Chapter 83, 36 verses
Wehe den das Maß Kürzenden,
ধ্বংস যারা পরিমাপে কম দেয় তাদের জন্য।
দুর্ভোগ তাহাদের জন্য যাহারা মাপে কম দেয়,
Woe to those that deal in fraud, -
die, wenn sie sich von den Menschen zumessen lassen, sich volles Maß geben lassen,
যারা লোকদের কাছ থেকে মেপে নেয়ার সময় পূর্ণমাত্রায় গ্রহণ করে।
যাহারা লোকের নিকট হইতে মাপিয়া লইবার সময় পূর্ণমাত্রায় গ্রহণ করে,
Those who, when they have to receive by measure from men, exact full measure,
wenn sie ihnen aber zumessen oder wägen, Verlust zufügen.
আর যখন তাদেরকে মেপে দেয় অথবা ওজন করে দেয় তখন কম দেয়।
এবং যখন তাহাদের জন্য মাপিয়া অথবা ওজন করিয়া দেয়, তখন কম দেয়।
But when they have to give by measure or weight to men, give less than due.
Glauben jene nicht, daß sie auferweckt werden
তারা কি দৃঢ় বিশ্বাস করে না যে, নিশ্চয় তারা পুনরুত্থিত হবে,
উহারা কি চিন্তা করে না যে, উহারা পুনরুত্থিত হইবে
Do they not think that they will be called to account? -
zu einem gewaltigen Tag,
এক মহা দিবসে ?
মহাদিবসে?
On a Mighty Day,
am Tag, da die Menschen sich um des Herrn der Weltenbewohner willen aufstellen werden?
যেদিন মানুষ সৃষ্টিকুলের রবের জন্য দাঁড়াবে।
যেদিন দাঁড়াইবে সমস্ত মানুষ জগতসমূহের প্রতিপালকের সম্মুখে।
A Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the Worlds?
Keineswegs! Das Buch der Sittenlosen ist wahrlich in Siggin.
কখনো নয়, নিশ্চয় পাপাচারীদের ‘আমলনামা সিজ্জীনে।* *সপ্ত যমীনের নীচে অবস্থিত একটি স্থান। পাপীদের আমলনামা সেখানে রাখা হয়।
কখনও না, পাপাচারীদের ‘আমলনামা তো সিজ্জীনে আছে।
Nay! Surely the record of the wicked is (preserved) in Sijjin.
Und was läßt dich wissen, was Siggin ist?
কিসে তোমাকে জানাবে ‘সিজ্জীন’ কী?
সিজ্জীন সম্পর্কে তুমি কী জান?
And what will explain to thee what Sijjin is?
(Es ist) ein Buch mit festen Eintragungen.
লিখিত কিতাব।
উহা চিহ্নিত ‘আমলনামা।
(There is) a Register (fully) inscribed.
Wehe an jenem Tag den Leugnern,
সেদিন ধ্বংস অস্বীকারকারীদের জন্য ।
সেই দিন দুর্ভোগ হইবে অস্বীকারকারীদের,
Woe, that Day, to those that deny -
die den Tag des Gerichts für Lüge erklären!
যারা প্রতিদান দিবসকে অস্বীকার করে।
যাহারা কর্মফল দিবসকে অস্বীকার করে,
Those that deny the Day of Judgment.
Und nur derjenige erklärt ihn für Lüge, der Übertretungen begeht und ein Sünder ist.
আর সকল সীমালঙ্ঘনকারী পাপাচারী ছাড়া কেউ তা অস্বীকার করে না।
কেবল প্রত্যেক পাপিষ্ঠ সীমালংঘনকারী ইহা অস্বীকার করে ;
And none can deny it but the Transgressor beyond bounds the Sinner!
Wenn ihm Unsere Zeichen verlesen werden, sagt er: "(Es sind) Fabeln der Früheren."
যখন তার কাছে আমার আয়াতসমূহ তিলাওয়াত করা হয় তখন সে বলে, ‘পূর্ববর্তীদের রূপকথা।’
উহার নিকট আমার আয়াতসমূহ আবৃত্তি করা হইলে সে বলে, ‘ইহা পূর্ববর্তীদের উপকথা।’
When Our Signs are rehearsed to him, he says, "Tales of the ancients!"
