Chapter 51, 60 verses
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. By (the winds) that scatter dust.
বিসমিল্লাহির রাহমা-নির রাহি-ম অয্যা-রিয়া-তি র্যাওয়ান্।
وَٱلذَّٰرِيَٰتِ ذَرْوًا
And (the clouds) that bear heavy weight of water.
ফাল্হা-মিলা-তি ওয়িকরন্।
فَٱلْحَٰمِلَٰتِ وِقْرًا
And (the ships) that float with ease and gentleness.
ফাল্জ্বা-রিয়া-তি ইয়ুস্রন্।
فَٱلْجَٰرِيَٰتِ يُسْرًا
And those (angels) who distribute (provisions, rain, and other blessings) by (Allah's) Command.
ফাল্ মুক্বাস্সিমা-তি আম্রান্।
فَٱلْمُقَسِّمَٰتِ أَمْرًا
Verily, that which you are promised (i.e. Resurrection in the Hereafter and receiving the reward or punishment of good or bad deeds) is surely true.
ইন্নামা-তূআদূনা লাছোয়া-দিক্ব।
إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَصَادِقٌ
And verily, the Recompense is sure to happen.
অ ইন্নাদ্দীনা লাওয়া-ক্বিউ'ন্।
وَإِنَّ ٱلدِّينَ لَوَٰقِعٌ
By the heaven full of paths,
অস্সামা - য়ি যা-তিল্ হুবুকি।
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلْحُبُكِ
Certainly, you have different ideas (about Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم and the Qur'an).
ইন্নাকুম্ লাফী ক্বওলিম্ মুখ্তালিফিঁ।
إِنَّكُمْ لَفِى قَوْلٍ مُّخْتَلِفٍ
Turned aside therefrom (i.e. from Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم and the Qur'an) is he who is turned aside (by the Decree and Preordainment القضاء والقدر of Allah).
ইয়ুফাকু 'আন্হু মান্ উফিক্।
يُؤْفَكُ عَنْهُ مَنْ أُفِكَ
Cursed be the liars
কুতিলাল্ র্খরা-ছূনা।
قُتِلَ ٱلْخَرَّٰصُونَ
Who are under a cover of heedlessness (think not about the gravity of the Hereafter),
অল্লাযীনা হুম্ ফী গম্রাতিন্ সা-হূনা।
ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ فِى غَمْرَةٍ سَاهُونَ
They ask: "When will be the Day of Recompense?"
ইয়াস্য়ালূনা আইয়্যা-না ইয়াওমুদ্দীন্ ।
يَسْـَٔلُونَ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ
(It will be) a Day when they will be tried (punished i.e. burnt) over the Fire!
ইয়াওমা হুম্ 'আলান্না-রি ইয়ুফ্তানূ ন্।
يَوْمَ هُمْ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ يُفْتَنُونَ
"Taste you your trial (punishment i.e. burning)! This is what you used to ask to be hastened!"
যূকু ফিত্নাতাকুম্ হা-যাল্লাযী কুন্তুম্ বিহী তাস্তা'জ্বিলূন্।
ذُوقُوا۟ فِتْنَتَكُمْ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ
Verily, the Muttaqun (the pious. See V.2:2) will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs (in the Paradise),
ইন্নাল্ মুত্তাক্বীনা ফী জ্বান্না- তিঁও ওয়াউ'ইয়ূনিন্।
إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى جَنَّٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
Taking joy in the things which their Lord has given them. Verily, they were before this Muhsinun (good-doers. See V.2:112).
আ-খিযীনা মা য় আ-তা-হুম্ রব্বুহুম্ ইন্নাহুম্ কা-নূ ক্বব্লা যা-লিকা মুহ্সিনীন্।
ءَاخِذِينَ مَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَبْلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُحْسِنِينَ
They used to sleep but little by night [invoking their Lord (Allah) and praying, with fear and hope].
কা-নূ ক্বলীলাম্ মিনাল্ লাইলি মা-ইয়াহ্জ্বা'ঊন্।
كَانُوا۟ قَلِيلًا مِّنَ ٱلَّيْلِ مَا يَهْجَعُونَ
And in the hours before dawn, they were (found) asking (Allah) for forgiveness.
অবিল্ আস্হা-রি হুম্ ইয়াস্ তাগ্ফিরূন্।
وَبِٱلْأَسْحَارِ هُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ
And in their properties there was the right of the Sa'il (the beggar who asks) and the Mahrum (the poor who does not ask others) .
