بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصْحَابِ الْفِيلِ

Hilali & Muhsin Khan

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Have you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) not seen how your Lord dealt with the owners of the Elephant? [The Elephant army which came from Yemen under the command of Abrahah Al-Ashram intending to destroy the Ka'bah at Makkah].

তুমি কি দেখোনি (হে মুহাম্মদ!) তোমার প্রভু হাতীওয়ালা বাহিনীর সাথে কী আচরণ করেছেন?

وَأَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا أَبَابِيلَ

And He sent against them birds, in flocks,

তিনি তাদের উপর পাঠিয়েছিলেন ঝাঁকে ঝাঁকে পাখি।

وَأَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا أَبَابِيلَ

تَرْمِيهِم بِحِجَارَةٍ مِّن سِجِّيلٍ

Striking them with stones of Sijjil (baked clay).

তারা তাদের উপর পাকা মাটির পাথর নিক্ষেপ করেছিল।

تَرْمِيهِم بِحِجَارَةٍ مِّن سِجِّيلٍ

فَجَعَلَهُمْ كَعَصْفٍ مَّأْكُولٍ

And He made them like (an empty field of) stalks (of which the corn has been eaten up by cattle).

এভাবে তিনি তাদের করে দিয়েছিলেন চিবানো ভূষির মতো।