Keineswegs! Vielmehr hat sich das, was sie zu erwerben pflegten, über ihren Herzen angesetzt.
কখনো নয়, বরং তারা যা অর্জন করত তা-ই তাদের অন্তরসমূহকে ঢেকে দিয়েছে।
কখনও নয় ; বরং উহাদের কৃতকর্মই উহাদের হৃদয়ে জঙ্ ধরাইয়াছে।
By no means! but on their hearts is the stain of the (ill) which they do!
Keineswegs! Sie werden von ihrem Herrn an jenem Tag bestimmt abgeschirmt sein.
কখনো নয়, নিশ্চয় সেদিন তারা তাদের রব থেকে পর্দার আড়ালে থাকবে।
না, অবশ্যই সেই দিন উহারা উহাদের প্রতিপালক হইতে অন্তর্হিত থাকিবে ;
Verily, from (the Light of) their Lord, that Day, will they be veiled.
Hierauf werden sie bestimmt dem Höllenbrand ausgesetzt sein.
তারপর নিশ্চয় তারা প্রজ্জ্বলিত আগুনে প্রবেশ করবে।
অতঃপর উহারা তো জাহান্নামে প্রবেশ করিবে ;
Further, they will enter the Fire of Hell.
Hierauf wird gesagt werden: "Das ist das, was ihr für Lüge zu erklären pflegtet."
তারপর বলা হবে, এটাই তা যা তোমরা অস্বীকার করতে।
তৎপর বলা হইবে, ‘ইহাই তাহা যাহা তোমরা অস্বীকার করিতে।’
Further, it will be said to them: "This is the (reality) which ye rejected as false!
Keineswegs! Das Buch der Frommen ist wahrlich in 'Illiyyin.
কখনো নয়, নিশ্চয় নেককার লোকদের আমলনামা থাকবে ইল্লিয়্যীনে ।* *আমল নামা। অথবা সপ্তম আকাশে জান্নাতের নিচে অবস্থিত একটি স্থান। অথবা জান্নাতের সর্বোচ্চ মর্যাদাপূর্ণ স্থান।
অবশ্যই পূণ্যবানদের ‘আমলনামা ‘ইল্লিয়্যীনে,
Nay, verily the record of the Righteous is (preserved) in 'Illiyin.
Und was läßt dich wissen, was 'Illiyyun ist?
কিসে তোমাকে জানাবে ‘ইল্লিয়্যীন’ কী?
‘ইল্লিয়্যীন সম্পর্কে তুমি কী জান ?
And what will explain to thee what 'Illiyun is?
(Es ist) ein Buch mit festen Eintragungen,
লিখিত কিতাব।
উহা চিহ্নিত ‘আমলনামা।
(There is) a Register (fully) inscribed,
in das die (Allah) Nahegestellten Einsicht nehmen.
নৈকট্যপ্রাপ্তরাই তা অবলোকন করে।
যাহারা র সান্নিধ্যপ্রাপ্ত তাহারা উহা দেখে।
To which bear witness those Nearest (to Allah).
Die Frommen werden wahrlich in Wonne sein,
নিশ্চয় নেককাররাই থাকবে সুখ-স্বাচ্ছন্দ্যের মধ্যে।
পুণ্যবানগণ তো থাকিবে পরম স্বাচ্ছন্দ্যে,
Truly the Righteous will be in Bliss:
auf überdachten Liegen (gelehnt), und blicken um sich.
সুসজ্জিত আসনে বসে তারা দেখতে থাকবে।
তাহারা সুসজ্জিত আসনে বসিয়া অবলোকন করিবে।
On Thrones (of Dignity) will they command a sight (of all things):
Du erkennst in ihren Gesichtern das Strahlen der Wonne.
তুমি তাদের চেহারাসমূহে সুখ-স্বাচ্ছন্দ্যের লাবণ্যতা দেখতে পাবে।
তুমি তাহাদের মুখমণ্ডলে স্বাচ্ছন্দ্যের দীপ্তি দেখিতে পাইবে,
Thou wilt recognise in their faces the beaming brightness of Bliss.
