১ নূন! কলমের শপথ আর শপথ সেগুলোর যা তারা (ফেরেশ্তারা) ছত্রে ছত্রে লিপিবদ্ধ করে।

2 You are not, [O Muhammad], by the favor of your Lord, a madman.

3 And indeed, for you is a reward uninterrupted.

৭ তোমার প্রতিপালক তো সম্যক অবগত আছেন কে তাঁহার পথ হইতে বিচ্যুত হইয়াছে এবং তিনি সম্যক জানেন তাহাদেরকে, যাহারা সৎপথপ্রাপ্ত।

7 Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who has gone astray from His way, and He is most knowing of the [rightly] guided.

৭ তোমার প্রভুই সেই সত্তা, যিনি সর্বাধিক জানেন কারা তাঁর পথ থেকে বিচ্যুত এবং তিনিই তাদের সর্বাধিক জানেন, যারা হিদায়াত প্রাপ্ত।

7 Gewiß, dein Herr weiß sehr wohl, wer von Seinem Weg abirrt, und Er kennt sehr wohl die Rechtgeleiteten.

8 Then do not obey the deniers.

৮ সুতরাং তুমি মিথ্যাবাদীদের আনুগত্য করোনা।

৯ উহারা চায় যে, তুমি নমনীয় হও, তাহা হইলে উহারাও নমনীয় হইবে,

9 They wish that you would soften [in your position], so they would soften [toward you].

৯ তারা চায়, তুমি যদি নমনীয় হও, তবেই তারা নমনীয় হবে।

9 Sie möchten gern, daß du schmeichelst, so daß (auch) sie schmeicheln (können).

15 When Our verses are recited to him, he says, "Legends of the former peoples."

১৫ তার কাছে যখন আমাদের আয়াত তিলাওয়াত করা হয়, সে বলে: ‘এগুলো তো সেকালের কাহিনী।’

15 Wenn ihm Unsere Zeichen verlesen werden, sagt er: "(Es sind) Fabeln der Früheren."

16 We will brand him upon the snout.

১৬ অচিরেই আমরা দাগ লাগিয়ে দেবো তার শুঁড়ে (নাকে)।

17 Indeed, We have tried them as We tried the companions of the garden, when they swore to cut its fruit in the [early] morning

১৭ আমরা তাদের পরীক্ষা করেছি, যেভাবে পরীক্ষা করেছিলাম বাগানওয়ালাদের, যখন তারা কসম খেয়ে বলেছিল তারা সকালে বাগানের ফল পাড়বে,

17 Wir haben sie geprüft, wie Wir die Besitzer des Gartens prüften, als sie schworen, sie würden ihn bei Tagesanbruch abpflücken,

١٧ إِنَّا بَلَوْنَٰهُمْ كَمَا بَلَوْنَآ أَصْحَٰبَ ٱلْجَنَّةِ إِذْ أَقْسَمُوا۟ لَيَصْرِمُنَّهَا مُصْبِحِينَ

১৮ এবং তাহারা ‘ইন্শাআল্লাহ্’ বলে নাই।

18 Without making exception.

১৮ তারা ইনশাল্লাহ (আল্লাহ চাহেন তো) বলেনি।

১৯ অতঃপর তোমার প্রতিপালকের নিকট হইতে এক বিপর্যয় হানা দিল সেই উদ্যানে, যখন উহারা ছিল নিদ্রিত।

19 So there came upon the garden an affliction from your Lord while they were asleep.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
১৯ তারপর তোমার প্রভুর পক্ষ থেকে সেই বাগানের উপর দিয়ে বয়ে গেলো একটি ঝাপটা। তখন তারা ছিলো ঘুমে।

19 Da ging darin Verheerendes von deinem Herrn umher, während sie schliefen,

١٩ فَطَافَ عَلَيْهَا طَآئِفٌ مِّن رَّبِّكَ وَهُمْ نَآئِمُونَ

২০ ফলে উহা দগ্ধ হইয়া কৃষ্ণবর্ণ ধারণ করিল।

20 And it became as though reaped.

২০ ফলে সেই বাগান হয়ে যায় কালো বর্ণ (কয়লার মতো)।

22 [Saying], "Go early to your crop if you would cut the fruit."

