Chapter 52, 49 verses
Waalttoori
বিসমিল্লাহির রাহমা-নির রাহি-ম অততুরি।
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. By the Tur (Mount)
وَٱلطُّورِ
Wakitabin mastoorin
অকিতা-বিম্ মাস্তুরিন্।
And by a Book Inscribed
وَكِتَٰبٍ مَّسْطُورٍ
Fee raqqin manshoorin
ফী রাকুক্বিম্ মান্শূরিঁও।
In parchment unrolled.
فِى رَقٍّ مَّنشُورٍ
Waalbayti almaAAmoori
অল্বাইতিল্ মা'মূরি
And by Al-Bait-ul-Ma'mur (the house over the heavens parallel to the Ka'bah at Makkah, continuously visited by the angels).
وَٱلْبَيْتِ ٱلْمَعْمُورِ
Waalssaqfi almarfooAAi
অস্সাকুফিল্ র্মাফূ'ই।
And by the roof raised high (i.e. the heaven).
وَٱلسَّقْفِ ٱلْمَرْفُوعِ
Waalbahri almasjoori
অল্বাহ্রিল্ মাস্জুরি।
And by the sea kept filled (or it will be fire kindled on the Day of Resurrection).
وَٱلْبَحْرِ ٱلْمَسْجُورِ
Inna AAathaba rabbika lawaqiAAun
ইন্না 'আযা-বা রব্বিকা লাওয়া-ক্বি'উম্।
Verily, the Torment of your Lord will surely come to pass.
إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ لَوَٰقِعٌ
Ma lahu min dafiAAin
মা-লাহূ মিন্ দা-ফি'ইঁ
There is none that can avert it.
مَّا لَهُۥ مِن دَافِعٍ
Yawma tamooru alssamao mawran
ইয়াওমা তামূরুস্ সামা-য়ু মাওরাঁও।
On the Day when the heaven will shake with a dreadful shaking,
يَوْمَ تَمُورُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ مَوْرًا
Wataseeru aljibalu sayran
অতাসীরুল্ জ্বিবা-লু সাইর-।
And the mountains will move away with a (horrible) movement.
وَتَسِيرُ ٱلْجِبَالُ سَيْرًا
Fawaylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena
ফাওয়াইলুইঁ ইয়াওমায়িযিল্ লিল্মুকায্যিবীনা।
Then woe that Day to the beliers.
فَوَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
Allatheena hum fee khawdin yalAAaboona
ল্লাযীনা হুম্ ফী খাওদ্বিঁই ইয়াল্'আবূন্।
Who are playing in falsehood .
ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ فِى خَوْضٍ يَلْعَبُونَ
Yawma yudaAAAAoona ila nari jahannama daAAAAan
ইয়াওমা ইয়ুদা'ঊ না ইলা-না-রি জ্বাহান্নামা দাআ।
The Day when they will be pushed down by force to the Fire of Hell, with a horrible, forceful pushing.
يَوْمَ يُدَعُّونَ إِلَىٰ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ دَعًّا
Hathihi alnnaru allatee kuntum biha tukaththiboona
হা-যিহিন্ না-রুল্লাতী কুন্তুম্ বিহা-তুকায্যিবূন্।
This is the Fire which you used to belie.
هَٰذِهِ ٱلنَّارُ ٱلَّتِى كُنتُم بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ
Afasihrun hatha am antum la tubsiroona
আফাসিহ্রুন্ হা-যা য় আম্ আন্তুম্ লা-তুব্ছিরূন্।
Is this magic, or do you not see?
أَفَسِحْرٌ هَٰذَآ أَمْ أَنتُمْ لَا تُبْصِرُونَ
Islawha faisbiroo aw la tasbiroo sawaon AAalaykum innama tujzawna ma kuntum taAAmaloona
ইছ্লাওহা-ফাছ্বিরূ য় আওলা তাছ্বিরূ সাওয়া-য়ুন্ 'আলাইকুম্ ইন্নামা তুজযাওনা মা-কুন্তুম্ তা'মালূন্।
Taste you therein its heat and whether you are patient of it or impatient of it, it is all the same. You are only being requited for what you used to do.
