In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. All the praises and thanks be to Allah, to Whom belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. His is all the praises and thanks in the Hereafter, and He is the All-Wise, the All-Aware.
Pickthall
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. Praise be to Allah, unto Whom belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth. His is the praise in the Hereafter, and He is the Wise, the Aware.

সমস্ত প্রশংসা আল্লাহর, যিনি মালিক মহাকাশ ও পৃথিবীতে যা কিছু আছে সব কিছুর, আখিরাতেও সমস্ত প্রশংসা তাঁর। তিনি প্রজ্ঞাবান, সর্ববিষয়ে জ্ঞাত।

He knows that which goes into the earth and that which comes forth from it, and that which descends from the heaven and that which ascends to it. And He is the Most Merciful, the Oft-Forgiving.

He knoweth that which goeth into the earth and that which cometh forth from it, and that descendeth from the heaven and that which ascendeth into it. He is the Merciful, the Forgiving.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তিনি জানেন যা প্রবেশ করে জমিনে এবং যা বের হয় জমিন থেকে। তিনি জানেন যা নাযিল হয় আসমান থেকে এবং যা মেরাজ হয় (উঠে) আকাশে। তিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতীব ক্ষমাশীল।

Those who disbelieve say: "The Hour will not come to us." Say: "Yes, by my Lord, the All-Knower of the Unseen, it will come to you; not even the weight of an atom (or a small ant) or less than that or greater escapes His Knowledge in the heavens or in the earth but it is in a Clear Book (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz).

Those who disbelieve say: The Hour will never come unto us. Say: Nay, by my Lord, but it is coming unto you surely. (He is) the Knower of the Unseen. Not an atom's weight, or less than that or greater, escapeth Him in the heavens or in the earth, but it is in a clear Record,

কাফিররা বলে: ‘কিয়ামত আমাদের কাছে আসবেই না।’ তুমি বলো: ‘হাঁ, আমার প্রভুর শপথ, সেটা অবশ্যি তোমাদের কাছে আসবে। তিনি গায়েবের জ্ঞানী, মহাকাশ এবং পৃথিবীতে অণু পরিমাণ, কিংবা তার চাইতে ছোট বা বড় কোনো কিছুই তাঁর অগোচরে নেই। সবকিছুই রেকর্ড করা আছে সুস্পষ্ট কিতাবে।’

That He may recompense those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah - Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds. Those, theirs is forgiveness and Rizq Karim (generous provision, i.e. Paradise).
Pickthall
That He may reward those who believe and do good works. For them is pardon and a rich provision.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
এর কারণ, যারা ঈমান আনে এবং আমলে সালেহ্ করে তিনি তাদের পুরস্কার দেবেন এবং তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে মাগফিরাত ও সম্মানজনক রিযিক।

But those who strive against Our Ayat (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) to frustrate them - those, for them will be a severe painful torment.

But those who strive against Our revelations, challenging (Us), theirs will be a painful doom of wrath.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
আর যারা আমাদের আয়াতকে ব্যর্থ করার চেষ্টা করে তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে ভয়ংকর বেদনাদায়ক আযাব।

And those who have been given knowledge see that what is revealed to you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) from your Lord is the truth, and that it guides to the Path of the Exalted in Might, Owner of all praise.

Those who have been given knowledge see that what is revealed unto thee from thy Lord is the truth and leadeth unto the path of the Mighty, the Owner of Praise.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
যাদের জ্ঞান দেয়া হয়েছে, তাদের রায় হলো, তোমার প্রভুর পক্ষ থেকে যা নাযিল হয়েছে সেটা সত্য। সেটি পথ দেখায় মহাশক্তিধর সপ্রশংসিত আল্লাহর পথ।

Those who disbelieve say: "Shall we direct you to a man (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) who will tell you (that) when you have become fully disintegrated into dust with full dispersion, then you will be created (again) anew?"

Those who disbelieve say: Shall we show you a man who will tell you (that) when ye have become dispersed in dust with most complete dispersal still, even then, ye will be created anew ?
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
কাফিররা বলে: ‘‘আমরা কি তোমাদের এমন এক ব্যক্তির সন্ধান দেবো, যে তোমাদের বলে: তোমাদের দেহ পুরোপুরি মাটির সাথে মিশে যাবার পর তোমাদের নতুন করে সৃষ্টি করা হবে?’’

Has he (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) invented a lie against Allah, or is there a madness in him? Nay, but those who disbelieve in the Hereafter are (themselves) in a torment, and in far error.