২২ ‘যদি তোমরা সকাল সকাল ফল পাড়তে চাও, তবে সকাল সকাল বাগানে চলো।’

২৩ অতঃপর উহারা চলিল নিম্নস্বরে কথা বলিতে বলিতে,

23 So they set out, while lowering their voices,

২৩ তারপর তারা (বাগানের দিকে) চললো নিচু স্বরে (এই) কথা বলতে বলতে:

٢٣ فَٱنطَلَقُوا۟ وَهُمْ يَتَخَٰفَتُونَ

২৪ ‘অদ্য যেন তোমাদের নিকটে কোন অভাবগ্রস্ত ব্যক্তি উহাতে প্রবেশ করিতে না পারে।’

24 [Saying], "There will surely not enter it today upon you [any] poor person."

২৪ আজ যেনো তোমাদের কাছে বাগানে দাখিল না হয় কোনো মিসকিন (অভাবী)।

24 In ihn soll heute ja kein Armer zu euch hineingelangen.

٢٤ أَن لَّا يَدْخُلَنَّهَا ٱلْيَوْمَ عَلَيْكُم مِّسْكِينٌ

২৫ অতঃপর উহারা নিবৃত্ত করিতে সক্ষম - এই বিশ্বাস লইয়া প্রভাতকালে বাগানে যাত্রা করিল।

25 And they went early in determination, [assuming themselves] able.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
২৫ আর তারা ভোরে ভোরেই বাগানে রওয়ানা করলো (মিসকিন) প্রতিরোধ করতে সক্ষম মনে করে।

25 Und sie gingen hin in der Morgenfrühe, zum Verwehren bereit.

২৬ অতঃপর উহারা যখন বাগানের অবস্থা প্রত্যক্ষ করিল, তখন বলিল, ‘আমরা তো দিশা হারাইয়া ফেলিয়াছি।

26 But when they saw it, they said, "Indeed, we are lost;

২৬ তারপর যখন বাগানের অবস্থা দেখলো, বললো: ‘‘আমরা তো বিভ্রান্ত হয়ে পড়লাম।

26 Als sie ihn aber sahen, sagten sie: "Wir haben uns fürwahr geirrt.

২৭ ‘বরং আমরা তো বঞ্চিত।’

27 Rather, we have been deprived."

২৭ বরং আমরা বঞ্চিত হয়ে গেছি।’’

২৮ উহাদের শ্রেষ্ঠ ব্যক্তি বলিল, ‘আমি কি তোমাদেরকে বলি নাই ? এখনও তোমরা আল্লাহ্ র পবিত্রতা ও মহিমা ঘোষণা করিতেছ না কেন ?’

28 The most moderate of them said, "Did I not say to you, 'Why do you not exalt [Allah]?' "

২৮ তাদের সবচে’ ন্যায়পরায়ণ ব্যক্তি বললো: ‘আমি কি তোমাদের বলিনি, কেন তোমরা তসবিহ করছোনা?

28 Der Mittlere von ihnen sagte: "Habe ich nicht zu euch gesagt: Würdet ihr doch Allah preisen!"

٢٨ قَالَ أَوْسَطُهُمْ أَلَمْ أَقُل لَّكُمْ لَوْلَا تُسَبِّحُونَ

২৯ তখন উহারা বলিল, ‘আমরা আমাদের প্রতিপালকের পবিত্রতা ও মহিমা ঘোষণা করিতেছি, আমরা তো সীমালংঘনকারী ছিলাম।’

29 They said, "Exalted is our Lord! Indeed, we were wrongdoers."
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
২৯ (তারা বললো:) আমাদের প্রভুর পবিত্রতা ঘোষণা করছি, অবশ্যি আমরা ছিলাম যালিম।

29 Sie sagten: "Preis sei unserem Herrn! Wir waren gewiß ungerecht."

٢٩ قَالُوا۟ سُبْحَٰنَ رَبِّنَآ إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَٰلِمِينَ

৩০ অতঃপর উহারা একে অপরের প্রতি দোষারোপ করিতে লাগিল।

30 Then they approached one another, blaming each other.

৩০ তখন তারা পরস্পরের প্রতি দোষারোপ করতে থাকলো।

30 Da wandten sie sich einander zu, sich gegenseitig tadelnd.

٣٠ فَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَلَٰوَمُونَ

৩১ উহারা বলিল, ‘হায়, দুর্ভোগ আমাদের ! আমরা তো ছিলাম সীমালংঘনকারী।

31 They said, "O woe to us; indeed we were transgressors.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
৩১ তারা বললো: ‘‘হায় ধ্বংস আমাদের, অবশ্যি আমরা ছিলাম সীমালংঘনকারী।

31 Sie sagten: "O wehe uns! Wir pflegten ja das Maß (an Frevel) zu überschreiten.

٣١ قَالُوا۟ يَٰوَيْلَنَآ إِنَّا كُنَّا طَٰغِينَ
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
৩২ সম্ভবত আমাদের প্রতিপালক ইহা হইতে আমাদেরকে উৎকৃষ্টতর বিনিময় দিবেন, আমরা আমাদের প্রতিপালকের অভিমুখী হইলাম।’

32 Perhaps our Lord will substitute for us [one] better than it. Indeed, we are toward our Lord desirous."
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
৩২ হয়তো আমাদের প্রভু আমাদেরকে এর চাইতে উত্তম বদলা (বিনিময়) দেবেন, আমরা আমাদের প্রভুর অভিমুখী হলাম।’’

32 Vielleicht wird unser Herr uns zum Tausch dafür einen besseren (Garten) als ihn geben! Gewiß, nach Allah steht unser Begehren."

٣٢ عَسَىٰ رَبُّنَآ أَن يُبْدِلَنَا خَيْرًا مِّنْهَآ إِنَّآ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا رَٰغِبُونَ

৩৩ শাস্তি এইরূপই হইয়া থাকে এবং আখিরাতের শাস্তি কঠিনতর। যদি উহারা জানিত।

33 Such is the punishment [of this world]. And the punishment of the Hereafter is greater, if they only knew.

৩৩ আযাব এরকমই হয়ে থাকে। আর আখিরাতের আযাব অবশ্যি এর চাইতে অনেক জঘন্যতর, যদি তারা জানতো!

33 So ist die Strafe; aber die Strafe des Jenseits ist wahrlich größer, wenn sie nur wüßten!

٣٣ كَذَٰلِكَ ٱلْعَذَابُ وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ أَكْبَرُ لَوْ كَانُوا۟ يَعْلَمُونَ

৩৪ মুত্তাকীদের জন্য অবশ্যই রহিয়াছে ভোগ - বিলাসপূর্ণ জান্নাত তাহাদের প্রতিপালকের নিকট।

34 Indeed, for the righteous with their Lord are the Gardens of Pleasure.

৩৪ নিশ্চয়ই মুত্তাকিদের জন্যে তাদের প্রভুর কাছে রয়েছে ‘জান্নাতুন নায়ীম’।

34 Gewiß, für die Gottesfürchtigen wird es bei ihrem Herrn die Gärten der Wonne geben.

35 Then will We treat the Muslims like the criminals?

৩৫ আমরা কি আত্মসমর্পণকারী - মুসলিমদের গণ্য করবো অপরাধীদের সমতুল্য?

36 What is [the matter] with you? How do you judge?

৩৬ তোমাদের কী হয়েছে - তোমরা কিভাবে ফায়সালা করছো?

37 Or do you have a scripture in which you learn

৩৭ নাকি তোমাদের কাছে কোনো কিতাব রয়েছে যার মধ্যে (এসব) তোমরা পাঠ করছো?

37 Oder habt ihr eine Schrift, in der ihr lernt (und sucht);

٣٧ أَمْ لَكُمْ كِتَٰبٌ فِيهِ تَدْرُسُونَ

৩৮ যে, তোমাদের জন্য উহাতে রহিয়াছে যাহা তোমরা পসন্দ কর?

38 That indeed for you is whatever you choose?

৩৮ তাতে কি লেখা রয়েছে তোমাদের পছন্দসই কথা?

39 Or do you have oaths [binding] upon Us, extending until the Day of Resurrection, that indeed for you is whatever you judge?

৩৯ নাকি আমার সাথে তোমাদের কোনো অংগীকার আছে যা কিয়ামতকাল পর্যন্ত বলবত থাকবে? নিশ্চয়ই তোমরা তাই পাবে, যা নিজেদের জন্যে ফায়সালা করবে।

39 Oder habt ihr von Uns verbindliche Eide, die bis zum Tag der Auferstehung reichen; ihr bekommt wahrlich das, was ihr urteilt.

40 Ask them which of them, for that [claim], is responsible.

৪০ তাদের তুমি প্রশ্ন করো, এ ব্যাপারে তাদের যিম্মাদার কে?

৪১ উহাদের কি কোন দেব - দেবী আছে? থাকিলে উহারা উহাদের দেব - দেবীগুলিকে উপস্থিত করুক - যদি উহারা সত্যবাদী হয়।

41 Or do they have partners? Then let them bring their partners, if they should be truthful.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
৪১ নাকি তাদের শরিক করা (দেব দেবী) আছে? তবে তারা সেই শরিকদের নিয়ে আসুক যদি তারা হয়ে থাকে সত্যবাদী।

41 Oder haben sie (etwa) Teilhaber? So sollen sie doch ihre Teilhaber beibringen, wenn sie wahrhaftig sind.

৪২ স্মরণ কর সেই দিনের কথা, যেদিন পায়ের গোছা উন্মোচিত করা হইবে, সেই দিন উহাদেরকে আহ্বান করা হইবে সিজ্দা করিবার জন্য কিন্তু উহারা সক্ষম হইবে না;

42 The Day the shin will be uncovered and they are invited to prostration but the disbelievers will not be able,

৪২ স্মরণ করো, যেদিন তাদের পায়ের নলা উন্মোচিত করা হবে এবং তাদের ডাকা হবে সাজদা করতে, কিন্তু তাদের তা করার শক্তি থাকবেনা।

42 Am Tag, da (manch) ein Schenkel entblößt wird und sie aufgerufen werden, sich (anbetend) niederzuwerfen, aber da werden sie es nicht können,

৪৩ উহাদের দৃষ্টি অবনত, হীনতা উহাদেরকে আচ্ছন্ন করিবে অথচ যখন উহারা নিরাপদ ছিল তখন তো উহাদেরকে আহ্বান করা হইয়াছিল সিজ্দা করিতে।

43 Their eyes humbled, humiliation will cover them. And they used to be invited to prostration while they were sound.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
৪৩ তাদের দৃষ্টি থাকবে অবনত, তাদের গ্রাস করে নেবে যিল্লতি। অথচ (পৃথিবীতে) যখন তাদের সাজদা করতে ডাকা হতো তখন তারা নিজেদের (তা থেকে) রাখতো দূরে।

43 während ihre Blicke demütig sind und Erniedrigung sie bedeckt. Dabei waren sie doch bereits aufgefordert worden, sich (anbetend) niederzuwerfen, als sie (noch) heil waren.

٤٣ خَٰشِعَةً أَبْصَٰرُهُمْ تَرْهَقُهُمْ ذِلَّةٌ وَقَدْ كَانُوا۟ يُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى ٱلسُّجُودِ وَهُمْ سَٰلِمُونَ

৪৪ ছাড়িয়া দাও আমাকে এবং যাহারা এই বাণীকে প্রত্যাখ্যান করে তাহাদেরকে, আমি উহাদেরকে ক্রমে ক্রমে ধরিব এমনভাবে যে, উহারা জানিতে পারিবে না।
Saheeh International
44 So leave Me, [O Muhammad], with [the matter of] whoever denies the Qur'an. We will progressively lead them [to punishment] from where they do not know.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
৪৪ আমাকে ছেড়ে দাও আর যারা এই বাণীকে (আল কুরআনকে) অস্বীকার করে তাদেরকে। আমরা ক্রমান্বয়ে তাদেরকে এমনভাবে ধরবো যে, তারা জানতেও পারবেনা।

44 Lasse Mich (allein) mit denjenigen, die diese Aussage für Lüge erklären; Wir werden sie stufenweise (dem Verderben) näherbringen, von wo sie nicht wissen.

