Chapter 52, 49 verses
وَٱلطُّورِ
By the Mount (of Revelation);
পরম দয়ালু, পরম ক্ষমাশীল আল্লাহর নামে; শপথ তূরের।
وَكِتَٰبٍ مَّسْطُورٍ
By a Decree inscribed
শপথ লিখিত কিতাবের।
فِى رَقٍّ مَّنشُورٍ
In a Scroll unfolded;
খোলা পাতায়।
وَٱلْبَيْتِ ٱلْمَعْمُورِ
By the much - frequented Fane;
শপথ বায়তুল মা‘মূরের,
وَٱلسَّقْفِ ٱلْمَرْفُوعِ
By the Canopy Raised High;
শপথ সুউচ্চ ছাদের।
وَٱلْبَحْرِ ٱلْمَسْجُورِ
And by the Ocean filled with Swell; -
শপথ উত্তাল সমুদ্রের।
إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ لَوَٰقِعٌ
Verily, the Doom of thy Lord will indeed come to pass; -
নিশ্চয়ই তোমার পালনকর্তার শাস্তি অবশ্যই ঘটবে।
مَّا لَهُۥ مِن دَافِعٍ
There is none can avert it; -
তা প্রতিহত করার কেউ নেই।
يَوْمَ تَمُورُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ مَوْرًا
On the Day when the firmament will be in dreadful commotion.
যেদিন আকাশ প্রবলভাবে কেঁপে উঠবে।
وَتَسِيرُ ٱلْجِبَالُ سَيْرًا
And the mountains will fly hither and thither.
আর পাহাড়গুলো চলতে থাকবে।
فَوَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
Then woe that Day to those that treat (Truth) as Falsehood; -
সেদিন দুর্ভোগ মিথ্যারোপকারীদের জন্য।
ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ فِى خَوْضٍ يَلْعَبُونَ
That play (and paddle) in shallow trifles.
যারা অর্থহীন কথায় মেতে থেকে খেলাধুলা করে।
يَوْمَ يُدَعُّونَ إِلَىٰ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ دَعًّا
That Day shall they be thrust down to the Fire of Hell, irresistibly.
যেদিন উহাদেরকে ধাক্কা মারিতে মারিতে লইয়া যাওয়া হইবে জাহান্নামের অগ্নির দিকে
هَٰذِهِ ٱلنَّارُ ٱلَّتِى كُنتُم بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ
"This:, it will be said, "Is the Fire, - which ye were wont to deny!
এটাই সেই আগুন, যা তোমরা অস্বীকার করতে।
أَفَسِحْرٌ هَٰذَآ أَمْ أَنتُمْ لَا تُبْصِرُونَ
"Is this then a fake, or is it ye that do not see?
তবে কি এটি জাদু, নাকি তোমরা দেখতে পাচ্ছো না?
ٱصْلَوْهَا فَٱصْبِرُوٓا۟ أَوْ لَا تَصْبِرُوا۟ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْكُمْ إِنَّمَا تُجْزَوْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
"Burn ye therein: the same is it to you whether ye bear it with patience, or not: Ye but receive the recompense of your (own) deeds."
এতে প্রবেশ করো। অতঃপর ধৈর্য ধরো বা ধৈর্য না ধরো, তোমাদের জন্য উভয়ই সমান। তোমরা যা করতে, তারই প্রতিদান তোমাদের দেওয়া হচ্ছে।
إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى جَنَّٰتٍ وَنَعِيمٍ
As to the Righteous, they will be in Gardens, and in Happiness, -
নিশ্চয়ই মুত্তাকীরা বেহেশতসমূহে ও সুখ-স্বাচ্ছন্দ্যের মধ্যে থাকবে।
فَٰكِهِينَ بِمَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ وَوَقَىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْجَحِيمِ
Enjoying the (Bliss) which their Lord hath bestowed on them, and their Lord shall deliver them from the Penalty of the Fire.
