Hilali & Muhsin Khan
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. O you who believe! Take not My enemies and your enemies (i.e. disbelievers and polytheists) as friends, showing affection towards them, while they have disbelieved in what has come to you of the truth (i.e. Islamic Monotheism, this Qur'an, and Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), and have driven out the Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) and yourselves (from your homeland) because you believe in Allah your Lord! If you have come forth to strive in My Cause and to seek My Good Pleasure, (then take not these disbelievers and polytheists as your friends). You show friendship to them in secret, while I am All-Aware of what you conceal and what you reveal. And whosoever of you (Muslims) does that, then indeed he has gone (far) astray from the Straight Path .
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
হে লোকেরা! তোমরা আমার শত্রু এবং তোমাদের শত্রুকে অলি (বন্ধু ও পৃষ্ঠপোষক) হিসেবে গ্রহণ করোনা। তোমরা কি তাদের কাছে বন্ধুত্বের বার্তা পাঠাচ্ছো? অথচ তোমাদের কাছে যে সত্য এসেছে তারা তার প্রতি কুফুরি করেছে। তোমরা তোমাদের প্রভু আল্লাহর প্রতি ঈমান এনেছো বলে তারা আল্লাহর রসূলকে এবং তোমাদেরকেও দেশ থেকে বের করে দিয়েছে। যদি তোমরা আমার পথে জিহাদে এবং আমার সন্তুষ্টি লাভের উদ্দেশ্যে বের হয়ে থাকো, তবে কেন তোমরা গোপনে তাদের সাথে বন্ধুতা করছো? তোমরা যা গোপন করো আর যা প্রকাশ করো, তা আমি জানি। তোমাদের যে কেউ এমন কাজ করে, সে তো সঠিক পথ থেকে বিচ্যুত হয়।
Saheeh International
O you who have believed, do not take My enemies and your enemies as allies, extending to them affection while they have disbelieved in what came to you of the truth, having driven out the Prophet and yourselves [only] because you believe in Allah, your Lord. If you have come out for jihad in My cause and seeking means to My approval, [take them not as friends]. You confide to them affection, but I am most knowing of what you have concealed and what you have declared. And whoever does it among you has certainly strayed from the soundness of the way.
Hilali & Muhsin Khan
Should they gain the upper hand over you, they would behave to you as enemies, and stretch forth their hands and their tongues against you with evil, and they desire that you should disbelieve.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তারা তোমাদের কাবু করতে পারলে তোমাদের শত্রু হয়ে যাবে এবং হাতে ও মুখে তোমাদের অনিষ্ট সাধন করবে। তারা তো কামনা করে তোমরাও যেনো কুফুরি করো।
Saheeh International
If they gain dominance over you, they would be to you as enemies and extend against you their hands and their tongues with evil, and they wish you would disbelieve.
Hilali & Muhsin Khan
Neither your relatives nor your children will benefit you on the Day of Resurrection (against Allah). He will judge between you. And Allah is the All-Seer of what you do.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
কিয়ামতের দিন তোমাদের আত্মীয় - স্বজন এবং সন্তান - সন্ততি তোমাদের কোনো কাজে আসবে না। তোমাদের মাঝে বিভক্তি সৃষ্টি করে দেবেন। তোমরা যা করো তার প্রতি দৃষ্টি রাখছেন।
Saheeh International
Never will your relatives or your children benefit you; the Day of Resurrection He will judge between you. And Allah, of what you do, is Seeing.