Hath he invented a lie concerning Allah, or is there in him a madness ? Nay, but those who disbelieve in the Hereafter are in torment and far error.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
সে কি মিথ্যা রচনা করে আল্লাহর প্রতি আরোপ করে? নাকি তাকে জিনে ধরেছে? বরং যারা আখিরাতের প্রতি ঈমান রাখেনা তারা রয়েছে আযাবের মধ্যে এবং ঘোরতর ভুলপথে।

See they not what is before them and what is behind them, of the heaven and the earth? If We will, We shall sink the earth with them, or cause a piece of the heaven to fall upon them. Verily, in this is a sign for every slave who turns to Allah in repentance (i.e. the one who believes in the Oneness of Allah and performs deeds of His obedience and always begs His Pardon).

Have they not observed what is before them and what is behind them of the sky and the earth ? If We will, We can make the earth swallow them, or cause obliteration from the sky to fall on them. Lo! herein surely is a portent for every slave who turneth (to Allah) repentant.

তারা কি তাদের সামনের পেছনের আসমান জমিনে যা আছে সেগুলোর প্রতি লক্ষ্য করেনা? আমরা চাইলে তাদেরকেসহ জমিনকে খসিয়ে দিতে পারি, অথবা তাদের উপর আকাশ ভেংগে ফেলতে পারি। নিশ্চয়ই এতে রয়েছে একটি নিদর্শন প্রতিটি আল্লাহমুখী বান্দার জন্যে।

And indeed We bestowed grace on Dawud (David) from Us (saying): "O you mountains. Glorify (Allah) with him! And you birds (also)! And We made the iron soft for him."

And assuredly We gave David grace from Us, (saying): O ye hills and birds, echo his psalms of praise! And We made the iron supple unto him,

আমরা আমাদের পক্ষ থেকে দাউদের প্রতি অনুগ্রহ করেছিলাম। আমরা নির্দেশ দিয়েছিলাম: ‘হে পর্বতমালা! তোমরা দাউদের সাথে আমার পবিত্রতা ঘোষণা করো এবং পাখিদেরকেও দিয়েছিলাম এ নির্দেশ। আর আমরা তার জন্যে লোহা গলাবার ব্যবস্থা করে দিয়েছিলাম।’

Saying: "Make you perfect coats of mail, and balance well the rings of chain armour, and work you (men) righteousness. Truly, I am All-Seer of what you do."
Pickthall
Saying: Make thou long coats of mail and measure the links (thereof). And do ye right. Lo! I am Seer of what ye do.

বলেছিলাম: ‘তুমি পূর্ণ মাপের বর্ম তৈরি করো এবং বুননের ক্ষেত্রে পরিমাণ রক্ষা করো। তোমরা আমলে সালেহ্ করো। তোমরা যা আমল করো সেদিকে আমি দৃষ্টি রাখছি।’

And to Solomon (We subjected) the wind, its morning (stride from sunrise till midnoon) was a month's (journey), and its afternoon (stride from the midday decline of the sun to sunset) was a month's (journey i.e. in one day he could travel two months' (journey). And We caused a fount of (molten) brass to flow for him, and there were jinn that worked in front of him, by the Leave of his Lord. And whosoever of them turned aside from Our Command, We shall cause him to taste of the torment of the blazing Fire.

And unto Solomon (We gave) the wind, whereof the morning course was a month's journey and the evening course a month's journey, and We caused the fount of copper to gush forth for him, and (We gave him) certain of the jinn who worked before him by permission of his Lord. And such of them as deviated from Our command, them We caused to taste the punishment of flaming Fire.

আমরা সুলাইমানের জন্যে নিয়োজিত রেখেছিলাম বাতাসকে, যা একমাসের পথ অতিক্রম করতো সকালে এবং এক মাসের পথ অতিক্রম করতো বিকেলে। আমরা তার জন্যে প্রবাহিত করে দিয়েছিলাম গলিত তামার একটি ঝরণাধারা। তার প্রভুর অনুমতিক্রমে একদল জিন তার সামনে কাজ করতো। তাদের কেউ আমাদের নির্দেশ অমান্য করলে আমরা তাকে আস্বাদন করাবো জ্বলন্ত আগুনের আযাব।

They worked for him as he desired, (making) high rooms, images, basins as large as reservoirs, and (cooking) cauldrons fixed (in their places). "Work you, O family of Dawud (David), with thanks!" But few of My slaves are grateful.

They made for him what he willed: synagogues and statues, basins like wells and boilers built into the ground. Give thanks, O House of David! Few of My bondmen are thankful.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তারা সুলাইমানের ইচ্ছা অনুযায়ী কাজ করতো প্রাসাদ নির্মাণের, চিত্রাংকনের, হাউজের মতো বড় আকারের পাত্র নির্মাণের এবং মজবুতভাবে স্থাপিত ডেক নির্মাণের। হে দাউদের পরিবার! তোমরা কৃতজ্ঞতার সাথে কাজ করো। তবে আমার বান্দাদের অল্প লোকই শোকর আদায়কারী।

Then when We decreed death for him [Sulaiman (Solomon)], nothing them (jinn) of his death except a little worm of the earth, which kept (slowly) gnawing away at his stick. So when he fell down, the jinn saw clearly that if they had known the Unseen, they would not have stayed in the humiliating torment.

And when We decreed death for him, nothing showed his death to them save a creeping creature of the earth which gnawed away his staff. And when he fell the jinn saw clearly how, if they had known the Unseen, they would not have continued in despised toil.

আমরা যখন সুলাইমানের মউত ঘটালাম, তখন তার মৃত্যুর ঘটনা জানালো কেবল মাটির পোকা, যারা তার লাঠি খাচ্ছিল। যখন সে পড়ে গেলো, তখন জিনেরা বুঝতে পারলো যে, তারা যদি জানতো, তাহলে তাদেরকে এই লাঞ্ছনাকর শাস্তিতে আবদ্ধ থাকতে হতো না।

Indeed there was for Saba' (Sheba) a sign in their dwelling-place - two gardens on the right hand and on the left; (and it was said to them:) "Eat of the provision of your Lord, and be grateful to Him." A fair land and an Oft-Forgiving Lord!

There was indeed a sign for Sheba in their dwelling - place: Two gardens on the right hand and the left (as who should say): Eat of the provision of your Lord and render thanks to Him. A fair land and an indulgent Lord!
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
সাবা বাসীদের জন্যে তাদের বসত ভূমিতে ছিলো একটি নিদর্শন। দুটি উদ্যান ছিলো, একটি ডানদিকে, একটি বামদিকে। তাদের বলা হয়েছিল: তোমরা তোমাদের প্রভুর দেয়া জীবিকা ভোগ করো আর তাঁর কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করো। উত্তম নগরী এবং ক্ষমাশীল প্রভু।

But they turned away (from the obedience of Allah), so We sent against them Sail Al-'Arim (flood released from the dam), and We converted their two gardens into gardens producing bitter bad fruit, and tamarisks, and some few lote-trees.

But they were froward, so We sent on them the flood of 'Iram, and in exchange for their two gardens gave them two gardens bearing bitter fruit, the tamarisk and here and there a lote - tree.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
পরে তারা অবাধ্য হয়ে পড়ে। ফলে আমরা তাদের উপর প্রবাহিত করে দিলাম বাঁধভাংগা বন্যা, আর উদ্যান দুটিকে বদল করে দিলাম এমন দুটি উদ্যানে যেগুলোতে উৎপন্ন হয় বিস্বাদ ফলমূল, ঝাউ গাছ আর কিছু কুল গাছ।

Like this We requited them because they were ungrateful disbelievers. And never do We requite in such a way except those who are ungrateful (disbelievers).

This We awarded them because of their ingratitude. Punish We ever any save the ingrates ?

আমরা তাদের এই শাস্তি দিয়েছিলাম তাদের কুফুরির কারণে। আমরা অকৃতজ্ঞদের ছাড়া আর কাউকেও এ রকম শাস্তি দেই না।

And We placed, between them and the towns which We had blessed, towns easy to be seen, and We made the stages (of journey) between them easy (saying): "Travel in them safely both by night and day."

And We set, between them and the towns which We had blessed, towns easy to be seen, and We made the stage between them easy, (saying): Travel in them safely both by night and day.

তাদের এবং যেসব জনপদের প্রতি আমরা অনুগ্রহ করেছিলাম, সেগুলোর মধ্যবর্তী স্থানে প্রকাশ্য বহু জনপদ স্থাপন করেছিলাম এবং সেসব জনপদে ভ্রমণের যথাযথ ব্যবস্থা করেছিলাম আর তাদের বলেছিলাম: তোমরা এসব জনপদে নিরাপদে ভ্রমণ করো দিনে এবং রাতে।

But they said: "Our Lord! Make the stages between our journey longer," and they wronged themselves; so We made them as tales (in the land), and We dispersed them all totally. Verily, in this are indeed signs for every steadfast, grateful (person).

