Chapter 103, 3 verses
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. By Al-'Asr (the time).
সময়ের শপথ।
আল্লাহর নামে শুরু করছি, পরম করুণাময় পরম দয়ালু; সময়,
وَٱلْعَصْرِ
Verily, man is in loss,
অবশ্যি মানুষ রয়েছে নিশ্চিত ক্ষতির মধ্যে।
নিশ্চয়ই মানুষ ক্ষতির মধ্যে আছে,
إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ لَفِى خُسْرٍ
Except those who believe (in Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, and recommend one another to the truth [i.e. order one another to perform all kinds of good deeds (Al-Ma'ruf) which Allah has ordained, and abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds (Al-Munkar which Allah has forbidden], and recommend one another to patience (for the sufferings, harms, and injuries which one may encounter in Allah's Cause during preaching His religion of Islamic Monotheism or Jihad).
তবে তারা নয়, যারা ঈমান আনে, আমলে সালেহ্ করে, একে অপরকে সত্যের প্রতি অসিয়ত করে (উপদেশ দেয়) এবং (সত্যের উপর) ধৈর্যের সাথে অটল থাকার অসিয়ত করে।
তবে তারা নয়, যারা ঈমান আনে, সৎকাজ করে, এবং পরস্পরকে সত্যের উপদেশ দেয় ও ধৈর্যের উপদেশ দেয়।
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلصَّبْرِ
