Chapter 50, 45 verses
কাফ; মর্যাদাপূর্ণ কুরআনের কসম।
Qaf. By the honored Qur'an...
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. Qaf. By the Glorious Qur'an,
قٓ وَٱلْقُرْءَانِ ٱلْمَجِيدِ
বরং তারা বিস্মিত হয়েছে যে, তাদের মধ্য থেকে একজন সতর্ককারী তাদের কাছে এসেছে। অতঃপর কাফিররা বলল, ‘এতো এক বিস্ময়কর বস্তু’!
But they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say, "This is an amazing thing.
Nay, but they marvel that a warner of their own hath come unto them; and the disbelievers say: This is a strange thing:
بَلْ عَجِبُوٓا۟ أَن جَآءَهُم مُّنذِرٌ مِّنْهُمْ فَقَالَ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ هَٰذَا شَىْءٌ عَجِيبٌ
‘আমরা যখন মারা যাব এবং মাটিতে পরিণত হব তখনো কি (আমরা পুনরুত্থিত হব)? এ ফিরে যাওয়া সুদূরপরাহত’।
When we have died and have become dust, [we will return to life]? That is a distant return."
When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be brought back again) ? That would be a far return!
أَءِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا ذَٰلِكَ رَجْعٌۢ بَعِيدٌ
অবশ্যই আমি জানি মাটি তাদের থেকে যতটুকু ক্ষয় করে। আর আমার কাছে আছে অধিক সংরক্ষণকারী কিতাব।
We know what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a retaining record.
We know that which the earth taketh of them, and with Us is a recording Book.
قَدْ عَلِمْنَا مَا تَنقُصُ ٱلْأَرْضُ مِنْهُمْ وَعِندَنَا كِتَٰبٌ حَفِيظٌۢ
বরং তারা সত্যকে অস্বীকার করেছে, যখনই তাদের কাছে সত্য এসেছে। অতএব তারা সংশয়যুক্ত বিষয়ের মধ্যে রয়েছে।
But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused condition.
Nay, but they have denied the truth when it came unto them, therefor they are now in troubled case.
بَلْ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِٱلْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَهُمْ فَهُمْ فِىٓ أَمْرٍ مَّرِيجٍ
তারা কি তাদের উপরে আসমানের দিকে তাকায় না, কিভাবে আমি তা বানিয়েছি এবং তা সুশোভিত করেছি? আর তাতে কোন ফাটল নেই।
Have they not looked at the heaven above them - how We structured it and adorned it and [how] it has no rifts?
Have they not then observed the sky above them, how We have constructed it and beautified it, and how there are no rifts therein ?
أَفَلَمْ يَنظُرُوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَوْقَهُمْ كَيْفَ بَنَيْنَٰهَا وَزَيَّنَّٰهَا وَمَا لَهَا مِن فُرُوجٍ
আর আমি যমীনকে বিস্তৃত করেছি, তাতে পর্বতমালা স্থাপন করেছি এবং তাতে প্রত্যেক প্রকারের সুদৃশ্য উদ্ভিদ উদগত করেছি।
And the earth - We spread it out and cast therein firmly set mountains and made grow therein [something] of every beautiful kind,
And the earth have We spread out, and have flung firm hills therein, and have caused of every lovely kind to grow thereon,
وَٱلْأَرْضَ مَدَدْنَٰهَا وَأَلْقَيْنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ وَأَنۢبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍۭ بَهِيجٍ
অভিমুখী প্রতিটি বান্দার জন্য জ্ঞান ও উপদেশ হিসেবে।
Giving insight and a reminder for every servant who turns [to Allah].
A vision and a reminder for every penitent slave.
