1 By the mount

১ পরম দয়ালু, পরম ক্ষমাশীল আল্লাহর নামে; শপথ তূরের।
الطُّورِ (আত-তূর) একটি নির্দিষ্ট পর্বতকে বোঝায় বলে প্রচলিত ব্যাখ্যায় উল্লেখ করা হয়।

٢ وَكِتَابٍ مَّسْطُورٍ

2 And [by] a Book inscribed

3 In parchment spread open

4 And [by] the frequented House

5 And [by] the heaven raised high

٦ وَالْبَحْرِ الْمَسْجُورِ

6 And [by] the sea filled [with fire],

৬ শপথ উত্তাল সমুদ্রের।

٧ إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ لَوَاقِعٌ

7 Indeed, the punishment of your Lord will occur.

৭ নিশ্চয়ই তোমার পালনকর্তার শাস্তি অবশ্যই ঘটবে।

8 Of it there is no preventer.

11 Then woe, that Day, to the deniers,

12 Who are in [empty] discourse amusing themselves.

١٣ يَوْمَ يُدَعُّونَ إِلَىٰ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ دَعًّا
Saheeh International
13 The Day they are thrust toward the fire of Hell with a [violent] thrust, [its angels will say],

১৩ যেদিন উহাদেরকে ধাক্কা মারিতে মারিতে লইয়া যাওয়া হইবে জাহান্নামের অগ্নির দিকে

١٣ يوم يدعون إلى نار جهنم دعا

١٤ هَٰذِهِ النَّارُ الَّتِي كُنتُم بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ

14 "This is the Fire which you used to deny.

১৪ এটাই সেই আগুন, যা তোমরা অস্বীকার করতে।

١٥ أَفَسِحْرٌ هَٰذَا أَمْ أَنتُمْ لَا تُبْصِرُونَ

15 Then is this magic, or do you not see?

১৫ তবে কি এটি জাদু, নাকি তোমরা দেখতে পাচ্ছো না?

١٥ أفسحر هذا أم أنتم لا تبصرون

١٦ اصْلَوْهَا فَاصْبِرُوا أَوْ لَا تَصْبِرُوا سَوَاءٌ عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ إِنَّمَا تُجْزَوْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
Saheeh International
16 [Enter to] burn therein; then be patient or impatient - it is all the same for you. You are only being recompensed [for] what you used to do."

১৬ এতে প্রবেশ করো। অতঃপর ধৈর্য ধরো বা ধৈর্য না ধরো, তোমাদের জন্য উভয়ই সমান। তোমরা যা করতে, তারই প্রতিদান তোমাদের দেওয়া হচ্ছে।

١٦ اصلوها فاصبروا أو لا تصبروا سواء عليكم ۖ إنما تجزون ما كنتم تعملون

١٧ إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَنَعِيمٍ

17 Indeed, the righteous will be in gardens and pleasure,

১৭ নিশ্চয়ই মুত্তাকীরা বেহেশতসমূহে ও সুখ-স্বাচ্ছন্দ্যের মধ্যে থাকবে।

١٧ إن المتقين في جنات ونعيم

١٨ فَاكِهِينَ بِمَا آتَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ وَوَقَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ عَذَابَ الْجَحِيمِ
Saheeh International
18 Enjoying what their Lord has given them, and their Lord protected them from the punishment of Hellfire.

১৮ তাদের পালনকর্তা তাদের যা দিয়েছেন, তাতে তারা আনন্দিত থাকবে; আর তাদের পালনকর্তা তাদের জাহিমের শাস্তি থেকে রক্ষা করেছেন।

١٨ فاكهين بما آتاهم ربهم ووقاهم ربهم عذاب الجحيم

١٩ كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا هَنِيئًا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

19 [They will be told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you used to do."

১৯ তোমরা যা করতে, তার কারণে তৃপ্তিসহ খাও এবং পান করো।

١٩ كلوا واشربوا هنيئا بما كنتم تعملون

٢٠ مُتَّكِئِينَ عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍ مَّصْفُوفَةٍ ۖ وَزَوَّجْنَاهُم بِحُورٍ عِينٍ
Saheeh International
20 They will be reclining on thrones lined up, and We will marry them to fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes.

২০ সারিবদ্ধ আসনসমূহে হেলান দিয়ে বসে থাকবে। আর আমরা তাদের বিয়ে দিবো আয়তলোচনা হুরদের সঙ্গে।
আয়তলোচনা = বড়ো চোখের মেয়ে

٢٠ متكئين على سرر مصفوفة ۖ وزوجناهم بحور عين

٢١ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَاتَّبَعَتْهُمْ ذُرِّيَّتُهُم بِإِيمَانٍ أَلْحَقْنَا بِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَمَا أَلَتْنَاهُم مِّنْ عَمَلِهِم مِّن شَيْءٍ ۚ كُلُّ امْرِئٍ بِمَا كَسَبَ رَهِينٌ
Saheeh International
21 And those who believed and whose descendants followed them in faith - We will join with them their descendants, and We will not deprive them of anything of their deeds. Every person, for what he earned, is retained.

