١ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ وَالصَّافَّاتِ صَفًّا
Saheeh International
1 By those [angels] lined up in rows

١ بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم والصافات صفا

١ وَٱلصَّٰٓفَّٰتِ صَفًّا
Transliteration
2 Faal zza jira ti zajra n

٢ فَالزَّاجِرَاتِ زَجْرًا
Saheeh International
2 And those who drive [the clouds]

٢ فَٱلزَّٰجِرَٰتِ زَجْرًا

3 Faal tta liya ti th ikra n

٣ فَالتَّالِيَاتِ ذِكْرًا
Saheeh International
3 And those who recite the message,

٣ فَٱلتَّٰلِيَٰتِ ذِكْرًا

4 Inna ila hakum lawah idun

٤ إِنَّ إِلَٰهَكُمْ لَوَاحِدٌ
Saheeh International
4 Indeed, your God is One,

٤ إِنَّ إِلَٰهَكُمْ لَوَٰحِدٌ
Transliteration
5 Rabbu al ssama wa ti waa lard i wama baynahuma warabbu almasha riqi

٥ رَّبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَرَبُّ الْمَشَارِقِ
Saheeh International
5 Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them and Lord of the sunrises.

٥ رب السماوات والأرض وما بينهما ورب المشارق

٥ رَّبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَرَبُّ ٱلْمَشَٰرِقِ
Transliteration
6 Inna zayyanna al ssama a al ddunya bizeenatin alkawa kibi

٦ إِنَّا زَيَّنَّا السَّمَاءَ الدُّنْيَا بِزِينَةٍ الْكَوَاكِبِ
Saheeh International
6 Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars

٦ إنا زينا السماء الدنيا بزينة الكواكب

٦ إِنَّا زَيَّنَّا ٱلسَّمَآءَ ٱلدُّنْيَا بِزِينَةٍ ٱلْكَوَاكِبِ
Transliteration
7 Wah ifth ta nin ma ridin

٧ وَحِفْظًا مِّن كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ مَّارِدٍ

7 And as protection against every rebellious devil

٧ وحفظا من كل شيطان مارد

٧ وَحِفْظًا مِّن كُلِّ شَيْطَٰنٍ مَّارِدٍ
Transliteration
8 La yassammaAAoona ila almalai alaAAla wayuqth afoona min kulli ja nibin

٨ لَّا يَسَّمَّعُونَ إِلَى الْمَلَإِ الْأَعْلَىٰ وَيُقْذَفُونَ مِن كُلِّ جَانِبٍ
Saheeh International
8 [So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side,

٨ لا يسمعون إلى الملإ الأعلى ويقذفون من كل جانب

٨ لَّا يَسَّمَّعُونَ إِلَى ٱلْمَلَإِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ وَيُقْذَفُونَ مِن كُلِّ جَانِبٍ
Transliteration
9 Duh ooran walahum AAatha bun was ibun

٩ دُحُورًا ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ وَاصِبٌ
Saheeh International
9 Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment,

٩ دحورا ۖ ولهم عذاب واصب

Transliteration
10 Illa man khat ifa alkhat fata faatbaAAahu shiha bun tha qibun

١٠ إِلَّا مَنْ خَطِفَ الْخَطْفَةَ فَأَتْبَعَهُ شِهَابٌ ثَاقِبٌ
Saheeh International
10 Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness].

١٠ إلا من خطف الخطفة فأتبعه شهاب ثاقب

١٠ إِلَّا مَنْ خَطِفَ ٱلْخَطْفَةَ فَأَتْبَعَهُۥ شِهَابٌ ثَاقِبٌ
Transliteration
11 Fai staftihim ahum ashaddu khalqan am man khalaqna inna khalaqna hum min t eenin la zibin

١١ فَاسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَهُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَم مَّنْ خَلَقْنَا ۚ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاهُم مِّن طِينٍ لَّازِبٍ
Saheeh International
11 Then inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Are they a stronger [or more difficult] creation or those [others] We have created?" Indeed, We created men from sticky clay.

١١ فاستفتهم أهم أشد خلقا أم من خلقنا ۚ إنا خلقناهم من طين لازب

١١ فَٱسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَهُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَم مَّنْ خَلَقْنَآ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَٰهُم مِّن طِينٍ لَّازِبٍۭ
Transliteration
12 Bal AAajibta wayaskharoona

١٢ بَلْ عَجِبْتَ وَيَسْخَرُونَ

12 But you wonder, while they mock,

١٢ بل عجبت ويسخرون

Transliteration
13 Waitha th ukkiroo la yath kuroona

١٣ وَإِذَا ذُكِّرُوا لَا يَذْكُرُونَ

13 And when they are reminded, they remember not.

١٣ وإذا ذكروا لا يذكرون

14 Waitha raaw a yatan yastaskhiroona

١٤ وَإِذَا رَأَوْا آيَةً يَسْتَسْخِرُونَ

14 And when they see a sign, they ridicule

١٤ وإذا رأوا آية يستسخرون

١٤ وَإِذَا رَأَوْا۟ ءَايَةً يَسْتَسْخِرُونَ

15 Waqa loo in hatha illa sih run mubeenun

١٥ وَقَالُوا إِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ
Saheeh International
15 And say, "This is not but obvious magic.

١٥ وقالوا إن هذا إلا سحر مبين

١٥ وَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ
Transliteration
16 Aitha mitna wakunna tura ban waAAith a man ainna lamabAAoothoona

١٦ أَإِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَإِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ
Saheeh International
16 When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected?

١٦ أإذا متنا وكنا ترابا وعظاما أإنا لمبعوثون

١٦ أَءِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ
Transliteration
17 Awaa ba ona alawwaloona

١٧ أَوَآبَاؤُنَا الْأَوَّلُونَ

17 And our forefathers [as well]?"

١٧ أوآباؤنا الأولون

١٧ أَوَءَابَآؤُنَا ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ
Transliteration
18 Qul naAAam waantum da khiroona

١٨ قُلْ نَعَمْ وَأَنتُمْ دَاخِرُونَ
Saheeh International
18 Say, "Yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptible."

١٨ قل نعم وأنتم داخرون

١٨ قُلْ نَعَمْ وَأَنتُمْ دَٰخِرُونَ
Transliteration
19 Fainnama hiya zajratun wah idatun faitha hum yanth a

١٩ فَإِنَّمَا هِيَ زَجْرَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ فَإِذَا هُمْ يَنظُرُونَ
Saheeh International
19 It will be only one shout, and at once they will be observing.

١٩ فإنما هي زجرة واحدة فإذا هم ينظرون

١٩ فَإِنَّمَا هِىَ زَجْرَةٌ وَٰحِدَةٌ فَإِذَا هُمْ يَنظُرُونَ
Transliteration
20 Waqa loo ya waylana hatha yawmu al ddeeni

٢٠ وَقَالُوا يَا وَيْلَنَا هَٰذَا يَوْمُ الدِّينِ
Saheeh International
20 They will say, "O woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense."

٢٠ وقالوا يا ويلنا هذا يوم الدين

٢٠ وَقَالُوا۟ يَٰوَيْلَنَا هَٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ
Transliteration
21 Hatha yawmu alfas li allath ee kuntum bihi tukathth iboona

٢١ هَٰذَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ الَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ
Saheeh International
21 [They will be told], "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny."

٢١ هذا يوم الفصل الذي كنتم به تكذبون

٢١ هَٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ
Transliteration
22 Oh shuroo allath eena th a jahum wama ka noo yaAAbudoona

٢٢ ۞ احْشُرُوا الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا وَأَزْوَاجَهُمْ وَمَا كَانُوا يَعْبُدُونَ
Saheeh International
22 [The angels will be ordered], "Gather those who committed wrong, their kinds, and what they used to worship

٢٢ ۞ احشروا الذين ظلموا وأزواجهم وما كانوا يعبدون

٢٢ ٱحْشُرُوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ وَأَزْوَٰجَهُمْ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْبُدُونَ
Transliteration
23 Min dooni Alla hi fai hdoohum ila s irat i aljah eemi

٢٣ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ فَاهْدُوهُمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَاطِ الْجَحِيمِ
Saheeh International
23 Other than Allah, and guide them to the path of Hellfire

٢٣ من دون الله فاهدوهم إلى صراط الجحيم

٢٣ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ فَٱهْدُوهُمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ
Transliteration
24 Waqifoohum innahum masooloona

٢٤ وَقِفُوهُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُم مَّسْئُولُونَ
Saheeh International
24 And stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned."