تَبْصِرَةً وَذِكْرَىٰ لِكُلِّ عَبْدٍ مُّنِيبٍ
আর আমি আসমান থেকে বরকতময় পানি নাযিল করেছি। অতঃপর তা দ্বারা আমি উৎপন্ন করি বাগ-বাগিচা ও কর্তনযোগ্য শস্যদানা।
And We have sent down blessed rain from the sky and made grow thereby gardens and grain from the harvest
And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops,
وَنَزَّلْنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً مُّبَٰرَكًا فَأَنۢبَتْنَا بِهِۦ جَنَّٰتٍ وَحَبَّ ٱلْحَصِيدِ
আর সমুন্নত খেজুরগাছ, যাতে আছে গুচ্ছ গুচ্ছ খেজুর ছড়া,
And lofty palm trees having fruit arranged in layers -
And lofty date - palms with ranged clusters,
وَٱلنَّخْلَ بَاسِقَٰتٍ لَّهَا طَلْعٌ نَّضِيدٌ
আমার বান্দাদের জন্য রিয্কস্বরূপ। আর আমি পানি দ্বারা মৃত শহর সঞ্জীবিত করি। এভাবেই উত্থান ঘটবে।
As provision for the servants, and We have given life thereby to a dead land. Thus is the resurrection.
Provision (made) for men; and therewith We quicken a dead land. Even so will be the resurrection of the dead.
رِّزْقًا لِّلْعِبَادِ وَأَحْيَيْنَا بِهِۦ بَلْدَةً مَّيْتًا كَذَٰلِكَ ٱلْخُرُوجُ
তাদের পূর্বে সত্য প্রত্যাখ্যান করেছিল নূহের সম্প্রদায়, রাস্ এর অধিবাসী ও সামূদ সম্প্রদায়।
The people of Noah denied before them, and the companions of the well and Thamud
The folk of Noah denied (the truth) before them, and (so did) the dwellers at Ar - Rass and (the tribe of) Thamud,
كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلرَّسِّ وَثَمُودُ
‘আদ, ফির‘আউন ও লূত সম্প্রদায়।
And 'Aad and Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot
And (the tribe of) A'ad, and Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot,
وَعَادٌ وَفِرْعَوْنُ وَإِخْوَٰنُ لُوطٍ
আইকার অধিবাসী ও তুব্বা‘ সম্প্রদায়। সকলেই রাসূলদেরকে মিথ্যাবাদী বলেছিল।
And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba'. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled.
And the dwellers in the wood, and the folk of Tubb'a: every one denied their messengers, therefor My threat took effect.
وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْأَيْكَةِ وَقَوْمُ تُبَّعٍ كُلٌّ كَذَّبَ ٱلرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ وَعِيدِ
আমি কি প্রথমবার সৃষ্টি করেই ক্লান্ত হয়ে পড়েছি? বরং তারা নতুন সৃষ্টির বিষয়ে সন্দেহে নিপতিত।
Did We fail in the first creation? But they are in confusion over a new creation.
Were We then worn out by the first creation ? Yet they are in doubt about a new creation.
أَفَعَيِينَا بِٱلْخَلْقِ ٱلْأَوَّلِ بَلْ هُمْ فِى لَبْسٍ مِّنْ خَلْقٍ جَدِيدٍ
আর অবশ্যই আমি মানুষকে সৃষ্টি করেছি এবং তার প্রবৃত্তি তাকে যে কুমন্ত্রণা দেয় তাও আমি জানি। আর আমি* তার গলার ধমনী হতেও অধিক কাছে। * ইবনে কাসীর বলেন, এখানে نحن বলে আল্লাহর ফেরেশতাদেরকে বুঝানো হয়েছে।
And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein
We verily created man and We know what his soul whispereth to him, and We are nearer to him than his jugular vein.
وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ وَنَعْلَمُ مَا تُوَسْوِسُ بِهِۦ نَفْسُهُۥ وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ حَبْلِ ٱلْوَرِيدِ
যখন ডানে ও বামে বসা দু’জন লিপিবদ্ধকারী পরস্পর গ্রহণ করবে।
When the two receivers receive, seated on the right and on the left.
When the two Receivers receive (him), seated on the right hand and on the left,
إِذْ يَتَلَقَّى ٱلْمُتَلَقِّيَانِ عَنِ ٱلْيَمِينِ وَعَنِ ٱلشِّمَالِ قَعِيدٌ
সে যে কথাই উচ্চারণ করে তার কাছে সদা উপস্থিত সংরক্ষণকারী রয়েছে।
Man does not utter any word except that with him is an observer prepared [to record].
He uttereth no word but there is with him an observer ready.
مَّا يَلْفِظُ مِن قَوْلٍ إِلَّا لَدَيْهِ رَقِيبٌ عَتِيدٌ
আর মৃত্যুর যন্ত্রণা যথাযথই আসবে। যা থেকে তুমি পলায়ন করতে চাইতে।
And the intoxication of death will bring the truth; that is what you were trying to avoid.