Indeed there has been an excellent example for you in Ibrahim (Abraham) and those with him, when they said to their people: "Verily, we are free from you and whatever you worship besides Allah: we have rejected you, and there has started between us and you hostility and hatred for ever until you believe in Allah Alone" - except the saying of Ibrahim (Abraham) to his father: "Verily, I will ask forgiveness (from Allah) for you, but I have no power to do anything for you before Allah. " Our Lord! In You (Alone) we put our trust, and to You (Alone) we turn in repentance, and to You (Alone) is (our) final Return.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তোমাদের জন্যে রয়েছে একটি উত্তম আদর্শ ইবরাহিম এবং তার সাথিদের মধ্যে। তারা তাদের কওমকে বলেছিল: ‘তোমাদের সাথে আমাদের কোনো সম্পর্ক নেই এবং তোমরা আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে যাদের ইবাদত (পূজা উপাসনা) করো তাদের সাথেও। আমরা তোমাদের অমান্য করছি। তোমাদের এবং আমাদের মাঝে শুরু হলো চিরন্তন শত্রুতা আর বিদ্বেষ যতোদিন না তোমরা এক আল্লাহর প্রতি ঈমান আনবে।’ তবে ব্যতিক্রম শুধু নিজের পিতার প্রতি ইবরাহিমের এই কথাটা: ‘আমি আপনার ব্যাপারে আল্লাহর কাছে ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা করে যাবো, তবে আপনার ব্যাপারে আমি আল্লাহর কাছে কোনো কিছু করার অধিকার রাখিনা।’ ‘‘আমাদের প্রভু! আমরা তোমার প্রতি তাওয়াক্কুল করলাম, আমরা তোমারই অভিমুখী হলাম এবং প্রত্যাবর্তন তো হবে তোমারই কাছে।
Saheeh International
There has already been for you an excellent pattern in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people, "Indeed, we are disassociated from you and from whatever you worship other than Allah. We have denied you, and there has appeared between us and you animosity and hatred forever until you believe in Allah alone" except for the saying of Abraham to his father, "I will surely ask forgiveness for you, but I have not [power to do] for you anything against Allah. Our Lord, upon You we have relied, and to You we have returned, and to You is the destination.
Hilali & Muhsin Khan
"Our Lord! Make us not a trial for the disbelievers, and forgive us, Our Lord! Verily, You, only You, are the All-Mighty, the All-Wise."
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
আমাদের প্রভু! তুমি আমাদেরকে কাফিরদের নিপীড়নের পাত্র বানিয়ো না। হে প্রভু! তুমি আমাদের ক্ষমা করে দাও। নিশ্চয়ই তুমি মহাশক্তিধর, মহাপ্রজ্ঞাবান।’’
Saheeh International
Our Lord, make us not [objects of] torment for the disbelievers and forgive us, our Lord. Indeed, it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise."
Hilali & Muhsin Khan
Certainly, there has been in them an excellent example for you to follow - for those who look forward to (the Meeting with) Allah and the Last Day. And whosoever turns away, then verily, Allah is Rich (Free of all needs), Worthy of all Praise.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তোমরা যারা আল্লাহর (সন্তুষ্টি) এবং পরকালের (সাফল্য) প্রত্যাশা করো, নিশ্চয়ই তাদের মধ্যে রয়েছে তোমাদের জন্যে উত্তম আদর্শ। কেউ যদি মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়, সে জেনে রাখুক, নিশ্চয়ই অভাবমুক্ত সপ্রশংসিত।
Saheeh International
There has certainly been for you in them an excellent pattern for anyone whose hope is in Allah and the Last Day. And whoever turns away - then indeed, Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy.
Hilali & Muhsin Khan
Perhaps Allah will make friendship between you and those whom you hold as enemies. And Allah has power (over all things), and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
যাদের সাথে তোমাদের শত্রুতা রয়েছে, হয়তো তাদের ও তোমাদের মাঝে বন্ধুতা সৃষ্টি করে দেবেন। সর্বশক্তিমান। পরম ক্ষমাশীল, পরম দয়াবান।
Saheeh International
Perhaps Allah will put, between you and those to whom you have been enemies among them, affection. And Allah is competent, and Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
Hilali & Muhsin Khan
Allah does not forbid you to deal justly and kindly with those who fought not against you on account of religion nor drove you out of your homes. Verily, Allah loves those who deal with equity.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
দীনের ব্যাপারে যারা তোমাদের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করেনি এবং তোমাদের ঘরবাড়ি থেকে বের করে দেয়নি, তাদের প্রতি সহানুভূতি দেখাতে এবং ন্যায়বিচার করতে তোমাদের নিষেধ করেননা। নিশ্চয়ই সুবিচারকারীদের ভালোবাসেন।
Saheeh International
Allah does not forbid you from those who do not fight you because of religion and do not expel you from your homes - from being righteous toward them and acting justly toward them. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly.
Hilali & Muhsin Khan
It is only as regards those who fought against you on account of religion, and have driven you out of your homes, and helped to drive you out, that Allah forbids you to befriend them. And whosoever will befriend them, then such are the Zalimun (wrong-doers - those who disobey Allah).
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তো কেবল তাদের সাথে বন্ধুতা করতেই নিষেধ করেন, যারা দীনের কারণে তোমাদের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করেছে, তোমাদেরকে তোমাদের ঘরবাড়ি থেকে বের করে দিয়েছে এবং তোমাদের বের করে দিতে সাহায্য করেছে। যারা তাদের সাথে বন্ধুতা করে তারা যালিম।
Saheeh International
Allah only forbids you from those who fight you because of religion and expel you from your homes and aid in your expulsion - [forbids] that you make allies of them. And whoever makes allies of them, then it is those who are the wrongdoers.