But they said: Our Lord! Make the stage between our journeys longer. And they wronged themselves, therefore We made them bywords (in the land) and scattered them abroad, a total scattering. Lo! herein verily are portents for each steadfast, grateful (heart).
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
কিন্তু তারা বলেছিল: ‘আমাদের প্রভু! আমাদের সফরের মনযিলের ব্যবধান বাড়িয়ে দাও।’ তারা নিজেদের প্রতি যুলুম করেছিল। ফলে আমরা তাদেরকে কাহিনীর বিষয়বস্তুতে পরিণত করে দিয়েছিলাম, আর তাদেরকে ছিন্নভিন্ন করে দিয়েছিলাম। নিশ্চয়ই এতে রয়েছে অনেক নিদর্শন প্রত্যেক ধৈর্যশীল কৃতজ্ঞ ব্যক্তির জন্যে।

And indeed Iblis (Satan) did prove true his thought about them: and they followed him, all except a group of true believers (in the Oneness of Allah).

And Satan indeed found his calculation true concerning them, for they follow him, all save a group of true believers.

তাদের উপর ইবলিস তার ধারণা সত্য প্রমাণ করেছিল, ফলে তাদের মধ্যে একটি পক্ষ ছাড়া বাকি সকলেই তার ইত্তেবা করেছিল।

And he (Iblis - Satan) had no authority over them, - except that We might test him who believes in the Hereafter from him who is in doubt about it. And your Lord is a Hafiz (Watchful) over everything. (All-Knower of everything i.e. He keeps record of every person as regards deeds, and then He will reward them accordingly).

And he had no warrant whatsoever against them, save that We would know him who believeth in the Hereafter from him who is in doubt thereof; and thy Lord (O Muhammad) taketh note of all things.

অথচ তাদের উপর ইবলিসের কোনো আধিপত্য ছিলনা। কারা আখিরাতে , আর কারা তাতে সন্দিহান তা প্রকাশ করে দেয়াই ছিলো আমার উদ্দেশ্য। তোমার প্রভু প্রতিটি বিষয়ে হিফাযতকারী।

Say: (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم to polytheists, pagans) "Call upon those whom you assert (to be associate gods) besides Allah, they possess not even an atom's (or a small ant's) weight either in the heavens or on the earth, nor have they any share in either, nor there is for Him any supporter from among them.

Say (O Muhammad): Call upon those whom ye set up beside Allah! They possess not an atom's weight either in the heavens or in the earth, nor have they any share in either, nor hath He an auxiliary among them.

বলো: ‘‘তোমরা আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে যাদের ইলাহ্ মনে করো তাদের ডাকো। তারা মহাকাশ এবং পৃথিবীতে অণু পরিমাণ কিছুরও মালিক নয়। মহাকাশ এবং পৃথিবীর মধ্যে কোনো কিছুতেই তাদের কোনো শিরক (অংশ) নেই এবং কেউই তাঁর (আল্লাহর) সাহায্যকারীও নয়।

Intercession with Him profits not except for him whom He permits. So much so that when fear is banished from their (angels') hearts, they (angels) say: "What is it that your Lord has said?" They say: "The truth. And He is the Most High, the Most Great."

No intercession availeth with Him save for him whom He permitteth. Yet, when fear is banished from their hearts, they say: What was it that your Lord said ? They say: The Truth. And He is the Sublime, the Great.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তাঁর ওখানে কারো কোনো শাফায়াত বিন্দুমাত্র কাজে আসবেনা, তবে তিনি নিজেই যদি কাউকেও (কারো ব্যাপারে) সুপারিশ করার অনুমতি দেন সেটা ভিন্ন কথা। পরে যখন তাদের মন থেকে ভয় দূর হবে, তখন তারা একে অপরকে জিজ্ঞাসা করবে: ‘তোমাদের প্রভু কী বললেন?’ তারা বলবে: ‘তিনি সত্য বলেছেন।’ আর তিনি অতি মর্যাদাবান, অতিশয় মহান।’

Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم to polytheists, pagans) "Who gives you provision from the heavens and the earth?" Say: "Allah. And verily, (either) we or you are rightly guided or in plain error."

Say: Who giveth you provision from the sky and the earth ? Say: Allah, Lo! we or you assuredly are rightly guided or in error manifest.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
বলো: ‘আসমান এবং জমিন থেকে তোমাদের কে রিযিক দেন?’ বলো: ‘।’ হয় আমরা, না হয় তোমরা হিদায়াতের উপর প্রতিষ্ঠিত, অথবা সুস্পষ্ট গোমরাহিতে নিমজ্জিত।

Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم to polytheists, pagans) "You will not be asked about our sins, nor shall we be asked of what you do."