٢٤ وقفوهم ۖ إنهم مسئولون

٢٤ وَقِفُوهُمْ إِنَّهُم مَّسْـُٔولُونَ
Transliteration
25 Ma lakum la tanas aroona
Arabic, with marks
٢٥ مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنَاصَرُونَ
Saheeh International
25 [They will be asked], "What is [wrong] with you? Why do you not help each other?"

٢٥ ما لكم لا تناصرون

٢٥ مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنَاصَرُونَ
Transliteration
26 Bal humu alyawma mustaslimoona
Arabic, with marks
٢٦ بَلْ هُمُ الْيَوْمَ مُسْتَسْلِمُونَ
Saheeh International
26 But they, that Day, are in surrender.

٢٦ بل هم اليوم مستسلمون

Transliteration
27 Waaqbala baAAd uhum AAala baAAd in yatasa aloona

٢٧ وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ
Saheeh International
27 And they will approach one another blaming each other.

٢٧ وأقبل بعضهم على بعض يتساءلون

٢٧ وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ
Transliteration
28 Qa loo innakum kuntum tatoonana AAani alyameeni

٢٨ قَالُوا إِنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ تَأْتُونَنَا عَنِ الْيَمِينِ
Saheeh International
28 They will say, "Indeed, you used to come at us from the right."

٢٨ قالوا إنكم كنتم تأتوننا عن اليمين

٢٨ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ تَأْتُونَنَا عَنِ ٱلْيَمِينِ
Transliteration
29 Qa loo bal lam takoonoo mumineena

٢٩ قَالُوا بَل لَّمْ تَكُونُوا مُؤْمِنِينَ
Saheeh International
29 The oppressors will say, "Rather, you [yourselves] were not believers,

٢٩ قالوا بل لم تكونوا مؤمنين

٢٩ قَالُوا۟ بَل لَّمْ تَكُونُوا۟ مُؤْمِنِينَ
Transliteration
30 Wama ka na lana AAalaykum min s ulta nin bal kuntum qawman ta gheena

٣٠ وَمَا كَانَ لَنَا عَلَيْكُم مِّن سُلْطَانٍ ۖ بَلْ كُنتُمْ قَوْمًا طَاغِينَ
Saheeh International
30 And we had over you no authority, but you were a transgressing people.

٣٠ وما كان لنا عليكم من سلطان ۖ بل كنتم قوما طاغين

٣٠ وَمَا كَانَ لَنَا عَلَيْكُم مِّن سُلْطَٰنٍۭ بَلْ كُنتُمْ قَوْمًا طَٰغِينَ
Transliteration
31 Fah aqqa AAalayna qawlu rabbina inna latha iqoona

٣١ فَحَقَّ عَلَيْنَا قَوْلُ رَبِّنَا ۖ إِنَّا لَذَائِقُونَ
Saheeh International
31 So the word of our Lord has come into effect upon us; indeed, we will taste [punishment].

٣١ فحق علينا قول ربنا ۖ إنا لذائقون

٣١ فَحَقَّ عَلَيْنَا قَوْلُ رَبِّنَآ إِنَّا لَذَآئِقُونَ
Transliteration
32 Faaghwayna kum inna kunna gha weena

٣٢ فَأَغْوَيْنَاكُمْ إِنَّا كُنَّا غَاوِينَ
Saheeh International
32 And we led you to deviation; indeed, we were deviators."

٣٢ فأغويناكم إنا كنا غاوين

٣٢ فَأَغْوَيْنَٰكُمْ إِنَّا كُنَّا غَٰوِينَ
Transliteration
33 Fainnahum yawmaith in fee alAAatha bi mushtarikoona

٣٣ فَإِنَّهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ فِي الْعَذَابِ مُشْتَرِكُونَ
Saheeh International
33 So indeed they, that Day, will be sharing in the punishment.

٣٣ فَإِنَّهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ فِى ٱلْعَذَابِ مُشْتَرِكُونَ
Transliteration
34 Inna katha lika nafAAalu bia lmujrimeena

٣٤ إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِالْمُجْرِمِينَ
Saheeh International
34 Indeed, that is how We deal with the criminals.