অফী য় আম্ওয়া-লিহিম্ হাককুল্ লিস্সা - য়িলি অল্ মাহ্রূম্।
وَفِىٓ أَمْوَٰلِهِمْ حَقٌّ لِّلسَّآئِلِ وَٱلْمَحْرُومِ
And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty.
অফিল্ র্আদ্বি আ-ইয়া-তু ল্লিল্ মূ ক্বিনীন।
وَفِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ءَايَٰتٌ لِّلْمُوقِنِينَ
And also in your ownselves. Will you not then see?
অফী য় আন্ফুসিকুম্ আফালা-তুব্সিরূন্।
وَفِىٓ أَنفُسِكُمْ أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ
And in the heaven is your provision, and that which you are promised.
অ ফিস্ সামা - য়ি রিয্ক্বুকুম্ অমা-তূ'আদূন্ ।
وَفِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ رِزْقُكُمْ وَمَا تُوعَدُونَ
Then by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is the truth (i.e. what has been promised to you), just as it is the truth that you can speak.
ফা ওয়া রব্বিস্ সামা - য়ি অল্ র্আদ্বি ইন্নাহূ লাহাককুম্ মিছ্লা মা য় আন্নাকুম্ তান্ত্বিকুন্ ।
فَوَرَبِّ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ إِنَّهُۥ لَحَقٌّ مِّثْلَ مَآ أَنَّكُمْ تَنطِقُونَ
Has the story reached you, of the honoured guests [three angels; Jibril (Gabriel) along with another two] of Ibrahim (Abraham)?
হাল্ আতা-কা হাদীছু দ্বোয়াইফি ইব্রা-হীমাল্ মুক্রমীন্।
هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ضَيْفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ ٱلْمُكْرَمِينَ
When they came in to him and said: "Salam, (peace be upon you)!" He answered: "Salam, (peace be upon you)," and said: "You are a people unknown to me."
ইয্ দাখালূ 'আলাইহি ফাক্ব-লূ সালা-মা- ক্ব-লা সালা-মুন্ ক্বওমুম্ মুন্কারূন্।
إِذْ دَخَلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا۟ سَلَٰمًا قَالَ سَلَٰمٌ قَوْمٌ مُّنكَرُونَ
Then he turned to his household, and brought out a roasted calf [as the property of Ibrahim (Abraham) was mainly cows].
ফার-গা ইলা য় আহ্লিহী ফাজ্বা - য়া বি'ইজ্ব্ লিন্ সামীনিন্।
فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ فَجَآءَ بِعِجْلٍ سَمِينٍ
And placed it before them, (saying): "Will you not eat?"
ফার্ক্বারবাহূ য় ইলাইহিম্ ক্ব-লা আলা-তাকুলূন্।
فَقَرَّبَهُۥٓ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ
Then he conceived fear of them (when they ate not). They said: "Fear not." And they gave him glad tidings of a son having knowledge (about Allah and His religion of True Monotheism).
ফাআওজ্বাছা মিন্হুম্ খীফাহ্ ক্ব-লূ লা-তাখফ্ অবাশ্শারূহু বিগুলা-মিন্ 'আলীম্।
فَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةً قَالُوا۟ لَا تَخَفْ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلَٰمٍ عَلِيمٍ
Then his wife came forward with a loud voice: she smote her face, and said: "A barren old woman!"
ফাআকবালাতিম্ রায়াতুহূ ফী ছোর্য়ারতিন্ ফাছোয়াক্কাত্ অজ্ব হাহা-ওয়া ক্বা-লাত্ 'আজ্বু যুন্ 'আক্বীম্।
فَأَقْبَلَتِ ٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ فِى صَرَّةٍ فَصَكَّتْ وَجْهَهَا وَقَالَتْ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيمٌ
They said: "Even so says your Lord. Verily, He is the All-Wise, the All-Knower."
ক্ব-লূ কাযা-লিকি ক্ব-লা রব্বুক্ ইন্নাহূ হুওয়াল্ হাকীমুল্ 'আলীম্। মুজ্ব রিমীন্।
قَالُوا۟ كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ
[Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Then for what purpose you have come, O Messengers?"
কলা ফামা হাতুবকুম আইয়ূহাল মুরসালুন
قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ أَيُّهَا ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ
They said: "We have been sent to a people who are Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, disbelievers in Allah)
কলু ইন্না আরসালনা ইলা কাউমিম মুজরিমিন
قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّآ أُرْسِلْنَآ إِلَىٰ قَوْمٍ مُّجْرِمِينَ
To send down upon them stones of baked clay.
লির্নুসিলা 'আলাইহিম্ হিজ্বা-রতাম্ মিন্ ত্বীন্।
لِنُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِّن طِينٍ
Marked by your Lord for the Musrifun (polytheists, criminals, sinners - those who trespass Allah's set limits in evil-doings by committing great sins).