২১ আর যারা বিশ্বাস করেছে এবং তাদের বংশধররা বিশ্বাসের সঙ্গে তাদের অনুসরণ করেছে, আমরা তাদের বংশধরদের তাদের সঙ্গে মিলিত করব। আর তাদের কাজের প্রতিদান থেকে কোনো কিছুই আমরা কমাবো না। প্রত্যেক ব্যক্তি তার অর্জনের জন্য দায়বদ্ধ।

٢١ والذين آمنوا واتبعتهم ذريتهم بإيمان ألحقنا بهم ذريتهم وما ألتناهم من عملهم من شيء ۚ كل امرئ بما كسب رهين

٢٢ وَأَمْدَدْنَاهُم بِفَاكِهَةٍ وَلَحْمٍ مِّمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ
Saheeh International
22 And We will provide them with fruit and meat from whatever they desire.

২২ আর তারা যা কামনা করবে, তা থেকে ফলমূল ও মাংস দিয়ে, আমরা তাদের আরও দেবো।

٢٢ وأمددناهم بفاكهة ولحم مما يشتهون

٢٣ يَتَنَازَعُونَ فِيهَا كَأْسًا لَّا لَغْوٌ فِيهَا وَلَا تَأْثِيمٌ
Saheeh International
23 They will exchange with one another a cup [of wine] wherein [results] no ill speech or commission of sin.

২৩ তারা একে অপরের কাছ থেকে পানপাত্র গ্রহণ করবে, সেখানে কোনো মন্দ কথা থাকবে না এবং কোনো পাপও নয়।

٢٣ يتنازعون فيها كأسا لا لغو فيها ولا تأثيم

٢٤ ۞ وَيَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ غِلْمَانٌ لَّهُمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ لُؤْلُؤٌ مَّكْنُونٌ
Saheeh International
24 There will circulate among them [servant] boys [especially] for them, as if they were pearls well - protected.

২৪ আর তাদের সেবায় ঘুরে বেড়াবে তাদের জন্য নিয়োজিত কিশোরেরা, যেন তারা সুরক্ষিত মুক্তা।

٢٤ ۞ ويطوف عليهم غلمان لهم كأنهم لؤلؤ مكنون

٢٥ وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ
Saheeh International
25 And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other.

২৫ আর তারা মুখোমুখি হয়ে একে অপরের কথা জানতে চাইবে।

٢٥ وأقبل بعضهم على بعض يتساءلون

٢٦ قَالُوا إِنَّا كُنَّا قَبْلُ فِي أَهْلِنَا مُشْفِقِينَ
Saheeh International
26 They will say, "Indeed, we were previously among our people fearful [of displeasing Allah].

২৬ তারা বলবে, “নিশ্চয়ই আমরা আগে আমাদের পরিবারের মধ্যে উদ্বিগ্ন ছিলাম।”

٢٦ قالوا إنا كنا قبل في أهلنا مشفقين

٢٧ فَمَنَّ اللَّهُ عَلَيْنَا وَوَقَانَا عَذَابَ السَّمُومِ
Saheeh International
27 So Allah conferred favor upon us and protected us from the punishment of the Scorching Fire.

২৭ অতঃপর আল্লাহ আমাদের প্রতি অনুগ্রহ করেছেন এবং আমাদেরকে উত্তপ্ত বাতাসের শাস্তি থেকে রক্ষা করেছেন।

٢٧ فمن الله علينا ووقانا عذاب السموم

٢٨ إِنَّا كُنَّا مِن قَبْلُ نَدْعُوهُ ۖ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْبَرُّ الرَّحِيمُ
Saheeh International
28 Indeed, we used to supplicate Him before. Indeed, it is He who is the Beneficent, the Merciful."

২৮ নিশ্চয়ই আমরা এর আগে তাঁকে ডাকতাম। নিশ্চয়ই তিনিই পরম অনুগ্রহশীল, পরম দয়ালু।

٢٨ إنا كنا من قبل ندعوه ۖ إنه هو البر الرحيم

٢٩ فَذَكِّرْ فَمَا أَنتَ بِنِعْمَتِ رَبِّكَ بِكَاهِنٍ وَلَا مَجْنُونٍ
Saheeh International
29 So remind [O Muhammad], for you are not, by the favor of your Lord, a soothsayer or a madman.

