In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the (only) Originator [or the (Only) Creator] of the heavens and the earth, Who made the angels messengers with wings, two or three or four. He increases in creation what He wills. Verily, Allah is Able to do all things.

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم الحمد لله فاطر السماوات والأرض جاعل الملائكة رسلا أولي أجنحة مثنى وثلاث ورباع ۚ يزيد في الخلق ما يشاء ۚ إن الله على كل شيء قدير

পরম দয়ালু, পরম ক্ষমাশীল আল্লাহর নামে; সকল প্রশংসা আকাশমণ্ডলী ও পৃথিবীর সৃষ্টিকর্তা আল্লাহর বাণীবাহক করেন ফিরিশ্তাদেরকে যাহারা দুই দুই, তিন তিন অথবা চার চার পক্ষবিশিষ্ট। তিনি সৃষ্টিতে যাহা ইচ্ছা যােগ করেন। নিশ্চয় র্সববিষয়ে সক্ষম

Whatever of mercy (i.e. of good), Allah may grant to mankind, none can withhold it; and whatever He may withhold, none can grant it thereafter. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.

ما يفتح الله للناس من رحمة فلا ممسك لها ۖ وما يمسك فلا مرسل له من بعده ۚ وهو العزيز الحكيم

মানুষের প্রতি কোন অনুগ্রহ অবারিত করিলে কেহ উহা নিবারণকারী নাই এবং তিনি কিছু নিরুদ্ধ করিতে চাহিলে তৎপর কেহ উহার উন্মুক্তকারী নাই। তিনি পরাক্রমশালী, প্রজ্ঞাময়।

O mankind! Remember the Grace of Allah upon you! Is there any creator other than Allah who provides for you from the sky (rain) and the earth? La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He). How then are you turning away (from Him)?

يا أيها الناس اذكروا نعمت الله عليكم ۚ هل من خالق غير الله يرزقكم من السماء والأرض ۚ لا إله إلا هو ۖ فأنى تؤفكون

হে মানুষ! তোমাদের প্রতি আল্লাহর অনুগ্রহ স্মরণ কর। ব্যতীত কি কোন স্রষ্টা আছে, যে তোমাদেরকে আকাশমণ্ডলী ও পৃথিবী হইতে রিযিক দান করে? তিনি ব্যতীত কোন ইলাহ্ নাই। সুতরাং কোথায় তোমরা বিপথে চালিত হইতেছ?

And if they belie you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), so were Messengers belied before you. And to Allah return all matters (for decision).

وإن يكذبوك فقد كذبت رسل من قبلك ۚ وإلى الله ترجع الأمور

ইহারা যদি তোমার প্রতি মিথ্যা আরোপ করে তবে তোমার পূর্বেও রাসূলগণের প্রতি মিথ্যা আরোপ করা হয়েছিল। আল্লাহর নিকটই সকল বিষয় প্রত্যানীত হইবে।

O mankind! Verily, the Promise of Allah is true. So let not this present life deceive you, and let not the chief deceiver (Satan) deceive you about Allah.

يا أيها الناس إن وعد الله حق ۖ فلا تغرنكم الحياة الدنيا ۖ ولا يغرنكم بالله الغرور

হে মানুষ ! নিশ্চয়ই প্রতিশ্রুতি সত্য; সুতরাং পার্থিব জীবন যেন তোমাদেরকে কিছুতেই প্রতারিত না করে এবং সেই প্রবঞ্চক যেন কিছুতেই সম্পর্কে তোমাদেরকে প্রবঞ্চিত না করে।

Surely, Shaitan (Satan) is an enemy to you, so take (treat) him as an enemy. He only invites his Hizb (followers) that they may become the dwellers of the blazing Fire.

إن الشيطان لكم عدو فاتخذوه عدوا ۚ إنما يدعو حزبه ليكونوا من أصحاب السعير

শয়তান তো তোমাদের শত্রু ; সুতরাং তাহাকে শত্রু হিসাবে গ্রহণ কর। সে তো তাহার দলবলকে আহ্বান করে কেবল এইজন্য যে, উহারা যেন জাহান্নামী হয়।

Those who disbelieve, theirs will be a severe torment; and those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah - Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, theirs will be forgiveness and a great reward (i.e. Paradise).

