তুমি কি দেখ নাই, তোমার প্রতিপালক হস্তী - অধিপতিদের প্রতি কী করিয়াছিলেন?
Shakir
Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with the possessors of the elephant?
Saheeh International
Have you not considered, [O Muhammad], how your Lord dealt with the companions of the elephant?

أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصْحَٰبِ ٱلْفِيلِ
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
তিনি কি উহাদের কৌশল ব্যর্থ করিয়া দেন নাই?
Shakir
Did He not cause their war to end in confusion,
Saheeh International
Did He not make their plan into misguidance?

أَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ كَيْدَهُمْ فِى تَضْلِيلٍ

উহাদের বিরুদ্ধে তিনি ঝাঁকে ঝাঁকে পক্ষী প্রেরণ করেন,

And send down (to prey) upon them birds in flocks,
Saheeh International
And He sent against them birds in flocks,

وَأَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا أَبَابِيلَ

যাহারা উহাদের উপর প্রস্তর - কংকর নিক্ষেপ করে।

Casting against them stones of baked clay,
Saheeh International
Striking them with stones of hard clay,

تَرْمِيهِم بِحِجَارَةٍ مِّن سِجِّيلٍ

অতঃপর তিনি উহাদেরকে ভক্ষিত তৃণসদৃশ করেন।
Shakir
So He rendered them like straw eaten up?
Saheeh International
And He made them like eaten straw.
