Chapter 80, 42 verses
Er blickte düster und kehrte sich ab,
(The Prophet) frowned and turned away,
AAabasa watawalla
weil der Blinde zu ihm kam.
Because there came to him the blind man (interrupting).
An jaahu alaAAma
Was läßt dich wissen, vielleicht läutert er sich
But what could tell thee but that perchance he might grow (in spiritual understanding)? -
Wama yudreeka laAAallahu yazzakka
Or that he might receive admonition, and the teaching might profit him?
Aw yaththakkaru fatanfaAAahu alththikra
As to one who regards Himself as self - sufficient,
Amma mani istaghna
so widmest du dich ihm,
To him dost thou attend;
Faanta lahu tasadda
Though it is no blame to thee if he grow not (in spiritual understanding).
But as to him who came to thee striving earnestly,
Waamma man jaaka yasAAa
und dabei gottesfürchtig ist,
And with fear (in his heart),
Wahuwa yakhsha
von dem läßt du dich ablenken.
Of him wast thou unmindful.
Faanta AAanhu talahha
Keineswegs! Gewiß, es ist eine Erinnerung.
By no means (should it be so)! For it is indeed a Message of instruction:
Kalla innaha tathkiratun
Wer nun will, gedenkt seiner.
Therefore let whoso will, keep it in remembrance.
Faman shaa thakarahu
(Er steht) auf in Ehren gehaltenen Blättern,
(It is) in Books held (greatly) in honour,
Fee suhufin mukarramatin
erhöhten und rein gehaltenen,
Exalted (in dignity), kept pure and holy,
MarfooAAatin mutahharatin
durch die Hände von Entsandten,
(Written) by the hands of scribes -
Biaydee safaratin
edlen, frommen.
Honourable and Pious and Just.
Kiramin bararatin
Tod dem Menschen, wie undankbar er ist!
Woe to man! What hath made him reject Allah;
Qutila alinsanu ma akfarahu
Woraus hat Er ihn erschaffen?
From what stuff hath He created him?
Min ayyi shayin khalaqahu
From a sperm - drop: He hath created him, and then mouldeth him in due proportions;
Min nutfatin khalaqahu faqaddarahu
Den Weg hierauf macht Er ihm leicht.
Then doth He make His path smooth for him;
Thumma alssabeela yassarahu
Hierauf läßt Er ihn sterben und bringt ihn dann ins Grab.
Then He causeth him to die, and putteth him in his grave;
Thumma amatahu faaqbarahu
Hierauf, wenn Er will, läßt Er ihn auferstehen.
Then, when it is His Will, He will raise him up (again).
Thumma itha shaa ansharahu
Keineswegs!
By no means hath he fulfilled what Allah hath commanded him.
Then let man look at his food, (and how We provide it):
Falyanthuri alinsanu ila taAAamihi
Wir gießen ja Güsse von Wasser,
For that We pour forth water in abundance,
Anna sababna almaa sabban
And We split the earth in fragments,
Thumma shaqaqna alarda shaqqan
und lassen dann auf ihr Korn wachsen
And produce therein corn,
Faanbatna feeha habban
und Rebstöcke und Grünzeug
And Grapes and nutritious plants,
WaAAinaban waqadban
und Ölbäume und Palmen
And Olives and Dates,
Wazaytoonan wanakhlan
und Gärten mit dicken Bäumen
And enclosed Gardens, dense with lofty trees,
Wahadaiqa ghulban
und Früchte und Futter,
And fruits and fodder, -
Wafakihatan waabban
For use and convenience to you and your cattle.
MataAAan lakum walianAAamikum
Wenn dann der betäubende (Schrei) kommt,
At length, when there comes the Deafening Noise, -
Faitha jaati alssakhkhatu
That Day shall a man flee from his own brother,
Yawma yafirru almaro min akheehi
und seiner Mutter und seinem Vater
And from his mother and his father,
Waommihi waabeehi
und seiner Gefährtin und seinen Söhnen
And from his wife and his children.
Wasahibatihi wabaneehi
Each one of them, that Day, will have enough concern (of his own) to make him indifferent to the others.
Likulli imriin minhum yawmaithin shanun yughneehi
Some faces that Day will be beaming,
Wujoohun yawmaithin musfiratun
lachen und sich freuen.
Laughing, rejoicing.
Dahikatun mustabshiratun
And other faces that Day will be dust - stained,
Wawujoohun yawmaithin AAalayha ghabaratun
und sie werden von Dunkelheit bedeckt sein.
Blackness will cover them:
Tarhaquha qataratun
Das sind die Ungläubigen und Sittenlosen.
Such will be the Rejecters of Allah, the doers of iniquity.