الذين كفروا لهم عذاب شديد ۖ والذين آمنوا وعملوا الصالحات لهم مغفرة وأجر كبير

যাহারা করে তাহাদের জন্য আছে কঠিন শাস্তিএবং যাহারা ঈমান আনে ও সৎকর্ম করে তাহাদের জন্য আছে ক্ষমা ও মহাপুরস্কার।

Is he, then, to whom the evil of his deeds is made fair-seeming, so that he considers it as good (equal to one who is rightly guided)? Verily, Allah sends astray whom He wills, and guides whom He wills. So destroy not yourself (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) in sorrow for them. Truly, Allah is the All-Knower of what they do!

أفمن زين له سوء عمله فرآه حسنا ۖ فإن الله يضل من يشاء ويهدي من يشاء ۖ فلا تذهب نفسك عليهم حسرات ۚ إن الله عليم بما يصنعون

কাহাকেও যদি তাহার মন্দকর্ম শোভন করিয়া দেখান হয় এবং সে ইহাকে উত্তম মনে করে, সেই ব্যক্তি কি তাহার সমান যে সৎকর্ম করে? যাহাকে ইচ্ছা বিভ্রান্ত করেন এবং যাহাকে ইচ্ছা সৎপথে পরিচালিত করেন। অতএব ইহাদের জন্য আক্ষেপ করিয়া তোমার প্রাণ শেষ কর না। নিশ্চয়ই জাননে তারা যা কর।

And it is Allah Who sends the winds, so that they raise up the clouds, and We drive them to a dead land, and revive therewith the earth after its death. As such (will be) the Resurrection!

والله الذي أرسل الرياح فتثير سحابا فسقناه إلى بلد ميت فأحيينا به الأرض بعد موتها ۚ كذلك النشور

বায়ু প্রেরণ করিয়া উহা দ্বারা মেঘমালা সঞ্চারিত করেন। অতঃপর আমি উহা নির্জীব ভূখণ্ডের দিকে পরিচালিত করি, অতঃপর আমি উহা দ্বারা ধরিত্রীকে উহার মৃত্যুর পর সঞ্জীবিত করি। এইরূপেই মৃত্যুর পর পুনরায় জীবিত করিয়া উঠানো হইবে।

Whosoever desires honour, (power and glory), then to Allah belong all honour, power and glory [and one can get honour, power and glory only by obeying and worshipping Allah (Alone)]. To Him ascend (all) the goodly words, and the righteous deeds exalt it (i.e. the goodly words are not accepted by Allah unless and until they are followed by good deeds), but those who plot evils, theirs will be severe torment. And the plotting of such will perish.

من كان يريد العزة فلله العزة جميعا ۚ إليه يصعد الكلم الطيب والعمل الصالح يرفعه ۚ والذين يمكرون السيئات لهم عذاب شديد ۖ ومكر أولئك هو يبور

কেহ সম্মান ও ক্ষমতা চাহিলে সে জানিয়া রাখুক, সকল সম্মান ও ক্ষমতা তো তাঁহারই দিকে পবিত্র বাণীসমূহ সমুত্থিত হয় এবং সৎকর্ম উহাকে উন্নীত করে, আর যাহারা মন্দ কাজের ফন্দি আঁটে তাহাদের জন্য আছে কঠিন শাস্তি। তাহাদের ফন্দি ব্যর্থ হইবেই।

And Allah did create you (Adam) from dust, then from Nutfah (male and female discharge semen drops i.e. Adam's offspring), then He made you pairs (male and female). And no female conceives or gives birth but with His Knowledge. And no aged man is granted a length of life nor is a part cut off from his life (or another man's life), but is in a Book (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz ) Surely, that is easy for Allah.

والله خلقكم من تراب ثم من نطفة ثم جعلكم أزواجا ۚ وما تحمل من أنثى ولا تضع إلا بعلمه ۚ وما يعمر من معمر ولا ينقص من عمره إلا في كتاب ۚ إن ذلك على الله يسير

তোমাদেরকে সৃষ্টি করিয়াছেন মৃত্তিকা হইতে ; অতঃপর রক্তবিন্দু হইতে, অতঃপর তোমাদেরকে করিয়াছেন যুগল ! অজ্ঞাতসারে কোন নারী গর্ভধারণ করে না এবং প্রসবও করে না। কোন দীর্ঘায়ু ব্যক্তির আয়ু বৃদ্ধি করা হয় না এবং তাহার আয়ু হরাস করা হয় কন্তিু তা লখিতি আছে কতিাব। নিশ্চয় এটা আল্লাহর পক্ষে সহজ।

And the two seas (kinds of water) are not alike: this is palatable, sweet and pleasant to drink, and that is salt and bitter. And from them both you eat fresh tender meat (fish), and derive the ornaments that you wear. And you see the ships cleaving (the sea-water as they sail through it), that you may seek of His Bounty, and that you may give thanks.

