In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "It has been revealed to me that a group (from three to ten in number) of jinn listened (to this Qur'an). They said: 'Verily, we have heard a wonderful Recitation (this Qur'an)!

বলো - - ''আমার কাছে প্রত্যাদেশ করা হয়েছে যে জিনদের একটি দল শুনেছিল, এবং বলেছিল - - 'আমরা নিশ্চয় এক আশ্চর্যজনক কুরআন শুনেছি,
Pickthall
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. Say (O Muhammad): It is revealed unto me that a company of the Jinn gave ear, and they said: Lo! we have heard a marvellous Qur'an,
Hilali & Muhsin Khan
'It guides to the Right Path, and we have believed therein, and we shall never join (in worship) anything with our Lord (Allah).
জহুরুল হক
'যা সুষ্ঠুপথের দিকে চালনা করে, তাই আমরা তাতে ঈমান এনেছি, আর আমরা কখনো আমাদের প্রভুর সাথে কাউকেও শরিক করব না,

Which guideth unto righteousness, so we believe in it and we ascribe no partner unto our Lord.

'And He, exalted be the Majesty of our Lord, has taken neither a wife nor a son (or offspring or children).
জহুরুল হক
'আর তিনি, - - সুউন্নত হোক আমাদের প্রভুর মহিমা, - - তিনি কোনো সহচরী গ্রহণ করেন নি, আর না কোনো সন্তান,

And (we believe) that He - exalted be the glory of our Lord! - hath taken neither wife nor son,

'And that the foolish among us [i.e. Iblis (Satan) or the polytheists amongst the jinn] used to utter against Allah that which was an enormity in falsehood.
জহুরুল হক
'আর এই যে আমাদের মধ্যের নির্বোধেরা সন্বন্ধে অমূলক কথা বলত,

And that the foolish one among us used to speak concerning Allah an atrocious lie.

'And verily, we thought that men and jinn would not utter a lie against Allah.

'আর এই যে আমরা ভেবেছিলাম যে মানুষ ও জিন সন্বন্ধে কখনো মিথ্যাকথা বলবে না’,

And lo! we had supposed that humankind and jinn would not speak a lie concerning Allah -

'And verily, there were men among mankind who took shelter with the males among the jinn, but they (jinn) increased them (mankind) in sin and transgression.

''আর এই যে মানুষের মধ্যের কিছু লোক জিনজাতির কিছু লোকের আশ্রয় নিত, ফলে ওরা তাদের পাপাচার বাড়িয়ে দিত,
Pickthall
And indeed (O Muhammad) individuals of humankind used to invoke the protection of individuals of the jinn, so that they increased them in revolt against Allah);

'And they thought as you thought, that Allah will not send any Messenger (to mankind or jinn).

''আর এই যে তারা ভেবেছিল যেমন তোমরা ভাবছো যে কাউকেও পুনরুত্থিত করবেন না,

And indeed they supposed, even as ye suppose, that Allah would not raise anyone (from the dead) -

'And we have sought to reach the heaven; but found it filled with stern guards and flaming fires.

''আর 'আমরা আকাশে আড়ি পাততাম, কিন্ত আমরা তাকে দেখতে পেতাম কড়া প্রহরী ও অগ্নিশিখা দিয়ে ভরপূর,

And (the Jinn who had listened to the Qur'an said): We had sought the heaven but had found it filled with strong warders and meteors.

'And verily, we used to sit there in stations, to (steal) a hearing, but any who listens now will find a flaming fire watching him in ambush.

'আর আমরা নিশ্চয় তার মধ্যের বসবার জায়গাগুলোয় বসে থাকতাম গুনবার জন্য, কিন্ত যে কেউ শুনতে চায় সে এখন দেখতে পায় তার জন্য রয়েছে অগ্নিশিখা অপেক্ষারত;

And we used to sit on places (high) therein to listen. But he who listeneth now findeth a flame in wait for him;

'And we know not whether evil is intended for those on earth, or whether their Lord intends for them a Right Path.
জহুরুল হক
'আর আমরা অবশ্য জানি না - - পৃথিবীতে যারা রয়েছে তাদের জন্য অমঙ্গল কামনা করা হচ্ছে, না এ - সবের দ্বারা তাদের প্রভু সুষ্ঠুপথের দিশা চাইছেন;

And we know not whether harm is boded unto all who are in the earth, or whether their Lord intendeth guidance for them.

