In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Have you seen him who denies the Recompense?
জহুরুল হক
তুমি কি তাকে দেখেছ যে ধর্মকর্মকে প্রত্যাখান করে?
Yusuf Ali
Seest thou one who denies the Judgment (to come)?

أَرَءَيْتَ ٱلَّذِى يُكَذِّبُ بِٱلدِّينِ
Hilali & Muhsin Khan
That is he who repulses the orphan (harshly),
জহুরুল হক
সে তো ঐ জন যে এতীমদের হাঁকিয়ে দেয়,
Yusuf Ali
Then such is the (man) who repulses the orphan (with harshness),

فَذَٰلِكَ ٱلَّذِى يَدُعُّ ٱلْيَتِيمَ
Hilali & Muhsin Khan
And urges not on the feeding of Al-Miskin (the poor),
জহুরুল হক
আর গরীব - দুঃখীকে খাওয়ানোর ক্ষেত্রে উৎসাহ দেখায় না।

And encourages not the feeding of the indigent.

وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلْمِسْكِينِ

So woe unto those performers of Salat (prayers) (hypocrites),

অতএব ধিক্ সেইসব - পড়ুয়াদের প্রতি - -

So woe to the worshippers

فَوَيْلٌ لِّلْمُصَلِّينَ

Those who delay their Salat (prayer from their stated fixed times).

যারা স্বয়ং তাদের সন্বন্ধে উদাসীন,

Who are neglectful of their prayers,

ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ عَن صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُونَ

Those who do good deeds only to be seen (of men),
জহুরুল হক
যারা নিজেরাই হচ্ছে লোক - দেখিয়ে,

Those who (want but) to be seen (of men),

ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ يُرَآءُونَ
Hilali & Muhsin Khan
And prevent Al-Ma'un (small kindnesses like salt, sugar, water).

আর যারা নিষেধ করে সাহায্য - সহায়তাকরণ।

But refuse (to supply) (even) neighbourly needs.
