বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
কসম নির্মমভাবে (কাফিরদের রূহ) উৎপাটনকারীদের।* * ১-৫ নং আয়াতে বিভিন্ন কাজে নিয়োজিত ফেরেশতাদের কসম করা হয়েছে।
Pickthall
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. By those who drag forth to destruction,
Shakir
I swear by the angels who violently pull out the souls of the wicked,

وَٱلنَّٰزِعَٰتِ غَرْقًا
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
আর কসম সহজভাবে বন্ধনমুক্তকারীদের।
Pickthall
By the meteors rushing,
Shakir
And by those who gently draw out the souls of the blessed,
Word by word
وَٱلنَّٰشِطَٰتِ نَشْطًا
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
আর কসম দ্রুতগতিতে সন্তরণকারীদের।
Pickthall
By the lone stars floating,
Shakir
And by those who float in space,
Word by word
وَٱلسَّٰبِحَٰتِ سَبْحًا
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
আর দ্রুতবেগে অগ্রসরমানদের।
Pickthall
By the angels hastening,
Shakir
Then those who are foremost going ahead,
Word by word
فَٱلسَّٰبِقَٰتِ سَبْقًا
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
অতঃপর কসম সকল কার্যনির্বাহকারীদের।
Pickthall
And those who govern the event,
Shakir
Then those who regulate the affair.

فَٱلْمُدَبِّرَٰتِ أَمْرًا
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
সেদিন কম্পনকারী* প্রকম্পিত করবে। *অর্থাৎ প্রথম শিংগাধ্বনি।
Pickthall
On the day when the first trump resoundeth.
Shakir
The day on which the quaking one shall quake,

يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ ٱلرَّاجِفَةُ
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
তাকে অনুসরণ করবে পরবর্তী কম্পনকারী।* *দ্বিতীয় শিংগাধ্বনি।
Pickthall
And the second followeth it,

What must happen afterwards shall follow it.

تَتْبَعُهَا ٱلرَّادِفَةُ
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
সেদিন অনেক হৃদয় ভীত-সন্ত্রস্ত হবে।
Pickthall
On that day hearts beat painfully
Shakir
Hearts on that day shall palpitate,

قُلُوبٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَاجِفَةٌ
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
তাদের দৃষ্টিসমূহ নত হবে।

While eyes are downcast
Shakir
Their eyes cast down.
Word by word
أَبْصَٰرُهَا خَٰشِعَةٌ
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
তারা বলে, ‘আমরা কি পূর্বাবস্থায় প্রত্যাবর্তিত হবই,
Pickthall
(Now) they are saying: Shall we really be restored to our first state
Shakir
They say: Shall we indeed be restored to (our) first state?

يَقُولُونَ أَءِنَّا لَمَرْدُودُونَ فِى ٱلْحَافِرَةِ
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
যখন আমরা চূর্ণ-বিচূর্ণ হাড় হয়ে যাব’?
Pickthall
Even after we are crumbled bones ?
Shakir
What! when we are rotten bones?

أَءِذَا كُنَّا عِظَٰمًا نَّخِرَةً
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
তারা বলে, ‘তাহলে তা তো এক ক্ষতিকর প্রত্যাবর্তন’।
Pickthall
They say: Then that would be a vain proceeding.
Shakir
They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss.

قَالُوا۟ تِلْكَ إِذًا كَرَّةٌ خَاسِرَةٌ
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
আর ওটা তো কেবল এক বিকট আওয়াজ।
Pickthall
Surely it will need but one shout,
Shakir
But it shall be only a single cry,

فَإِنَّمَا هِىَ زَجْرَةٌ وَٰحِدَةٌ
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
তৎক্ষনাৎ তারা ভূ-পৃষ্ঠে উপস্থিত হবে।
Pickthall
And lo! they will be awakened.
Shakir
When lo! they shall be wakeful.

فَإِذَا هُم بِٱلسَّاهِرَةِ
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
মূসার বৃত্তান্ত তোমার কাছে পৌঁছেছে কি?
Pickthall
Hath there come unto thee the history of Moses ?
Shakir
Has not there come to you the story of Musa?

هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ مُوسَىٰٓ
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
যখন তার রব তাকে পবিত্র তুওয়া উপত্যকায় ডেকেছিলেন,
Pickthall
How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa,
Shakir
When his Lord called upon him in the holy valley, twice,

إِذْ نَادَىٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ بِٱلْوَادِ ٱلْمُقَدَّسِ طُوًى
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
‘ফির‘আউনের কাছে যাও, নিশ্চয় সে সীমালংঘন করেছে’।
Pickthall
(Saying:) Go thou unto Pharaoh - Lo! he hath rebelled -
Shakir
Go to Firon, surely he has become inordinate.

ٱذْهَبْ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّهُۥ طَغَىٰ
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
অতঃপর বল ‘তোমার কি ইচ্ছা আছে যে, তুমি পবিত্র হবে’?
Pickthall
And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace) ?
Shakir
Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself:

فَقُلْ هَل لَّكَ إِلَىٰٓ أَن تَزَكَّىٰ
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
‘আর আমি তোমাকে তোমার রবের দিকে পথ দেখাব, যাতে তুমি তাঁকে ভয় কর?’
Pickthall
Then I will guide thee to thy Lord and thou shalt fear (Him).
Shakir
And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear.

وَأَهْدِيَكَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَتَخْشَىٰ
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
অতঃপর মূসা তাকে বিরাট নিদর্শন দেখাল।
Pickthall
And he showed him the tremendous token.
Shakir
So he showed him the mighty sign.

فَأَرَىٰهُ ٱلْءَايَةَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
কিন্তু সে অস্বীকার করল এবং অমান্য করল।
Pickthall
But he denied and disobeyed,
Shakir
But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed.

فَكَذَّبَ وَعَصَىٰ
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
তারপর সে ফাসাদ করার চেষ্টায় প্রস্থান করল।
Pickthall
Then turned he away in haste,
Shakir
Then he went back hastily.

ثُمَّ أَدْبَرَ يَسْعَىٰ
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
অতঃপর সে লোকদেরকে একত্র করে ঘোষণা দিল।

Then gathered he and summoned
Shakir
Then he gathered (men) and called out.

فَحَشَرَ فَنَادَىٰ
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
আর বলল, ‘আমিই তোমাদের সর্বোচ্চ রব’।
Pickthall
And proclaimed: "I (Pharaoh) am your Lord the Highest."
Shakir
Then he said: I am your lord, the most high.

فَقَالَ أَنَا۠ رَبُّكُمُ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
অবশেষে তাকে ও দুনিয়ার আযাবে পাকড়াও করলেন।
Pickthall
So Allah seized him (and made him) an example for the after (life) and for the former.
Shakir
So Allah seized him with the punishment of the hereafter and the former life.

فَأَخَذَهُ ٱللَّهُ نَكَالَ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ وَٱلْأُولَىٰٓ
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
নিশ্চয় যে ভয় করে তার জন্য এতে শিক্ষা রয়েছে।
Pickthall
Lo! herein is indeed a lesson for him who feareth.
Shakir
Most surely there is in this a lesson to him who fears.

إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَعِبْرَةً لِّمَن يَخْشَىٰٓ
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
তোমাদেরকে সৃষ্টি করা অধিক কঠিন, না আসমান সৃষ্টি? তিনি তা বানিয়েছেন।
Pickthall
Are ye the harder to create, or is the heaven that He built ?
Shakir
Are you the harder to create or the heaven? He made it.

ءَأَنتُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَمِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ بَنَىٰهَا
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
তিনি এর ছাদকে উচ্চ করেছেন এবং তাকে সুসম্পন্ন করেছেন।
Pickthall
He raised the height thereof and ordered it;
Shakir
He raised high its height, then put it into a right good state.

رَفَعَ سَمْكَهَا فَسَوَّىٰهَا
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
আর তিনি এর রাতকে অন্ধকারাচ্ছন্ন করেছেন এবং এর দিবালোক প্রকাশ করেছেন।
Pickthall
And He made dark the night thereof, and He brought forth the morn thereof.
Shakir
And He made dark its night and brought out its light.

وَأَغْطَشَ لَيْلَهَا وَأَخْرَجَ ضُحَىٰهَا
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
এরপর তিনি যমীনকে বিস্তীর্ণ করেছেন।
Pickthall
And after that He spread the earth,
Shakir
And the earth, He expanded it after that.

وَٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ دَحَىٰهَآ
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
তিনি তার ভিতর থেকে বের করেছেন তার পানি ও তার তৃণভূমি।
Pickthall
And produced therefrom the water thereof and the pasture thereof,
Shakir
He brought forth from it its water and its pasturage.