وما يستوي البحران هذا عذب فرات سائغ شرابه وهذا ملح أجاج ۖ ومن كل تأكلون لحما طريا وتستخرجون حلية تلبسونها ۖ وترى الفلك فيه مواخر لتبتغوا من فضله ولعلكم تشكرون

দরিয়া দুইটি একরূপ নয় : একটির পানি সুমিষ্ট ও সুপেয়, অপরটির পানি লোনা, খর। প্রত্যেকটি হইতে তোমরা তাজা গোশত্ আহার কর এবং আহরণ কর অলংকার যাহা তোমরা পরিধান কর, এবং তোমরা দেখ উহার বুক চিরিয়া নৌযান চলাচল করে যাহাতে তোমরা তাঁহার অনুগ্রহ অনুসন্ধান করিতে পার এবং যাহাতে তোমরা কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ কর।

He merges the night into the day (i.e. the decrease in the hours of the night is added to the hours of the day), and He merges the day into the night (i.e. the decrease in the hours of the day is added to the hours of the night). And He has subjected the sun and the moon: each runs its course for a term appointed. Such is Allah, your Lord; His is the kingdom. And those, whom you invoke or call upon instead of Him, own not even a Qitmir (the thin membrane over the date-stone).

يولج الليل في النهار ويولج النهار في الليل وسخر الشمس والقمر كل يجري لأجل مسمى ۚ ذلكم الله ربكم له الملك ۚ والذين تدعون من دونه ما يملكون من قطمير

তিনি রাত্রিকে দিবসে প্রবিষ্ট করান এবং দিবসকে প্রবিষ্ট করান রাত্রিতে, তিনি সূর্য ও চন্দ্রকে করিয়াছেন নিয়মাধীন ; প্রত্যেকে পরিভ্রমণ করে এক নির্দিষ্ট কাল পর্যন্ত। তিনিই তোমাদের প্রতিপালক। আধিপত্য তাঁহারই। এবং তোমরা আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে যাহাদেরকে ডাক তাহারা তো খর্জুর আঁটির আবরণেরও অধিকারী নয়।

If you invoke (or call upon) them, they hear not your call; and if (in case) they were to hear, they could not grant it (your request) to you. And on the Day of Resurrection, they will disown your worshipping them. And none can inform you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) like Him Who is the All-Knower (of everything).

إن تدعوهم لا يسمعوا دعاءكم ولو سمعوا ما استجابوا لكم ۖ ويوم القيامة يكفرون بشرككم ۚ ولا ينبئك مثل خبير

তোমরা তাহাদেরকে আহ্বান করিলে তাহারা তোমাদের আহ্বান শুনিবে না এবং শুনিলেও তোমাদের আহবানে সাড়া দিবে না। তোমরা তাহাদেরকে যে শরীক করিয়াছ তাহা উহারা কিয়ামতের দিন অস্বীকার করিবে। সর্বজ্ঞের ন্যায় কেহই তোমাকে অবহিত করিতে পারে না।

O mankind! it is you who stand in need of Allah. But Allah is Rich (Free of all needs), Worthy of all praise.

۞ يا أيها الناس أنتم الفقراء إلى الله ۖ والله هو الغني الحميد

হে মানুষ, তােমরা আল্লাহর গলগ্রহ। আর ; তিনি অভাবমুক্ত, প্রশংসতি।

If He willed, He could destroy you and bring about a new creation.

তিনি ইচ্ছা করিলে তোমাদেরকে অপসৃত করিতে পারেন এবং এক নূতন সৃষ্টি আনয়ন করিতে পারেন।

And that is not hard for Allah.

এটা আল্লাহর পক্ষে কঠনি নয়।

And no bearer of burdens shall bear another's burden; and if one heavily laden calls another to (bear) his load, nothing of it will be lifted even though he be near of kin. You (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) can warn only those who fear their Lord unseen and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat). And he who purifies himself (from all kinds of sins), then he purifies only for the benefit of his ownself. And to Allah is the (final) Return (of all).