And the agony of death cometh in truth. (And it is said unto him): This is that which thou wast wont to shun.
وَجَآءَتْ سَكْرَةُ ٱلْمَوْتِ بِٱلْحَقِّ ذَٰلِكَ مَا كُنتَ مِنْهُ تَحِيدُ
আর শিংগায় ফুঁক দেয়া হবে। এটাই হল প্রতিশ্রুত দিন।
And the Horn will be blown. That is the Day of [carrying out] the threat.
And the trumpet is blown. This is the threatened Day.
وَنُفِخَ فِى ٱلصُّورِ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمُ ٱلْوَعِيدِ
আর প্রত্যেক ব্যক্তি উপস্থিত হবে, তার সাথে থাকবে একজন চালক ও একজন সাক্ষী।
And every soul will come, with it a driver and a witness.
And every soul cometh, along with it a driver and a witness.
وَجَآءَتْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّعَهَا سَآئِقٌ وَشَهِيدٌ
অবশ্যই তুমি এ দিবস সম্পর্কে উদাসীন ছিলে, অতএব আমি তোমার পর্দা তোমার থেকে উন্মোচন করে দিলাম। ফলে আজ তোমার দৃষ্টি খুব প্রখর।
[It will be said], "You were certainly in unmindfulness of this, and We have removed from you your cover, so your sight, this Day, is sharp."
(And unto the evil - doer it is said): Thou wast in heedlessness of this. Now We have removed from thee thy covering, and piercing is thy sight this day.
لَّقَدْ كُنتَ فِى غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ هَٰذَا فَكَشَفْنَا عَنكَ غِطَآءَكَ فَبَصَرُكَ ٱلْيَوْمَ حَدِيدٌ
আর তার সাথী (ফেরেশতা) বলবে, এই তো আমার কাছে (আমল নামা) প্রস্তুত।
And his companion, [the angel], will say, "This [record] is what is with me, prepared."
And (unto the evil - doer) his comrade saith: This is that which I have ready (as testimony).
وَقَالَ قَرِينُهُۥ هَٰذَا مَا لَدَىَّ عَتِيدٌ
তোমরা জাহান্নামে নিক্ষেপ কর প্রত্যেক উদ্ধত কাফিরকে,
[Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate ,
(And it is said): Do ye twain hurl to hell each rebel ingrate,
أَلْقِيَا فِى جَهَنَّمَ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ عَنِيدٍ
কল্যাণকর কাজে প্রবল বাধাদানকারী সীমালঙ্ঘনকারী, সন্দেহ পোষণকারীকে।
Preventer of good, aggressor, and doubter,
Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter,
مَّنَّاعٍ لِّلْخَيْرِ مُعْتَدٍ مُّرِيبٍ
যে আল্লাহর সাথে অন্য গ্রহণ করেছিল, তোমরা তাকে কঠিন আযাবে নিক্ষেপ কর।
Who made [as equal] with Allah another deity; then throw him into the severe punishment."
Who setteth up another god along with Allah. Do ye twain hurl him to the dreadful doom.
ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَأَلْقِيَاهُ فِى ٱلْعَذَابِ ٱلشَّدِيدِ
তার সঙ্গী (শয়তান) বলবে, ‘হে আমাদের ‘রব’, আমি তাকে বিদ্রোহী করে তুলিনি, বরং সে নিজেই ছিল সুদূর পথভ্রষ্টতার মধ্যে’।
His [devil] companion will say, "Our Lord, I did not make him transgress, but he [himself] was in extreme error."
His comrade saith: Our Lord! I did not cause him to rebel, but he was (himself) far gone in error.
قَالَ قَرِينُهُۥ رَبَّنَا مَآ أَطْغَيْتُهُۥ وَلَٰكِن كَانَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍۭ بَعِيدٍ
বলবেন, ‘তোমরা আমার কাছে বাক-বিতন্ডা করো না। অবশ্যই আমি পূর্বেই তোমাদেরকে সতর্ক করে দিয়েছিলাম’।
[Allah] will say, "Do not dispute before Me, while I had already presented to you the warning.
