Chapter 23, 118 verses
Qad aflaha almuminoona
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. indeed are the believers.
মুমিনরা অবশ্য সাফল্যলাভ করেই চলছে, - -
Allatheena hum fee salatihim khashiAAoona
Those who offer their Salat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness.
যারা স্বয়ং তাদের নামাযে বিনয় - নম্র হয়,
Waallatheena hum AAani allaghwi muAAridoona
And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that Allah has forbidden).
আর যারা অসার ক্রিয়াকলাপ থেকে নিজেরাই সরে থাকে,
Waallatheena hum lilzzakati faAAiloona
And those who pay the Zakat.
আর যারা স্বয়ং যাকাতদানে করিতকর্মা,
Waallatheena hum lifuroojihim hafithoona
And those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts)
আর যারা নিজেরাই তাদের আঙ্গিক কর্তব্যাবলী সম্পর্কে যত্নবান, - -
Illa AAala azwajihim aw ma malakat aymanuhum fainnahum ghayru maloomeena
Except from their wives or (the slaves) that their right hands possess, - for then, they are free from blame;
তবে নিজেদের দম্পতি অথবা তাদের ডানহাতে যাদের ধরে রেখেছে তাদের ছাড়া, কেননা সেক্ষেত্রে তারা নিন্দনীয় নহে,
Famani ibtagha waraa thalika faolaika humu alAAadoona
But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors;
কিন্ত যে এর বাইরে যাওয়া কামনা করে তাহলে তারা নিজেরাই হবে সীমালংঘনকারী।
Waallatheena hum liamanatihim waAAahdihim raAAoona
Those who are faithfully true to their Amanat (all the duties which Allah has ordained, honesty, moral responsibility and trusts) and to their covenants;
আর যারা স্বয়ং তাদের আমানত সন্বন্ধে ও তাদের অংগীকার সন্বন্ধে সজাগ থাকে,
Waallatheena hum AAala salawatihim yuhafithoona
And those who strictly guard their (five compulsory congregational) Salawat (prayers) (at their fixed stated hours).
আর যারা নিজেরা তাদের সন্বন্ধে সদা - যত্নবান।
Olaika humu alwarithoona
These are indeed the inheritors
তারা নিজেরাই হবে পরম সেভাগ্যের অধিকারী, - -
Allatheena yarithoona alfirdawsa hum feeha khalidoona
Who shall inherit the Firdaus (Paradise). They shall dwell therein forever.
যারা উত্তরাধিকার করবে বেহেশত, তাতে তারা থাকবে স্থায়ীভাবে।
Walaqad khalaqna alinsana min sulalatin min teenin
And indeed We created man (Adam) out of an extract of clay (water and earth).
আর আমরা নিশ্চয়ই মানুষকে সৃষ্টি করেছি কাদার নির্যাস থেকে,
Thumma jaAAalnahu nutfatan fee qararin makeenin
Thereafter We made him (the offspring of Adam) as a Nutfah (mixed drops of the male and female sexual discharge and lodged it) in a safe lodging (womb of the woman).
তারপর আমরা তাকে বানাই শুক্রকীট এক নিরাপদ অবস্থান স্থলে,
Thumma khalaqna alnnutfata AAalaqatan fakhalaqna alAAalaqata mudghatan fakhalaqna almudghata AAithaman fakasawna alAAithama lahman thumma anshanahu khalqan akhara fatabaraka Allahu ahsanu alkhaliqeena
Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So Blessed is Allah, the Best of creators.
তারপর আমরা শুক্রকীটটিকে বানাই একটি রক্তপিন্ড, তারপর রক্তপিন্ডকে আমরা বানাই একটি মাংসের তাল, তারপর মাংসের তালে আমরা সৃষ্টি করি হাড়গোড়, তারপর হাড়গোড়কে আমরা ঢেকে দিই মাংসপেশী দিয়ে, তারপরে আমরা তাকে পরিণত করি অন্য এক সৃষ্টিতে। সেইজন্য রই অপার মহিমা, কত শ্রেষ্ঠ এই স্রষ্টা!
Thumma innakum baAAda thalika lamayyitoona
After that, surely, you will die.
তারপর নিঃসন্দেহ তোমরা এর পরে তো মৃত্যু বরণ করবে।
Thumma innakum yawma alqiyamati tubAAathoona
Then (again), surely, you will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection.
তারপর তোমাদের অবশ্যই কিয়ামতের দিনে পুনরুত্থিত করা হবে।
Walaqad khalaqna fawqakum sabAAa taraiqa wama kunna AAani alkhalqi ghafileena
And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation.
আর আমরা নিশ্চয়ই তোমাদের উপরে সৃষ্টি করেছি সাতটি পথ, আর সৃষ্টি সন্বন্ধে আমরা কখনও উদাসীন নই।
Waanzalna mina alssamai maan biqadarin faaskannahu fee alardi wainna AAala thahabin bihi laqadiroona
And We sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure, and We gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, We are Able to take it away.
আর আমরা আকাশ থেকে বর্ষণ করি পানি একটি পরিমাপ মতো, তারপর আমরা তাকে মাটিতে সংরক্ষিত করি, আর নিঃসন্দেহ আমরা তা সরিয়ে নিতেও সক্ষম।
Faanshana lakum bihi jannatin min nakheelin waaAAnabin lakum feeha fawakihu katheeratun waminha takuloona
Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you, and whereof you eat.
তারপর তার দ্বারা আমরা তোমাদের জন্য সৃষ্টি করি খেজুরের ও আঙুরের বাগানসমূহ। তোমাদের জন্য তাতে রয়েছে প্রচুর ফলফসল, আর তা থেকে তোমরা খাওয়া - দাওয়া করো।
Washajaratan takhruju min toori saynaa tanbutu bialdduhni wasibghin lilakileena
And a tree (olive) that springs forth from Mount Sinai, that grows (produces) oil, and (it is a) relish for the eaters.