ولا تزر وازرة وزر أخرى ۚ وإن تدع مثقلة إلى حملها لا يحمل منه شيء ولو كان ذا قربى ۗ إنما تنذر الذين يخشون ربهم بالغيب وأقاموا الصلاة ۚ ومن تزكى فإنما يتزكى لنفسه ۚ وإلى الله المصير

কোন বহনকারী অন্যের বোঝা বহন করিবে না; কোন ভারাক্রান্ত ব্যক্তি যদি কাহাকেও ইহা বহন করিতে আহবান করে তবে উহার কিছুই বহন করা হইবে না - সে নিকট - আত্মীয় হইলেও। তুমি কেবল তাহাদেরকেই সতর্ক করিতে পার যাহারা তাহাদের প্রতিপালককে না দেখিয়া ভয় করে এবং কায়েম করে। যে কেহ নিজকে পরিশোধন করে সে তো পরিশোধন করে স্বীয় কল্যাণরে জন্যইে আল্লাহর নকিটই সকলরে প্রত্যার্বতন।

Not alike are the blind (disbelievers in Islamic Monotheism) and the seeing (believers in Islamic Monotheism).

Nor are (alike) darkness (disbelief) and light (Belief in Islamic Monotheism).

Nor are (alike) the living (i.e. the believers) and the dead (i.e. the disbelievers). Verily, Allah makes whom He wills to hear, but you cannot make hear those who are in graves.

وما يستوي الأحياء ولا الأموات ۚ إن الله يسمع من يشاء ۖ وما أنت بمسمع من في القبور

You (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) are only a warner (i.e. your duty is to convey Allah's Message to mankind but the guidance is Allah's).

Verily We have sent you with the truth, a bearer of glad tidings and a warner. And there never was a nation but a warner had passed among them.

إنا أرسلناك بالحق بشيرا ونذيرا ۚ وإن من أمة إلا خلا فيها نذير

আমি তো তোমাকে সত্যসহ প্রেরণ করিয়াছি সুসংবাদদাতা ও সতর্ককারীরূপে; এমন কোন সম্প্রদায় নাই যাহার নিকট সতর্ককারী প্রেরিত হয় নাই।

And if they belie you, those before them also belied. Their Messengers came to them with clear signs, and with the Scriptures, and the book giving light.

وإن يكذبوك فقد كذب الذين من قبلهم جاءتهم رسلهم بالبينات وبالزبر وبالكتاب المنير

ইহারা যদি তোমার প্রতি মিথ্যা আরোপ করে তবে ইহাদের পূর্ববর্তীগণও তো মিথ্যা আরোপ করিয়াছিল - তাহাদের নিকট আসিয়াছিল তাহাদের রাসূলগণ সুস্পষ্ট নিদর্শন, গ্রন্থাদি ও দীপ্তিমান কিতাবসহ।

Then I took hold of those who disbelieved: and how terrible was My denial (punishment)!

ثم أخذت الذين كفروا ۖ فكيف كان نكير

অতঃপর আমি কাফিরদেরকে শাস্তি দিয়াছিলাম। কী ভয়ংকর আমার শাস্তি!

See you not that Allah sends down water (rain) from the sky, and We produce therewith fruits of various colours, and among the mountains are streaks white and red, of varying colours and (others) very black.

ألم تر أن الله أنزل من السماء ماء فأخرجنا به ثمرات مختلفا ألوانها ۚ ومن الجبال جدد بيض وحمر مختلف ألوانها وغرابيب سود

তুমি কি দেখ না, আকাশ হইতে বৃষ্টিপাত করেন; এবং আমি ইহা দ্বারা বিচিত্র বর্ণের ফলমূল উদ্গত করি। আর পাহাড়ের মধ্যে আছে বিচিত্র বর্ণের পথ - শুভ্র, লাল ও নিকষ কাল।

And likewise of men and Ad-Dawabb [moving (living) creatures, beasts], and cattle, are of various colours. It is only those who have knowledge among His slaves that fear Allah. Verily, Allah is All-Mighty, Oft-Forgiving.

