এবং শপথ এই নিরাপদ নগরীর,

And by this land made safe;

আমি তো সৃষ্টি করিয়াছি মানুষকে সুন্দরতম গঠনে,

অতঃপর আমি উহাকে হীনতাগ্রস্তদের হীনতমে পরিণত করি -

Then we reduced him to the lowest of the low,

কিন্তু তাহাদেরকে নয় যাহারা ও সৎর্কমপরায়ণ; ইহাদের জন্য তো আছে নিরবচ্ছিন্ন পুরস্কার।