আর গাছ যা জন্মে সিনাই পাহাড়ে, তা উৎপাদন করে তেল ও জেলি আহারকারীদের জন্য।
Wainna lakum fee alanAAami laAAibratan nusqeekum mimma fee butooniha walakum feeha manafiAAu katheeratun waminha takuloona
And verily in the cattle there is indeed a lesson for you. We give you to drink (milk) of that which is in their bellies. And there are, in them, numerous (other) benefits for you, and of them you eat.
আর নিঃসন্দেহ গবাদি - পশুতে তোমাদের জন্য রয়েছে শিক্ষণীয় বিষয়। আমরা তোমাদের পান করতে দিই তাদের পেটের মধ্যে যা আছে তা থেকে, আর তাদের মধ্যে তোমাদের জন্য আছে প্রচুর উপকারিতা, আর তাদের থেকে তোমরা খাও,
WaAAalayha waAAala alfulki tuhmaloona
And on them, and on ships you are carried.
আর তাদের উপরে এবং জাহাজে তোমাদের বহন করা হয়।
Walaqad arsalna noohan ila qawmihi faqala ya qawmi oAAbudoo Allaha ma lakum min ilahin ghayruhu afala tattaqoona
And indeed We sent Nuh (Noah) to his people, and he said: "O my people! Worship Allah! You have no other Ilah (God) but Him (Islamic Monotheism). Will you not then be afraid (of Him i.e. of His punishment because of worshipping others besides Him)?"
আর আমরা অবশ্যই নূহকে তাঁর স্বজাতিক কাছে পাঠিয়েছিলাম, তখন তিনি বলেছিলেন, ''হে আমার স্বজাতি! তোমরা র উপাসনা করো, তিনি ছাড়া তোমাদের জন্য অন্য কোন উপাস্য নেই। তোমরা কি তবুও ভক্তি - শ্রদ্ধা করবে না?’’
Faqala almalao allatheena kafaroo min qawmihi ma hatha illa basharun mithlukum yureedu an yatafaddala AAalaykum walaw shaa Allahu laanzala malaikatan ma samiAAna bihatha fee abaina alawwaleena
But the chiefs of his people who disbelieved said: "He is no more than a human being like you, he seeks to make himself superior to you. Had Allah willed, He surely could have sent down angels. Never did we hear such a thing among our fathers of old.
তখন তাঁর স্বজাতির মধ্যে যারা অবিশ্বাস পোষণ করেছিল তাদের প্রধানরা বললে - - ''সে তো তোমাদের মতো একজন মানুষ ছাড়া আর কিছু নয়, সে তোমাদের উপরে প্রাধান্য প্রতিষ্ঠা করতে চাইছে। বস্তুতঃ যদি চাইতেন তবে তিনি নিশ্চয়ই ফিরিশ্তাদের পাঠাতে পারতেন। আমরা তো পূর্ববর্তীকালের আমাদের পিতৃপুরুষদের মধ্যে এমনটা শুনি নি।
In huwa illa rajulun bihi jinnatun fatarabbasoo bihi hatta heenin
"He is only a man in whom is madness, so wait for him a while."
''সে তো একজন মানুষ মাত্র যাকে ভূতে ধরেছে, কাজেই কিছুকাল তাকে সহ্য ক’রে চল।’’
Qala rabbi onsurnee bima kaththabooni
[Nuh (Noah)] said: "O my Lord! Help me because they deny me."
তিনি বললেন - - ''আমার প্রভু! আমাকে সাহায্য করো তারা আমার প্রতি যা মিথ্যারোপ করছে সেজন্য।’’
Faawhayna ilayhi ani isnaAAi alfulka biaAAyunina wawahyina faitha jaa amruna wafara alttannooru faosluk feeha min kullin zawjayni ithnayni waahlaka illa man sabaqa AAalayhi alqawlu minhum wala tukhatibnee fee allatheena thalamoo innahum mughraqoona
So We revealed to him (saying): "Construct the ship under Our Eyes and under Our Revelation (guidance). Then, when Our Command comes, and water gushes forth from the oven, take on board of each kind two (male and female), and your family, except those thereof against whom the Word has already gone forth. And address Me not in favour of those who have done wrong. Verily, they are to be drowned.
কাজেকাজেই আমরা তাঁর কাছে প্রত্যাদেশ পাঠালাম এই বলে - - ''আমাদের চোখের সামনে এবং আমাদের প্রত্যাদেশ মোতাবেক জাহাজটি তৈরি কর, তারপর আমাদের নির্দেশ যখন আসবে ও পানি উথলে উঠবে তখন তাতে উঠিয়ে নাও হরেক রকমের জোড়ায় - জোড়ায়, দুটি ক’রে, আর তোমার পরিবার পরিজনকে, - - তাদের মধ্যের যার বিরুদ্ধে বক্তব্য ঘোষিত হয়েছে তাকে ব্যতীত আর যারা অন্যায়াচরণ করেছে তাদের সন্বন্ধে তুমি আমার কাছে বলাবলি করো না। তারা তো নিমজ্জিত হবেই।
Faitha istawayta anta waman maAAaka AAala alfulki faquli alhamdu lillahi allathee najjana mina alqawmi alththalimeena
And when you have embarked on the ship, you and whoever is with you, then say: "All the praises and thanks be to Allah, Who has saved us from the people who are Zalimun (i.e. oppressors, wrong-doers, polytheists, those who join others in worship with Allah).
''আর যখন তুমি জাহাজে আরোহণ করবে, তুমি ও যারা তোমার সাথে রয়েছে তারা তখন বলো - - 'সকল প্রশংসা র যিনি আমাদের উদ্ধার করেছেন অত্যাচারী জাতির থেকে।’
Waqul rabbi anzilnee munzalan mubarakan waanta khayru almunzileena
And say: "My Lord! Cause me to land at a blessed landing-place, for You are the Best of those who bring to land."
''আর বলো - - 'আমার প্রভু! আমাকে পুণ্যময় অবতরণ করতে দাও, কেননা অবতরণকারকদের মধ্যে তুমিই সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ’।’’
Inna fee thalika laayatin wain kunna lamubtaleena
Verily, in this [what We did as regards drowning of the people of Nuh (Noah)], there are indeed Ayat (proofs, evidence, lessons, signs, etc. for men to understand), for sure We are ever putting (men) to the test.
নিঃসন্দেহ এতে তো নিদর্শন রয়েছে, আর আমরা তো শৃঙ্খলাবদ্ধ করছিলাম।
Thumma anshana min baAAdihim qarnan akhareena
Then, after them, We created another generation.
তারপর আমরা তাদের পরে পত্তন করেছিলাম অন্য এক বংশকে।
Faarsalna feehim rasoolan minhum ani oAAbudoo Allaha ma lakum min ilahin ghayruhu afala tattaqoona
And We sent to them a Messenger from among themselves (saying): "Worship Allah! You have no other Ilah (God) but Him. Will you not then be afraid (of Him i.e. of His punishment because of worshipping others besides Him)?"
তখন আমরা তাদের মধ্যে পাঠিয়েছিলাম তাদেরই মধ্যে থেকে একজন রসূল এই বলে - - ''র উপাসনা করো, তিনি ব্যতীত তোমাদের জন্য অন্য উপাস্য নেই। তোমরা কি তবে ভক্তি - শ্রদ্ধা করবে না?’’
Waqala almalao min qawmihi allatheena kafaroo wakaththaboo biliqai alakhirati waatrafnahum fee alhayati alddunya ma hatha illa basharun mithlukum yakulu mimma takuloona minhu wayashrabu mimma tashraboona
And the chiefs of his people who disbelieved and denied the Meeting in the Hereafter, and whom We had given the luxuries and comforts of this life, said: "He is no more than a human being like you, he eats of that which you eat, and drinks of what you drink.
আর তাঁর স্বজাতির মধ্যের প্রধানরা যারা অবিশ্বাস পোষণ করেছিল ও পরকালের মুলাকাতকে অস্বীকার করেছিল এবং এই দুনিয়ার জীবনে আমরা যাদের ভোগ - সার দিয়েছিলাম তারা বললে - - ''এ তো তোমাদের মতো একজন মানুষ ছাড়া আর কিছুই নয়, তোমরা যা থেকে খাও সেও তা থেকেই খায় এবং তোমরা যা পান কর সেও তা থেকেই পান করে।
Walain ataAAtum basharan mithlakum innakum ithan lakhasiroona
"If you were to obey a human being like yourselves, then verily you indeed would be losers.
''আর তোমরা যদি তোমাদের ন্যায় একজন মানুষেরই আজ্ঞা - পালন কর তাহলে তো তোমরা সেই মুহূর্তেই ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হবে।
AyaAAidukum annakum itha mittum wakuntum turaban waAAithaman annakum mukhrajoona
"Does he promise you that when you have died and have become dust and bones, you shall come out alive (resurrected)?
''সে কি তোমাদের প্রতিশ্রুতি দেয় যে যখন তোমরা মারা যাবে এবং তোমরা ধুলোমাটি ও হাড়পাঁজরাতে পরিণত হবে তখন তোমরা বহির্গত হবে?
Hayhata hayhata lima tooAAadoona
"Far, very far is that which you are promised!
''বহুদূর! তোমাদের যা ওয়াদা করা হচ্ছে তা বহুদূর।
In hiya illa hayatuna alddunya namootu wanahya wama nahnu bimabAAootheena
"There is nothing but our life of this world! We die and we live! And we are not going to be resurrected!
''আমাদের এই দুনিয়ার জীবন ছাড়া কিছুই তো নেই, আমরা মরব আর আমরা বেঁচে আছি, আর আমরা তো পুনরুত্থিত হব না।
In huwa illa rajulun iftara AAala Allahi kathiban wama nahnu lahu bimumineena
"He is only a man who has invented a lie against Allah, and we are not going to believe in him."
''সে একজন মানুষ বৈ তো নয় যে সন্বন্ধে মিথ্যা উদ্ভাবন করেছে, আর আমরা তো তার প্রতি আস্থাবান হতে পারছি না।’’
Qala rabbi onsurnee bima kaththabooni
He said: "O my Lord! Help me because they deny me."
তিনি বললেন - - ''আমার প্রভু! আমাকে তুমি সাহায্য করো যেহেতু তারা আমার প্রতি মিথ্যারোপ করছে।’’
Qala AAamma qaleelin layusbihunna nadimeena
(Allah) said: "In a little while, they are sure to be regretful."
তিনি বললেন - - ''অল্পক্ষণের মধ্যেই তারা আলবৎ অনুতাপ করতে থাকবে।’’
Faakhathathumu alssayhatu bialhaqqi fajaAAalnahum ghuthaan fabuAAdan lilqawmi alththalimeena
So As-Saihah (torment - awful cry) overtook them in truth (with justice), and We made them as rubbish of dead plants. So away with the people who are Zalimun (polytheists, wrong-doers, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, disobedient to His Messengers).
কাজেই এক মহাগর্জন তাদের পাকড়াও করল সঙ্গতভাবেই, আর আমরা তাদের বানিয়ে দিলাম আবর্জনা, তাই দূর হ’ল অত্যাচারী জাতি!
Thumma anshana min baAAdihim quroonan akhareena
Then, after them, We created other generations.
তারপর আমরা তাদের পরে পত্তন করলাম অন্যান্য বংশদের।
Ma tasbiqu min ommatin ajalaha wama yastakhiroona
No nation can advance their term, nor can they delay it.
কোনো সম্প্রদায়ই তার নির্ধারিত কাল ত্বরান্বিত করতে পারবে না, আর তা বিলন্বিত করতেও পারবে না।
Thumma arsalna rusulana tatra kulla ma jaa ommatan rasooluha kaththaboohu faatbaAAna baAAdahum baAAdan wajaAAalnahum ahadeetha fabuAAdan liqawmin la yuminoona
Then We sent Our Messengers in succession. Every time there came to a nation their Messenger, they denied him; so We made them follow one another (to destruction), and We made them as Ahadith (the true stories for mankind to learn a lesson from them). So away with a people who believe not!
তারপর আমরা একের পর এক আমাদের রসূলগণকে পাঠিয়েছিলাম। যখনই কোনো সম্প্রদায়ের কাছে তার রসূল এসেছিলেন, তাঁকে তারা প্রত্যাখ্যান করেছিল, তাই আমরা তাদের একদলকে অন্য দলের পশ্চাদ্ধাবন করিয়েছিলাম, আর তাদের বানিয়েছিলাম কাহিনী। সুতরাং দূর হ’ তেমন জাতি যারা ঈমান আনে না!
Thumma arsalna moosa waakhahu haroona biayatina wasultanin mubeenin
Then We sent Musa (Moses) and his brother Harun (Aaron), with Our Ayat (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and manifest authority,
তারপর আমরা পাঠালাম মূসা ও তাঁর ভাই হারূনকে আমাদের নিদর্শনাবলী ও সুস্পষ্ট বিধান দিয়ে, - -
Ila firAAawna wamalaihi faistakbaroo wakanoo qawman AAaleena
To Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and his chiefs, but they behaved insolently and they were people self-exalting (by disobeying their Lord, and exalting themselves over and above the Messenger of Allah).
ফিরআউন ও তার পরিষদবর্গের কাছে, কিন্ত তারা অহংকার দেখিয়েছিল এবং তারা ছিল এক উদ্ধত জাতি।
Faqaloo anuminu libasharayni mithlina waqawmuhuma lana AAabidoona
They said: "Shall we believe in two men like ourselves, and their people are obedient to us with humility (and we use them to serve us as we like)."
কাজেই তারা বললে - - ''আমরা কি বিশ্বাস করব আমাদের ন্যায় দুজন মানুষকে, অথচ তাদের স্বজাতি আমাদেরই সেবারত?’’
Fakaththaboohuma fakanoo mina almuhlakeena
So they denied them both [Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)] and became of those who were destroyed.
সেজন্য তারা এদের দুজনকে প্রত্যাখ্যান করল, তার ফলে তারা ধ্বংসপ্রাপ্তদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হ’ল।
Walaqad atayna moosa alkitaba laAAallahum yahtadoona
And indeed We gave Musa (Moses) the Scripture, that they may be guided.
আর আমরা অবশ্যই মূসাকে গ্রন্থ দিয়েছিলাম যেন তারা সৎপথ অবলন্বন করতে পারে।
WajaAAalna ibna maryama waommahu ayatan waawaynahuma ila rabwatin thati qararin wamaAAeenin
And We made the son of Maryam (Mary) and his mother as a sign, and We gave them refuge on high ground, a place of rest, security and flowing streams.
আর আমরা মরিয়ম - পুত্র ও তাঁর মাতাকে করেছিলাম এক নিদর্শন, এবং তাঁদের উভয়কে আমরা আশ্রয় দিয়েছিলাম তৃণাচ্ছাদিত ও ঝরনা - রাজিতে ভরা এক পার্বত্য - উপত্যকায়।
Ya ayyuha alrrusulu kuloo mina alttayyibati waiAAmaloo salihan innee bima taAAmaloona AAaleemun
O (you) Messengers! Eat of the Tayyibat [all kinds of Halal foods which Allah has made lawful (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, milk products, fats, vegetables, fruits, etc.] and do righteous deeds. Verily! I am Well-Acquainted with what you do.
হে প্রিয় রসূলগণ! পবিত্র বস্তু থেকে তোমরা খাওয়া - দাওয়া করো আর ভাল কাজ করো। তোমরা যা করছ সে সন্বন্ধে আমি নিশ্চয়ই সর্বজ্ঞাতা।
Wainna hathihi ommatukum ommatan wahidatan waana rabbukum faittaqooni
And verily this your religion (of Islamic Monotheism) is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear (keep your duty to) Me.
আর - - ''নিঃসন্দেহ তোমাদের এই সম্প্রদায় একই সম্প্রদায়, আর আমিই তোমাদের প্রভু, অতএব আমাকেই তোম রা ভক্তিশ্রদ্ধা করো।’’
FataqattaAAoo amrahum baynahum zuburan kullu hizbin bima ladayhim farihoona
But they (men) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing in what is with it (as its beliefs).
কিন্ত তারা নিজেদের মধ্যে তাদের অনুশাসন টুকরো - টুকরো ক’রে কেটে ফেলল। প্রত্যেক দলই তাদের কাছে যেসব রয়েছে তাতেই সন্তষ্ট।
Fatharhum fee ghamratihim hatta heenin
So leave them in their error for a time.
সেজন্য তাদের থাকতে দাও তাদের বিভ্রান্তিতে কিছুকালের জন্য।
Ayahsaboona annama numidduhum bihi min malin wabaneena
Do they think that in wealth and children with which We enlarge them
তারা কি ভাবে যে যেহেতু আমরা তাদের মাল - আসবাব ও সন্তান - সন্ততি দিয়ে যাচ্ছি, - -
NusariAAu lahum fee alkhayrati bal la yashAAuroona
We hasten unto them with good things. Nay, [it is a Fitnah (trial) in this worldly life so that they will have no share of good things in the Hereafter] but they perceive not. [Tafsir Al-Qurtubi].
আমরা তাদের জন্য মঙ্গলময় বস্তু ত্বরান্বিত করছি? না, তারা বুঝতে পারছে না।
Inna allatheena hum min khashyati rabbihim mushfiqoona
Verily those who live in awe for fear of their Lord;
নিঃসন্দেহ যারা খোদ তাদের প্রভুর ভয়ে ভীত - সন্ত্রস্ত,
Waallatheena hum biayati rabbihim yuminoona
And those who believe in the Ayat (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord;
আর যারা স্বয়ং তাদের প্রভুর নির্দেশাবলীতে বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে,
Waallatheena hum birabbihim la yushrikoona
And those who join not anyone (in worship) as partners with their Lord;
আর যারা তাদের প্রভুর সঙ্গে শরিক করে না,
Waallatheena yutoona ma ataw waquloobuhum wajilatun annahum ila rabbihim rajiAAoona
And those who give that (their charity) which they give (and also do other good deeds) with their hearts full of fear (whether their alms and charities have been accepted or not), because they are sure to return to their Lord (for reckoning).
আর যারা প্রদান করে যা দেবার আছে, আর তাদের হৃদয় ভীত - কম্পিত যেহেতু তারা তাদের প্রভুর কাছে প্রত্যাবর্তনকারী, - -
Olaika yusariAAoona fee alkhayrati wahum laha sabiqoona
It is these who hasten in the good deeds, and they are foremost in them [e.g. offering the compulsory Salat (prayers) in their (early) stated, fixed times and so on].
এরাই মঙ্গল সাধনে প্রতিযোগিতা করে, আর এরাই তো এতে অগ্রগামী হয়।
Wala nukallifu nafsan illa wusAAaha waladayna kitabun yantiqu bialhaqqi wahum la yuthlamoona
And We task not any person except according to his capacity, and with Us is a Record which speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged.
আর আমরা কোনো সত্ত্বাকে তার ক্ষমতার অতিরিক্ত কষ্ট দিই না, আর আমাদের কাছে আছে একটি গ্রন্থ যা হক কথা বলে দেয়, আর তাদের অন্যায় করা হয় না।
Bal quloobuhum fee ghamratin min hatha walahum aAAmalun min dooni thalika hum laha AAamiloona
Nay, but their hearts are covered from (understanding) this (the Qur'an), and they have other (evil) deeds, besides, which they are doing.
কিন্ত তাদের হৃদয় এ ব্যাপারে তালগোল পাকানো অবস্থায় রয়েছে, আর এ ছাড়াও তাদের জন্য রয়েছে অন্যান্য কীর্তিকলাপ যে - সবে তারা করিতকর্মা।
Hatta itha akhathna mutrafeehim bialAAathabi itha hum yajaroona
Until when We seize those of them who lead a luxurious life with punishment: behold they make humble invocation with a loud voice.
যে পর্যন্ত না আমরা তাদের মধ্যের সমৃদ্ধিশালী লোকদের শাস্তি দিয়ে পাকড়াও করি তখনই তারা আর্তনাদ ক’রে ওঠে।
La tajaroo alyawma innakum minna la tunsaroona
Invoke not loudly this day! Certainly you shall not be helped by Us.
''আজ আর্তনাদ করো না, নিঃসন্দেহ তোমাদের ক্ষেত্রে - - আমাদের থেকে তোমাদের সাহায্য করা হবে না।
Qad kanat ayatee tutla AAalaykum fakuntum AAala aAAqabikum tankisoona
Indeed My Verses used to be recited to you, but you used to turn back on your heels (denying them, and refusing with hatred to listen to them).
তোমাদের কাছে আমার বাণীসমূহ অবশ্যই পাঠ করা হত, কিন্ত তোমরা তোমাদের গোড়ালির উপরে মোড় ফিরে চলে যেতে - -
Mustakbireena bihi samiran tahjuroona
In pride (they - Quraish pagans and polytheists of Makkah used to feel proud that they are the dwellers of Makkah sanctuary - Haram), talking evil about it (the Qur'an) by night.
''অহংকারের সাথে, এ ব্যাপারে সারারাত আবোল - তাবোল গল্পগুজব করতে করতে।’’
Afalam yaddabbaroo alqawla am jaahum ma lam yati abaahumu alawwaleena
Have they not pondered over the Word (of Allah, i.e. what is sent down to the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم), or has there come to them what had not come to their fathers of old?
তবে কি তারা চিন্তা করে না এ বাণী সন্বন্ধে? অথবা তাদের কাছে কি এমন কিছু এসেছে যা তাদের পূর্ববর্তী বাপদাদাদের কাছে আসে নি?
Am lam yaAArifoo rasoolahum fahum lahu munkiroona
Or is it that they did not recognize their Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) so they deny him?
অথবা তারা কি তাদের রসূলকে চিনতে পারছে না যেজন্য তারা তাঁর প্রতি বিমুখ রয়েছে?
Am yaqooloona bihi jinnatun bal jaahum bialhaqqi waaktharuhum lilhaqqi karihoona
Or say they: There is madness in him? Nay, but he brought them the truth [i.e. Tauhid: Worshipping Allah Alone in all aspects, the Qur'an and the religion of Islam], but most of them (the disbelievers) are averse to the truth.
অথবা তারা কি বলে যে তাঁকে জিন - ভূতে ধরেছে? বস্তুতঃ তিনি তাদের কাছে সত্য নিয়ে এসেছেন, কিন্ত তাদের অধিকাংশই সত্য - সন্বন্ধে উদাসীন।
Walawi ittabaAAa alhaqqu ahwaahum lafasadati alssamawatu waalardu waman feehinna bal ataynahum bithikrihim fahum AAan thikrihim muAAridoona
And if the truth had been in accordance with their desires, verily, the heavens and the earth, and whosoever is therein would have been corrupted! Nay, We have brought them their reminder, but they turn away from their reminder.
আর যদি সত্য তাদের কামনার অনুসরণ করত তবে মহাকাশ - মন্ডলী ও পৃথিবী এবং তাদের মধ্যে যা আছে সবই বিশৃঙ্খল হয়ে পড়ত। পক্ষান্তরে আমরা তাদের কাছে তাদের স্মরণীয় বার্তা নিয়ে এসেছি, কিন্ত তারা তাদের স্মারক - গ্রন্থ থেকে বিমুখ থাকে।
Am tasaluhum kharjan fakharaju rabbika khayrun wahuwa khayru alrraziqeena
Or is it that you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) ask them for some wages? But the recompense of your Lord is better, and He is the Best of those who give sustenance.
অথবা তুমি কি তাদের কাছ থেকে কোনো প্রতিদান চাইছ। বস্তুতঃ তোমার প্রভুর প্রতিদানই সর্বোত্তম, আর রিযেক - দাতাদের মধ্যে তিনিই সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ।
Wainnaka latadAAoohum ila siratin mustaqeemin
And certainly, you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) call them to the Straight Path (true religion - Islamic Monotheism).
আর নিঃসন্দেহ তুমি তো তাদের আহ্বান করছ সহজ - সঠিক পথের দিকে।
Wainna allatheena la yuminoona bialakhirati AAani alssirati lanakiboona
And verily, those who believe not in the Hereafter are indeed deviating far astray from the Path (true religion - Islamic Monotheism).
আর যারা পরকালে বিশ্বাস করে না তারা নিঃসন্দেহ পথ থেকে তো বিপথগামী।
Walaw rahimnahum wakashafna ma bihim min durrin lalajjoo fee tughyanihim yaAAmahoona
And though We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, still they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering blindly.
আর আমরা যদি তাদের প্রতি দয়া করি ও দুঃখ - দৈন্যের যা কিছু তাদের রয়েছে তা দূর করে দিই তথাপি তারা তাদের বিভ্রান্তিতে লেগে থাকবে অন্ধ - চক্কর দিতে দিতে।
Walaqad akhathnahum bialAAathabi fama istakanoo lirabbihim wama yatadarraAAoona
And indeed We seized them with punishment, but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor did they invoke (Allah) with submission to Him.
আর আমরা ইতিপূর্বেই তাদের শাস্তিদ্বারা পাকড়াও করেছি, তথাপি তারা তাদের প্রভুর কাছে বিনত হ’ল না, আর তারা কাকুতি - মিনতিও করল না।
Hatta itha fatahna AAalayhim baban tha AAathabin shadeedin itha hum feehi mublisoona
Until, when We open for them the gate of severe punishment, then lo! they will be plunged into destruction with deep regrets, sorrows and in despair.
শেষ পর্যন্ত যখন আমরা তাদের উপরে খুলে দিই কঠিন কঠিন শাস্তি থাকা দরজা তখন তারা হতাশ হয়ে পড়ে।
Wahuwa allathee anshaa lakumu alssamAAa waalabsara waalafidata qaleelan ma tashkuroona
It is He Who has created for you (the sense of) hearing (ears), eyes (sight), and hearts (understanding). Little thanks you give.
আর তিনিই সেইজন যিনি তোমাদের জন্য কান ও চোখ ও অন্তঃকরণ বানিয়ে দিয়েছেন। কিন্ত তোমরা তো অল্পই কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ কর।
Wahuwa allathee tharaakum fee alardi wailayhi tuhsharoona
And it is He Who has created you on the earth, and to Him you shall be gathered back.
আর তিনিই সেইজন যিনি পৃথিবীতে তোমাদের বহুগুণিত করেছেন, আর তাঁরই কাছে তোমাদের একত্রিত করা হবে।
Wahuwa allathee yuhyee wayumeetu walahu ikhtilafu allayli waalnnahari afala taAAqiloona
And it is He Who gives life and causes death, and His is the alternation of night and day. Will you not then understand?
আর তিনিই সেইজন যিনি জীবনদান করেন ও মৃত্যু ঘটান, আর রাত ও দিনের বিবর্তন তাঁরই অধীনে রয়েছে। তবুও কি তোমরা বুঝবে না?
Bal qaloo mithla ma qala alawwaloona
Nay, but they say the like of what the men of old said.
এতদসত্ত্বে পূর্ববর্তীরা যেমন বলত তেমনি এরাও বলাবলি করে।
Qaloo aitha mitna wakunna turaban waAAithaman ainna lamabAAoothoona
They said: "When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected indeed?
তারা বললে - - ''কি! আমরা যখন মরে যাই এবং ধুলো - মাটি ও হাড় - পাঁজরাতে পরিণত হই, তখন কি আমরা ঠিকঠিকই পুনরুত্থিত হব?
Laqad wuAAidna nahnu waabaona hatha min qablu in hatha illa asateeru alawwaleena
"Verily, this we have been promised - we and our fathers before (us)! This is only the tales of the ancients!"
''অবশ্যই এর আগে এটি আমাদের ওয়াদা করা হয়েছিল - - আমাদের কাছে ও আমাদের বাপদাদাদের কাছে। নিঃসন্দেহ এটি সেকালের উপকথা বৈ তো নয়।’’
Qul limani alardu waman feeha in kuntum taAAlamoona
Say: "Whose is the earth and whosoever is therein? If you know!"
তুমি বলো - - ''এই পৃথিবী ও এতে যারা আছে তারা কার, - - যদি তোমরা জানো?’’
Sayaqooloona lillahi qul afala tathakkaroona
They will say: "It is Allah's!" Say: "Will you not then remember?"
তারা তখন বলবে - - ''র!’’ তুমি বল - - ''কেন তবে তোমরা মনোনিবেশ করো না?’’
Qul man rabbu alssamawati alssabAAi warabbu alAAarshi alAAatheemi
Say: "Who is (the) Lord of the seven heavens, and (the) Lord of the Great Throne?"
বল - - ''কে সাত আসমানের প্রভু ও কে আরশের অধিপতি?’’
Sayaqooloona lillahi qul afala tattaqoona
They will say: "Allah." Say: "Will you not then fear Allah (believe in His Oneness, obey Him, believe in the Resurrection and Recompense for every good or bad deed)?"
তারা সঙ্গে সঙ্গে বলবে - - ''র।’’ তুমি বল - - ''তবে কেন তোমরা ভক্তিশ্রদ্ধা কর না?’’
Qul man biyadihi malakootu kulli shayin wahuwa yujeeru wala yujaru AAalayhi in kuntum taAAlamoona
Say "In Whose Hand is the sovereignty of everything (i.e. treasures of each and everything)? And He protects (all), while against Whom there is no protector, (i.e. if Allah saves anyone none can punish or harm him, and if Allah punishes or harms anyone none can save him), if you know?" [Tafsir Al-Qurtubi]
বল - - ''কে তিনি যাঁর হাতে সব - কিছুর কর্তৃত্ব রয়েছে, আর কে নিরাপত্তা প্রদান করেন অথচ তাঁকে নিরাপত্তা প্রদান করতে হয় না, যদি তোমরা জানো?’’