ومن الناس والدواب والأنعام مختلف ألوانه كذلك ۗ إنما يخشى الله من عباده العلماء ۗ إن الله عزيز غفور

এইভাবে রং - বেরং - এর মানুষ, জন্তু ও আন‘আম রহিয়াছে। বান্দাদের মধ্যে যাহারা তাঁকে ভয় কর। নিশ্চয় পরাক্রমশালী ক্ষমাশীল।

Verily, those who recite the Book of Allah (this Qur'an), and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and spend (in charity) out of what We have provided for them, secretly and openly, they hope for a (sure) trade-gain that will never perish.

إن الذين يتلون كتاب الله وأقاموا الصلاة وأنفقوا مما رزقناهم سرا وعلانية يرجون تجارة لن تبور

যাহারা কিতাব তিলাওয়াত করে, কায়েম করে, আমি তাহাদেরকে যে রিযিক দিয়াছি তাহা হইতে গোপনে ও প্রকাশ্যে ব্যয় করে, তাহারাই আশা করে এমন ব্যবসায়ের, যাহার ক্ষয় নাই।

That He may pay them their wages in full, and give them (even) more, out of His Grace. Verily He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Ready to appreciate (good deeds and to recompense).

ليوفيهم أجورهم ويزيدهم من فضله ۚ إنه غفور شكور

এইজন্য যে, তাহাদের কর্মের পূর্ণ প্রতিফল দিবেন এবং তিনি নিজ অনুগ্রহে তাহাদেরকে আরও বেশি দিবেন। তিনি তো ক্ষমাশীল, গুণগ্রাহী।

And what We have revealed to you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), of the Book (the Qur'an), it is the (very) truth [that you (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) and your followers must act on its instructions], confirming that which was (revealed) before it. Verily! Allah is indeed All-Aware, and All-Seer of His slaves.

والذي أوحينا إليك من الكتاب هو الحق مصدقا لما بين يديه ۗ إن الله بعباده لخبير بصير

আমি তোমার প্রতি যে কিতাব অবতীর্ণ করিয়াছি তাহা সত্য, ইহা পূর্ববর্তী কিতাবের সত্যায়ন কারী নিশ্চয়ই তাঁহার বান্দাদের সমস্ত কিছু জানেন ও দেখেন।

Then We gave the Book (the Qur'an) as inheritance to such of Our slaves whom We chose (the followers of Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم). Then of them are some who wrong their ownselves, and of them are some who follow a middle course, and of them are some who are, by Allah's Leave, foremost in good deeds. That (inheritance of the Qur'an) - that is indeed a great grace.

ثم أورثنا الكتاب الذين اصطفينا من عبادنا ۖ فمنهم ظالم لنفسه ومنهم مقتصد ومنهم سابق بالخيرات بإذن الله ۚ ذلك هو الفضل الكبير

অতঃপর আমি কিতাবের অধিকারী করিলাম আমার বান্দাদের মধ্য হইতে যাহাদেরকে আমি মনোনীত করিয়াছি; তবে তাহাদের কেহ নিজের প্রতি অত্যাচারী, কেহ মধ্যপন্থী এবং আল্লাহর ইচ্ছায় কল্যাণকর কাজে অগ্রগামী। ইহাইমহাঅনুগ্রহ।

'Adn (Eden) Paradise (everlasting Gardens) will they enter, therein will they be adorned with bracelets of gold and pearls, and their garments therein will be of silk.

جنات عدن يدخلونها يحلون فيها من أساور من ذهب ولؤلؤا ۖ ولباسهم فيها حرير

স্থায়ী জান্নাত, যাহাতে তাহারা প্রবেশ করিবে, সেখানে তাহাদেরকে স্বর্ণ - নির্মিত কংকন ও মুক্তা দ্বারা অলংকৃত করা হইবে এবং সেখানে তাহাদের পোশাক - পরিচ্ছদ হইবে রেশমের।

And they will say: "All the praises and thanks be to Allah Who has removed from us (all) grief. Verily, our Lord is indeed Oft-Forgiving, Most Ready to appreciate (good deeds and to recompense).

But those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allah - Islamic Monotheism), for them will be the Fire of Hell. Neither will it have a complete killing effect on them so that they die, nor shall its torment be lightened for them. Thus do We requite every !

