Shakir
Perdition overtake both hands of Abu Lahab, and he will perish.
Saheeh International
May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he.
সমকালীন বাংলা
আল্লাহর নামে শুরু করছি, পরম করুণাময়, পরম দয়ালু; ধ্বংস হয়েছে আবু লাহাবের দুই হাত, এবং সেও ধ্বংস হয়েছে।

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ تَبَّتْ يَدَا أَبِي لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ
Word by word
تَبَّتْ يَدَآ أَبِى لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ
Shakir
His wealth and what he earns will not avail him.
Saheeh International
His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained.
সমকালীন বাংলা
তার সম্পদ এবং যা সে অর্জন করেছে—তা তার কোনো উপকারে আসেনি।
Arabic, with marks
مَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُ وَمَا كَسَبَ

مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ
Shakir
He shall soon burn in fire that flames,
Saheeh International
He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame
সমকালীন বাংলা
সে প্রবেশ করবে আগুনে।
Arabic, with marks
سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ

سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ
Shakir
And his wife, the bearer of fuel,
Saheeh International
And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood.
সমকালীন বাংলা
এবং তার স্ত্রী—কাঠ বহনকারিণী,

وَامْرَأَتُهُ حَمَّالَةَ الْحَطَبِ
Word by word
وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلْحَطَبِ
Shakir
Upon her neck a halter of strongly twisted rope.
Saheeh International
Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber.
সমকালীন বাংলা
তার গলায়—পাকানো তন্তুর দড়ি।

فِي جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّن مَّسَدٍ