Sayaqooloona lillahi qul faanna tusharoona
They will say: "(All that belongs) to Allah." Say: "How then are you deceived and turn away from the truth?"
তারা সঙ্গে সঙ্গে বলবে - - ''র।’’ তুমি বল - - ''তবে কেমন ক’রে তোমাদের সম্মোহন করা হচ্ছে?’’
Bal ataynahum bialhaqqi wainnahum lakathiboona
Nay, but We have brought them the truth (Islamic Monotheism), and verily, they (disbelievers) are liars.
বস্তুতঃ আমরা তাদের কাছে সত্য নিয়ে এসেছি, কিন্ত তারা তো নিশ্চয়ই মিথ্যাবাদী।
Ma ittakhatha Allahu min waladin wama kana maAAahu min ilahin ithan lathahaba kullu ilahin bima khalaqa walaAAala baAAduhum AAala baAAdin subhana Allahi AAamma yasifoona
No son (or offspring) did Allah beget, nor is there any ilah (god) along with Him. (If there had been many gods), then each god would have taken away what he had created, and some would have tried to overcome others! Glorified be Allah above all that they attribute to Him!
কোনো সন্তান গ্রহণ করেন নি, আর তাঁর সঙ্গে অন্য কোনো উপাস্যও নেই, যদি থাকত তবে প্রত্যেক উপাস্য আলবৎ নিয়ে যেত যা - কিছু সে সৃষ্টি করেছে, আর তাদের কেউ - কেউ অন্যদের উপরে প্রাধান্য বিস্তার করত। সকল মহিমা র, তারা যা আরোপ করে তা থেকে তিনি উর্ধ্বে, - -
AAalimi alghaybi waalshshahadati fataAAala AAamma yushrikoona
All-Knower of the unseen and the seen! Exalted be He over all that they associate as partners to Him!
তিনি ও দৃশ্য সন্বন্ধে পরিজ্ঞাত, কাজেই তারা যা শরিক করে তিনি সে - সবের বহু উর্ধ্বে?
Qul rabbi imma turiyannee ma yooAAadoona
Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "My Lord! If You would show me that with which they are threatened (torment),
বলো - - ''আমার প্রভু! যদি তুমি আমাকে দেখতে দাও যা তাদের ওয়াদা করা হয়েছে, - -
Rabbi fala tajAAalnee fee alqawmi alththalimeena
"My Lord! Then (save me from Your punishment), put me not amongst the people who are the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers)."
''আমার প্রভু! তাহলে আমাকে তুমি অত্যাচারী জাতির সঙ্গে স্থাপন করো না।’’
Wainna AAala an nuriyaka ma naAAiduhum laqadiroona
And indeed We are Able to show you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) that with which We have threatened them.
আর নিঃসন্দেহ তাদের আমরা যা ওয়াদা করেছি তা তোমাকে দেখাতে আমরা অবশ্যই সক্ষম।
IdfaAA biallatee hiya ahsanu alssayyiata nahnu aAAlamu bima yasifoona
Repel evil with that which is better. We are Best-Acquainted with the things they utter.
যা শ্রেষ্ঠ তাই দিয়ে মন্দ বিষয় প্রতিরোধ করো। আমরা ভাল জানি যা তারা আরোপ করে।
Waqul rabbi aAAoothu bika min hamazati alshshayateeni
And say: "My Lord! I seek refuge with You from the whisperings (suggestions) of the Shayatin (devils).
আর বল - - ''আমার প্রভু! আমি তোমার কাছে আশ্রয় চাইছি শয়তানদের কুমন্ত্রণা থেকে,
WaaAAoothu bika rabbi an yahdurooni
"And I seek refuge with You, My Lord! lest they should come near me."
''আর আমার প্রভু! তোমারই কাছে আমি আশ্রয় নিচ্ছি পাছে তারা আমার কাছে হাজির হয়।’’
Hatta itha jaa ahadahumu almawtu qala rabbi irjiAAooni
Until, when death comes to one of them (those who join partners with Allah), he says: "My Lord! Send me back,
যে পর্যন্ত না তাদের কারোর কাছে মৃত্যু উপস্থিত হয় তখন সে বলে - - ''আমার প্রভু! আমাকে ফেরত পাঠাও - -
LaAAallee aAAmalu salihan feema taraktu kalla innaha kalimatun huwa qailuha wamin waraihim barzakhun ila yawmi yubAAathoona
"So that I may do good in that which I have left behind!" No! It is but a word that he speaks; and behind them is Barzakh (a barrier) until the Day when they will be resurrected.
''যেন আমি সৎকর্ম করতে পারি সেইখানে যা আমি ছেড়ে এসেছি।’’ কখনোই না! এ তো শুধু একটি মুখের কথা যা সে বলছে। আর তার সামনে রয়েছে 'বরযখ’ সেইদিন পর্যন্ত যখন তাদের পুনরুত্থান করা হবে।
Faitha nufikha fee alssoori fala ansaba baynahum yawmaithin wala yatasaaloona
Then, when the Trumpet is blown, there will be no kinship among them that Day, nor will they ask of one another.
তারপর যখন শিঙায় ফুকে দেঁওয়া হবে, তখন তাদের মধ্যে সেইদিন কোনো আত্মীয়তার বন্ধন থাকবে না, আর তারা খোঁজ - খবরও নেবে না।
Faman thaqulat mawazeenuhu faolaika humu almuflihoona
Then, those whose scales (of good deeds) are heavy, they are the .
কাজেই যাদের পাল্লা ভারী হবে তারা নিজেরাই তবে হচ্ছে ।
Waman khaffat mawazeenuhu faolaika allatheena khasiroo anfusahum fee jahannama khalidoona
And those whose scales (of good deeds) are light, they are those who lose their ownselves, in Hell will they abide.
আর যাদের পাল্লা হাল্কা হবে এরাই তবে তারা যারা নিজেদের ক্ষতিসাধন করেছে, তারা জাহান্নামে থাকবে দীর্ঘকাল।
Talfahu wujoohahumu alnnaru wahum feeha kalihoona
The Fire will burn their faces, and therein they will grin, with displaced lips (disfigured).
আগুন তাদের মুখ পুড়িয়ে দেবে। আর তারা সেখানে হবে বিকৃত - বীভৎস।
Alam takun ayatee tutla AAalaykum fakuntum biha tukaththiboona
"Were not My Verses (this Qur'an) recited to you, and then you used to deny them?"
''তোমরা কি এমন যে আমার বাণীসমূহ তোমাদের কাছে পাঠ করা হয় নি, যে - জন্যে তোমরা সে - সব প্রত্যাখ্যান করতে?’’
Qaloo rabbana ghalabat AAalayna shiqwatuna wakunna qawman dalleena
They will say: "Our Lord! Our wretchedness overcame us, and we were (an) erring people.
তারা বলবে - - ''আমাদের প্রভু! আমাদের দুর্দশা আমাদের উপরে প্রভাব বিস্তার করেছিল, এবং আমরা পথভ্রষ্ট জাতি হয়ে গিয়েছিলাম।
Rabbana akhrijna minha fain AAudna fainna thalimoona
"Our Lord! Bring us out of this. If ever we return (to evil), then indeed we shall be Zalimun: (polytheists, oppressors, unjust, and wrong-doers)."
''আমাদের প্রভু! এখান থেকে আমাদের বের করে দাও, তখন যদি আমরা ফিরি তাহলে আমরা নিশ্চয়ই অন্যায়কারী হব।’’
Qala ikhsaoo feeha wala tukallimooni
He (Allah) will say: "Remain you in it with ignominy! And speak you not to Me!"
তিনি বললেন - - ''এর মধ্যেই তোমরা ঢোকে থাক। আর আমার সঙ্গে কথা বল না।
Innahu kana fareequn min AAibadee yaqooloona rabbana amanna faighfir lana wairhamna waanta khayru alrrahimeena
Verily there was a party of My slaves, who used to say: "Our Lord! We believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of all who show mercy!"
''নিঃসন্দেহ আমার বান্দাদের মধ্যের একটি দল ছিল যারা বলত, 'আমার প্রভু! আমরা ঈমান এনেছি, কাজেই আমাদের পরিত্রাণ করো, যেহেতু তুমিই তো করুণাময়দের মধ্যে সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ!’
Faittakhathtumoohum sikhriyyan hatta ansawkum thikree wakuntum minhum tadhakoona
But you took them for a laughing stock, so much so that they made you forget My Remembrance while you used to laugh at them!
''কিন্ত তোমরা তাদের হাসি - ঠাট্টার পাত্ররূপে গ্রহণ করেছিলে যে পর্যন্ত না এ - সব তোমাদের ভুলিয়ে দিয়েছিল আমাকে স্মরণ করা, আর তোমরা তাদের নিয়ে উপহাস করে চলেছ।
Innee jazaytuhumu alyawma bima sabaroo annahum humu alfaizoona
Verily I have rewarded them this Day for their patience: they are indeed the ones that are .
''নিঃসন্দেহ তারা যা অধ্যবসায় করত সেজন্য আজকের দিনে আমি তাদের পুরস্কার দান করছি, আর তারা তো নিজেরাই হচ্ছে ।’’
Qala kam labithtum fee alardi AAadada sineena
He (Allah) will say: "What number of years did you stay on earth?"
তিনি বলবেন - - ''তোমরা পৃথিবীতে বছর গুনতিতে কতকাল অবস্থান করেছিলে?’’
Qaloo labithna yawman aw baAAda yawmin faisali alAAaddeena
They will say: "We stayed a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep account."
তারা বলবে - - ''আমরা অবস্থান করেছিলাম একটি দিন বা দিনের কিছু অংশ, আপনি না হয় জিজ্ঞাসা করুন গণনাকারীদের।’’
Qala in labithtum illa qaleelan law annakum kuntum taAAlamoona
He (Allah) will say: "You stayed not but a little, if you had only known!
তিনি বলবেন - - ''তোমরা মাত্র অল্পকালই অবস্থান করেছিলে - - যদি তোমরা জানতে পারতে!’’
Afahasibtum annama khalaqnakum AAabathan waannakum ilayna la turjaAAoona
"Did you think that We had created you in play (without any purpose), and that you would not be brought back to Us?"
''তোমরা কি তবে মনে করেছিলে যে আমরা তোমাদের অনর্থক সৃষ্টি করেছি, এবং আমাদের কাছে তোমাদের ফিরিয়ে আনা হবে না?’’
FataAAala Allahu almaliku alhaqqu la ilaha illa huwa rabbu alAAarshi alkareemi
So Exalted be Allah, the True King: La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Lord of the Supreme Throne!
বস্তুতঃ মহিমান্নিত, মহারাজাধিরাজ, চিরন্তন সত্য, তিনি ব্যতীত অন্য উপাস্য নেই, সম্মানিত আরশের অধিপতি তিনি।
Waman yadAAu maAAa Allahi ilahan akhara la burhana lahu bihi fainnama hisabuhu AAinda rabbihi innahu la yuflihu alkafiroona
And whoever invokes (or worships), besides Allah, any other ilah (god), of whom he has no proof; then his reckoning is only with his Lord. Surely! Al-Kafirun (the disbelievers in Allah and in the Oneness of Allah, polytheists, pagans, idolaters) will not be .
আর যে কেউ র সঙ্গে অন্য উপাস্যকে ডাকে, - - যার জন্য তার কাছে কোনো সনদ নেই, - - তার হিসাবপত্র তবে নিশ্চয়ই তার প্রভুর কাছে রয়েছে। নিঃসন্দেহ অবিশ্বাসীদের করা হয় না।
Waqul rabbi ighfir wairham waanta khayru alrrahimeena
And say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, for You are the Best of those who show mercy!"
বলো - - ''আমার প্রভু! পরিত্রাণ করো, আর দয়া করো, কেননা তুমিই তো করুণাময়দের মধ্যে সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ।’’
