Chapter 84, 25 verses
Itha alssamao inshaqqat
বিসমিল্লাহির রাহমা-নির রাহি-ম ইযাস্ সামা-য়ুন্ শাকক্বত্।
When the sky is rent asunder,
إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنشَقَّتْ
Waathinat lirabbiha wahuqqat
অআযিনাত্ লিরব্বিহা-অহুকক্বত্
And hearkens to (the Command of) its Lord, and it must needs (do so); -
وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ
Waitha alardu muddat
অইযাল্ র্আদুমুদ্দাত্।
And when the earth is flattened out,
وَإِذَا ٱلْأَرْضُ مُدَّتْ
Waalqat ma feeha watakhallat
অআল্ক্বত্ মা-ফীহা-অতাখল্লাত্।
And casts forth what is within it and becomes (clean) empty,
وَأَلْقَتْ مَا فِيهَا وَتَخَلَّتْ
Waathinat lirabbiha wahuqqat
অআযিনাত্ লিরব্বিহা-অহুকক্বত্।
And hearkens to (the Command of) its Lord, - and it must needs (do so); - (then will come Home the full reality).
وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ
Ya ayyuha alinsanu innaka kadihun ila rabbika kadhan famulaqeehi
ইয়া য় আইয়ুহাল্ ইন্সা-নু ইন্নাকা কা-দিহুন্ ইলা-রব্বিকা কাদ্হান্ ফামুলাক্বীহ্।
O thou man! Verily thou art ever toiling on towards thy Lord - painfully toiling, - but thou shalt meet Him.
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ إِنَّكَ كَادِحٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ كَدْحًا فَمُلَٰقِيهِ
Faama man ootiya kitabahu biyameenihi
ফা আম্মা-মান্ ঊতিয়া কিতা-বাহূ বিইয়ামীনিহী।
Then he who is given his Record in his right hand,
فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ بِيَمِينِهِۦ
Fasawfa yuhasabu hisaban yaseeran
ফাসাওফা ইয়ুহা-সাবু হিসা-বাইঁ ইয়াসীরন।
Soon will his account be taken by an easy reckoning,
فَسَوْفَ يُحَاسَبُ حِسَابًا يَسِيرًا
Wayanqalibu ila ahlihi masrooran
অ ইয়ান্ক্বলিবু ইলা-আহ্লিহী মাস্রূর-
And he will turn to his people, rejoicing!
وَيَنقَلِبُ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ مَسْرُورًا
Waamma man ootiya kitabahu waraa thahrihi
অ আম্মা-মান ঊতিয়া কিতা-বাহূ অর-য়া জোয়াহ্ রিহী।
But he who is given his Record behind his back, -
وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ وَرَآءَ ظَهْرِهِۦ
Fasawfa yadAAoo thubooran
ফাসাওফা ইয়াদ্ ঊ' ছুবূরও।
Soon will he cry for perdition,
فَسَوْفَ يَدْعُوا۟ ثُبُورًا
Wayasla saAAeeran
অ ইয়াছ্লা- সা'ঈরা-।
And he will enter a Blazing Fire.
وَيَصْلَىٰ سَعِيرًا
Innahu kana fee ahlihi masrooran
ইন্নাহূ কা-না ফী য় আহ্লিহী মাস্রূরা-।
Truly, did he go about among his people, rejoicing!
إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ فِىٓ أَهْلِهِۦ مَسْرُورًا
Innahu thanna an lan yahoora
ইন্নাহূ জোয়ান্না আল্লাইঁ ইয়ার্হূ।
Truly, did he think that he would not have to return (to Us)!
إِنَّهُۥ ظَنَّ أَن لَّن يَحُورَ
Bala inna rabbahu kana bihi baseeran
বালা য় ইন্না রব্বাহূ কা-না বিহী বাছীরা-।
Nay, nay! for his Lord was (ever) watchful of him!
بَلَىٰٓ إِنَّ رَبَّهُۥ كَانَ بِهِۦ بَصِيرًا
Fala oqsimu bialshshafaqi
ফালা য় উকসিমু বিশ্শাফাক্বি
So I do call to witness the ruddy glow of Sunset;
فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلشَّفَقِ
Waallayli wama wasaqa
অল্লাইলি অমা-অসাক্ব।
The Night and its Homing;
وَٱلَّيْلِ وَمَا وَسَقَ
Waalqamari itha ittasaqa
অল্ক্বামারি ইযাত্তাসাক্ব।
And the Moon in her fullness:
وَٱلْقَمَرِ إِذَا ٱتَّسَقَ
Latarkabunna tabaqan AAan tabaqin
লার্তাকাবুন্না ত্বোয়াবাক্বন্ 'আন্ ত্বোয়াবাক।
Ye shall surely travel from stage to stage.
لَتَرْكَبُنَّ طَبَقًا عَن طَبَقٍ
Fama lahum la yuminoona
ফামা-লাহুম্ লা-ইয়ুমিনূনা।
What then is the matter with them, that they believe not? -
فَمَا لَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
Waitha quria AAalayhimu alquranu la yasjudoona
অইযা-কুরিয়া 'আলাইহিমুল্ কুরআ-নু লা-ইয়াস্জুদুন্।
And when the Qur'an is read to them, they fall not prostrate,
وَإِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ لَا يَسْجُدُونَ
Bali allatheena kafaroo yukaththiboona
বালিল্লাযীনা কাফারূ ইয়ুকায্যিবূন্।
But on the contrary the Unbelievers reject (it).
بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يُكَذِّبُونَ
WaAllahu aAAlamu bima yooAAoona
অল্লা-হু আ'লামু বিমা-ইয়ু'ঊন্।
But Allah has full knowledge of what they secrete (in their breasts)
وَٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يُوعُونَ
Fabashshirhum biAAathabin aleemin
ফাবার্শ্শিহুম্ বি'আযা-বিন্ আলীমিন্।
So announce to them a Penalty Grievous,
فَبَشِّرْهُم بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ
Illa allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati lahum ajrun ghayru mamnoonin
ইল্লাল্লাযীনা আ-মানূ অ'আমিলুছ্ ছোয়া-লিহা-তি লাহুম্ আজরুন্ গইরু মাম্নূন্।
Except to those who believe and work righteous deeds: For them is a Reward that will never fail.
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ لَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍۭ
