Chapter 77, 50 verses
কসম কল্যাণের উদ্দেশ্যে প্রেরিত বাতাসের,
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit);
Waalmursalati AAurfan
وَٱلْمُرْسَلَٰتِ عُرْفًا
আর প্রচন্ড বেগে প্রবাহিত ঝঞ্ঝার।
Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts,
FaalAAasifati AAasfan
فَٱلْعَٰصِفَٰتِ عَصْفًا
কসম মেঘমালা ও বৃষ্টি বিক্ষিপ্তকারী বায়ুর,
And scatter (things) far and wide;
Waalnnashirati nashran
وَٱلنَّٰشِرَٰتِ نَشْرًا
আর সুস্পষ্টরূপে পার্থক্যকারীর (আল-কুরআনের আয়াতের)।
Then separate them, one from another,
Faalfariqati farqan
فَٱلْفَٰرِقَٰتِ فَرْقًا
অতঃপর কসম, উপদেশগ্রন্থ আনয়নকারী (ফেরেশতাদের),
Then spread abroad a Message,
Faalmulqiyati thikran
فَٱلْمُلْقِيَٰتِ ذِكْرًا
অজুহাত দূরকারী ও সতর্ককারী।
Whether of Justification or of Warning; -
AAuthran aw nuthran
عُذْرًا أَوْ نُذْرًا
তোমাদেরকে যা কিছুর ওয়াদা দেয়া হয়েছে তা অবশ্যই ঘটবে।
Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass.
Innama tooAAadoona lawaqiAAun
إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَٰقِعٌ
যখন তারকারাজি আলোহীন হবে,
Then when the stars become dim;
Faitha alnnujoomu tumisat
فَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ
আর আকাশ বিদীর্ণ হবে,
When the heaven is cleft asunder;
Waitha alssamao furijat
وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ فُرِجَتْ
আর যখন পাহাড়গুলি চূর্ণবিচূর্ণ হবে,
When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust;
Waitha aljibalu nusifat
وَإِذَا ٱلْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ
আর যখন রাসূলদেরকে নির্ধারিত সময়ে উপস্থিত করা হবে;
And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect); -
Waitha alrrusulu oqqitat
وَإِذَا ٱلرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتْ
কোন্ দিনের জন্য এসব স্থগিত করা হয়েছিল?
For what Day are these (portents) deferred?
Liayyi yawmin ojjilat
لِأَىِّ يَوْمٍ أُجِّلَتْ
বিচার দিনের জন্য।
For the Day of Sorting out.
Liyawmi alfasli
لِيَوْمِ ٱلْفَصْلِ
আর কিসে তোমাকে জানাবে বিচার দিবস কী?
And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out?
Wama adraka ma yawmu alfasli
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ
মিথ্যারোপকারীদের জন্য সেদিনের দুর্ভোগ!
Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!
Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
আমি কি পূর্ববর্তীদেরকে ধ্বংস করিনি?
Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)?
Alam nuhliki alawwaleena
أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
তারপর পরবর্তীদেরকে তাদের অনুসারী বানাই।
So shall We make later (generations) follow them.
Thumma nutbiAAuhumu alakhireena
ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ
অপরাধীদের সাথে আমি এমনই করে থাকি।
Thus do We deal with men of sin.
Kathalika nafAAalu bialmujrimeena
كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
মিথ্যারোপকারীদের জন্য সেদিনের ধ্বংস!
Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!
Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
আমি কি তোমাদেরকে তুচ্ছ পানি দিয়ে সৃষ্টি করিনি?
Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable? -
Alam nakhluqkum min main maheenin
أَلَمْ نَخْلُقكُّم مِّن مَّآءٍ مَّهِينٍ
অতঃপর তা আমি রেখেছি সুরক্ষিত আধারে
The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed,
FajaAAalnahu fee qararin makeenin
فَجَعَلْنَٰهُ فِى قَرَارٍ مَّكِينٍ
একটি নির্দিষ্ট সময় পর্যন্ত।
For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)?
Ila qadarin maAAloomin
إِلَىٰ قَدَرٍ مَّعْلُومٍ
অতঃপর আমি পরিমাপ করেছি। আর আমিই উত্তম পরিমাপকারী।
For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things).
Faqadarna faniAAma alqadiroona
فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ ٱلْقَٰدِرُونَ
মিথ্যারোপকারীদের জন্য সেদিনের দুর্ভোগ!
Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth!
Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
আমি কি ভূমিকে ধারণকারী বানাইনি
Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together.
Alam najAAali alarda kifatan
أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ ٱلْأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا
জীবিত ও মৃতদেরকে?
The living and the dead,
Ahyaan waamwatan
أَحْيَآءً وَأَمْوَٰتًا
আর এখানে স্থাপন করেছি সুদৃঢ় ও সুউচ্চ পর্বত এবং তোমাদেরকে পান করিয়েছি সুপেয় পানি।
And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)?
WajaAAalna feeha rawasiya shamikhatin waasqaynakum maan furatan
وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ شَٰمِخَٰتٍ وَأَسْقَيْنَٰكُم مَّآءً فُرَاتًا
মিথ্যারোপকারীদের জন্য সেদিনের দুর্ভোগ!
Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!
Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
(তাদেরকে বলা হবে), তোমরা যা অস্বীকার করতে সেদিকে গমন কর।
(It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false!
Intaliqoo ila ma kuntum bihi tukaththiboona
ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ
যাও তিন শাখা বিশিষ্ট আগুনের ছায়ায়,
"Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns,
Intaliqoo ila thillin thee thalathi shuAAabin
ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ ظِلٍّ ذِى ثَلَٰثِ شُعَبٍ
যা ছায়াদানকারী নয় এবং তা জাহান্নামের জ্বলন্ত অগ্নিশিখার মোকাবেলায় কোন কাজেও আসবে না।
"(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze.
La thaleelin wala yughnee mina allahabi
لَّا ظَلِيلٍ وَلَا يُغْنِى مِنَ ٱللَّهَبِ
নিশ্চয় তা (জাহান্নাম) ছড়াবে প্রাসাদসম স্ফুলিঙ্গ।
"Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts,
Innaha tarmee bishararin kaalqasri
إِنَّهَا تَرْمِى بِشَرَرٍ كَٱلْقَصْرِ
তা যেন হলুদ উষ্ট্রী।
"As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)."
Kaannahu jimalatun sufrun
كَأَنَّهُۥ جِمَٰلَتٌ صُفْرٌ
মিথ্যারোপকারীদের জন্য সেদিনের দুর্ভোগ!
Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!
Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
এটা এমন দিন যেদিন তারা কথা বলবে না।
That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak.
Hatha yawmu la yantiqoona
هَٰذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ
আর তাদেরকে অজুহাত পেশ করার অনুমতিও দেয়া হবে না ।
Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas.
Wala yuthanu lahum fayaAAtathiroona
وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ
মিথ্যারোপকারীদের জন্য সেদিনের ধ্বংস!
Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!
Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
এটি ফয়সালার দিন; তোমাদেরকে ও পূর্ববর্তীদেরকে আমি একত্র করেছি।
That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)!
Hatha yawmu alfasli jamaAAnakum waalawwaleena
هَٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ جَمَعْنَٰكُمْ وَٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
তোমাদের কোন কৌশল থাকলে আমার বিরুদ্ধে প্রয়োগ কর।
Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me!
Fain kana lakum kaydun fakeedooni
فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌ فَكِيدُونِ
মিথ্যারোপকারীদের জন্য সেদিনের দুর্ভোগ!
Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!
Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
নিশ্চয় মুত্তাকীরা থাকবে ছায়া ও ঝর্ণাবহুল স্থানে,
As to the Righteous, they shall be amidst (cool) shades and springs (of water).
Inna almuttaqeena fee thilalin waAAuyoonin
إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى ظِلَٰلٍ وَعُيُونٍ
আর নিজদের বাসনানুযায়ী ফলমূল-এর মধ্যে।
And (they shall have) fruits, - all they desire.
Wafawakiha mimma yashtahoona
وَفَوَٰكِهَ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ
(তাদেরকে বলা হবে) ‘তোমরা যে আমল করতে তার প্রতিদানস্বরূপ তৃপ্তির সাথে পানাহার কর;
"Eat ye and drink ye to your heart's content: for that ye worked (Righteousness).
Kuloo waishraboo haneean bima kuntum taAAmaloona
كُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ هَنِيٓـًٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
সৎকর্মশীলদের আমরা এমন-ই প্রতিদান দিয়ে থাকি।
Thus do We certainly reward the Doers of Good.
Inna kathalika najzee almuhsineena
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
মিথ্যারোপকারীদের জন্য সেদিনের দুর্ভোগ!
Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!
Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
(হে কাফিররা!) তোমরা আহার কর এবং ভোগ কর ক্ষণকাল; নিশ্চয় তোমরা অপরাধী।
(O ye unjust!) Eat ye and enjoy yourselves (but) a little while, for that ye are Sinners.
Kuloo watamattaAAoo qaleelan innakum mujrimoona
كُلُوا۟ وَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجْرِمُونَ
মিথ্যারোপকারীদের জন্য সেদিনের ধ্বংস!
Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!
Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
তাদেরকে যখন বলা হয় ‘রুকূ‘ কর,’ তখন তারা রুকূ‘ করত না।
And when it is said to them, "Prostrate yourselves!" they do not so.
Waitha qeela lahumu irkaAAoo la yarkaAAoona
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱرْكَعُوا۟ لَا يَرْكَعُونَ
মিথ্যারোপকারীদের জন্য সেদিনের দুর্ভোগ!
Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!
Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
সুতরাং কুরআনের পরিবর্তে আর কোন্ বাণীর প্রতি তারা ঈমান আনবে?
Then what Message, after that, will they believe in?
Fabiayyi hadeethin baAAdahu yuminoona
فَبِأَىِّ حَدِيثٍۭ بَعْدَهُۥ يُؤْمِنُونَ