أَخْرَجَ مِنْهَا مَآءَهَا وَمَرْعَىٰهَا
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
আর পর্বতগুলোকে তিনি দৃঢ়ভাবে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করেছেন।
Pickthall
And He made fast the hills,
Shakir
And the mountains, He made them firm,

وَٱلْجِبَالَ أَرْسَىٰهَا
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
তোমাদের ও তোমাদের চতুষ্পদ জন্তুগুলোর জীবনোপকরণস্বরূপ।
Pickthall
A provision for you and for your cattle.
Shakir
A provision for you and for your cattle.

مَتَٰعًا لَّكُمْ وَلِأَنْعَٰمِكُمْ
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
অতঃপর যখন মহাপ্রলয় আসবে।
Pickthall
But when the great disaster cometh,
Shakir
But when the great predominating calamity comes;
Word by word
فَإِذَا جَآءَتِ ٱلطَّآمَّةُ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
সেদিন মানুষ স্মরণ করবে তা, যা সে চেষ্টা করেছে।
Pickthall
The day when man will call to mind his (whole) endeavour,
Shakir
The day on which man shall recollect what he strove after,

يَوْمَ يَتَذَكَّرُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ مَا سَعَىٰ
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
আর জাহান্নামকে প্রকাশ করা হবে তার জন্য যে দেখতে পায়।
Pickthall
And hell will stand forth visible to him who seeth,
Shakir
And the hell shall be made manifest to him who sees

وَبُرِّزَتِ ٱلْجَحِيمُ لِمَن يَرَىٰ
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
সুতরাং যে সীমালঙ্ঘন করে।
Pickthall
Then, as for him who rebelled
Shakir
Then as for him who is inordinate,
Word by word
فَأَمَّا مَن طَغَىٰ
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
আর দুনিয়ার জীবনকে প্রাধান্য দেয়,
Pickthall
And chose the life of the world,
Shakir
And prefers the life of this world,
Word by word
وَءَاثَرَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
নিশ্চয় জাহান্নাম হবে তার আবাসস্থল।
Pickthall
Lo! hell will be his home.
Shakir
Then surely the hell, that is the abode.

فَإِنَّ ٱلْجَحِيمَ هِىَ ٱلْمَأْوَىٰ
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
আর যে স্বীয় রবের সামনে দাঁড়ানোকে ভয় করে এবং কুপ্রবৃত্তি থেকে নিজকে বিরত রাখে,
Pickthall
But as for him who feared to stand before his Lord and restrained his soul from lust,
Shakir
And as for him who fears to stand in the presence of his Lord and forbids the soul from low desires,

وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ وَنَهَى ٱلنَّفْسَ عَنِ ٱلْهَوَىٰ
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
নিশ্চয় জান্নাত হবে তার আবাসস্থল।
Pickthall
Lo! the Garden will be his home.
Shakir
Then surely the garden - - that is the abode.

فَإِنَّ ٱلْجَنَّةَ هِىَ ٱلْمَأْوَىٰ
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
তারা তোমাকে কিয়ামত সম্পর্কে জিজ্ঞাসা করে, ‘তা কখন ঘটবে’?
Pickthall
They ask thee of the Hour: when will it come to port ?
Shakir
They ask you about the hour, when it will come.

يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلسَّاعَةِ أَيَّانَ مُرْسَىٰهَا
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
তা উল্লেখ করার কি জ্ঞান তোমার আছে?
Pickthall
Why (ask they) ? What hast thou to tell thereof ?
Shakir
About what! You are one to remind of it.

فِيمَ أَنتَ مِن ذِكْرَىٰهَآ
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
এর প্রকৃত জ্ঞান তোমার রবের কাছেই।
Pickthall
Unto thy Lord belongeth (knowledge of) the term thereof.
Shakir
To your Lord is the goal of it.
Word by word
إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ مُنتَهَىٰهَآ
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
তুমিতো কেবল তাকেই সতর্ককারী, যে একে ভয় করে ।
Pickthall
Thou art but a warner unto him who feareth it.
Shakir
You are only a warner to him who would fear it.

إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُنذِرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰهَا
বয়ান ফাউন্ডেশন
যেদিন তারা তা দেখবে, সেদিন তাদের মনে হবে, যেন তারা (দুনিয়ায়) এক সন্ধ্যা বা এক সকালের বেশী অবস্থান করেনি।
Pickthall
On the day when they behold it, it will be as if they had but tarried for an evening or the morn thereof.
Shakir
On the day that they see it, it will be as though they had not tarried but the latter part of a day or the early part of it.

كَأَنَّهُمْ يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَهَا لَمْ يَلْبَثُوٓا۟ إِلَّا عَشِيَّةً أَوْ ضُحَىٰهَا