٣٤ إنا كذلك نفعل بالمجرمين

٣٤ إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
Transliteration
35 Innahum ka noo itha qeela lahum la ila ha illa Alla hu yastakbiroona

٣٥ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا إِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
Saheeh International
35 Indeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but Allah," were arrogant

٣٥ إنهم كانوا إذا قيل لهم لا إله إلا الله يستكبرون

٣٥ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوٓا۟ إِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
Transliteration
36 Wayaqooloona ainna lata rikoo a lihatina lisha AAirin majnoonin
Arabic, with marks
٣٦ وَيَقُولُونَ أَئِنَّا لَتَارِكُو آلِهَتِنَا لِشَاعِرٍ مَّجْنُونٍ
Saheeh International
36 And were saying, "Are we to leave our gods for a mad poet?"

٣٦ ويقولون أئنا لتاركو آلهتنا لشاعر مجنون

٣٦ وَيَقُولُونَ أَئِنَّا لَتَارِكُوٓا۟ ءَالِهَتِنَا لِشَاعِرٍ مَّجْنُونٍۭ
Transliteration
37 Bal ja a bia lh aqqi was addaqa almursaleena

٣٧ بَلْ جَاءَ بِالْحَقِّ وَصَدَّقَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
Saheeh International
37 Rather, the Prophet has come with the truth and confirmed the [previous] messengers.

٣٧ بل جاء بالحق وصدق المرسلين

٣٧ بَلْ جَآءَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَصَدَّقَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
Transliteration
38 Innakum latha iqoo alAAatha bi alaleemi

٣٨ إِنَّكُمْ لَذَائِقُو الْعَذَابِ الْأَلِيمِ
Saheeh International
38 Indeed, you [disbelievers] will be tasters of the painful punishment,

٣٨ إنكم لذائقو العذاب الأليم

٣٨ إِنَّكُمْ لَذَآئِقُوا۟ ٱلْعَذَابِ ٱلْأَلِيمِ
Transliteration
39 Wama tujzawna illa ma kuntum taAAmaloona

٣٩ وَمَا تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
Saheeh International
39 And you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do -

٣٩ وما تجزون إلا ما كنتم تعملون

٣٩ وَمَا تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
Transliteration
40 Illa AAiba da Alla hi almukhlas eena

٤٠ إِلَّا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ
Saheeh International
40 But not the chosen servants of Allah.

٤٠ إلا عباد الله المخلصين

٤٠ إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ
Transliteration
41 Ola ika lahum rizqun maAAloomun

٤١ أُولَٰئِكَ لَهُمْ رِزْقٌ مَّعْلُومٌ
Saheeh International
41 Those will have a provision determined -

٤١ أولئك لهم رزق معلوم

٤١ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ رِزْقٌ مَّعْلُومٌ
Transliteration
42 Fawa kihu wahum mukramoona

٤٢ فَوَاكِهُ ۖ وَهُم مُّكْرَمُونَ
Saheeh International
42 Fruits; and they will be honored

٤٢ فواكه ۖ وهم مكرمون

٤٢ فَوَٰكِهُ وَهُم مُّكْرَمُونَ
Transliteration
43 Fee janna ti al nnaAAeemi

٤٣ فِي جَنَّاتِ النَّعِيمِ
Saheeh International
43 In gardens of pleasure

٤٣ فِى جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ

44 AAala sururin mutaqa bileena

٤٤ عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍ مُّتَقَابِلِينَ
Saheeh International
44 On thrones facing one another.

٤٤ على سرر متقابلين

٤٤ عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍ مُّتَقَٰبِلِينَ
Transliteration
45 Yuta fu AAalayhim bikasin min maAAeenin

٤٥ يُطَافُ عَلَيْهِم بِكَأْسٍ مِّن مَّعِينٍ
Saheeh International
45 There will be circulated among them a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring,

٤٥ يطاف عليهم بكأس من معين

٤٥ يُطَافُ عَلَيْهِم بِكَأْسٍ مِّن مَّعِينٍۭ

46 Bayda a lathth atin lil shsha ribeena

٤٦ بَيْضَاءَ لَذَّةٍ لِّلشَّارِبِينَ

46 White and delicious to the drinkers;

٤٦ بيضاء لذة للشاربين

٤٦ بَيْضَآءَ لَذَّةٍ لِّلشَّٰرِبِينَ
Transliteration
47 La feeha ghawlun wala hum AAanha yunzafoona
Arabic, with marks
٤٧ لَا فِيهَا غَوْلٌ وَلَا هُمْ عَنْهَا يُنزَفُونَ
Saheeh International
47 No bad effect is there in it, nor from it will they be intoxicated.