ٱصْلَوْهَا فَٱصْبِرُوٓا۟ أَوْ لَا تَصْبِرُوا۟ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْكُمْ إِنَّمَا تُجْزَوْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
Inna almuttaqeena fee jannatin wanaAAeemin
ইন্নাল্ মুত্তাক্বীনা ফী জ্বান্না-তিঁও অনা'ঈম্।
Verily, the Muttaqun (the pious. See V.2:2) will be in Gardens (Paradise), and Delight.
إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى جَنَّٰتٍ وَنَعِيمٍ
Fakiheena bima atahum rabbuhum wawaqahum rabbuhum AAathaba aljaheemi
ফা-কিহীনা বিমা য় আ-তা-হুম্ রব্বুহুম্ অ ওয়াক্বা-হুম্ রব্বুহুম্ আযা-বাল্ জ্বাহীম্।
Enjoying in that which their Lord has bestowed on them, and (the fact that) their Lord saved them from the torment of the blazing Fire.
فَٰكِهِينَ بِمَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ وَوَقَىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْجَحِيمِ
Kuloo waishraboo haneean bima kuntum taAAmaloona
কুলূ অশ্রবূ হানী-য়াম্ বিমা-কুন্তুম্ তা'মালূন্।
"Eat and drink with happiness because of what you used to do."
كُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ هَنِيٓـًٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
Muttakieena AAala sururin masfoofatin wazawwajnahum bihoorin AAeenin
মুত্তাকিয়ীনা 'আলা-সুরুরিম্ মাছ্ফূ ফাতিন্ অযাওওয়াজনা-হুম্ বিহূরিন্ 'ঈন্।
They will recline (with ease) on thrones arranged in ranks. And We shall marry them to Hur: (female, fair ones) with wide lovely eyes.
مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍ مَّصْفُوفَةٍ وَزَوَّجْنَٰهُم بِحُورٍ عِينٍ
Waallatheena amanoo waittabaAAathum thurriyyatuhum bieemanin alhaqna bihim thurriyyatahum wama alatnahum min AAamalihim min shayin kullu imriin bima kasaba raheenun
অল্লাযীনা আ-মানূ অত্তাবা'আত্ হুম্ র্যুরিয়্যাতুহুম্ বিঈমা-নিন্ আল্হাকুনা-বিহিম্ র্যুরিয়্যাতাহুম্ অমা য় আলাত্না-হুম্ মিন্ 'আমালিহিম্ মিন্ শাইয়িন্ কুল্লুম্ রিয়িম্ বিমা-কাসাবা রাহীন্।
And those who believe and whose offspring follow them in Faith: to them shall We join their offspring, and We shall not decrease the reward of their deeds in anything. Every person is a pledge for that which he has earned.
وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَٱتَّبَعَتْهُمْ ذُرِّيَّتُهُم بِإِيمَٰنٍ أَلْحَقْنَا بِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَمَآ أَلَتْنَٰهُم مِّنْ عَمَلِهِم مِّن شَىْءٍ كُلُّ ٱمْرِئٍۭ بِمَا كَسَبَ رَهِينٌ
Waamdadnahum bifakihatin walahmin mimma yashtahoona
অআম্দাদ্না-হুম্ বিফা-কিহাতিঁও অলাহ্মিম্ মিম্মা-ইয়াশ্তাহূন্।
And We shall provide them with fruit and meat such as they desire.
وَأَمْدَدْنَٰهُم بِفَٰكِهَةٍ وَلَحْمٍ مِّمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ
YatanazaAAoona feeha kasan la laghwun feeha wala tatheemun
ইয়াতানা-যা'ঊনা ফীহা-কা'সাল্ লা-লাগ্য়ুন্ ফীহা-অলা-তা”ছীম্।
There they shall pass from hand to hand a (wine) cup, free from any Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk between them), and free from sin (because it will be lawful for them to drink).
