Jeremiah 51:1 Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will raise up against Babylon, and against them that dwell in the midst of them that rise up against me, a destroying wind;
যেরেমিয়া - 51 প্রভু বললেন, “আমি শক্তিশালী বাতাস প্রবাহিত করব। আমি এই শক্তিশালী বাতাসকে বাবিলের বিরুদ্ধে এবং ‘লেব-কামাই’এর লোকদের বিরুদ্ধে বওযাবো।
Jeremiah 51:2 And will send unto Babylon fanners, that shall fan her, and shall empty her land: for in the day of trouble they shall be against her round about.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 আমি বাবিলকে শষ্য থেকে তুষ ঝেড়ে ফেলবার মত করবার জন্য লোক পাঠাব এবং তারা বাবিলকে তুষের মত করে দেবে। তারা বাবিল থেকে সবকিছু নিয়ে নেবে। সেনারা শহর ঘিরে রাখবে এবং ভয়ঙ্কর ধ্বংস ঘটবে।
Jeremiah 51:3 Against him that bendeth let the archer bend his bow, and against him that lifteth himself up in his brigandine: and spare ye not her young men; destroy ye utterly all her host.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 বাবিলের সেনারা তাদের তীর ধনুক ব্যবহার করবে না। তারা এমন কি তাদের অস্ত্রশস্ত্রও তুলবে না। বাবিলের যুবকদের জন্য দুঃখিত হযো না। তার সেনাদের পুরোপুরি ধ্বংস কর।
Jeremiah 51:4 Thus the slain shall fall in the land of the Chaldeans, and they that are thrust through in her streets.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 কল্দীযদের দেশে বাবিলের সৈন্যদের হত্যা করা হবে। বাবিলের রাস্তায় তারা গুরুতরভাবে আহত হবে।”
Jeremiah 51:5 For Israel hath not been forsaken, nor Judah of his God, of the LORD of hosts; though their land was filled with sin against the Holy One of Israel.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 প্রভু সর্বশক্তিমান ইস্রায়েল এবং যিহূদাকে বিধ্বা মহিলাদের মতো একাকী ফেলে চলে যান নি। ঈশ্বর ঐসব লোকদের ত্যাগ করেন নি। না! ঐ লোকরা দোষী। তারা ইস্রায়েলের পবিত্র একজনকে ত্যাগ করেছিল। তারা ত্যাগ করলেও ঈশ্বর তাদের ত্যাগ করেন নি।
Jeremiah 51:6 Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of the LORD's vengeance; he will render unto her a recompence.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 বাবিল থেকে পালিয়ে যাও। পালাও নিজেদের জীবন বাঁচাতে। বাবিলের পাপের জন্য সেখানে থেকে নিহত হযো না। তাদের অপকর্মের জন্য ঈশ্বরের বাবিলীযদের শাস্তি দেবার সময় এসেছে। বাবিল তার য়োগ্য শাস্তি পাবেই।
Jeremiah 51:7 Babylon hath been a golden cup in the LORD's hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 বাবিল ছিল প্রভুর হাতের স্বর্ণ পেয়ালার মতো। বাবিল গোটা পৃথিবীকে মদ্যপ বানিয়েছে। জাতিগুলি বাবিলের মদ পান করেছে। তাই তাদের মস্তিষ্কের এই বিকৃতি।
Jeremiah 51:8 Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed: howl for her; take balm for her pain, if so be she may be healed.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 বাবিলের হঠাত্ পতন হবে। ছিন্ন ভিন্ন হয়ে যাবে। তার জন্য কাঁদো। তার যন্ত্রণা উপশমের জন্য ওষুধ দাও! সে সুস্থ হতেও পারে।