তাদের পালনকর্তা তাদের যা দিয়েছেন, তাতে তারা আনন্দিত থাকবে; আর তাদের পালনকর্তা তাদের জাহিমের শাস্তি থেকে রক্ষা করেছেন।
كُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ هَنِيٓـًٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
(To them will be said:) "Eat and drink ye, with profit and health, because of your (good) deeds."
তোমরা যা করতে, তার কারণে তৃপ্তিসহ খাও এবং পান করো।
مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍ مَّصْفُوفَةٍ وَزَوَّجْنَٰهُم بِحُورٍ عِينٍ
They will recline (with ease) on Thrones (of dignity) arranged in ranks; and We shall join them to Companions, with beautiful big and lustrous eyes.
সারিবদ্ধ আসনসমূহে হেলান দিয়ে বসে থাকবে। আর আমরা তাদের বিয়ে দিবো আয়তলোচনা হুরদের সঙ্গে।
আয়তলোচনা = বড়ো চোখের মেয়ে
وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَٱتَّبَعَتْهُمْ ذُرِّيَّتُهُم بِإِيمَٰنٍ أَلْحَقْنَا بِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَمَآ أَلَتْنَٰهُم مِّنْ عَمَلِهِم مِّن شَىْءٍ كُلُّ ٱمْرِئٍۭ بِمَا كَسَبَ رَهِينٌ
And those who believe and whose families follow them in Faith, - to them shall We join their families: Nor shall We deprive them (of the fruit) of aught of their works: (Yet) is each individual in pledge for his deeds.
আর যারা বিশ্বাস করেছে এবং তাদের বংশধররা বিশ্বাসের সঙ্গে তাদের অনুসরণ করেছে, আমরা তাদের বংশধরদের তাদের সঙ্গে মিলিত করব। আর তাদের কাজের প্রতিদান থেকে কোনো কিছুই আমরা কমাবো না। প্রত্যেক ব্যক্তি তার অর্জনের জন্য দায়বদ্ধ।
وَأَمْدَدْنَٰهُم بِفَٰكِهَةٍ وَلَحْمٍ مِّمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ
And We shall bestow on them, of fruit and meat, anything they shall desire.
আর তারা যা কামনা করবে, তা থেকে ফলমূল ও মাংস দিয়ে, আমরা তাদের আরও দেবো।
يَتَنَٰزَعُونَ فِيهَا كَأْسًا لَّا لَغْوٌ فِيهَا وَلَا تَأْثِيمٌ
They shall there exchange, one with another, a (loving) cup free of frivolity, free of all taint of ill.
তারা একে অপরের কাছ থেকে পানপাত্র গ্রহণ করবে, সেখানে কোনো মন্দ কথা থাকবে না এবং কোনো পাপও নয়।
وَيَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ غِلْمَانٌ لَّهُمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ لُؤْلُؤٌ مَّكْنُونٌ
Round about them will serve, (devoted) to them, young male servants (handsome) as Pearls well - guarded.
আর তাদের সেবায় ঘুরে বেড়াবে তাদের জন্য নিয়োজিত কিশোরেরা, যেন তারা সুরক্ষিত মুক্তা।
وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ
They will advance to each other, engaging in mutual enquiry.
আর তারা মুখোমুখি হয়ে একে অপরের কথা জানতে চাইবে।
قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا كُنَّا قَبْلُ فِىٓ أَهْلِنَا مُشْفِقِينَ
They will say: "Aforetime, we were not without fear for the sake of our people.
তারা বলবে, “নিশ্চয়ই আমরা আগে আমাদের পরিবারের মধ্যে উদ্বিগ্ন ছিলাম।”
فَمَنَّ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْنَا وَوَقَىٰنَا عَذَابَ ٱلسَّمُومِ
"But Allah has been good to us, and has delivered us from the Penalty of the Scorching Wind.
অতঃপর আমাদের প্রতি অনুগ্রহ করেছেন এবং আমাদেরকে উত্তপ্ত বাতাসের শাস্তি থেকে রক্ষা করেছেন।
إِنَّا كُنَّا مِن قَبْلُ نَدْعُوهُ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْبَرُّ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
"Truly, we did call unto Him from of old: truly it is He, the Beneficent, the Merciful!"