২৯ অতএব তুমি স্মরণ করিয়ে দাও। তোমার পালনকর্তার অনুগ্রহে তুমি কোনো গণক নও এবং পাগলও নও।

٢٩ فذكر فما أنت بنعمت ربك بكاهن ولا مجنون
Arabic, with marks
٣٠ أَمْ يَقُولُونَ شَاعِرٌ نَّتَرَبَّصُ بِهِ رَيْبَ الْمَنُونِ
Saheeh International
30 Or do they say [of you], "A poet for whom we await a misfortune of time?"

৩০ নাকি তারা বলে, “সে একজন কবি; আমরা তার ব্যাপারে সময়ের বিপর্যয়ের অপেক্ষা করছি”?

٣٠ أم يقولون شاعر نتربص به ريب المنون

٣١ قُلْ تَرَبَّصُوا فَإِنِّي مَعَكُم مِّنَ الْمُتَرَبِّصِينَ
Saheeh International
31 Say, "Wait, for indeed I am, with you, among the waiters."

৩১ বলো, “তোমরা অপেক্ষা করো; আমিও তোমাদের সঙ্গে অপেক্ষাকারীদের একজন।”

٣١ قل تربصوا فإني معكم من المتربصين

٣٢ أَمْ تَأْمُرُهُمْ أَحْلَامُهُم بِهَٰذَا ۚ أَمْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ
Saheeh International
32 Or do their minds command them to [say] this, or are they a transgressing people?

৩২ নাকি তাদের বুদ্ধি তাদের এসবের নির্দেশ দেয়, নাকি তারা সীমালঙ্ঘনকারী এক সম্প্রদায়?

٣٢ أم تأمرهم أحلامهم بهذا ۚ أم هم قوم طاغون
Arabic, with marks
٣٣ أَمْ يَقُولُونَ تَقَوَّلَهُ ۚ بَل لَّا يُؤْمِنُونَ
Saheeh International
33 Or do they say, "He has made it up"? Rather, they do not believe.

৩৩ নাকি তারা বলে, “সে এটি নিজে বানিয়ে নিয়েছে”? বরং তারা বিশ্বাস করে না।

٣٣ أم يقولون تقوله ۚ بل لا يؤمنون

٣٤ فَلْيَأْتُوا بِحَدِيثٍ مِّثْلِهِ إِن كَانُوا صَادِقِينَ
Saheeh International
34 Then let them produce a statement like it, if they should be truthful.

৩৪ তাহলে তারা এর মতো কোনো বাণী নিয়ে আসুক, যদি তারা সত্যবাদী হয়।

٣٤ فليأتوا بحديث مثله إن كانوا صادقين

٣٥ أَمْ خُلِقُوا مِنْ غَيْرِ شَيْءٍ أَمْ هُمُ الْخَالِقُونَ
Saheeh International
35 Or were they created by nothing, or were they the creators [of themselves]?

৩৫ তারা কি কোনো কিছু ছাড়াই সৃষ্টি হয়েছে, নাকি তারাই স্রষ্টা?

٣٥ أم خلقوا من غير شيء أم هم الخالقون

٣٦ أَمْ خَلَقُوا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ ۚ بَل لَّا يُوقِنُونَ
Saheeh International
36 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Rather, they are not certain.

৩৬ নাকি তারা আকাশসমূহ ও পৃথিবী সৃষ্টি করেছে? বরং তারা দৃঢ় বিশ্বাস করে না।

٣٦ أم خلقوا السماوات والأرض ۚ بل لا يوقنون

٣٧ أَمْ عِندَهُمْ خَزَائِنُ رَبِّكَ أَمْ هُمُ الْمُصَيْطِرُونَ
Saheeh International
37 Or have they the depositories [containing the provision] of your Lord? Or are they the controllers [of them]?

৩৭ নাকি তোমার পালনকর্তার ভাণ্ডারসমূহ তাদের কাছে আছে, নাকি তারাই নিয়ন্ত্রণকারী?

٣٧ أم عندهم خزائن ربك أم هم المصيطرون

٣٨ أَمْ لَهُمْ سُلَّمٌ يَسْتَمِعُونَ فِيهِ ۖ فَلْيَأْتِ مُسْتَمِعُهُم بِسُلْطَانٍ مُّبِينٍ
Saheeh International
38 Or have they a stairway [into the heaven] upon which they listen? Then let their listener produce a clear authority.