يَتَنَٰزَعُونَ فِيهَا كَأْسًا لَّا لَغْوٌ فِيهَا وَلَا تَأْثِيمٌ
Wayatoofu AAalayhim ghilmanun lahum kaannahum luluon maknoonun
অইয়াতুফু 'আলাইহিম্ গিল্মা-নুল্লাহুম্ কায়ান্নাহুম্ লু”লুয়ুম্ মাক্নূন্।
And there will go round boy-servants of theirs, to serve them as if they were preserved pearls.
وَيَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ غِلْمَانٌ لَّهُمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ لُؤْلُؤٌ مَّكْنُونٌ
Waaqbala baAAduhum AAala baAAdin yatasaaloona
অআকুবালা বা'দুহুম্ 'আলা-বা'দ্বিঁ ইয়াতাসা-য়ালূন্।
And some of them draw near to others, questioning.
وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ
Qaloo inna kunna qablu fee ahlina mushfiqeena
ক্ব-লূ য় ইন্না-কুন্না-ক্বব্লু ফী য় আহ্লিনা মুশ্ফিক্বীন্।
Saying: "Aforetime, we were afraid (of the punishment of Allah) in the midst of our families.
قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا كُنَّا قَبْلُ فِىٓ أَهْلِنَا مُشْفِقِينَ
Famanna Allahu AAalayna wawaqana AAathaba alssamoomi
ফামান্ না ল্লা-হু 'আলাইনা-অঅক্বা-না 'আযা-বাস্ সামূম্।
"So Allah has been gracious to us, and has saved us from the torment of the Fire.
فَمَنَّ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْنَا وَوَقَىٰنَا عَذَابَ ٱلسَّمُومِ
Inna kunna min qablu nadAAoohu innahu huwa albarru alrraheemu
ইন্না-কুন্না- মিন্ ক্বব্লু নাদ্'ঊহ্ ইন্নাহূ হুওয়াল্ র্বার্রু রহীম্।
"Verily, We used to invoke Him (Alone and none else) before. Verily, He is Al-Barr (the Most Subtle, Kind, Courteous, and Generous), the Most Merciful."
إِنَّا كُنَّا مِن قَبْلُ نَدْعُوهُ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْبَرُّ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
Fathakkir fama anta biniAAmati rabbika bikahin wala majnoonin
ফাযার্ক্কি ফামা য় আন্তা বিনি' মাতি রব্বিকা বিকা- হিনিঁও অলা-মাজনূন্।
Therefore, remind (mankind of Islamic Monotheism, O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم). By the Grace of Allah, you are neither a soothsayer, nor a madman.
فَذَكِّرْ فَمَآ أَنتَ بِنِعْمَتِ رَبِّكَ بِكَاهِنٍ وَلَا مَجْنُونٍ
Am yaqooloona shaAAirun natarabbasu bihi rayba almanooni
আম্ ইয়াকুলূনা শা-'ইরুন্ নাতারাব্বাছূ বিহী রইবাল্ মানূন্।
Or do they say: "(Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) is a poet! We await for him some calamity by time!"
أَمْ يَقُولُونَ شَاعِرٌ نَّتَرَبَّصُ بِهِۦ رَيْبَ ٱلْمَنُونِ
Qul tarabbasoo fainnee maAAakum mina almutarabbiseena
কুল্ তারব্বাছূ ফাইন্নী মা'আকুম্ মিনাল্ মুতারব্বিছীন্।
Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم to them): "Wait! I am with you among the waiters!"
قُلْ تَرَبَّصُوا۟ فَإِنِّى مَعَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْمُتَرَبِّصِينَ
Am tamuruhum ahlamuhum bihatha am hum qawmun taghoona
আম্ তা”মুরুহুম্ আহ্লা-মুহুম্ বিহা-যা য় আম্ হুম্ ক্বওমুন্ ত্বোয়া-গূন্।
Do their minds command them this [i.e. to tell a lie against you (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم)] or are they people transgressing all bounds?