Say: Ye will not be asked of what we committed, nor shall we be asked of what ye do.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
বলো: ‘আমাদের অপরাধের জন্যে তোমাদের জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করা হবেনা, আর তোমাদের কর্মকান্ডের জন্যেও আমাদের জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করা হবেনা।’

Say: "Our Lord will assemble us all together (on the Day of Resurrection), then He will judge between us with truth. And He is the Just Judge, the All-Knower of the true state of affairs [Tafsir Ibn Kathir]

Say: Our Lord will bring us all together, then He will judge between us with truth. He is the All - knowing Judge.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
বলো: ‘আমাদের প্রভু আমাদের সবাইকে একত্র করবেন তারপর আমাদের মাঝে ফায়সালা করে দেবেন ন্যায়সংগতভাবে। তিনিই সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ ফায়সালাকারী, সর্বজ্ঞানী।’

Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم to polytheists and pagans): "Show me those whom you have joined with Him as partners. Nay (there are not at all any partners with Him)! But He is Allah (Alone), the All-Mighty, the All-Wise."

Say: Show me those whom ye have joined unto Him as partners. Nay (ye dare not)! For He is Allah, the Mighty, the Wise.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
বলো: ‘তোমরা যাদেরকে শরিক হিসেবে তাঁর সাথে জুড়ে দিয়েছো তাদের দেখাও তো আমাকে। না, কখনো নয় (তারা শরিক হতে পারে না), বরং একমাত্র আল্লাহ্ই মহাপরাক্রমশালী, মহাপ্রজ্ঞাবান।’

And We have not sent you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) except as a giver of glad tidings and a warner to all mankind, but most of men know not.

And We have not sent thee (O Muhammad) save as a bringer of good tidings and a warner unto all mankind; but most of mankind know not.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
আমরা তোমাকে রসূল বানিয়ে পাঠিয়েছি সমগ্র মানবজাতির জন্যে সুসংবাদদাতা ও সতর্ককারী হিসেবে। কিন্তু অধিকাংশ মানুষই এলেম রাখেনা।

And they say: "When is this promise (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) if you are truthful?"

And they say: When is this promise (to be fulfilled) if ye are truthful ?

তারা জিজ্ঞাসা করে: ‘তোমরা যদি সত্যবাদী হও, তবে বলো, এই ওয়াদা কখন বাস্তবায়িত হবে?’

Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "The appointment to you is for a Day, which you cannot put back for an hour (or a moment) nor put forward."

Say (O Muhammad): Yours is the promise of a Day which ye cannot postpone nor hasten by an hour.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তুমি বলো: ‘তোমাদের জন্যে রয়েছে একটি নির্ধারিত দিন, যা তোমরা মুহূর্তকালও না পিছিয়ে নিতে পারবে, আর না এগিয়ে আনতে পারবে।’

And those who disbelieve say: "We believe not in this Qur'an nor in that which was before it." But if you could see when the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers) will be made to stand before their Lord, how they will cast the (blaming) word one to another! Those who were deemed weak will say to those who were arrogant: "Had it not been for you, we should certainly have been believers!"

And those who disbelieve say: We believe not in this Qur'an nor in that which was before it; but oh, if thou couldst see, when the wrong - doers are brought up before their Lord, how they cast the blame one to another; how those who were despised (in the earth) say unto those who were proud: But for you, we should have been believers.

কাফিররা বলে: ‘আমরা কখনো এই কুরআনের প্রতি ঈমান আনবো না, এর আগের কিতাবসমূহের প্রতিও ঈমান আনবো না।’ হায়, তোমরা যদি দেখতে, এই যালিমদের যখন তাদের প্রভুর সামনে দাঁড় করানো হবে, তখন তারা পরস্পর বাদ - প্রতিবাদ করতে থাকবে। যাদেরকে (পৃথিবীতে) দুর্বল করে রাখা হয়েছিল, তারা ক্ষমতাদর্পীদের বলবে: ‘তোমরা না থাকলে আমরা অবশ্যি হতাম।’

And those who were arrogant will say to those who were deemed weak: "Did we keep you back from guidance after it had come to you? Nay, but you were Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, disbelievers, criminals)."
Pickthall
Those who were proud say unto those who were despised: Did we drive you away from the guidance after it had come unto you ? Nay, but ye were guilty.

দাম্ভিক ক্ষমতাদর্পীরা দুর্বল করে রাখাদের বলবে: ‘তোমাদের কাছে হিদায়াত সুস্পষ্টভাবে এসে যাওয়ার পরও কি আমরাই তোমাদেরকে তা থেকে বাধা দিয়েছিলাম? বরং তোমরা নিজেরাই ছিলে অপরাধী।’

Those who were deemed weak will say to those who were arrogant: "Nay, but it was your plotting by night and day: when you ordered us to disbelieve in Allah and set up rivals to Him!" And each of them (parties) will conceal their own regrets (for disobeying Allah during this worldly life), when they behold the torment. And We shall put iron collars round the necks of those who disbelieved. Are they requited aught except what they used to do?

