Chapter 82, 19 verses
যখন ফেটে যাবে আকাশ,
বিসমিল্লাহির রাহমা-নির রাহি-ম ইযাস্ সামা-য়ুন্ ফাত্বোয়ারত্।
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. When the heaven is cleft asunder.
যখন বিক্ষিপ্ত হয়ে খসে পড়বে নক্ষত্ররাজি,
অইযাল্ কাওয়া- কিবুন্ তাছারত্।
And when the stars have fallen and scattered.
যখন ফাটিয়ে ফেলা হবে সমুদ্রগুলো,
অইযাল্ বিহা-রু ফুজজ্বিরাত্।
And when the seas are burst forth.
এবং যখন খুলে দেয়া হবে কবরগুলো,
অইযাল্ কুবূরু বু'ছিরত্।
And when the graves are turned upside down (and bring out their contents)
তখন প্রত্যেক ব্যক্তিই জানতে পারবে, সে কী পাঠিয়েছে সামনের জন্যে, আর কী রেখে এসেছে পেছনে?
'আলিমাত্ নাফ্সুম্ মা-ক্বদ্দামাত্ ওয়াআখ্খারত্
(Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds).
হে মানুষ! কোন্ জিনিস তোমাকে ধোকায় ফেলে রেখেছে তোমার মহান প্রভুর ব্যাপারে?
ইয়া য় আইয়্যুহাল্ ইন্সা-নু মা-র্গরকা বিরব্বিকাল্ কারীমিল্।
O man! What has made you careless about your Lord, the Most Generous?
যিনি সৃষ্টি করেছেন তোমাকে, পূর্ণাংগভাবে সাজিয়েছেন, অতপর গড়ে তুলেছেন সুষম করে?
আল্লাযী খলাক্বকা ফাসাওয়া-কা ফা'আদালাকা
Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion.
এবং যে সুরত - আকৃতিতে চেয়েছেন গঠন করেছেন তোমাকে।
ফী য় আইয়ি ছূরতিম্ মা-শা-য়া রাক্কাবাক্।
In whatever form He willed, He put you together.
না, কখনো নয়, বরং তোমরা শেষ বিচার ও প্রতিদানকেই (শাস্তি আর পুরস্কারকেই) অস্বীকার করছো।
কাল্লা- বাল্ তুকায্যিবূনা বিদ্দীনি
Nay! But you deny Ad-Din (i.e. the Day of Recompense).
জেনে রাখো, অবশ্যি তোমাদের উপর নিযুক্ত রয়েছে পরিদর্শক।
অ ইন্না 'আলাইকুম্ লাহা-ফিজীনা
But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you,
তারা হলো মর্যাদাবান নিবন্ধনকারী (recorder)।
কির-মান্ কা-তিবীনা।
Kiraman (Honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds),
তারা জানে তোমরা যা - ই করো।
ইয়া'লামূনা মা-তাফ্'আলূন্।
They know all that you do.
নিশ্চয়ই সৎ - সত্যপন্থী লোকেরা (সেদিন) থাকবে ভোগ - বিলাসে।
ইন্নাল্ আব্র-র লাফী নাঈ'ম্।
Verily, the Abrar (the pious believers of Islamic Monotheism) will be in Delight (Paradise);
আর সীমালংঘনকারী - পাপিষ্ঠরা থাকবে জাহিমে।
অইন্নাল্ ফুজজ্বা- র লাফী জ্বাহীম্।
And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, polytheists, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell),
তারা প্রবেশ করবে তাতে প্রতিদান দিবসে।
ইয়াছ্লাওনাহা-ইয়াওমাদ্দীন্।
Therein they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense,
সেখান থেকে গর - হাজির থাকার কোনো সুযোগ তাদের থাকবে না।
অমা-হুম্ 'আন্হা- বিগ-য়িবীন্
And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom.
তুমি কিভাবে জানবে, প্রতিদান দিবস কী?
অমা য় আদ্র-কা মা- ইয়াওমুদ্দীনি
And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is?
আবার বলছি তুমি কিভাবে জানবে, প্রতিদান দিবস কী?
ছুম্মা মা য় আদ্র-কা মা-ইয়াওমুদদীন্-।
Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is?
এটা সেই দিন, যেদিন কোনো ব্যক্তির অপর ব্যক্তির জন্যে কিছু করার কোনো ক্ষমতা থাকবেনা। সেদিন সমস্ত কর্তৃত্ব থাকবে একমাত্র আল্লাহর হাতে।
ইয়াওমা লা-তাম্লিকু নাফ্সুল্ লিনাফ্সিন্ শাইয়া- অল্ আম্রু ইয়াওমায়িযিলিল্লা-হ্-।
(It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah.