নিশ্চয়ই আমরা এর আগে তাঁকে ডাকতাম। নিশ্চয়ই তিনিই পরম অনুগ্রহশীল, পরম দয়ালু।
فَذَكِّرْ فَمَآ أَنتَ بِنِعْمَتِ رَبِّكَ بِكَاهِنٍ وَلَا مَجْنُونٍ
Therefore proclaim thou the praises (of thy Lord): for by the Grace of thy Lord, thou art no (vulgar) soothsayer, nor art thou one possessed.
অতএব তুমি স্মরণ করিয়ে দাও। তোমার পালনকর্তার অনুগ্রহে তুমি কোনো গণক নও এবং পাগলও নও।
أَمْ يَقُولُونَ شَاعِرٌ نَّتَرَبَّصُ بِهِۦ رَيْبَ ٱلْمَنُونِ
Or do they say: - "A Poet! we await for him some calamity (hatched) by Time!"
নাকি তারা বলে, “সে একজন কবি; আমরা তার ব্যাপারে সময়ের বিপর্যয়ের অপেক্ষা করছি”?
قُلْ تَرَبَّصُوا۟ فَإِنِّى مَعَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْمُتَرَبِّصِينَ
Say thou: "Await ye! - I too will wait along with you!"
বলো, “তোমরা অপেক্ষা করো; আমিও তোমাদের সঙ্গে অপেক্ষাকারীদের একজন।”
أَمْ تَأْمُرُهُمْ أَحْلَٰمُهُم بِهَٰذَآ أَمْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ
Is it that their faculties of understanding urge them to this, or are they but a people transgressing beyond bounds?
নাকি তাদের বুদ্ধি তাদের এসবের নির্দেশ দেয়, নাকি তারা সীমালঙ্ঘনকারী এক সম্প্রদায়?
أَمْ يَقُولُونَ تَقَوَّلَهُۥ بَل لَّا يُؤْمِنُونَ
Or do they say, "He fabricated the (Message)"? Nay, they have no faith!
নাকি তারা বলে, “সে এটি নিজে বানিয়ে নিয়েছে”? বরং তারা বিশ্বাস করে না।
فَلْيَأْتُوا۟ بِحَدِيثٍ مِّثْلِهِۦٓ إِن كَانُوا۟ صَٰدِقِينَ
Let them then produce a recital like unto it, - If (it be) they speak the truth!
তাহলে তারা এর মতো কোনো বাণী নিয়ে আসুক, যদি তারা সত্যবাদী হয়।
أَمْ خُلِقُوا۟ مِنْ غَيْرِ شَىْءٍ أَمْ هُمُ ٱلْخَٰلِقُونَ
Were they created of nothing, or were they themselves the creators?
তারা কি কোনো কিছু ছাড়াই সৃষ্টি হয়েছে, নাকি তারাই স্রষ্টা?
أَمْ خَلَقُوا۟ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ بَل لَّا يُوقِنُونَ
Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, they have no firm belief.
নাকি তারা আকাশসমূহ ও পৃথিবী সৃষ্টি করেছে? বরং তারা দৃঢ় বিশ্বাস করে না।
أَمْ عِندَهُمْ خَزَآئِنُ رَبِّكَ أَمْ هُمُ ٱلْمُصَۣيْطِرُونَ
Or are the Treasures of thy Lord with them, or are they the managers (of affairs)?
নাকি তোমার পালনকর্তার ভাণ্ডারসমূহ তাদের কাছে আছে, নাকি তারাই নিয়ন্ত্রণকারী?
أَمْ لَهُمْ سُلَّمٌ يَسْتَمِعُونَ فِيهِ فَلْيَأْتِ مُسْتَمِعُهُم بِسُلْطَٰنٍ مُّبِينٍ
Or have they a ladder, by which they can (climb up to heaven and) listen (to its secrets)? Then let (such a) listener of theirs produce a manifest proof.