٤٧ لا فيها غول ولا هم عنها ينزفون

Transliteration
48 WaAAindahum qas ira tu al tt arfi AAeenun

٤٨ وَعِندَهُمْ قَاصِرَاتُ الطَّرْفِ عِينٌ
Saheeh International
48 And with them will be women limiting [their] glances, with large, [beautiful] eyes,

٤٨ وعندهم قاصرات الطرف عين

٤٨ وَعِندَهُمْ قَٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرْفِ عِينٌ
Transliteration
49 Kaannahunna bayd un maknoonun

٤٩ كَأَنَّهُنَّ بَيْضٌ مَّكْنُونٌ
Saheeh International
49 As if they were [delicate] eggs, well - protected.

٤٩ كأنهن بيض مكنون

50 Faaqbala baAAd uhum AAala baAAd in yatasa aloona

٥٠ فَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ
Saheeh International
50 And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other.

٥٠ فأقبل بعضهم على بعض يتساءلون

٥٠ فَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ

51 Qa la qa ilun minhum innee ka na lee qareenun

٥١ قَالَ قَائِلٌ مِّنْهُمْ إِنِّي كَانَ لِي قَرِينٌ

51 A speaker among them will say, "Indeed, I had a companion [on earth]

52 Who would say, 'Are you indeed of those who believe

53 Aitha mitna wakunna tura ban waAAith a man ainna lamadeenoona

٥٣ أَإِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَإِنَّا لَمَدِينُونَ

53 That when we have died and become dust and bones, we will indeed be recompensed?'"

54 He will say, "Would you [care to] look?"

55 And he will look and see him in the midst of the Hellfire.

56 He will say, "By Allah, you almost ruined me.

57 Walawla niAAmatu rabbee lakuntu mina almuhd areena

57 If not for the favor of my Lord, I would have been of those brought in [to Hell].

59 Except for our first death, and we will not be punished?"

66 And indeed, they will eat from it and fill with it their bellies.

67 Then indeed, they will have after it a mixture of scalding water.

74 But not the chosen servants of Allah.

75 And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders.

76 And We saved him and his family from the great affliction.

87 Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?"

91 Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat?

92 What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?"

93 And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand.

96 While Allah created you and that which you do?"

97 They said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fire."

٩٨ فَأَرَادُوا بِهِ كَيْدًا فَجَعَلْنَاهُمُ الْأَسْفَلِينَ

98 And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased.

99 Waqa la innee tha hibun ila rabbee sayahdeeni

٩٩ وَقَالَ إِنِّي ذَاهِبٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّي سَيَهْدِينِ

99 And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me.

100 My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous."

١٠٢ فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ مَعَهُ السَّعْيَ قَالَ يَا بُنَيَّ إِنِّي أَرَىٰ فِي الْمَنَامِ أَنِّي أَذْبَحُكَ فَانظُرْ مَاذَا تَرَىٰ ۚ قَالَ يَا أَبَتِ افْعَلْ مَا تُؤْمَرُ ۖ سَتَجِدُنِي إِن شَاءَ اللَّهُ مِنَ الصَّابِرِينَ
Saheeh International
102 And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast."

١٠٢ فلما بلغ معه السعي قال يا بني إني أرى في المنام أني أذبحك فانظر ماذا ترى ۚ قال يا أبت افعل ما تؤمر ۖ ستجدني إن شاء الله من الصابرين

103 Falamma aslama watallahu liljabeeni

١٠٣ فَلَمَّا أَسْلَمَا وَتَلَّهُ لِلْجَبِينِ

103 And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead,

١٠٣ فلما أسلما وتله للجبين

104 Wana dayna hu an ya ibra heemu

104 We called to him, "O Abraham,

105 Qad s addaqta al rruya inna katha lika najzee almuh sineena

١٠٥ قَدْ صَدَّقْتَ الرُّؤْيَا ۚ إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ

105 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.