মুসাওয়ামাতান্ 'ইন্দা রব্বিকা লিল্মুস্রিফীন্।
مُّسَوَّمَةً عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ
So We brought out from therein the believers.
ফাআখ্রাজ্ব না-মান্ কা-না ফীহা-মিনাল্ মুমিনীন্।
فَأَخْرَجْنَا مَن كَانَ فِيهَا مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
But We found not there any household of the Muslims except one [of Lut (Lot) and his two daughters].
ফামা-অজ্বাদ্না-ফীহা-গইরা বাইতিম্ মিনাল্ মুস্লিমীন্।
فَمَا وَجَدْنَا فِيهَا غَيْرَ بَيْتٍ مِّنَ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ
And We have left there a sign (i.e. the place of the Dead Sea in Palestine) for those who fear the painful torment.
অতারক্না-ফীহা য় আ-ইয়াতাল্ লিল্লাযীনা ইয়াখ-ফূনাল্ 'আযা-বাল্ আলীম্।
وَتَرَكْنَا فِيهَآ ءَايَةً لِّلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَلِيمَ
And in Musa (Moses) (too, there is a sign), when We sent him to Fir'aun (Pharaoh) with a manifest authority.
অফী মূসা য় ইয্ র্আসাল্না-হু ইলা-র্ফি'আউনা বিসুল্ত্বোয়া-নিম্ মুবীন্।
وَفِى مُوسَىٰٓ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَٰهُ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ بِسُلْطَٰنٍ مُّبِينٍ
But [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] turned away (from Belief in might) along with his hosts, and said: "A sorcerer, or a madman."
ফাতাওয়াল্লা বিরুক্নিহী অক্ব-লা সা-হিরুন্ আও মাজ্ব নূন্।
فَتَوَلَّىٰ بِرُكْنِهِۦ وَقَالَ سَٰحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ
So We took him and his hosts, and dumped them into the sea, for he was blameworthy.
ফাআখায্না-হু অজ্বুনূদাহূ ফানাবায্না-হুম্ ফিল্ ইয়াম্মি অহুওয়া মুলীম্।
فَأَخَذْنَٰهُ وَجُنُودَهُۥ فَنَبَذْنَٰهُمْ فِى ٱلْيَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌ
And in 'Ad (there is also a sign) when We sent against them the barren wind;
অফী 'আ-দিন্ ইয্ র্আসাল্না- 'আলাইহিমরি রীহাল্ 'আক্বীম্।
وَفِى عَادٍ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلرِّيحَ ٱلْعَقِيمَ
It spared nothing that it reached, but blew it into broken spreads of rotten ruins.
মা-তাযারু মিন্ শাইয়িন্ আতাত্ 'আলাইহি ইল্লা-জ্বা'আলাত্হু র্কারমীম্।
مَا تَذَرُ مِن شَىْءٍ أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا جَعَلَتْهُ كَٱلرَّمِيمِ
And in Thamud (there is also a sign), when they were told: "Enjoy yourselves for a while!"
অফী ছামূদা ইয্ ক্বীলা লাহুম্ তামাত্তাঊ' হাত্তা-হীন্।
وَفِى ثَمُودَ إِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَمَتَّعُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ
But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord, so the Sa'iqah overtook them while they were looking.
ফা'আতাও 'আন্ আম্রি রব্বিহিম্ ফাআখযাত্ হুমুছ্ ছোয়া-'ইক্বতু অহুম্ ইয়ান্জুরূন্।
فَعَتَوْا۟ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ ٱلصَّٰعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ
Then they were unable to rise up, nor could they help themselves.
ফামাস্ তাত্বোয়া-'ঊ মিন্ ক্বিয়া-মিঁও অমা-কা-নূ মুন্তাছিরীন্।
فَمَا ٱسْتَطَٰعُوا۟ مِن قِيَامٍ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ مُنتَصِرِينَ
(So were) the people of Nuh (Noah) before them. Verily, they were a people who were Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah).
অক্বওমা নূহিম্ মিন্ ক্বব্ল্ ইন্নাহুম্ ক্বা-নূ ক্বওমান্ ফা-সিক্বীন্।
وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِّن قَبْلُ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمًا فَٰسِقِينَ
With power did We construct the heaven. Verily, We are Able to extend the vastness of space thereof.
অস্সামা - য়া বানাইনা-হা- বিআইদিঁও অইন্না লামূসি'ঊন্।
وَٱلسَّمَآءَ بَنَيْنَٰهَا بِأَيْي۟دٍ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ
And We have spread out the earth: how Excellent Spreader (thereof) are We!