He saith: Contend not in My presence, when I had already proffered unto you the warning.
قَالَ لَا تَخْتَصِمُوا۟ لَدَىَّ وَقَدْ قَدَّمْتُ إِلَيْكُم بِٱلْوَعِيدِ
‘আমার কাছে কথা রদবদল হয় না, আর আমি বান্দার প্রতি যুলমকারীও নই’।
The word will not be changed with Me, and never will I be unjust to the servants."
The sentence that cometh from Me cannot be changed, and I am in no wise a tyrant unto the slaves.
مَا يُبَدَّلُ ٱلْقَوْلُ لَدَىَّ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ بِظَلَّٰمٍ لِّلْعَبِيدِ
সেদিন আমি জাহান্নামকে বলব, ‘তুমি কি পরিপূর্ণ হয়েছ’? আর সে বলবে, ‘আরো বেশি আছে কি’?
On the Day We will say to Hell, "Have you been filled?" and it will say, "Are there some more,"
On the day when We say unto hell: Art thou filled ? and it saith: Can there be more to come ?
يَوْمَ نَقُولُ لِجَهَنَّمَ هَلِ ٱمْتَلَأْتِ وَتَقُولُ هَلْ مِن مَّزِيدٍ
আর জান্নাতকে মুত্তাকীদের অদূরে, কাছেই আনা হবে।
And Paradise will be brought near to the righteous, not far,
And the Garden is brought nigh for those who kept from evil, no longer distant.
وَأُزْلِفَتِ ٱلْجَنَّةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ غَيْرَ بَعِيدٍ
এটাই, যার ওয়াদা তোমাদেরকে দেয়া হয়েছিল। প্রত্যেক অভিমুখী অধিক সংরক্ষণশীলদের জন্য।
[It will be said], "This is what you were promised - for every returner [to Allah] and keeper [of His covenant]
(And it is said): This is that which ye were promised. (It is) for every penitent and heedful one,
هَٰذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِكُلِّ أَوَّابٍ حَفِيظٍ
যে না দেখেই রহমানকে ভয় করত এবং বিনীত হৃদয়ে উপস্থিত হত।
Who feared the Most Merciful unseen and came with a heart returning [in repentance].
Who feareth the Beneficent in secret and cometh with a contrite heart.
مَّنْ خَشِىَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنَ بِٱلْغَيْبِ وَجَآءَ بِقَلْبٍ مُّنِيبٍ
তোমরা তাতে শান্তির সাথে প্রবেশ কর। এটাই স্থায়িত্বের দিন।
Enter it in peace. This is the Day of Eternity."
Enter it in peace. This is the day of immortality.
ٱدْخُلُوهَا بِسَلَٰمٍ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمُ ٱلْخُلُودِ
তারা যা চাইবে, সেখানে তাদের জন্য তাই থাকবে এবং আমার কাছে রয়েছে আরও অধিক।
They will have whatever they wish therein, and with Us is more.
There they have all that they desire, and there is more with Us.
لَهُم مَّا يَشَآءُونَ فِيهَا وَلَدَيْنَا مَزِيدٌ
আমি তাদের পূর্বে বহু প্রজন্মকে ধ্বংস করে দিয়েছি যারা পাকড়াও করার ক্ষেত্রে এদের তুলনায় ছিল প্রবলতর, তারা দেশ-বিদেশ চষে বেড়াত। তাদের কি কোন পলায়নস্থল ছিল?
And how many a generation before them did We destroy who were greater than them in [striking] power and had explored throughout the lands. Is there any place of escape?
And how many a generation We destroyed before them, who were mightier than these in prowess so that they overran the lands! Had they any place of refuge (when the judgment came) ?
وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هُمْ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُم بَطْشًا فَنَقَّبُوا۟ فِى ٱلْبِلَٰدِ هَلْ مِن مَّحِيصٍ
নিশ্চয় এতে উপদেশ রয়েছে তার জন্য, যার রয়েছে অন্তর অথবা যে নিবিষ্টচিত্তে শ্রবণ করে।
Indeed in that is a reminder for whoever has a heart or who listens while he is present [in mind].
Lo! therein verily is a reminder for him who hath a heart, or giveth ear with full intelligence.