O you who believe! When believing women come to you as emigrants, examine them; Allah knows best as to their Faith, then if you ascertain that they are true believers send them not back to the disbelievers. They are not lawful (wives) for the disbelievers nor are the disbelievers lawful (husbands) for them. But give them (the disbelievers) that (amount of money) which they have spent [as their Mahr] to them. And there will be no sin on you to marry them if you have paid their Mahr to them. Likewise hold not the disbelieving women as wives, and ask for (the return of) that which you have spent (as Mahr ) and let them (the disbelievers) ask back for that which they have spent. That is the Judgement of Allah, He judges between you. And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
হে লোকেরা! নারীরা মুহাজির হয়ে (তোমাদের) কাছে এলে তোমরা তাদের পরীক্ষা করে নিও। তাদের ঈমান সম্পর্কে আল্লাহ্ই অধিক জানেন। তোমরা যদি জানতে পারো, তারা সত্যি মুমিনা, তবে তাদের কাফিরদের কাছে ফেরত পাঠিয়োনা। কারণ তারা কাফিরদের জন্যে হালাল নয়, আর কাফিররাও তাদের জন্যে হালাল নয়। কাফিররা তাদের জন্যে যা (যে মোহরানা) ব্যয় করেছে তা তাদের ফেরত দেবে। অত:পর মোহরানা দিয়ে তাদের বিয়ে করলে তোমাদের কোনো দোষ হবেনা। তোমরা নারীদের সাথে বৈবাহিক সম্পর্ক বজায় রেখোনা। তোমরা তাদের জন্যে যা (যে মোহরানা) ব্যয় করেছো তা ফেরত চাইবে এবং কাফিররাও চাইবে তারা যা ব্যয় করেছে। এটাই আল্লাহর বিধান। তিনি তোমাদের মাঝে ফায়সালা করে দেন। তিনি জ্ঞানী এবং প্রজ্ঞাবান।
Saheeh International
O you who have believed, when the believing women come to you as emigrants, examine them. Allah is most knowing as to their faith. And if you know them to be believers, then do not return them to the disbelievers; they are not lawful [wives] for them, nor are they lawful [husbands] for them. But give the disbelievers what they have spent. And there is no blame upon you if you marry them when you have given them their due compensation. And hold not to marriage bonds with disbelieving women, but ask for what you have spent and let them ask for what they have spent. That is the judgement of Allah; He judges between you. And Allah is Knowing and Wise.

And if any of your wives have gone from you to the disbelievers, (as apostates and you asked them to return back your Mahr but they refused) - then you went out for a Ghazwah (military expedition) (against them and) gained booty; then pay from that booty to those whose wives have gone, the equivalent of what they had spent (on their Mahr ). And fear Allah in Whom you believe.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তোমাদের স্ত্রীদেরকে দেয়া মোহরানার কিছু অংশ যদি তোমরা ফেরত না পাও এবং পরে যদি তোমরা সুযোগ পেয়ে যাও তাহলে যাদের স্ত্রীরা ওদিকে রয়ে গেছে তাদেরকে তাদের দেয়া মোহরানার সমপরিমাণ অর্থ দিয়ে দাও। তোমরা সেই আল্লাহকে ভয় করো যাঁর প্রতি তোমরা ()।

And if you have lost any of your wives to the disbelievers and you subsequently obtain [something], then give those whose wives have gone the equivalent of what they had spent. And fear Allah, in whom you are believers.

O Prophet! When believing women come to you to give you the Bai'ah (pledge), that they will not associate anything in worship with Allah, that they will not steal, that they will not commit illegal sexual intercourse, that they will not kill their children, that they will not utter slander, intentionally forging falsehood (i.e. by making illegal children belonging to their husbands), and that they will not disobey you in Ma'ruf (Islamic Monotheism and all that which Islam ordains), then accept their Bai'ah (pledge), and ask Allah to forgive them. Verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
হে নবী! নারীরা তোমার কাছে এসে বাইয়াত করতে চাইলে এসব শর্তে তাদের বাইয়াত গ্রহণ করে নাও: তারা আল্লাহর সাথে শরিক সাব্যস্ত করবেনা, চুরি করবেনা, জিনা করবেনা, নিজেদের সন্তানদের হত্যা করবেনা, জেনেশুনে অপবাদ রচনা করে রটাবেনা এবং ভালো কাজে তোমার নির্দেশ অমান্য করবেনা। তুমি আল্লাহর কাছে তাদের জন্যে ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা করবে। নিশ্চয়ই পরম ক্ষমাশীল, অতীব দয়াবান।
Saheeh International
O Prophet, when the believing women come to you pledging to you that they will not associate anything with Allah, nor will they steal, nor will they commit unlawful sexual intercourse, nor will they kill their children, nor will they bring forth a slander they have invented between their arms and legs, nor will they disobey you in what is right - then accept their pledge and ask forgiveness for them of Allah. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

O you who believe! Take not as friends the people who incurred the Wrath of Allah (i.e. the Jews). Surely, they have despaired of (receiving any good in) the Hereafter, just as the disbelievers have despaired of those (buried) in graves (that they will not be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection).
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
হে লোকেরা! যে কওমটির প্রতি ক্ষুব্ধ, তোমরা তাদের সাথে বন্ধুতা করোনা। তারা তো সম্পর্কে হতাশ হয়ে পড়েছে, যেমন হতাশ হয়েছে কবরের অধিবাসী কাফিররা।
Saheeh International
O you who have believed, do not make allies of a people with whom Allah has become angry. They have despaired of [reward in] the Hereafter just as the disbelievers have despaired of [meeting] the inhabitants of the graves.
