১ মহিমা ঘোষণা করো তোমার সর্বোন্নত প্রভুর নামের, - -

١ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى

1 In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High,

١ سَبِّحِ ٱسْمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلْأَعْلَى

২ যিনি সৃষ্টি করেন, তারপর সুঠাম করেন,

٢ الَّذِي خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ

2 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it.

৩ আর যিনি সুসমঞ্জস করেন, তারপর পথ দেখিয়ে নেন,

٣ وَالَّذِي قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ

3 And Who has measured (preordainments for everything even to be blessed or wretched); and then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as the wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture).

৪ আর যিনি তৃণলতা উদ্গত করেন,

4 And Who brings out the pasturage,

٤ وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَخْرَجَ ٱلْمَرْعَىٰ

৫ তারপর তাকে শুকিয়ে পাঁশুটে বানিয়ে ফেলেন।

٥ فَجَعَلَهُ غُثَاءً أَحْوَىٰ

5 And then makes it dark stubble.

৬ আমরা যথাশীঘ্র তোমাকে পড়াবো, ফলে তুমি ভুলবে না, - -

٦ سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰ

6 We shall make you to recite (the Qur'an), so you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) shall not forget (it),

৭ শুধু যা - কিছু আল্লাহ্ ইচ্ছা করেন তা ব্যতীত। নিশ্চয় তিনি জানেন প্রকাশ্য এবং যা গুপ্ত রয়েছে।

٧ إِلَّا مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُ يَعْلَمُ الْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ

7 Except what Allah may will. He knows what is apparent and what is hidden.

٧ إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ إِنَّهُۥ يَعْلَمُ ٱلْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ

৮ আর আমরা তোমার জন্য সহজ করে দেব সহজকরনের জন্য।

٨ وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ
Hilali & Muhsin Khan
8 And We shall make easy for you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) the easy way (i.e. the doing of righteous deeds).

٨ وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ

৯ অতএব তুমি স্মরণ করিয়ে চলোচ নিশ্চয় স্মরণ করানোতে সুফল রয়েছে।

٩ فَذَكِّرْ إِن نَّفَعَتِ الذِّكْرَىٰ

9 Therefore remind (men) in case the reminder profits (them).

১০ যে ভয় করে সে যথাসত্বর উপদেশ গ্রহণ করবে,

١٠ سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰ

10 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah),

১১ কিন্ত এটি এড়িয়ে চলবে নেহাত দুশ্চরিত্র, - -

١١ وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا الْأَشْقَى

11 But it will be avoided by the wretched,

১২ যে বিরাট আগুনে ঢোকে পড়বে,

١٢ الَّذِي يَصْلَى النَّارَ الْكُبْرَىٰ

12 Who will enter the great Fire (and will be made to taste its burning).

١٢ ٱلَّذِى يَصْلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ

১৩ তখন সে সেখানে মরবে না, আর বাঁচবেও না।

١٣ ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ

13 There he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living).

১৪ সে - ই যথার্থ সফলকাম হবে যে নিজেকে পবিত্র করেছে,

14 Indeed whosoever purifies himself (by avoiding polytheism and accepting Islamic Monotheism) shall achieve success,

১৫ এবং তার প্রভুর নাম স্মরণ করে, আর নামায পড়ে।

15 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil - additional prayers).

১৬ না, তোমরা দুনিয়ার জীবনকে প্রাধান্য দাও,

١٦ بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا

16 Nay, you prefer the life of this world,

১৭ অথচ পরকালই বেশি ভাল ও দীর্ঘস্থায়ী।

17 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting.

১৮ নিঃসন্দেহ এইসব আছে পূর্ববর্তী ধর্মগ্রন্থে - -

18 Verily, this is in the former Scriptures -