45 And I will give them time. Indeed, My plan is firm.

৪৫ আমি তাদের অবকাশ দিই, আমার কৌশল মজবুত।

45 Und Ich gewähre ihnen Aufschub. (Aber) gewiß, Meine List ist fest.

৪৬ তুমি কি তাদের কাছে পারিশ্রমিক চাইছো আর তারা সেটাকে মনে করছে দুর্বহ বোঝা?

46 Oder verlangst du (etwa) von ihnen einen Lohn, so daß sie mit Schulden belastet wären?

47 Or have they [knowledge of] the unseen, so they write [it] down?

৪৭ নাকি তাদের কাছে গায়েবের জ্ঞান আছে আর তারা তা লিখে রাখছে?

47 Oder besitzen sie (das Wissen über) das Verborgene, so daß sie (es) aufschreiben (können)?

৪৮ অতএব তুমি ধৈর্য ধারণ কর তোমার প্রতিপালকের নির্দেশের অপেক্ষায়, তুমি মৎস্য - সহচরের ন্যায় অধৈর্য হইও না, সে বিষাদ - আচ্ছন্ন অবস্থায় কাতর প্রার্থনা করিয়াছিল।

48 Then be patient for the decision of your Lord, [O Muhammad], and be not like the companion of the fish when he called out while he was distressed.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
৪৮ তোমার প্রভুর হুকুমের অপেক্ষায় সবর করো, মাছওয়ালার (ইউনুসের) মতো (অধৈর্য) হয়োনা। সে চরম হতাশায় আচ্ছন্ন অবস্থায় (আমাকে বিনীতভাবে) ডেকেছিল।

48 So sei standhaft in Bezug auf das Urteil deines Herrn'. Und sei nicht wie der Gefährte des (großen) Fisches, als er voller Gram (zu Allah) rief.

49 If not that a favor from his Lord overtook him, he would have been thrown onto the naked shore while he was censured.

৪৯ তার প্রভুর অনুগ্রহ তার কাছে না পৌঁছুলে সে চরম লাঞ্ছিত অবস্থায় নিক্ষিপ্ত হতো উন্মুক্ত প্রান্তরে।

49 Wenn ihn nicht eine Gunst von seinem Herrn rechtzeitig erreicht hätte, wäre er wahrlich auf das kahle Land geworfen worden und hätte sich dabei Vorwürfe zugezogen.

50 And his Lord chose him and made him of the righteous.

৫০ তারপর তার প্রভু তাকে মনোনীত করলেন এবং তাকে তাঁর সালেহ্ বান্দাদের অন্তরভুক্ত করলেন।

50 Da erwählte ihn sein Herr und machte ihn zu einem der Rechtschaffenen.

٥٠ فَٱجْتَبَٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ فَجَعَلَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ

৫১ কাফিররা যখন কুরআন শ্রবণ করে তখন উহারা যেন উহাদের তীক্ষ্ণ দৃষ্টি দ্বারা তোমাকে আছড়াইয়া ফেলিবে এবং বলে, ‘এ তো এক পাগল!’

51 And indeed, those who disbelieve would almost make you slip with their eyes when they hear the message, and they say, "Indeed, he is mad."

৫১ কাফিররা যখন আয যিক্র (আল কুরআন) শুনে, তখন যেনো তারা তাদের তীক্ষ্ণ দৃষ্টি দিয়ে তোমাকে আছাড় মারবে। তারা বলে: ‘এতো এক পাগল।’

51 Diejenigen, die ungläubig sind, würden dich, wenn sie die Ermahnung hören, mit ihren Blicken wahrlich beinahe ins Straucheln bringen. Und sie sagen: "Er ist ja fürwahr besessen."