Those who were despised say unto those who were proud: Nay but (it was your) scheming night and day, when ye commanded us to disbelieve in Allah and set up rivals unto Him. And they are filled with remorse when they behold the doom; and We place carcans on the necks of those who disbelieved. Are they requited aught save what they used to do ?

দুর্বল করে রাখা লোকেরা ক্ষমতাদর্পীদের বলবে: ‘তোমরাই তো দিনরাত ষড়যন্ত্রে লিপ্ত ছিলে, আমাদের নির্দেশ দিয়েছিলে যেনো আমরা আল্লাহর প্রতি কুফুরি করি এবং তাঁর সাথে শরিক করি।’ যখন তারা আযাব দেখতে পাবে, তখন তারা লজ্জা ও অনুতাপ গোপন করবে এবং আমরা কাফিরদের গলায় শিকল পরিয়ে দেবো। তারা যেসব কর্মকান্ডে লিপ্ত ছিলো, তাদেরকে তারই প্রতিফল দেয়া হবে মাত্র।

And We did not send a warner to a township but those who were given the worldly wealth and luxuries among them said: "We believe not in the (Message) with which you have been sent."

And We sent not unto any township a warner, but its pampered ones declared: Lo! we are disbelievers in that wherewith ye have been sent.

আমরা যখনই কোনো জনপদে সতর্ককারী পাঠিয়েছি, তখনই সেখানকার সম্পদশালী সীমালংঘনকারীরা বলেছে: ‘তোমরা যা নিয়ে প্রেরিত হয়েছো, তা আমরা অস্বীকার করছি।’

And they say: "We are more in wealth and in children, and we are not going to be punished."

And they say: We are more (than you) in wealth and children. We are not the punished!

তারা আরো বলেছে: ‘ধনে জনে আমরা সমৃদ্ধশালী, আমাদের প্রতি কিছুতেই আযাব আসতে পারবে না।’

Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "Verily, my Lord enlarges the provision to whom He wills and restricts, but most men know not."
Pickthall
Say (O Muhammad): Lo! my Lord enlargeth the provision for whom He will and narroweth it (for whom He will). But most of mankind know not.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
বলো: ‘নিশ্চয়ই আমার প্রভু যাকে ইচ্ছা রিযিক বাড়িয়ে দেন এবং যাকে ইচ্ছা করে দেন সীমিত। তবে অধিকাংশ মানুষই তা জানেনা।’

And it is not your wealth, nor your children that bring you nearer to Us (i.e. please Allah), but only he who believes (in the Islamic Monotheism), and does righteous deeds (will please Us); as for such, there will be twofold reward for what they did, and they will reside in the high dwellings (Paradise) in peace and security.

And it is not your wealth nor your children that will bring you near unto Us, but he who believeth and doeth good (he draweth near). As for such, theirs will be twofold reward for what they did and they will dwell secure in lofty halls.

তোমাদের ধনমাল এবং সন্তান - সন্ততি এমন জিনিস নয় যা তোমাদেরকে আমাদের নিকটবর্তী করে দেবে। তবে যারা ঈমান আনে এবং আমলে সালেহ্ করে, তারাই তাদের আমলের জন্যে পাবে বহুগুণ বেশি পুরস্কার। তারা প্রাসাদসমূহের মধ্যে থাকবে সদা নিরাপদ।

And those who strive against Our Ayat (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), to frustrate them, they will be brought to the torment.

And as for those who strive against Our revelations, challenging, they will be brought to the doom.

যারা আমাদের আয়াতকে ব্যর্থ করার চেষ্টা করবে, তারাই সদা উপস্থিত থাকবে আযাবের মধ্যে।

Say: "Truly, my Lord enlarges the provision for whom He wills of His slaves, and (also) restricts (it) for him, and whatsoever you spend of anything (in Allah's Cause), He will replace it. And He is the Best of providers."

Say: Lo! my Lord enlargeth the provision for whom He will of His bondmen, and narroweth (it) for him. And whatsoever ye spend (for good) He replaceth it. And He is the Best of Providers.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
বলো: ‘আমার প্রভু তার বান্দাদের যাকে ইচ্ছা রিযিক বাড়িয়ে দেন এবং যাকে ইচ্ছা করে দেন সীমিত। তোমরা আল্লাহর পথে যা কিছু ব্যয় করবে, তার প্রতিদান দেবেন। তিনিই সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ রিযিকদাতা।’

And (remember) the Day when He will gather them all together, then He will say to the angels: "Was it you that these people used to worship?"