৩৮ নাকি তাদের কোনো সিঁড়ি আছে, যাতে তারা উঠে শোনে? তাহলে তাদের শ্রোতা সুস্পষ্ট প্রমাণ নিয়ে আসুক।

٣٨ أم لهم سلم يستمعون فيه ۖ فليأت مستمعهم بسلطان مبين

٣٩ أَمْ لَهُ الْبَنَاتُ وَلَكُمُ الْبَنُونَ
Saheeh International
39 Or has He daughters while you have sons?

৩৯ নাকি তাঁর জন্য কন্যাসন্তান, আর তোমাদের জন্য পুত্রসন্তান?

٣٩ أم له البنات ولكم البنون
Arabic, with marks
٤٠ أَمْ تَسْأَلُهُمْ أَجْرًا فَهُم مِّن مَّغْرَمٍ مُّثْقَلُونَ
Saheeh International
40 Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask of them a payment, so they are by debt burdened down?

৪০ নাকি তুমি তাদের কাছে কোনো পারিশ্রমিক চাও, ফলে তারা ঋণের বোঝায় ভারাক্রান্ত?

٤٠ أم تسألهم أجرا فهم من مغرم مثقلون

٤١ أَمْ عِندَهُمُ الْغَيْبُ فَهُمْ يَكْتُبُونَ
Saheeh International
41 Or have they [knowledge of] the unseen, so they write [it] down?

৪১ নাকি তাদের কাছে অদৃশ্যের জ্ঞান আছে, ফলে তারা তা লিখে রাখে?

٤١ أم عندهم الغيب فهم يكتبون

٤٢ أَمْ يُرِيدُونَ كَيْدًا ۖ فَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا هُمُ الْمَكِيدُونَ
Saheeh International
42 Or do they intend a plan? But those who disbelieve - they are the object of a plan.
সমকালীন বাংলা
৪২ নাকি তারা কোনো ষড়যন্ত্র করতে চায়? অথচ যারা অবিশ্বাস করেছে, তারাই ষড়যন্ত্রের শিকার হবে।

٤٢ أم يريدون كيدا ۖ فالذين كفروا هم المكيدون

٤٣ أَمْ لَهُمْ إِلَٰهٌ غَيْرُ اللَّهِ ۚ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ
Saheeh International
43 Or have they a deity other than Allah? Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him.
সমকালীন বাংলা
৪৩ নাকি আল্লাহ ছাড়া তাদের অন্য কোনো উপাস্য আছে? তারা যাদের শরিক করে, আল্লাহ তা থেকে পবিত্র।

٤٣ أم لهم إله غير الله ۚ سبحان الله عما يشركون

٤٤ وَإِن يَرَوْا كِسْفًا مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ سَاقِطًا يَقُولُوا سَحَابٌ مَّرْكُومٌ
Saheeh International
44 And if they were to see a fragment from the sky falling, they would say, "[It is merely] clouds heaped up."

৪৪ উহারা আকাশের কোন খণ্ড ভাঙ্গিয়া পড়িতে দেখিলে বলিবে, ‘ইহা তো এক পুঞ্জীভূত মেঘ।’

٤٤ وإن يروا كسفا من السماء ساقطا يقولوا سحاب مركوم
Arabic, with marks
٤٥ فَذَرْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يُلَاقُوا يَوْمَهُمُ الَّذِي فِيهِ يُصْعَقُونَ
Saheeh International
45 So leave them until they meet their Day in which they will be struck insensible -

৪৫ উহাদের উপেক্ষা করিয়া চল সেই দিন পর্যন্ত যেদিন উহারা বজ্রাঘাতে হতচেতন হইবে।

٤٥ فذرهم حتى يلاقوا يومهم الذي فيه يصعقون

٤٦ يَوْمَ لَا يُغْنِي عَنْهُمْ كَيْدُهُمْ شَيْئًا وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ
Saheeh International
46 The Day their plan will not avail them at all, nor will they be helped.

৪৬ সেদিন উহাদের ষড়যন্ত্র কোন কাজে আসিবে না এবং উহাদেরকে সাহায্যও করা হইবে না।

٤٦ يوم لا يغني عنهم كيدهم شيئا ولا هم ينصرون

٤٧ وَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا عَذَابًا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
Saheeh International
47 And indeed, for those who have wronged is a punishment before that, but most of them do not know.

৪৭ ইহা ছাড়া আরও শাস্তি রহিয়াছে জালিমদের জন্য। কিন্তু উহাদের অধিকাংশই তাহা জানে না।

٤٧ وإن للذين ظلموا عذابا دون ذلك ولكن أكثرهم لا يعلمون

٤٨ وَاصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ فَإِنَّكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا ۖ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ
Saheeh International
48 And be patient, [O Muhammad], for the decision of your Lord, for indeed, you are in Our eyes. And exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord when you arise.