অল্র্আদ্বোয়া ফারশ্না-হা- ফানি'মাল্ মা-হিদূন্।
وَٱلْأَرْضَ فَرَشْنَٰهَا فَنِعْمَ ٱلْمَٰهِدُونَ
And of everything We have created pairs, that you may remember (the Grace of Allah).
অমিন্ কুল্লি শাইয়িন্ খলাকনা-যাওজ্বাইনি লা'আল্লাকুম্ তাযাক্কারূন্।
وَمِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَيْنِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ
So flee to Allah (from His Torment to His Mercy - Islamic Monotheism). Verily, I (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) am a plain warner to you from Him.
ফার্ফিরূ য় ইলাল্লা-হ্ ইন্নী লাকুম্ মিন্হু নাযীরুম্ মুবীন্।
فَفِرُّوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ إِنِّى لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ
And set not up (or worship not) any other ilah (god) along with Allah [Glorified be He (Alone), Exalted above all that they associate as partners with Him]. Verily, I (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) am a plain warner to you from Him.
অলা- তাজ্ব 'আলূ মা'আল্লা-হি ইলা-হান্ আ-র্খ ইন্নী লাকুম্ মিন্হু নাযীরুম্ মুবীন্।
وَلَا تَجْعَلُوا۟ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ إِنِّى لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ
Likewise, no Messenger came to those before them but they said: "A sorcerer or a madman!"
কাযা-লিকা মা য় আতাল্ লাযীনা মিন্ ক্বব্লিহিম্ র্মি রসূলিন্ ইল্লা-ক্ব-লূ সা-হিরুন্ আও মাজ্বনূন্।
كَذَٰلِكَ مَآ أَتَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا قَالُوا۟ سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ
Have they (the people of the past) transmitted this saying to these (Quraish pagans)? Nay, they are themselves a people transgressing beyond bounds (in disbelief)!
আতাওয়া ছোয়াও বিহী বাল্ হুম্ ক্বওমুন্ ত্বোয়া-গূন্।
أَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِهِۦ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ
So turn away (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) from them (Quraish pagans), you are not blame-worthy (as you have conveyed Allah's Message).
ফাতাওয়াল্লা 'আনহুম্ ফামা য় আন্তা বিমালূম্।
فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَمَآ أَنتَ بِمَلُومٍ
And remind (by preaching the Qur'an, O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), for verily, the reminding profits the believers.
অযার্ক্কি ফাইন্নায্ যিক্রা তান্ফা'উল্ মু”মিনীন্।
وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ تَنفَعُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
And I (Allah) created not the jinn and mankind except that they should worship Me (Alone).
অমা-খলাকতুল্ জ্বিন্না অল্ ইন্সা ইল্লা-লিইয়া'বুদূন্।
وَمَا خَلَقْتُ ٱلْجِنَّ وَٱلْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ
I seek not any provision from them (i.e. provision for themselves or for My creatures) nor do I ask that they should feed Me (i.e. feed themselves or My creatures).
মা য় উরীদু মিন্হুম্ র্মি রিয্ক্বিঁও অমা য় উরীদু আইঁ ইয়ুত্ব্ 'ইমূন্।
مَآ أُرِيدُ مِنْهُم مِّن رِّزْقٍ وَمَآ أُرِيدُ أَن يُطْعِمُونِ
Verily, Allah is the All-Provider, Owner of Power, the Most Strong.
ইন্নাল্লা-হা হুওর্য়া রয্যা-কু যুল্ কুওয়্যাতিল্ মাতীন্।
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلرَّزَّاقُ ذُو ٱلْقُوَّةِ ٱلْمَتِينُ
And verily, for those who do wrong, there is a portion of torment like to the evil portion of torment (which came for) their likes (of old); so let them not ask Me to hasten on!
ফাইন্না লিল্লাযীনা জোয়ালামূ যানূবাম্ মিছ্লা যানূবি আছ্হা-বিহিম্ ফালা-ইয়াস্তা'জ্বিলূন্।
فَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ ذَنُوبًا مِّثْلَ ذَنُوبِ أَصْحَٰبِهِمْ فَلَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونِ
Then woe to those who disbelieve (in Allah and His Oneness - Islamic Monotheism) from their Day which they have been promised (for their punishment).
ফাওয়াইলুল লিল্লাযীনা কাফারূ মিঁই ইয়াওমিহিমুল্ লাযী ইয়ূ'আদূন্।
فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن يَوْمِهِمُ ٱلَّذِى يُوعَدُونَ