And on the day when He will gather them all together, He will say unto the angels: Did these worship you ?

যেদিন তিনি তাদের সবাইকে হাশর করবেন, তারপর ফেরেশতাদের বলবেন: ‘এরা কি তোমাদের ইবাদত করতো?’

They (the angels) will say: "Glorified be You! You are our Wali (Lord) instead of them. Nay, but they used to worship the jinn; most of them were believers in them."

They will say: Be Thou Glorified. Thou (alone) art our Guardian, not them! Nay, but they worshipped the jinn; most of them were believers in them.

তারা বলবে: ‘তুমি পবিত্র ও মহান, ওরা নয়, তুমিই আমাদের প্রভু, বরং তারা ইবাদত করতো জিনদের (শয়তানদের)। তাদের অধিকাংশই তাদের প্রতি ঈমান রাখতো।’

So Today (i.e. the Day of Resurrection), none of you can profit or harm one another. And We shall say to those who did wrong [i.e. worshipped others (like the angels, jinn, prophets, saints, righteous persons) along with Allah]: "Taste the torment of the Fire which you used to belie.

That day ye will possess no use nor hurt one for another. And We shall say unto those who did wrong: Taste the doom of the Fire which ye used to deny.

ফলে আজ তোমাদের একের ক্ষমতা নেই অপরের লাভ কিংবা ক্ষতি করার। আমরা যালিমদের বলবো: ‘আগুনের আযাবের স্বাদ গ্রহণ করো, যে আযাবকে তোমরা অস্বীকার করতে।

And when Our Clear Verses are recited to them, they say: "This (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) is naught but a man who wishes to hinder you from that which your fathers used to worship." And they say: "This (the Qur'an) is nothing but an invented lie." And those who disbelieve say of the truth when it has come to them (i.e. Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم when Allah sent him as a Messenger with proofs, evidence, verses of this Qur'an, lessons, signs, etc.): "This is nothing but evident magic!"

And if Our revelations are recited unto them in plain terms, they say: This is naught else than a man who would turn you away from what your fathers used to worship; and they say: This is naught else than an invented lie. Those who disbelieve say of the truth when it reacheth them: This is naught else than mere magic.

যখন তাদের প্রতি আমাদের সুস্পষ্ট আয়াত তিলাওয়াত করা হতো তারা বলতো: ‘তোমাদের পূর্ব পুরুষরা যাদের ইবাদত করতো এ ব্যক্তি তো তাদের ইবাদত থেকে তোমাদের বাধা দিতে চায়।’ তারা আরো বলতো: ‘এ তো এক মিথ্যা রচনা ছাড়া আর কিছুই নয়।’ কাফিররা সত্য আসার পর সত্য সম্পর্কে আরো বলতো: ‘এ তো এক সুস্পষ্ট ম্যাজিক।’

And We had not given them Scriptures which they could study, nor sent to them before you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) any warner (Messenger).

And We have given them no scriptures which they study, nor sent We unto them, before thee, any warner.

আমরা তাদেরকে পূর্বে কোনো কিতাব দিইনি যা তারা পড়তো এবং তোমার আগে তাদের কাছে আমরা কোনো সতর্ককারীও পাঠাইনি।

And those before them belied; these have not received even a tenth of what We had granted to those (of old); yet they belied My Messengers. Then how (terrible) was My denial (punishment)!

Those before them denied, and these have not attained a tithe of that which We bestowed on them (of old); yet they denied My messengers. How intense then was My abhorrence (of them)!
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তাদের আগেকার লোকেরাও অস্বীকার করেছিল। আমরা তাদেরকে যা দিয়েছিলাম এরা তার এক দশমাংশও পায়নি। তা সত্ত্বেও তারা আমার রসূলদের প্রত্যাখ্যান করেছিল। ফলে কতো যে ভয়াবহ হয়েছিল আমার শাস্তি!

Say (to them O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "I exhort you to one (thing) only: that you stand up for Allah's sake in pairs and singly, and reflect (within yourselves the life history of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم): there is no madness in your companion (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم). He is only a warner to you in face of a severe torment."