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَذِكْرَىٰ لِمَن كَانَ لَهُۥ قَلْبٌ أَوْ أَلْقَى ٱلسَّمْعَ وَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ
আর অবশ্যই আমি আসমানসমূহ ও যমীন এবং এতদোভয়ের মধ্যস্থিত সবকিছু ছয় দিনে সৃষ্টি করেছি। আর আমাকে কোনরূপ ক্লান্তি স্পর্শ করেনি।
And We did certainly create the heavens and earth and what is between them in six days, and there touched Us no weariness.
And verily We created the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, in six Days, and naught of weariness touched Us.
وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِى سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ وَمَا مَسَّنَا مِن لُّغُوبٍ
অতএব এরা যা বলে, তাতে তুমি ধৈর্যধারণ কর এবং সূর্য উদয়ের পূর্বে ও অস্তমিত হওয়ার পূর্বে তুমি তোমার রবের প্রশংসাসহ তাসবীহ পাঠ কর।
So be patient, [O Muhammad], over what they say and exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting,
Therefor (O Muhammad) bear with what they say, and hymn the praise of thy Lord before the rising and before the setting of the sun;
فَٱصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ ٱلشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ ٱلْغُرُوبِ
এবং রাতের একাংশেও তুমি তাঁর তাসবীহ পাঠ কর এবং সালাতের পশ্চাতেও।
And [in part] of the night exalt Him and after prostration.
And in the night - time hymn His praise, and after the (prescribed) prostrations.
وَمِنَ ٱلَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْهُ وَأَدْبَٰرَ ٱلسُّجُودِ
মনোনিবেশ কর, যেদিন একজন ঘোষক নিকটবর্তী কোন স্থান থেকে ডাকতে থাকবে।
And listen on the Day when the Caller will call out from a place that is near -
And listen on the day when the crier crieth from a near place,
وَٱسْتَمِعْ يَوْمَ يُنَادِ ٱلْمُنَادِ مِن مَّكَانٍ قَرِيبٍ
সেদিন তারা সত্যিসত্যিই মহাচিৎকার শুনবে। সেটিই উত্থিত হবার দিন।
The Day they will hear the blast [of the Horn] in truth. That is the Day of Emergence [from the graves].
The day when they will hear the (Awful) Cry in truth. That is the day of coming forth (from the graves).
يَوْمَ يَسْمَعُونَ ٱلصَّيْحَةَ بِٱلْحَقِّ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمُ ٱلْخُرُوجِ
আমিই জীবন দেই এবং আমিই মৃত্যু ঘটাই, আর আমার দিকেই চূড়ান্ত প্রত্যাবর্তন।
Indeed, it is We who give life and cause death, and to Us is the destination
Lo! We it is Who quicken and give death, and unto Us is the journeying.
إِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْىِۦ وَنُمِيتُ وَإِلَيْنَا ٱلْمَصِيرُ
সেদিন তাদের থেকে যমীন বিদীর্ণ হবে এবং লোকেরা দিগ্বিদিক্ ছুটাছুটি করতে থাকবে। এটি এমন এক সমাবেশ যা আমার পক্ষে অতীব সহজ।
On the Day the earth breaks away from them [and they emerge] rapidly; that is a gathering easy for Us.
On the day when the earth splitteth asunder from them, hastening forth (they come). That is a gathering easy for Us (to make).
يَوْمَ تَشَقَّقُ ٱلْأَرْضُ عَنْهُمْ سِرَاعًا ذَٰلِكَ حَشْرٌ عَلَيْنَا يَسِيرٌ
এরা যা বলে আমি তা সবচেয়ে ভাল জানি। আর তুমি তাদের উপর কোন জোর- জবরদস্তিকারী নও। সুতরাং যে আমার ধমককে ভয় করে তাকে কুরআনের সাহায্যে উপদেশ দাও।
We are most knowing of what they say, and you are not over them a tyrant. But remind by the Qur'an whoever fears My threat.
We are Best Aware of what they say, and thou (O Muhammad) art in no wise a compeller over them. But warn by the Qur'an him who feareth My threat.
نَّحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ وَمَآ أَنتَ عَلَيْهِم بِجَبَّارٍ فَذَكِّرْ بِٱلْقُرْءَانِ مَن يَخَافُ وَعِيدِ