والذين كفروا لهم نار جهنم لا يقضى عليهم فيموتوا ولا يخفف عنهم من عذابها ۚ كذلك نجزي كل كفور

কিন্তু যাহারা করে তাহাদের জন্য আছে জাহান্নামের আগুন। উহাদের মৃত্যুর আদেশ দেওয়া হইবে না যে, উহারা মরিবে এবং উহাদের হইতে জাহান্নামের শাস্তিও লাঘব করা হইবে না। এইভাবে আমি প্রত্যেক অকৃতজ্ঞকে শাস্তি দিয়া থাকি।

Therein they will cry: "Our Lord! Bring us out, we shall do righteous good deeds, not (the evil deeds) that we used to do." (Allah will reply): "Did We not give you lives long enough, so that whosoever would receive admonition could receive it? And the warner came to you. So taste you (the evil of your deeds). For the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers) there is no helper."

وهم يصطرخون فيها ربنا أخرجنا نعمل صالحا غير الذي كنا نعمل ۚ أولم نعمركم ما يتذكر فيه من تذكر وجاءكم النذير ۖ فذوقوا فما للظالمين من نصير

সেখানে তাহারা আর্তনাদ করিয়া বলিবে, ‘হে আমাদের প্রতিপালক! আমাদেরকে নিষ্কৃতি দাও, আমরা সৎকর্ম করিব, পূর্বে যাহা করিতাম তাহা করিব না।’ বলিবেন, ‘আমি কি তোমাদেরকে এতো দীর্ঘ জীবন দান করি নাই যে, তখন কেহ সতর্ক হইতে চাহিলে সতর্ক হইতে পারিতে? তোমাদের নিকট তো সতর্ককারীও আসিয়াছিল। সুতরাং শাস্তি আস্বাদন কর; জালিমদের কোন সাহায্যকারী নাই।’

Verily, Allah is the All-Knower of the Unseen of the heavens and the earth. Verily! He is the All-Knower of that is in the breasts.

إن الله عالم غيب السماوات والأرض ۚ إنه عليم بذات الصدور

He it is Who has made you successors generations after generations in the earth, so whosoever disbelieves (in Islamic Monotheism) on him will be his disbelief. And the disbelief of the disbelievers adds nothing but hatred of their Lord. And the disbelief of the disbelievers adds nothing but loss.

هو الذي جعلكم خلائف في الأرض ۚ فمن كفر فعليه كفره ۖ ولا يزيد الكافرين كفرهم عند ربهم إلا مقتا ۖ ولا يزيد الكافرين كفرهم إلا خسارا

তিনিই তোমাদেরকে পৃথিবীতে প্রতিনিধি করিয়াছেন। সুতরাং কেহ করিলে তাহার কুফরীর জন্য সে নিজেই দায়ী হইবে। কাফিরদের কেবল উহাদের প্রতিপালকের ক্রোধই বৃদ্ধি করে এবং কাফিরদের উহাদের ক্ষতিই বৃদ্ধি করে।

Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "Tell me or inform me (what) do you think about your (so-called) partner-gods to whom you call upon besides Allah? Show me, what they have created of the earth. Or have they any share in the heavens? Or have We given them a Book, so that they act on clear proof therefrom? Nay, the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers) promise one another nothing but delusions."

قل أرأيتم شركاءكم الذين تدعون من دون الله أروني ماذا خلقوا من الأرض أم لهم شرك في السماوات أم آتيناهم كتابا فهم على بينت منه ۚ بل إن يعد الظالمون بعضهم بعضا إلا غرورا

বল, ‘তোমরা পরিবর্তে যাহাদেরকে ডাক সেই সকল শরীকের কথা ভাবিয়া দেখিয়াছ কি? তাহারা পৃথিবীতে কিছু সৃষ্টি করিয়া থাকিলে আমাকে দেখাও; অথবা আকাশমণ্ডলীর সৃষ্টিতে উহাদের কোন অংশ আছে কি? না কি আমি উহাদেরকে এমন কোন কিতাব দিয়াছি যাহার প্রমাণের উপর ইহারা নির্ভর করে?’ বস্তুত জালিমরা একে অপরকে মিথ্যা প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়া থাকে। -

Verily! Allah grasps the heavens and the earth lest they should move away from their places, and if they were to move away from their places, there is not one that could grasp them after Him. Truly, He is Ever Most Forbearing, Oft-Forgiving.