106 Inna hatha lahuwa albala o almubeenu

106 Indeed, this was the clear trial.

107 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice,

112 And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous.

١١٣ وَبَارَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَىٰ إِسْحَاقَ ۚ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا مُحْسِنٌ وَظَالِمٌ لِّنَفْسِهِ مُبِينٌ
Saheeh International
113 And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself.

١١٣ وباركنا عليه وعلى إسحاق ۚ ومن ذريتهما محسن وظالم لنفسه مبين

١١٣ وَبَٰرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَىٰٓ إِسْحَٰقَ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا مُحْسِنٌ وَظَالِمٌ لِّنَفْسِهِۦ مُبِينٌ
Transliteration
114 Walaqad mananna AAala moosa waha roona

١١٤ وَلَقَدْ مَنَنَّا عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَارُونَ
Saheeh International
114 And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron.

١١٤ وَلَقَدْ مَنَنَّا عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ
Transliteration
115 Wanajjayna huma waqawmahuma mina alkarbi alAAath i

١١٥ وَنَجَّيْنَاهُمَا وَقَوْمَهُمَا مِنَ الْكَرْبِ الْعَظِيمِ

115 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction,

116 And We supported them so it was they who overcame.

126 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?"

127 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment],

137 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning

138 Wabia llayli afala taAAqiloona

138 And at night. Then will you not use reason?

١٣٨ وبالليل ۗ أفلا تعقلون

139 Wainna yoonusa lamina almursaleena

139 And indeed, Jonah was among the messengers.

140 [Mention] when he ran away to the laden ship.

١٤٠ إذ أبق إلى الفلك المشحون

141 Fasa hama faka na mina almudh ad eena

141 And he drew lots and was among the losers.

142 Fai ltaqamahu alh ootu wahuwa muleemun

142 Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy.

143 And had he not been of those who exalt Allah,

144 Lalabitha fee bat nihi ila yawmi yubAAathoona

144 He would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are resurrected.

Transliteration
145 Fanabath na hu bia lAAara i wahuwa saqeemun

١٤٥ ۞ فَنَبَذْنَاهُ بِالْعَرَاءِ وَهُوَ سَقِيمٌ
Saheeh International
145 But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill.

١٤٥ فَنَبَذْنَٰهُ بِٱلْعَرَآءِ وَهُوَ سَقِيمٌ
Transliteration
146 Waanbatna AAalayhi shajaratan min yaqt eenin

١٤٦ وَأَنبَتْنَا عَلَيْهِ شَجَرَةً مِّن يَقْطِينٍ
Saheeh International
146 And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine.

147 Waarsalna hu ila miati alfin aw yazeedoona

١٤٧ وَأَرْسَلْنَاهُ إِلَىٰ مِائَةِ أَلْفٍ أَوْ يَزِيدُونَ
Saheeh International
147 And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more.

148 Faa manoo famattaAAna hum ila h eenin

١٤٨ فَآمَنُوا فَمَتَّعْنَاهُمْ إِلَىٰ حِينٍ
Saheeh International
148 And they believed, so We gave them enjoyment [of life] for a time.

Transliteration
149 Fai staftihim alirabbika albana tu walahumu albanoona

١٤٩ فَاسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَلِرَبِّكَ الْبَنَاتُ وَلَهُمُ الْبَنُونَ
Saheeh International
149 So inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons?

١٤٩ فاستفتهم ألربك البنات ولهم البنون

١٤٩ فَٱسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَلِرَبِّكَ ٱلْبَنَاتُ وَلَهُمُ ٱلْبَنُونَ
Transliteration
150 Am khalaqna almala ikata ina than wahum sha hidoona

١٥٠ أَمْ خَلَقْنَا الْمَلَائِكَةَ إِنَاثًا وَهُمْ شَاهِدُونَ
Saheeh International
150 Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?"

١٥٠ أم خلقنا الملائكة إناثا وهم شاهدون

١٥١ أَلَا إِنَّهُم مِّنْ إِفْكِهِمْ لَيَقُولُونَ
Saheeh International
151 Unquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they say,

157 Then produce your scripture, if you should be truthful.

١٥٨ وَجَعَلُوا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْجِنَّةِ نَسَبًا ۚ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمَتِ الْجِنَّةُ إِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ
Saheeh International
158 And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment].

١٥٨ وجعلوا بينه وبين الجنة نسبا ۚ ولقد علمت الجنة إنهم لمحضرون