Jeremiah 51:9 We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed: forsake her, and let us go every one into his own country: for her judgment reacheth unto heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 আমরা বাবিলকে সুস্থ করার চেষ্টা করেছি। কিন্তু সে সুস্থ হতে পারবে না। তাই আমাদের প্রত্যেকের উচিত্ তাকে ত্যাগ করে নিজেদের দেশে ফিরে যাওয়া। স্বর্গের ঈশ্বর ঠিক করবেন তার শাস্তি। তিনিই ঠিক করবেন বাবিলে কি হবে।
Jeremiah 51:10 The LORD hath brought forth our righteousness: come, and let us declare in Zion the work of the LORD our God.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 প্রভু আমাদের জন্যও প্রতিরক্ষার ব্যবস্থা করেছেন। এসো, সিয়োন সেই সব কথা বলো। এখন বলো, প্রভু আমাদের ঈশ্বরের কৃত কর্মের কথা।
Jeremiah 51:11 Make bright the arrows; gather the shields: the LORD hath raised up the spirit of the kings of the Medes: for his device is against Babylon, to destroy it; because it is the vengeance of the LORD, the vengeance of his temple.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 তীরগুলি তীক্ষ্ণ করো। বর্ম তুলে নাও। ঈশ্বর মাদীয় রাজাদের উত্তেজিত করে তুললেন। তিনি তাদের উত্তেজিত করে তুলবেন। কারণ তিনি বাবিলকে ধ্বংস করতে চান। বাবিলের লোকদের প্রভু তাদের পাওনা শাস্তি দেবেন। জেরুশালেমে প্রভুর উপাসনাগৃহগুলি ধ্বংস করেছিল বাবিল। এর জন্য য়ে শাস্তি তাদের পাওয়া উচিত্ প্রভু তাই দেবেন।
Jeremiah 51:12 Set up the standard upon the walls of Babylon, make the watch strong, set up the watchmen, prepare the ambushes: for the LORD hath both devised and done that which he spake against the inhabitants of Babylon.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 বাবিলের প্রাচীরগুলির বিরুদ্ধে একটি ধ্বজা তোল। আরও রক্ষী আনো। নজরদার নিয়োগ করো। তৈরী হও গোপন আক্রমণের জন্য। প্রভু নিজের পরিকল্পনা মত কাজ করে যাবেন। বাবিলের লোকদের বিরুদ্ধে তিনি তাঁর কথা মত সবকিছুই করবেন।
Jeremiah 51:13 O thou that dwellest upon many waters, abundant in treasures, thine end is come, and the measure of thy covetousness.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 বাবিল তুমি গভীর জলের কাছে বাস করো। কোষাধ্যক্ষদের সঙ্গে সঙ্গে তুমিও ধনী। তোমার সমাপ্তি সমাগত। এটাই তোমার ধ্বংসের সময়।
Jeremiah 51:14 The LORD of hosts hath sworn by himself, saying, Surely I will fill thee with men, as with caterpillers; and they shall lift up a shout against thee.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 প্রভু সর্বশক্তিমান এই প্রতিশ্রুতির সময় তাঁর নাম ব্যবহার করেছিলেন: “বাবিল আমি তোমাকে বহু শএু সৈন্য দিয়ে ভরে দেব। তারা দ্রুত শস্য বিনাশকারী কীটেদের মতো হবে। তারা তোমার বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ জয় করবে এবং তোমার ওপর দাঁড়িয়ে বিজয় উল্লাস করবে।”
Jeremiah 51:15 He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heaven by his understanding.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 প্রভু তাঁর মহান ক্ষমতাবলে পৃথিবীর সৃষ্টি করেছেন। এই বিশ্ব গড়তে তিনি তাঁর জ্ঞানকে ব্যবহার করেছিলেন। আকাশকে বিস্তৃত করতে তাঁর নিজের বুদ্ধি ব্যবহার করেছেন।