۞ إن الله يمسك السماوات والأرض أن تزولا ۚ ولئن زالتا إن أمسكهما من أحد من بعده ۚ إنه كان حليما غفورا

আকাশমণ্ডলী ও পৃথিবীকে সংরক্ষণ করেন, যাহাতে উহারা স্থানচ্যুত না হয়, উহারা স্থানচ্যুত হইলে তিনি ব্যতীত কে উহাদেরকে রক্ষা করিবে? তিনি তো অতি সহনশীল, ক্ষমাপরায়ণ।

And they swore by Allah their most binding oath that if a warner came to them, they would be more guided than any of the nations (before them); yet when a warner (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) came to them, it increased in them nothing but flight (from the truth)

وأقسموا بالله جهد أيمانهم لئن جاءهم نذير ليكونن أهدى من إحدى الأمم ۖ فلما جاءهم نذير ما زادهم إلا نفورا

ইহারা দৃঢ়তার সঙ্গে শপথ করিয়া বলিত যে, ইহাদের নিকট কোন সতর্ককারী আসিলে ইহারা অন্য সকল সম্প্রদায় অপেক্ষা সৎপথের অধিকতর অনুসারী হইবে; কিন্তু ইহাদের নিকট যখন সতর্ককারী আসিল তখন তাহা কেবল উহাদের বিমুখতাই বৃদ্ধি করিল -

(They took to flight because of their) arrogance in the land and their plotting of evil. But the evil plot encompasses only him who makes it. Then, can they expect anything (else) but the Sunnah (way of dealing) of the peoples of old? So no change will you find in Allah's Sunnah (way of dealing), and no turning off will you find in Allah's Sunnah (way of dealing).

استكبارا في الأرض ومكر السيئ ۚ ولا يحيق المكر السيئ إلا بأهله ۚ فهل ينظرون إلا سنت الأولين ۚ فلن تجد لسنت الله تبديلا ۖ ولن تجد لسنت الله تحويلا

পৃথিবীতে ঔদ্ধত্য প্রকাশ এবং কূট ষড়যন্ত্রের কারণে। কূট ষড়যন্ত্র উহার উদ্যোক্তাদেরকেই পরিবেষ্টন করে। তবে কি ইহারা প্রতীক্ষা করিতেছে পূর্ববর্তীদের প্রতি প্রযুক্ত বিধানের? কিন্তু তুমি বিধানের কখনও কোন পরিবর্তন পাইবে না এবং বিধানের কোন ব্যতিক্রমও দেখিবে না।

Have they not travelled in the land, and seen what was the end of those before them - though they were superior to them in power? Allah is not such that anything in the heavens or in the earth escapes Him. Verily, He is All-Knowing, All-Omnipotent.

أولم يسيروا في الأرض فينظروا كيف كان عاقبة الذين من قبلهم وكانوا أشد منهم قوة ۚ وما كان الله ليعجزه من شيء في السماوات ولا في الأرض ۚ إنه كان عليما قديرا

ইহারা কি পৃথিবীতে পরিভ্রমণ করে নাই? তাহা হইলে ইহাদের পূর্ববর্তীদের পরিণাম কী হইয়াছিল তাহা দেখিতে পাইত। উহারা তো ইহাদের অপেক্ষা অধিকতর বলশালী ছিল। এমন নন যে, আকাশমণ্ডলী এবং পৃথিবীর কোন কিছুই তাঁহাকে অক্ষম করিতে পারে; তিনি সর্বজ্ঞ, সর্বশক্তিমান।

And if Allah were to punish men for that which they earned, He would not leave a moving (living) creature on the surface of the earth; but He gives them respite to an appointed term: and when their term comes, then verily, Allah is Ever All-Seer of His slaves.

ولو يؤاخذ الله الناس بما كسبوا ما ترك على ظهرها من دابة ولكن يؤخرهم إلى أجل مسمى ۖ فإذا جاء أجلهم فإن الله كان بعباده بصيرا

মানুষকে তাহাদের কৃতকর্মের জন্য শাস্তি দিলে ভূপৃষ্ঠে কোন জীব - জন্তুকেই রেহাই দিতেন না, কিন্তু তিনি এক নিদির্ষ্ট কাল পর্যন্ত তাহাদেরকে অবকাশ দিয়া থাকেন। অতঃপর যখন সে নর্দিষ্টি ময়োদ এসে যাবে তখন আল্লাহর সব বান্দা তাঁর দৃষ্টতিে থাকব।