'There are among us some that are righteous, and some the contrary; we are groups having different ways (religious sects).
জহুরুল হক
'আর নিশ্চয় আমাদের কেউ - কেউ সৎপথাবলন্বী আর আমাদের অন্যেরা এর বিপরীত। আমরা বিভিন্ন সম্প্রদায় বিভিন্ন পন্থী;
Pickthall
And among us there are righteous folk and among us there are far from that. We are sects having different rules.
Hilali & Muhsin Khan
'And we think that we cannot escape (the punishment of) Allah in the earth, nor can we escape Him by flight.
জহুরুল হক
'আর আমরা বুঝি যে আমরা দুনিয়াতে কখনো কে পরাভূত করতে পারব না এবং পলায়নের দ্বারাও তাঁকে কখনও এড়াতে পারব না,

And we know that we cannot escape from Allah in the earth, nor can we escape by flight.

'And indeed when we heard the Guidance (this Qur'an), we believed therein (Islamic Monotheism), and whosoever believes in his Lord shall have no fear, either of a decrease in the reward of his good deeds or an increase in the punishment for his sins.

'আর আমরা যখন পথনির্দেশ শুনেছি আমরা তাতে বিশ্বাস করেছি। সুতরাং যে কেউ তার প্রভুর প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে, সে তবে আশংকা করবে না কমে যাওয়ার অথবা লাঞ্ছনা পাবার,

And when we heard the guidance, we believed therein, and whoso believeth in his Lord, he feareth neither loss nor oppression.
Hilali & Muhsin Khan
'And of us some are Muslims (who have submitted to Allah, after listening to this Qur'an), and of us some are Al-Qasitun (disbelievers - those who have deviated from the Right Path)'. And whosoever has embraced Islam (i.e. has become a Muslim by submitting to Allah), then such have sought the Right Path."

''আর আমাদের মধ্যের কেউ - কেউ অবশ্য মুসলিম আর আমাদের অন্যেরা সীমালংঘনকারী। সুতরাং যারা আত্মসমর্পণ করেছে তারাই তবে সুষ্ঠুপথের সন্ধান খোঁজেছে।
Pickthall
And there are among us some who have surrendered (to Allah) and there are among us some who are unjust. And whoso hath surrendered to Allah, such have taken the right path purposefully.
Hilali & Muhsin Khan
And as for the Qasitun (disbelievers who deviated from the Right Path), they shall be firewood for Hell,
জহুরুল হক
'আর সীমালংঘনকারীদের ক্ষেত্রে - - তারা তো জাহান্নামেরই ইন্ধন হয়েছে।’”

And as for those who are unjust, they are firewood for hell.

If they (non-Muslims) had believed in Allah, and went on the Right Way (i.e. Islam) We would surely have bestowed on them water (rain) in abundance.

আর এই যে যদি তারা নির্দেশিত পথে কায়েম থাকত তবে আমরা অবশ্যই তাদের প্রচুর পানি দিয়ে সমৃদ্ধ করতাম;

If they (the idolaters) tread the right path, We shall give them to drink of water in abundance

That We might try them thereby. And whosoever turns away from the Reminder of his Lord (i.e. this Qur'an, - and practise not its laws and orders), He will cause him to enter in a severe torment (i.e. Hell).
জহুরুল হক
যেন আমরা তাদের পরীক্ষা করতে পারি তার দ্বারা। আর যে কেউ তার প্রভুর স্মরণ থেকে ফিরে থাকে, তিনি তাকে ঢুকিয়ে দেবেন চিরবর্ধমান শাস্তিতে।

That We may test them thereby, and whoso turneth away from the remembrance of his Lord; He will thrust him into ever - growing torment.

And the mosques are for Allah (Alone): so invoke not anyone along with Allah.
জহুরুল হক
আর এই যে মসজিদগুলো হচ্ছে র জন্য, সুতরাং তোমরা র সঙ্গে আর কাউকেও ডেকো না।

And the places of worship are only for Allah, so pray not unto anyone along with Allah.

And when the slave of Allah (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) stood up invoking Him (his Lord - Allah) in prayer they (the jinn) just made round him a dense crowd as if sticking one over the other (in order to listen to the Prophet's recitation).

আর এই যে যখন র বান্দা তাঁকে আহ্বান করতে দাঁড়িয়েছিলেন তখন তারা চেয়েছিল তাঁর চারিদিকে ভিড় করতে।

And when the slave of Allah stood up in prayer to Him, they crowded on him, almost stifling.

Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "I invoke only my Lord (Allah Alone), and I associate none as partners along with Him."

