দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ - 29প্রভু হোরেব পর্বতে ইস্রায়েলের লোকদের সাথে চুক্তি করেছিলেন। সেই চুক্তি ছাড়াও প্রভু মোশিকে আরেকটি চুক্তি করার জন্য আজ্ঞা করলেন। এই চুক্তি মোয়াব পর্বতে করা হল:

Deuteronomy 29:1These are the words of the covenant, which the LORD commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the land of Moab, beside the covenant which he made with them in Horeb.

Deuteronomy 29:2And Moses called unto all Israel, and said unto them, Ye have seen all that the LORD did before your eyes in the land of Egypt unto Pharaoh, and unto all his servants, and unto all his land;

Deuteronomy 29:4Yet the LORD hath not given you an heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day.

Deuteronomy 29:5And I have led you forty years in the wilderness: your clothes are not waxen old upon you, and thy shoe is not waxen old upon thy foot.

Deuteronomy 29:6Ye have not eaten bread, neither have ye drunk wine or strong drink: that ye might know that I am the LORD your God.

Deuteronomy 29:7And when ye came unto this place, Sihon the king of Heshbon, and Og the king of Bashan, came out against us unto battle, and we smote them:

Deuteronomy 29:12That thou shouldest enter into covenant with the LORD thy God, and into his oath, which the LORD thy God maketh with thee this day:

Deuteronomy 29:13That he may establish thee to day for a people unto himself, and that he may be unto thee a God, as he hath said unto thee, and as he hath sworn unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.

দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ - 29এ বিষয়ে নিশ্চিত হয়ো য়ে তোমাদের মধ্যে পুরুষ, নারী, পরিবার ও পরিবারগোষ্ঠী যারাই আজ এখানে রয়েছে, তাদের কেউ য়েন প্রভু আমাদের ঈশ্বরের কাছ থেকে দূরে সরে না যায়। কেউ য়েন অন্য জাতির দেবতাদের পূজা না করে। যারা তা করে তারা সেই গাছের মত যা বিষাক্ত তেতো ফল উত্পন্ন করে।

Deuteronomy 29:18Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from the LORD our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood;

Deuteronomy 29:19And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst:

দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ - 29প্রভু সেই ব্যক্তিকে ক্ষমা করবেন না। প্রভু সেই ব্যক্তির প্রতি ক্রুদ্ধ ও বিরক্ত হবেন এবং তাকে শাস্তি দেবেন। প্রভু সেই ব্যক্তিকে ইস্রায়েলের সমস্ত পরিবারগোষ্ঠী থেকে পৃথক করবেন। প্রভু তাকে সম্পূর্ণরূপে ধ্বংস করবেন। এই পুস্তকে লেখা সমস্ত অমঙ্গল তার উপর আসবে। ব্যবস্থার পুস্তকে অভিশাপ সম্পর্কে লিখিত চুক্তি অনুসারেই আসবে।

Deuteronomy 29:20The LORD will not spare him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the LORD shall blot out his name from under heaven.

Deuteronomy 29:22So that the generation to come of your children that shall rise up after you, and the stranger that shall come from a far land, shall say, when they see the plagues of that land, and the sicknesses which the LORD hath laid upon it;

দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ - 29সমস্ত দেশ জ্বলন্ত গন্ধক ও লবনে ঢেকে যাওয়ায় আর ব্যবহারয়োগ্য থাকবে না। দেশে কিছুই বোনা হবে না, কিছুই বেড়ে উঠবে না, এমন কি জংলী গাছও না। প্রভু ক্রুদ্ধ হয়ে য়েভাবে সদোম, ঘমোরা, অদ্মা ও সবোযিম শহরগুলি ধ্বংস করেছিলেন সেই ভাবেই এই দেশ ধ্বংস হবে।

Deuteronomy 29:23And that the whole land thereof is brimstone, and salt, and burning, that it is not sown, nor beareth, nor any grass groweth therein, like the overthrow of Sodom, and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim, which the LORD overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath:

Deuteronomy 29:24Even all nations shall say, Wherefore hath the LORD done thus unto this land? what meaneth the heat of this great anger?

Deuteronomy 29:28And the LORD rooted them out of their land in anger, and in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day.

দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ - 29“কিছু বিষয় রয়েছে যা প্রভু, আমাদের ঈশ্বর, গোপন রেখেছেন, কেবল তিনিই সে সব বিষয় জানেন। কিন্তু প্রভু কিছু বিষয় আমাদের কাছে প্রকাশ করেছেন এবং সেই শিক্ষাসকল আমাদের ও আমাদের উত্তরপুরুষদের জন্য চিরকাল থাকবে। সেই বিধির সব আজ্ঞাগুলির প্রতি আমরা অবশ্যই বাধ্য থাকব।

Deuteronomy 29:29The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.