أَمْ تَأْمُرُهُمْ أَحْلَٰمُهُم بِهَٰذَآ أَمْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ
Am yaqooloona taqawwalahu bal la yuminoona
আম্ ইয়াকুলূনা তাক্বওয়ালাহূ বাল্ লা- ইয়ু”মিনূন্।
Or do they say: "He (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) has forged it (this Qur'an)?" Nay! They believe not!
أَمْ يَقُولُونَ تَقَوَّلَهُۥ بَل لَّا يُؤْمِنُونَ
Falyatoo bihadeethin mithlihi in kanoo sadiqeena
ফাল্ইয়া”তূ বিহাদীছিম্ মিছ্লিহী য় ইন্ কা-নূ ছোয়া-দিক্বীন্।
Let them then produce a recital like unto it (the Qur'an) if they are truthful.
فَلْيَأْتُوا۟ بِحَدِيثٍ مِّثْلِهِۦٓ إِن كَانُوا۟ صَٰدِقِينَ
Am khuliqoo min ghayri shayin am humu alkhaliqoona
আম্ খুলিকু মিন্ গইরি শাইয়িন্ আম্ হুমুল্ খ-লিকুন্।
Were they created by nothing? Or were they themselves the creators?
أَمْ خُلِقُوا۟ مِنْ غَيْرِ شَىْءٍ أَمْ هُمُ ٱلْخَٰلِقُونَ
Am khalaqoo alssamawati waalarda bal la yooqinoona
আম্ খলাকুস্ সামা-ওয়া-তি অল্র্আদ্বোয়া বাল্ লা-ইয়ূক্বিনূন্।
Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no firm Belief.
أَمْ خَلَقُوا۟ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ بَل لَّا يُوقِنُونَ
Am AAindahum khazainu rabbika am humu almusaytiroona
আম্ 'ইন্দাহুম্ খাযা-য়িনু রব্বিকা আম্ হুমুল্ মুসাইত্বিরূন্।
Or are with them the treasures of your Lord? Or are they the tyrants with the authority to do as they like?
أَمْ عِندَهُمْ خَزَآئِنُ رَبِّكَ أَمْ هُمُ ٱلْمُصَۣيْطِرُونَ
Am lahum sullamun yastamiAAoona feehi falyati mustamiAAuhum bisultanin mubeenin
আম্ লাহুম্ সুল্লামুইঁ ইয়াস্তামিঊ'না ফীহি ফাল্ ইয়াতি মুসতামিঊ'হুম্ বিসুল্ত্বোয়া-নিম্ মুবীন্।
Or have they a stairway (to heaven), by means of which they listen (to the talks of the angels)? Then let their listener produce some manifest proof.
أَمْ لَهُمْ سُلَّمٌ يَسْتَمِعُونَ فِيهِ فَلْيَأْتِ مُسْتَمِعُهُم بِسُلْطَٰنٍ مُّبِينٍ
Am lahu albanatu walakumu albanoona
আম্ লাহুল্ বানা-তু অলাকুমুল্ বানূন্।
Or has He (Allah) only daughters and you have sons?
أَمْ لَهُ ٱلْبَنَٰتُ وَلَكُمُ ٱلْبَنُونَ
Am tasaluhum ajran fahum min maghramin muthqaloona
আম্ তাস্য়ালুহুম্ আজরন্ ফাহুম্ মিম্ মাগ্রমিম্ মুছ্ক্বালূন্।
Or is it that you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) ask a wage from them (for your preaching of Islamic Monotheism) so that they are burdened with a load of debt?
أَمْ تَسْـَٔلُهُمْ أَجْرًا فَهُم مِّن مَّغْرَمٍ مُّثْقَلُونَ
Am AAindahumu alghaybu fahum yaktuboona
আম্ ই'ন্দাহুমুল্ গাইবু ফাহুম্ ইয়াক্তুবূন্।
Or that the Ghaib (Unseen) is with them, and they write it down?
أَمْ عِندَهُمُ ٱلْغَيْبُ فَهُمْ يَكْتُبُونَ
Am yureedoona kaydan faallatheena kafaroo humu almakeedoona
আম্ ইয়ুরীদূনা কাইদা- ফাল্লাযীনা কাফারূ হুমুল্ মাকীদূন্।
Or do they intend a plot (against you O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم)? But those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allah - Islamic Monotheism) are themselves plotted against!
أَمْ يُرِيدُونَ كَيْدًا فَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلْمَكِيدُونَ
Am lahum ilahun ghayru Allahi subhana Allahi AAamma yushrikoona
আম্ লাহুম্ ইলা-হুন্ গাইরুল্লা-হ্ সুব্হা-না ল্লা-হি 'আম্মা ইয়ুশ্রিকূন্।
Or have they an ilah (a god) other than Allah? Glorified be Allah from all that they ascribe as partners (to Him)
أَمْ لَهُمْ إِلَٰهٌ غَيْرُ ٱللَّهِ سُبْحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ
Wain yaraw kisfan mina alssamai saqitan yaqooloo sahabun markoomun
অ ইঁ ইয়ারাও কিস্ফাম্ মিনাস্ সামা-য়ি সা-ক্বিত্বোয়াইঁ ইয়াকুলূ সাহা-বুম্ র্মাকূম্।
And if they were to see a piece of the heaven falling down, they would say: "Clouds gathered in heaps!"
وَإِن يَرَوْا۟ كِسْفًا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ سَاقِطًا يَقُولُوا۟ سَحَابٌ مَّرْكُومٌ
Fatharhum hatta yulaqoo yawmahumu allathee feehi yusAAaqoona
ফার্যাহুম্ হাত্তা- ইয়ুলা-কু ইয়াওমাহুমুল্ লাযী ফীহি ইয়ুছ্ 'আকুন্।
So leave them alone till they meet their Day, in which they will sink into a fainting (with horror).
فَذَرْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يُلَٰقُوا۟ يَوْمَهُمُ ٱلَّذِى فِيهِ يُصْعَقُونَ
Yawma la yughnee AAanhum kayduhum shayan wala hum yunsaroona
ইয়াওমা লা-ইয়ুগ্নী 'আন্হুম্ কাইদু হুম্ শাইয়াঁও অলা হুম্ ইয়ুন্ছোয়ারূন্।
The Day when their plotting shall not avail them at all nor will they be helped (i.e. they will receive their torment in Hell).
يَوْمَ لَا يُغْنِى عَنْهُمْ كَيْدُهُمْ شَيْـًٔا وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ
Wainna lillatheena thalamoo AAathaban doona thalika walakinna aktharahum la yaAAlamoona
অ ইন্না লিল্লাযীনা জোয়ালামূ 'আযা-বান্ দূনা যা-লিকা অলা-কিন্না আক্ছারহুম্ লা-ইয়া'লামূন্।
And verily, for those who do wrong, there is another punishment (i.e. the torment in this world and in their graves) before this; but most of them know not. (Tafsir At-Tabari).
وَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ عَذَابًا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
Waisbir lihukmi rabbika fainnaka biaAAyunina wasabbih bihamdi rabbika heena taqoomu
অর্ছ্বি লিহুক্মি রব্বিকা ফাইন্নাকা বিআ'ইয়ুনিনা-অসাব্বিহ্ বিহাম্দি রব্বিকা হীনা তাকুম্।
So wait patiently (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) for the Decision of your Lord, for verily, you are under Our Eyes ; and glorify the Praises of your Lord when you get up from sleep.
وَٱصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ فَإِنَّكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ
Wamina allayli fasabbihhu waidbara alnnujoomi
অ মিনাল্লাইলি ফাসাব্বিহ্হু অইদ্বা-রন্ নুজুম্
And in the nighttime also glorify His Praises - and at the setting of the stars.
وَمِنَ ٱلَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْهُ وَإِدْبَٰرَ ٱلنُّجُومِ