Jeremiah 51:16 When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens; and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth: he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 যখন তিনি বজ্র নির্ঘোষ করেন, আকাশের জল গর্জন করে ওঠে। তিনিই পৃথিবীর ওপরে মেঘ পাঠান। তিনি বৃষ্টির সঙ্গে বিদ্য়ুতের ঝলকানি পাঠান। তিনিই তাঁর গুদাম থেকে এনে দেন বাতাস।
Jeremiah 51:17 Every man is brutish by his knowledge; every founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 কিন্তু মানুষ এতই বোকা য়ে তারা বুঝতে পারে না ঈশ্বর কি করেছেন। দক্ষ কারিগররা ভ্রান্ত দেবতার মূর্ত্তি বানায়। সেই মূর্ত্তি একমাত্র ভ্রান্ত দেবতারই। সেগুলি য়ে করেছে সেই কারিগরের বোকামি তারা দেখিয়ে দেয়। সেই মূর্ত্তি জীবন্ত নয়।
Jeremiah 51:18 They are vanity, the work of errors: in the time of their visitation they shall perish.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 সেই মূর্ত্তিগুলি মূল্যহীন। যারা বানিয়েছে তারা নিজেরাই হাসির খোরাক হয়েছে। তাদের বিচারের সময় আসবে এবং মূর্ত্তিগুলি ধ্বংস হবে।
Jeremiah 51:19 The portion of Jacob is not like them; for he is the former of all things: and Israel is the rod of his inheritance: the LORD of hosts is his name.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 কিন্তু যাকোবের নিযতি (ঈশ্বর) ঐ মূল্যহীন মূর্ত্তিগুলোর মত নয়। মানুষ ঈশ্বর বানায় না, ঈশ্বরই মানুষ বানায়। সব কিছুর সৃষ্টিকর্তা ঈশ্বর। তাঁর নাম প্রভু সর্বশক্তিমান।
Jeremiah 51:20 Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms;
যেরেমিয়া - 51 প্রভু বললেন, “বাবিল, তুমি আমার গদা। জাতিগুলিকে ধ্বংস করতে আমি তোমাকে ব্যবহার করেছি। ব্যবহার করেছি তোমাকে রাজ্যগুলি ধ্বংসের কাজে।
Jeremiah 51:21 And with thee will I break in pieces the horse and his rider; and with thee will I break in pieces the chariot and his rider;
যেরেমিয়া - 51 অশ্ব ও অশ্বারোহীকে ধ্বংসের কাজে তোমাকে ব্যবহার করেছি। আমি তোমাকে রথসমূহ ও তাদের চালকদের ধ্বংস করবার জন্য ব্যবহার করেছি।
Jeremiah 51:22 With thee also will I break in pieces man and woman; and with thee will I break in pieces old and young; and with thee will I break in pieces the young man and the maid;
যেরেমিয়া - 51 তুমি আমার দ্বারা ব্যবহৃত হয়েছো পুরুষ ও মহিলা ধ্বংসের কাজে, আমি তোমাকে ব্যবহার করেছিপুরুষ, বৃদ্ধ ও যুবকদের বিনাশের কাজে। তরুণ তরুণীদের বিনাশের কাজে তোমাকে ব্যবহার করেছি।
Jeremiah 51:23 I will also break in pieces with thee the shepherd and his flock; and with thee will I break in pieces the husbandman and his yoke of oxen; and with thee will I break in pieces captains and rulers.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 আমি তোমাকে মেষপালক ও তার পালকে সম্পূর্ণরূপে ধ্বংস করবার জন্য ব্যবহার করেছি। কৃষকদের ও গরুদের সম্পূর্ণরূপে ধ্বংস করবার জন্য তোমাকে ব্যবহার করেছি। রাজ্যপাল ও গুরুত্বপূর্ণ আধিকারিকদের চূর্ণ-বিচূর্ণ করতে তোমাকে ব্যবহার করেছি।
Jeremiah 51:24 And I will render unto Babylon and to all the inhabitants of Chaldea all their evil that they have done in Zion in your sight, saith the LORD.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 কিন্তু বাবিলকে তাদের উপযুক্ত শাস্তি দেব। সিয়োনের প্রতি য়ে সমস্ত কুকর্মগুলি তারা করেছিল তার জন্য আমি তাদের মূল্য দিতে বাধ্য করব। যিহূদা আমি তোমার সামনে ওদের শাস্তি দেব।” এই সব প্রভু বলেছেন।
Jeremiah 51:25 Behold, I am against thee, O destroying mountain, saith the LORD, which destroyest all the earth: and I will stretch out mine hand upon thee, and roll thee down from the rocks, and will make thee a burnt mountain.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 প্রভু বলেন, “বাবিল, তুমি ধ্বংসকারী পাহাড়ের মতো এবং আমি তোমার বিরুদ্ধে। বাবিল, তুমি গোটা দেশকে ধ্বংস করেছো, আমি তোমার বিরুদ্ধে। আমি তোমার বিরুদ্ধে হাত রাখব। আমি তোমাকে দূরারোহ পাহাড়গুলির থেকে গড়িযে ফেলে দেব। আমি তোমাকে পুড়ে যাওয়া পাহাড়ে পরিণত করব।
Jeremiah 51:26 And they shall not take of thee a stone for a corner, nor a stone for foundations; but thou shalt be desolate for ever, saith the LORD.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 মানুষ বাড়ি তৈরী করতে বাবিল থেকে পাথর নিতে পারবে না। ভিত্তি প্রস্তরসমূহের মত ব্যবহার করবার জন্য যথেষ্ট বড় পাথর সমূহও পাওয়া যাবে না। কেন? কারণ তোমার শহর চির কালের মত ভাঙ্গা পাথরের কুচির মতো হবে।” এই সব প্রভু বলেছেন।
Jeremiah 51:27 Set ye up a standard in the land, blow the trumpet among the nations, prepare the nations against her, call together against her the kingdoms of Ararat, Minni, and Ashchenaz; appoint a captain against her; cause the horses to come up as the rough caterpillers.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 “হাতে যুদ্ধ ধ্বজা তুলে নাও! সমস্ত জাতিগুলির মধ্যে ভেরী বাজাও। বাবিলের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধের জন্য সব জাতিকে প্রস্তুত করো। বাবিলের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করার জন্য অরারট, মিন্নি ও অস্কিনস রাজ্যকে ডাকো।
Jeremiah 51:28 Prepare against her the nations with the kings of the Medes, the captains thereof, and all the rulers thereof, and all the land of his dominion.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 তার বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধের জন্য সেনানাযক বেছে নাও। এত বেশী ঘোড়া পাঠাও যাতে ওরা শস্য বিনাশকারী পতঙ্গ পালের মত হয়ে ওঠে। জাতিগুলিকে তার বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করবার জন্য প্রস্তুত করো। মাদীয় রাজাদের তৈরী করো। তাদের রাজ্যপালদের ও গুরুত্বপূর্ণ আধিকারিকদের প্রস্তুত করো।
Jeremiah 51:29 And the land shall tremble and sorrow: for every purpose of the LORD shall be performed against Babylon, to make the land of Babylon a desolation without an inhabitant.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 দেশটা যন্ত্রণায় কাতরানোর মতো কাঁপবে। বাবিলের জন্য প্রভুর য়ে পরিকল্পনা করছে সেগুলো পালনের সময় কেঁপে উঠবে। বাবিলকে পরিত্যক্ত মরুতে পরিণত করার পরিকল্পনা রয়েছে প্রভুর।
Jeremiah 51:30 The mighty men of Babylon have forborn to fight, they have remained in their holds: their might hath failed; they became as women: they have burned her dwellingplaces; her bars are broken.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 বাবিলের সেনারা যুদ্ধ থামিয়ে দুর্গে থেকে যাবে। তাদের শক্তি চলে গিয়েছে। তারা হল ভীত মহিলাদের মতো। বাবিলের বাড়িগুলি জ্বলছে। তার ফটকগুলির আগলসমূহ ভেঙ্গে গিয়েছে।