Ihnen wird von versiegeltem Nektar zu trinken gegeben,
তাদেরকে সীলমোহর করা বিশুদ্ধ পানীয় থেকে পান করানো হবে।
তাহাদেরকে মোহর করা বিশুদ্ধ পানীয় হইতে পান করান হইবে;
Their thirst will be slaked with Pure Wine sealed:
dessen Siegel Moschus ist -, und darum sollen die Wettbewerber wettkämpfen -,
তার মোহর হবে মিসক। আর প্রতিযোগিতাকারীদের উচিৎ এ বিষয়ে প্রতিযোগিতা করা।
উহার মোহর মিস্কের, এ বিষয়ে প্রতিযোগীরা প্রতিযোগিতা করুক।
The seal thereof will be Musk: And for this let those aspire, who have aspirations:
und dessen Beimischung Tasnim ist,
আর তার মিশ্রণ হবে তাসনীম থেকে।
উহার মিশ্রণ হইবে তাস্নীমের,
With it will be (given) a mixture of Tasnim:
aus einer Quelle, aus der die (Allah) Nahegestellten trinken.
তা এক প্রস্রবণ, যা থেকে নৈকট্যপ্রাপ্তরা পান করবে।
ইহা একটি প্রস্রবণ, যাহা হইতে সান্নিধ্যপ্রাপ্তরা পান করে।
A spring, from (the waters) whereof drink those Nearest to Allah.
Gewiß, diejenigen, die Übeltaten begingen, pflegten über diejenigen zu lachen, die glauben,
নিশ্চয় যারা অপরাধ করেছে তারা মুমিনদেরকে নিয়ে হাসত।
যাহারা অপরাধী তাহারা তো মু’মিনদেরকে উপহাস করিত।
Those in sin used to laugh at those who believed,
und, wenn sie an ihnen vorbeikamen, einander zuzuzwinkern.
আর যখন তারা মুমিনদের পাশ দিয়ে যেত তখন তারা তাদেরকে নিয়ে চোখ টিপে বিদ্রূপ করত।
এবং উহারা যখন মু’মিনদের নিকট দিয়া যাইত তখন চক্ষু টিপিয়া ইশারা করিত।
And whenever they passed by them, used to wink at each other (in mockery);
Und, wenn sie zu ihren Angehörigen zurückkehrten, kehrten sie zurück, indem sie es sich wohl sein ließen.
আর যখন তারা পরিবার-পরিজনের কাছে ফিরে আসত তখন তারা উৎফুল্ল হয়ে ফিরে আসত।
এবং যখন উহাদের আপনজনের নিকট ফিরিয়া আসিত তখন উহারা ফিরিত উৎফুল্ল হইয়া,
And when they returned to their own people, they would return jesting;
Und, wenn sie sie sahen, sagten sie: "Diese gehen fürwahr in die Irre."
আর যখন তারা মুমিনদেরকে দেখত তখন বলত, ‘নিশ্চয় এরা পথভ্রষ্ট’।
এবং যখন উহাদেরকে দেখিত তখন বলিত, ‘ইহারাই তো পথভ্রষ্ট।’
And whenever they saw them, they would say, "Behold! These are the people truly astray!"
Dabei waren sie doch nicht als Hüter über sie gesandt worden.
আর তাদেরকে তো মুমিনদের হিফাযতকারী হিসেবে পাঠানো হয়নি।
উহাদেরকে তো তাহাদের তত্ত্বাবধায়ক করিয়া পাঠান হয় নাই।
But they had not been sent as keepers over them!
Heute aber lachen diejenigen, die glauben, über die Ungläubigen,
অতএব আজ মুমিনরাই কাফিরদেরকে নিয়ে হাসবে।
আজ মু’মিনগণ উপহাস করিতেছে কাফিরদেরকে,
But on this Day the Believers will laugh at the Unbelievers:
auf überdachten Liegen (gelehnt), und blicken um sich.
উচ্চ আসনে বসে তারা দেখতে থাকবে।
সুসজ্জিত আসন হইতে উহাদেরকে অবলোকন করিয়া।
On Thrones (of Dignity) they will command (a sight) (of all things).
Sind die Ungläubigen nicht doch belohnt worden für das, was sie zu tun pflegten?
কাফিরদেরকে তাদের কৃতকর্মের প্রতিদান দেয়া হল তো?
কাফিররা উহাদের কৃতকর্মের ফল পাইল তো?
Will not the Unbelievers have been paid back for what they did?
