Chapter 97, 5 verses
বিসমিল্লাহির রাহমা-নির রাহি-ম ইন্না য় আন্যাল্না-হু ফী লাইলাতিল্ ক্বদ্র্।
আমি একে নাযিল করেছি শবে - কদরে।
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Verily, We have sent it (this Qur'an) down in the night of Al-Qadr (Decree).
অমা য় আদ্র-কা মা-লাইলাতুল্ ক্বদ্র্।
শবে - কদর সমন্ধে আপনি কি জানেন?
And what will make you know what the night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is?
লাইলাতুল্ ক্বদ্রি খাইরুম্ মিন্ আল্ফি শাহ্র্ ।
শবে - কদর হল এক হাজার মাস অপেক্ষা শ্রেষ্ঠ।
The night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is better than a thousand months (i.e. worshipping Allah in that night is better than worshipping Him a thousand months, i.e. 83 years and 4 months).
তানায্যালুল্ মালা-য়িকাতু র্অরূহু ফীহা- বিইয্নি রব্বিহিম্ মিন্ কুল্লি আম্র্।
এতে প্রত্যেক কাজের জন্যে ফেরেশতাগণ ও রূহ অবতীর্ণ হয় তাদের পালনকর্তার নির্দেশক্রমে।
Therein descend the angels and the Ruh [Jibril (Gabril)] by Allah's Permission with all Decrees,
সালা-মুন্ হিয়া হাত্তা- মাতলাই'ল্ ফাজর্।
এটা নিরাপত্তা, যা ফজরের উদয় পর্যন্ত অব্যাহত থাকে।
(All that night), there is Peace (and Goodness from Allah to His believing slaves) until the appearance of dawn.