নাকি তাদের কোনো সিঁড়ি আছে, যাতে তারা উঠে শোনে? তাহলে তাদের শ্রোতা সুস্পষ্ট প্রমাণ নিয়ে আসুক।
أَمْ لَهُ ٱلْبَنَٰتُ وَلَكُمُ ٱلْبَنُونَ
Or has He only daughters and ye have sons?
নাকি তাঁর জন্য কন্যাসন্তান, আর তোমাদের জন্য পুত্রসন্তান?
أَمْ تَسْـَٔلُهُمْ أَجْرًا فَهُم مِّن مَّغْرَمٍ مُّثْقَلُونَ
Or is it that thou dost ask for a reward, so that they are burdened with a load of debt? -
নাকি তুমি তাদের কাছে কোনো পারিশ্রমিক চাও, ফলে তারা ঋণের বোঝায় ভারাক্রান্ত?
أَمْ عِندَهُمُ ٱلْغَيْبُ فَهُمْ يَكْتُبُونَ
Or that the Unseen in it their hands, and they write it down?
নাকি তাদের কাছে অদৃশ্যের জ্ঞান আছে, ফলে তারা তা লিখে রাখে?
أَمْ يُرِيدُونَ كَيْدًا فَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلْمَكِيدُونَ
Or do they intend a plot (against thee)? But those who defy Allah are themselves involved in a Plot!
নাকি তারা কোনো ষড়যন্ত্র করতে চায়? অথচ যারা অবিশ্বাস করেছে, তারাই ষড়যন্ত্রের শিকার হবে।
أَمْ لَهُمْ إِلَٰهٌ غَيْرُ ٱللَّهِ سُبْحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ
Or have they a god other than Allah? Exalted is Allah far above the things they associate with Him!
নাকি ছাড়া তাদের অন্য কোনো উপাস্য আছে? তারা যাদের শরিক করে, তা থেকে পবিত্র।
وَإِن يَرَوْا۟ كِسْفًا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ سَاقِطًا يَقُولُوا۟ سَحَابٌ مَّرْكُومٌ
Were they to see a piece of the sky falling (on them), they would (only) say: "Clouds gathered in heaps!"
উহারা আকাশের কোন খণ্ড ভাঙ্গিয়া পড়িতে দেখিলে বলিবে, ‘ইহা তো এক পুঞ্জীভূত মেঘ।’
فَذَرْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يُلَٰقُوا۟ يَوْمَهُمُ ٱلَّذِى فِيهِ يُصْعَقُونَ
So leave them alone until they encounter that Day of theirs, wherein they shall (perforce) swoon (with terror), -
উহাদের উপেক্ষা করিয়া চল সেই দিন পর্যন্ত যেদিন উহারা বজ্রাঘাতে হতচেতন হইবে।
يَوْمَ لَا يُغْنِى عَنْهُمْ كَيْدُهُمْ شَيْـًٔا وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ
The Day when their plotting will avail them nothing and no help shall be given them.
সেদিন উহাদের ষড়যন্ত্র কোন কাজে আসিবে না এবং উহাদেরকে সাহায্যও করা হইবে না।
وَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ عَذَابًا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
And verily, for those who do wrong, there is another punishment besides this: But most of them understand not.
ইহা ছাড়া আরও শাস্তি রহিয়াছে জালিমদের জন্য। কিন্তু উহাদের অধিকাংশই তাহা জানে না।
وَٱصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ فَإِنَّكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ
Now await in patience the command of thy Lord: for verily thou art in Our eyes: and celebrate the praises of thy Lord the while thou standest forth,
ধৈর্য ধারণ কর তোমার প্রতিপালকের নির্দেশের অপেক্ষায়; তুমি আমার চক্ষুর সামনেই রহিয়াছ। তুমি তোমার প্রতিপালকের সপ্রশংস পবিত্রতা ও মহিমা ঘোষণা কর যখন তুমি শয্যা ত্যাগ কর,
وَمِنَ ٱلَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْهُ وَإِدْبَٰرَ ٱلنُّجُومِ
And for part of the night also praise thou Him, - and at the retreat of the stars!
এবং তাঁহার পবিত্রতা ঘোষণা কর রাত্রিকালে ও তারকার অস্তগমনের পর।