Jeremiah 51:31 One post shall run to meet another, and one messenger to meet another, to shew the king of Babylon that his city is taken at one end,
যেরেমিয়া - 51 এক জন বার্তাবাহককে অন্য জন অনুসরণ করছে। বার্তাবাহকরাই বার্তাবাহকদের অনুসরণ করছে। তারা বাবিলের রাজাকে বলে য়ে তার সমগ্র শহর অধিকৃত হয়ে গিয়েছে।
Jeremiah 51:32 And that the passages are stopped, and the reeds they have burned with fire, and the men of war are affrighted.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 য়ে জায়গা দিয়ে মানুষ নদী পার হয় সেই জায়গাও অধিকৃত। নদীর ধার বরাবর ঘাসের জমি পুড়ছে। বাবিলের সব লোকরাই আতঙ্কিত।”
Jeremiah 51:33 For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; The daughter of Babylon is like a threshingfloor, it is time to thresh her: yet a little while, and the time of her harvest shall come.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 সর্বশক্তিমান প্রভু, ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর বলেন, “বাবিল হচ্ছে একটি মাড়ানো ভূমির মতো। ফসল কাটার সময় লোকরা শস্য ঝাড়ে তাকে তুষ থেকে আলাদা করবার জন্য। বাবিলকে মারবার সময় খুব শীঘ্রই আসছে।”
Jeremiah 51:34 Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon hath devoured me, he hath crushed me, he hath made me an empty vessel, he hath swallowed me up like a dragon, he hath filled his belly with my delicates, he hath cast me out.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 সিয়োনের লোকরা বলবে, “বাবিলের রাজা নবূখদ্রিত্সর অতীতে আমাদের ধ্বংস করেছে। অতীতে নবূখদ্রিত্সর আমাদের আঘাত করেছে। আমাদের লোকদের দূরে নিয়ে গিয়ে আমাদের খালি পাত্রের মতো করে ছেড়েছে। সে আমাদের সমস্ত ভালো জিনিষগুলি নিয়ে গিয়েছিল এবং আমাদের ছুঁড়ে ফেলে দিয়েছিল। সে এক জন দৈত্যাকার দানব য়ে ভরপেট না হওয়া পর্য়ন্ত সব কিছুকে খেযে নেয। সে আমাদের যা কিছু ভালো ছিল তা নিয়ে নিয়ে আমাদের দূরে ছুঁড়ে ফেলে দিয়েছে।
Jeremiah 51:35 The violence done to me and to my flesh be upon Babylon, shall the inhabitant of Zion say; and my blood upon the inhabitants of Chaldea, shall Jerusalem say.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 বাবিল আমাদের আঘাত করতে ভয়ঙ্কর জিনিস ঘটিযেছিল। এখন আমরা চাই য়ে বাবিলে ঐসব ঘটনা ঘটুক।” সিয়োনের লোকরা ঐসব জিনিসগুলির কথা বলবে: “আমাদের লোকদের হত্যা করার জন্য বাবিলের লোকরা দোষী। এখন অপকর্মের জন্য তাদের শাস্তি হচ্ছে।” জেরুশালেম শহর ঐসব জিনিসগুলির কথা বলবে।
Jeremiah 51:36 Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will plead thy cause, and take vengeance for thee; and I will dry up her sea, and make her springs dry.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 তাই প্রভু বলেন, “যিহূদা, আমি তোমাকে রক্ষা করব। বাবিলের শাস্তি প্রদান আমি নিশ্চিত করব। আমি বাবিলের সমুদ্রের জল শুকিয়ে দেব এবং তার জলের প্রবাহ বন্ধ করে দেব।
Jeremiah 51:37 And Babylon shall become heaps, a dwellingplace for dragons, an astonishment, and an hissing, without an inhabitant.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 বাবিল ধ্বংসস্তূপে পরিণত হবে। বাবিল বন্য কুকুরের বাসস্থান হবে। ধ্বংসস্তূপ দেখে লোকরা অবাক হয়ে যাবে। বাবিলের কথা ভাবার সময় লোকরা তাদের মাথা নাড়বে। বাবিল এমন একটা জায়গায় পরিণত হবে যেখানে কোন লোক বাস করবে না।
