Chapter 107, 7 verses
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Have you seen him who denies the Recompense?
আল্লাহর নামে শুরু করছি, পরম করুণাময় পরম দয়ালু; তুমি কি দেখেছো তাকে, যে ধর্মকে অস্বীকার করে?
أَرَءَيْتَ ٱلَّذِى يُكَذِّبُ بِٱلدِّينِ
That is he who repulses the orphan (harshly),
সে-ই যে এতিমকে তাড়িয়ে দেয়,
فَذَٰلِكَ ٱلَّذِى يَدُعُّ ٱلْيَتِيمَ
And urges not on the feeding of Al-Miskin (the poor),
এবং অভাবগ্রস্তকে খাদ্য দিতে উৎসাহ দেয় না,
وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلْمِسْكِينِ
So woe unto those performers of Salat (prayers) (hypocrites),
অতএব দুর্ভোগ মুসল্লিদের,
فَوَيْلٌ لِّلْمُصَلِّينَ
Those who delay their Salat (prayer from their stated fixed times).
যারা তাদের সম্পর্কে উদাসীন,
ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ عَن صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُونَ
Those who do good deeds only to be seen (of men),
যারা দেখানোর জন্য করে,
ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ يُرَآءُونَ
And prevent Al-Ma'un (small kindnesses like salt, sugar, water).
এবং ছোট ছোট সহযোগিতাও করে না।
وَيَمْنَعُونَ ٱلْمَاعُونَ
