Hilali & Muhsin Khan

1 In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. By the (steeds) that run, with panting.

Shakir

1 I swear by the runners breathing pantingly,

Hilali & Muhsin Khan

2 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves).

Shakir

2 Then those that produce fire striking,

Hilali & Muhsin Khan

3 And scouring to the raid at dawn.

Shakir

3 Then those that make raids at morn,

Hilali & Muhsin Khan

4 And raise the dust in clouds the while.

Shakir

4 Then thereby raise dust,

Hilali & Muhsin Khan

5 And penetrating forthwith as one into the midst (of the foe).

Shakir

5 Then rush thereby upon an assembly:

Hilali & Muhsin Khan

6 Verily, man (disbeliever) is ungrateful to his Lord.

Shakir

6 Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord.

Hilali & Muhsin Khan

7 And to that he bears witness (by his deeds).

Shakir

7 And most surely he is a witness of that.

Hilali & Muhsin Khan

8 And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth.

Shakir

8 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth.

Hilali & Muhsin Khan

9 Knows he not that when the contents of the graves are poured forth (all mankind is resurrected)?

Shakir

9 Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised,

Hilali & Muhsin Khan

10 And that which is in the breasts (of men) is made known?

Shakir

10 And what is in the breasts is made apparent?

Hilali & Muhsin Khan

11 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds and will reward them for their deeds).

Shakir

11 Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them.