Jeremiah 51:38 They shall roar together like lions: they shall yell as lions' whelps.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 “বাবিলের লোকরা গর্জনরত সিংহের মত। তারা সিংহশাবকের মত গর্জন করছে।
Jeremiah 51:39 In their heat I will make their feasts, and I will make them drunken, that they may rejoice, and sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake, saith the LORD.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 ঐসব লোকরা শক্তিশালী সিংহের মতো আচরণ করছে। আমি তাদের জন্য একটি ভোজসভা দেব। আমি তাদের দ্রাক্ষারস পান করাব। তারা সুসময়ের মতো হাসবে এবং তারপর তারা চির দিনের জন্য ঘুমিযে পড়বে। তারা আর কখনও উঠে দাঁড়াবে না।” প্রভু এই কথাগুলি বলেন।
Jeremiah 51:40 I will bring them down like lambs to the slaughter, like rams with he goats.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 “বাবিলের লোকরা বধ হওয়ার জন্য অপেক্ষারত মেষ এবং ছাগলের মত হবে। আমি তাদের কসাই-খানায নিয়ে যাব।
Jeremiah 51:41 How is Sheshach taken! and how is the praise of the whole earth surprised! how is Babylon become an astonishment among the nations!
যেরেমিয়া - 51 “শেশক” পরাজিত হবে। পৃথিবীর সব চেয়ে গর্বিত শহর বন্দী হবে। অন্যান্য জাতির লোকরা বাবিলের দিকে তাকাবে। এবং তারা এমন সব জিনিস দেখবে য়ে ভয় পাবে।
Jeremiah 51:42 The sea is come up upon Babylon: she is covered with the multitude of the waves thereof.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 সমুদ্র বাবিলের ওপর দিয়ে বয়ে যাবে। এর গর্জনরত ঢেউ তাকে আচ্ছাদিত করবে।
Jeremiah 51:43 Her cities are a desolation, a dry land, and a wilderness, a land wherein no man dwelleth, neither doth any son of man pass thereby.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 বাবিলের শহরগুলি ধ্বংস প্রাপ্ত হবে এবং শূন্য হয়ে যাবে। বাবিল শুষ্ক মরুভূমিতে পরিণত হবে। এটা জনমানবহীন একটা দেশে পরিণত হবে। লোকরা বাবিলের ওপর দিয়ে চলাচলও করতে পারবে না।
Jeremiah 51:44 And I will punish Bel in Babylon, and I will bring forth out of his mouth that which he hath swallowed up: and the nations shall not flow together any more unto him: yea, the wall of Babylon shall fall.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 আমি বাবিলে বেল মূর্ত্তিকে শাস্তি দেব। ঐ মূর্ত্তি যাদের গিলে খেযেছে বমি করিযে তাদের বের করে আনব। বাবিলের চারি দিকের প্রাচীর ভেঙ্গে পড়বে। এবং অন্য জাতির লোকরা বাবিলে আসা বন্ধ করবে।
Jeremiah 51:45 My people, go ye out of the midst of her, and deliver ye every man his soul from the fierce anger of the LORD.
যেরেমিয়া - 51 আমার লোকরা, তোমরা বাবিল ছেড়ে বেরিয়ে এস। নিজেদের জীবন বাঁচাতে দৌড়ে পালিয়ে এস। প্রভুর ভয়ঙ্কর রোধ থেকে দূরে সরে এস।
Jeremiah 51:46 And lest your heart faint, and ye fear for the rumour that shall be heard in the land; a rumour shall both come one year, and after that in another year shall come a rumour, and violence in the land, ruler against ruler.
