too are waiting.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তারা তো শুধু এ জন্যেই অপেক্ষা করছে যেনো তাদের কাছে ফেরেশতা আসে, অথবা স্বয়ং তোমার প্রভু আসেন, অথবা তোমার প্রভুর কোনো নিদর্শন আসে। শুনো, যেদিন তোমার প্রভুর নিদর্শন আসবে সেদিন ঐ ব্যক্তি ঈমান আনলে তাতে তার কোনো ফায়দা হবেনা, যে ব্যক্তি আগে ঈমান আনেনি; কিংবা যে ব্যক্তি ঈমানের ভিত্তিতে কল্যাণ অর্জন করেনি। বলো: ‘তোমরা অপেক্ষা করো। আমরাও অপেক্ষায় থাকলাম।’
Transliteration
Hal yanthuroona illa an tatiyahumu almalaikatu aw yatiya rabbuka aw yatiya baAAdu ayati rabbika yawma yatee baAAdu ayati rabbika la yanfaAAu nafsan eemanuha lam takun amanat min qablu aw kasabat fee eemaniha khayran quli intathiroo inna muntathiroona

Surely they who divided their religion into parts and became sects, you have no concern with them; their affair is only with Allah, then He will inform them of what they did.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
নিশ্চয়ই যারা তাদের দীনকে নানা মতে বিভক্ত করেছে এবং তারাও বিভিন্ন দল উপদলে বিভক্ত হয়েছে, তাদের কোনো দায় দায়িত্ব তোমার নেই। তাদের বিষয়ে ফায়সালার দায়িত্ব আল্লাহর, তিনিই তাদের কর্মকান্ড সম্পর্কে তাদের অবহিত করবেন।
Transliteration
Inna allatheena farraqoo deenahum wakanoo shiyaAAan lasta minhum fee shayin innama amruhum ila Allahi thumma yunabbiohum bima kanoo yafAAaloona
Shakir
Whoever brings a good deed, he shall have ten like it, and whoever brings an evil deed, he shall be recompensed only with the like of it, and they shall not be dealt with unjustly.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
যে কেউ একটি কল্যাণকর কাজ করবে, সে তার দশগুণ পাবে, আর যে কেউ একটি পাপ কাজ করবে, তাকে কেবল সেটারই প্রতিফল দেয়া হবে এবং তাদের প্রতি কোনো প্রকার যুলুম করা হবেনা।’
Transliteration
Man jaa bialhasanati falahu AAashru amthaliha waman jaa bialssayyiati fala yujza illa mithlaha wahum la yuthlamoona
Shakir
Say: Surely, (as for) me, my Lord has guided me to the right path; (to) a most right religion, the faith of Ibrahim the upright one, and he was not of the polytheists.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
হে নবী! বলো: ‘আমার প্রভু আমাকে সরল সঠিক পথে পরিচালিত করেছেন। সেটাই প্রতিষ্ঠিত দীন। সেটা ইবরাহিমের মিল্লাত (আদর্শ)।’ ইবরাহিম ছিলো নিষ্ঠাবান। সে মুশরিকদের অন্তরভুক্ত ছিলনা।
Transliteration
Qul innanee hadanee rabbee ilasiratin mustaqeemin deenan qiyaman millata ibraheema haneefan wama kana mina almushrikeena
Shakir
Say. Surely my prayer and my sacrifice and my life and my death are (all) for Allah, the Lord of the worlds;
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
বলো: ‘আমার , আমার কুরবানি, আমার জীবন এবং আমার মৃত্যু রাববুল আলামিনের জন্যে।’
No associate has He; and this am I commanded, and I am the first of those who submit.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তাঁর কোনো শরিক নেই। এরই নির্দেশ আমাকে দেয়া হয়েছে এবং আমিই প্রথম মুসলিম।’
Transliteration
La shareeka lahu wabithalika omirtu waana awwalu almuslimeena
Shakir
Say: What! shall I seek a Lord other than Allah? And He is the Lord of all things; and no soul earns (evil) but against itself, and no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another; then to your Lord is your return, so He will inform you of that in which you differed.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
বলো: ‘আমি কি আল্লাহকে ছাড়া অন্য কোনো রব খুঁজবো? অথচ তিনিই তো সব কিছুর রব।’ প্রত্যেক ব্যক্তি নিজ নিজ কৃতকর্মের জন্যে দায়ী। কেউই অপর কারো বোঝা বহন করবেনা। অতপর তোমাদের প্রভুর কাছেই ফিরে যেতে হবে তোমাদের সবাইকে। তখন তিনি তোমাদের অবহিত করবেন যেসব বিষয়ে তোমরা মতভেদ করছিলে।
And He it is Who has made you successors in the land and raised some of you above others by (various) grades, that He might try you by what He has given you; surely your Lord is quick to requite (evil), and He is most surely the Forgiving, the Merciful.

তিনিই তোমাদেরকে এই পৃথিবীর প্রতিনিধি বানিয়েছেন এবং তিনি তোমাদের যা দিয়েছেন সে বিষয়ে পরীক্ষা করার উদ্দেশ্যে তোমাদের কতক লোককে অপর কতক লোকের উপর উচ্চ মর্যাদা দিয়েছেন। তোমার প্রভু শাস্তিদানে দ্রুত, আবার তিনি অবশ্যি ক্ষমাশীল দয়াময়ও।