Say (unto them, O Muhammad): I exhort you unto one thing only: that ye awake, for Allah's sake, by twos and singly, and then reflect: There is no madness in your comrade. He is naught else than a warner unto you in face of a terrific doom.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
বলো, আমি তোমাদের একটি বিষয়ে উপদেশ দিচ্ছি তাহলো: তোমরা আল্লাহর উদ্দেশ্যে দাঁড়াও দুইজন এবং একজন করে, তারপর তোমরা চিন্তা করে দেখো, তোমাদের সাথি মোটেও জিনে ধরা ব্যক্তি নয়। সে তো কেবল তোমাদের জন্যে একজন সতর্ককারী আসন্ন কঠিন আযাব সম্পর্কে।

Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "Whatever wage I might have asked of you is yours. My wage is from Allah only, and He is a Witness over all things."
Pickthall
Say: Whatever reward I might have asked of you is yours. My reward is the affair of Allah only. He is Witness over all things.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
বলো: ‘আমি তো তোমাদের কাছে কোনো পারিশ্রমিক চেয়ে থাকলে তা তোমাদেরই। আমার পুরস্কার তো রয়েছে আল্লাহর কাছে। তিনি প্রতিটি বিষয়ের সাক্ষী।’

Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "Verily my Lord sends down (Revelation and makes apparent) the truth (i.e. this Revelation that had come to me), the All-Knower of the Ghaib (Unseen).

Say: Lo! my Lord hurleth the truth. (He is) the Knower of Things Hidden.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
বলো: ‘আমার প্রভু সত্য দিয়ে (অসত্যকে) আঘাত করেন। তিনি গায়েবের আল্লামা (মহাজ্ঞানী)।’

Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "Al-Haqq (the truth i.e. the Qur'an and Allah's Revelation) has come, and Al-Batil [falsehood - Iblis (Satan)] can neither create anything nor resurrect (anything)."

Say: The Truth hath come, and falsehood showeth not its face and will not return.

বলো: ‘সত্য এসেছে, আর অসত্য নতুন সৃষ্টি করতেও পারে না এবং তা পুনসৃষ্টিও করতে পারে না।’

Say: "If (even) I go astray, I shall stray only to my own loss. But if I remain guided, it is because of the Revelation of my Lord to me. Truly, He is All-Hearer, Ever Near (to all things)."

Say: If I err, I err only to my own loss, and if I am rightly guided it is because of that which my Lord hath revealed unto me. Lo! He is Hearer, Nigh.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
বলো: ‘আমি যদি পথভ্রষ্ট হয়েই থাকি, তবে সেটার পরিণতি আমাকেই ভোগ করতে হবে। আর আমি যদি সঠিক পথে থেকে থাকি, তবে তার কারণ, আমার প্রভু আমার প্রতি অহি করেন। তিনি সর্বশ্রোতা, নিকটবর্তী।’

And if you could but see, when they will be terrified with no escape (for them), and they will be seized from a near place.

Couldst thou but see when they are terrified with no escape, and are seized from near at hand,

তুমি যদি দেখতে, যখন তারা ভীত সন্ত্রস্ত হয়ে পড়বে, তখন তারা অব্যাহতি পাবে না এবং খুব কাছে থেকেই তাদের ধরা হবে।

And they will say (in the Hereafter): "We do believe (now):" but how could they receive (Faith and the acceptance of their repentance by Allah) from a place so far off (i.e. to return to the worldly life again).

And say: We (now) believe therein. But how can they reach (faith) from afar off,

তখন তারা বলবে: ‘আমরা সেটার (পরকালের) প্রতি ঈমান আনলাম’, কিন্তু এখন আর নাগালের বাইরে চলে যাওয়া জিনিসের নাগাল পাবে কিভাবে?

Indeed they did disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allah, Islam, the Qur'an and Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) before (in this world), and they (used to) conjecture about the Unseen [i.e. the Hereafter, Hell, Paradise, Resurrection and the Promise of Allah (by saying) all that is untrue], from a far place.

When they disbelieved in it of yore. They aim at the unseen from afar off.

ইতোপূর্বে (পৃথিবীতে) তো তারা সেটার প্রতি কুফুরি করেছিল এবং আন্দাজে অনেক দূর থেকে কথা বানিয়ে আনতো।

And a barrier will be set between them and that which they desire [i.e. At-Taubah (turning to Allah in repentance) and the accepting of Faith], as was done in the past with the people of their kind. Verily, they have been in grave doubt.

And a gulf is set between them and that which they desire, as was done for people of their kind of old. Lo! they were in hopeless doubt.

তাদের এবং তাদের চাওয়ার মধ্যে অন্তরায় সৃষ্টি করে দেয়া হয়েছে, যেমন ইতোপূর্বে করা হয়েছিল তাদের সমপন্থীদের ক্ষেত্রে। তারা ছিলো বিভ্রান্তিকর সন্দেহের মধ্যে।
