Hilali & Muhsin Khan
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. By the forenoon (after sunrise).
Arabic, with marks
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ وَالضُّحَىٰ
Pickthall
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. By the morning hours
জহুরুল হক
ভাবো পূর্বাহ্নের সূর্যকিরণের কথা;

By the night when it darkens (and stand still).
Arabic, with marks
وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ
Pickthall
And by the night when it is stillest,
জহুরুল হক
আর রাত্রির কথা যখন তা অন্ধকার ছড়িয়ে দেয়।
Hilali & Muhsin Khan
Your Lord (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) has neither forsaken you nor hates you.
Arabic, with marks
مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ
Pickthall
Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee,
জহুরুল হক
তোমার প্রভু তোমাকে পরিত্যাগ করেন নি, এবং তিনি অসন্তষ্টও নন।
Hilali & Muhsin Khan
And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world).
Arabic, with marks
وَلَلْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَّكَ مِنَ الْأُولَىٰ
Pickthall
And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former,
জহুরুল হক
আর আলবৎ পরকাল তোমার জন্য হবে প্রাথমিককালের চেয়ে ভালো।
Hilali & Muhsin Khan
And verily, your Lord will give you (all good) so that you shall be well-pleased.
Arabic, with marks
وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰ
Pickthall
And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content.
জহুরুল হক
আর শীঘ্রই তো তোমার প্রভু তোমাকে দান করবেন, ফলে তুমি সন্তষ্ট হবে।
Hilali & Muhsin Khan
Did He not find you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) an orphan and gave you a refuge?
Arabic, with marks
أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًا فَآوَىٰ
Pickthall
Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee) ?
জহুরুল হক
তিনি কি তোমাকে এতীম অবস্থায় পান নি, তখন তিনি আশ্রয় দেন?
Hilali & Muhsin Khan
And He found you unaware (of the Qur'an, its laws, and Prophethood) and guided you?
Arabic, with marks
وَوَجَدَكَ ضَالًّا فَهَدَىٰ
Pickthall
Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee) ?

আর তিনি তোমাকে পান দিশাহারা, কাজেই তিনি পথনির্দেশ দেন।
Hilali & Muhsin Khan
And He found you poor and made you rich (self-sufficient with self-contentment)?
Arabic, with marks
وَوَجَدَكَ عَائِلًا فَأَغْنَىٰ
Pickthall
Did He not find thee destitute and enrich (thee) ?
জহুরুল হক
আর তিনি তোমাকে পান নিঃস্ব অবস্থায়, সেজন্য তিনি সমৃদ্ধ করেন।

Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression.
Arabic, with marks
فَأَمَّا الْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ
Pickthall
Therefor the orphan oppress not,
জহুরুল হক
সুতরাং এতীমের ক্ষেত্রে - - তুমি তবে রূঢ় হয়ো না।

And repulse not the beggar.
Arabic, with marks
وَأَمَّا السَّائِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ
Pickthall
Therefor the beggar drive not away,
জহুরুল হক
আর সাহায্যপ্রার্থীর ক্ষেত্রে - - তুমি তবে হাঁকিয়ে দিয়ো না।
Hilali & Muhsin Khan
And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (i.e. the Prophethood and all other Graces).

وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ
Pickthall
Therefor of the bounty of thy Lord be thy discourse.
জহুরুল হক
আর তোমার প্রভুর অনুগ্রহের ক্ষেত্রে - - তুমি তবে ঘোষণা করতে থাকো।