বলো - - ''নিঃসন্দেহ আমি আমার প্রভুকেই ডাকি, আর আমি তাঁর সঙ্গে কাউকেও শরিক করি না।’’
Pickthall
Say (unto them, O Muhammad): I pray unto Allah only, and ascribe unto Him no partner.

Say: "It is not in my power to cause you harm, or to bring you to the Right Path."
জহুরুল হক
তুমি বলো - - ''আমি কোনো কর্তৃত্ব করি না তোমাদের উপরে আঘাত হানার অথবা উপকার করার।’’

Say: Lo! I control not hurt nor benefit for you.
Hilali & Muhsin Khan
Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "None can protect me from Allah's punishment (if I were to disobey Him), nor can I find refuge except in Him.

তুমি বলে যাও - - ''নিশ্চয়ই কেউ আমাকে কখনো রক্ষা করতে পারবে না থেকে, আর তাঁকে বাদ দিয়ে আমি কখনো কোনো আশ্রয়ও পাব না, - -

Say: Lo! none can protect me from Allah, nor can I find any refuge beside Him
Hilali & Muhsin Khan
"(Mine is) but conveyance (of the truth) from Allah and His Messages (of Islamic Monotheism), and whosoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger, then Verily, for him is the Fire of Hell, he shall dwell therein forever."
জহুরুল হক
শুধু থেকে পৌঁছে দেওয়া, আর তাঁর বাণীসমূহ।’’ আর যে ও তাঁর রসূলের অবাধ্যতা করে, তার জন্য তবে নিশ্চয়ই রয়েছে জাহান্নামের আগুন, তাতে তারা থাকবে দীর্ঘকাল।

(Mine is) but conveyance (of the Truth) from Allah, and His messages; and whoso disobeyeth Allah and His messenger, lo! his is fire of hell, wherein such dwell for ever.

Till, when they see that which they are promised, then they will know who it is that is weaker concerning helpers and less important concerning numbers.
জহুরুল হক
যে পর্যন্ত না তারা দেখতে পায় যা তাদের ওয়াদা করা হয়েছিল, তখন তারা সঙ্গে - সঙ্গে জানতে পারবে কে সাহায্যলাভের ক্ষেত্রে দুর্বলতর, আর সংখ্যার দিক দিয়ে অল্প।

Till (the day) when they shall behold that which they are promised (they may doubt); but then they will know (for certain) who is weaker in allies and less in multitude.

Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "I know not whether (the punishment) which you are promised is near or whether my Lord will appoint for it a distant term.
জহুরুল হক
বলো - - ''আমি জানি না তোমাদের যা ওয়াদা করা হয়েছে তা আসন্ন, না আমার প্রভু তার জন্য কোনো দীর্ঘমিয়াদ স্থির করবেন।’’
Pickthall
Say (O Muhammad, unto the disbelievers): I know not whether that which ye are promised is nigh, or if my Lord hath set a distant term for it.

"(He Alone is) the All-Knower of the Ghaib (Unseen), and He reveals to none His Ghaib (Unseen)."

তিনি অদৃশ্যের পরিজ্ঞাতা, তাই কারো কাছে তিনি তাঁর রহস্য প্রকাশ করেন না, - -

(He is) the Knower of the Unseen, and He revealeth unto none His secret,
Hilali & Muhsin Khan
Except to a Messenger (from mankind) whom He has chosen (He informs him of unseen as much as He likes), and then He makes a band of watching guards (angels) to march before him and behind him.

রসূলের মধ্যে যাঁকে তিনি মনোনয়ন করেছেন তাঁকে ব্যতীত, সেজন্য নিশ্চয় তিনি তাঁর সামনে ও তাঁর পেছনে প্রহরী নিয়োজিত করেন,

Save unto every messenger whom He hath chosen, and then He maketh a guard to go before him and a guard behind him
Hilali & Muhsin Khan
[He (Allah) protects them (the Messengers)], till He sees that they (the Messengers) have conveyed the Messages of their Lord (Allah). And He (Allah) surrounds all that which is with them, and He (Allah) keeps count of all things (i.e. He knows the exact number of everything).

যেন তিনি জানতে পারেন যে তাঁরা তাঁদের প্রভুর বাণীসমূহ পৌঁছে দিয়েছেন কি না, আর তিনি ঘিরে আছেন তাঁদের কাছের সব - কিছু, আর তিনি সব - কিছুর হিসাব রাখেন গোনে - গোনে।

That He may know that they have indeed conveyed the messages of their Lord. He surroundeth all their doings, and He keepeth count of all things.
