بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصْحَابِ الْفِيلِ
মুহিউদ্দীন খান
আপনি কি দেখেননি আপনার পালনকর্তা হস্তীবাহিনীর সাথে কিরূপ ব্যবহার করেছেন?
Saheeh International
Have you not considered, [O Muhammad], how your Lord dealt with the companions of the elephant?
জহুরুল হক
তুমি কি দেখো নি তোমার প্রভু কেমন করেছিলেন হস্তি - বাহিনীর প্রতি?

أَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ كَيْدَهُمْ فِي تَضْلِيلٍ
মুহিউদ্দীন খান
তিনি কি তাদের চক্রান্ত নস্যাৎ করে দেননি?
Saheeh International
Did He not make their plan into misguidance?
জহুরুল হক
তাদের চক্রান্ত তিনি কি ব্যর্থতায় পর্যবসিত করেন নি?

وَأَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا أَبَابِيلَ
মুহিউদ্দীন খান
তিনি তাদের উপর প্রেরণ করেছেন ঝাঁকে ঝাঁকে পাখী,
Saheeh International
And He sent against them birds in flocks,
জহুরুল হক
আর তাদের উপরে তিনি পাঠালেন ঝাঁকে ঝাঁকে পাখীর দল,

تَرْمِيهِم بِحِجَارَةٍ مِّن سِجِّيلٍ
মুহিউদ্দীন খান
যারা তাদের উপর পাথরের কংকর নিক্ষেপ করছিল।
Saheeh International
Striking them with stones of hard clay,
জহুরুল হক
যারা তাদের আছড়ে ছিল শক্ত - কঠিন পাথরের গায়ে;

فَجَعَلَهُمْ كَعَصْفٍ مَّأْكُولٍ
মুহিউদ্দীন খান
অতঃপর তিনি তাদেরকে ভক্ষিত তৃণসদৃশ করে দেন।
Saheeh International
And He made them like eaten straw.
জহুরুল হক
ফলে তিনি তাদের বানিয়ে দিলেন খেয়ে ফেলা খড়ের মতো।
