About this chapter
এই সূরাতে মক্কা বিজয়ের পর বিধর্মীরা যে দলে দলে ইসলাম গ্রহণ করছিলো, তা উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে। ইসলামের এই বিজয়ের ফলে রাসূলুল্লাহ্ (সা)-এর দুনিয়ায় আগমন সফল হলো। তাই বিশিষ্ট সাহাবীগণ এই সূরা নাযিল হওয়ার পর রাসূলুল্লাহ্ (সা)-এর ওফাত বা বিদায় নিকটবর্তী বুঝতে পেরেছিলেন।
এই সূরা মক্কায় বিদায় হজ্জের সময় অবতীর্ণ হয়েছিল, কিন্তু নবীজির মদিনা হিজরতের পরে এটি অবতীর্ন বিধায় অনেকে এটিকে মাদানী সূরা বলে থাকেন।

আল্লাহর নামে শুরু করছি, পরম করুণাময়, পরম দয়ালু; যখন আসবে আল্লাহর সাহায্য এবং বিজয়,

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. When Allah's succour and the triumph cometh

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم إذا جاء نصر الله والفتح
Saheeh International
When the victory of Allah has come and the conquest,

এবং তুমি দলে দলে মানুষদের আল্লাহর ধর্মে প্রবেশ করতে দেখবে,

And thou seest mankind entering the religion of Allah in troops,

ورأيت الناس يدخلون في دين الله أفواجا
Saheeh International
And you see the people entering into the religion of Allah in multitudes,

তখন তুমি তোমার প্রতিপালকের প্রশংসাসহ পবিত্রতা ঘোষণা করবে এবং তাঁর কাছে ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা করবে; নিশ্চয়ই তিনি তাওবা গ্রহণকারী।

Then hymn the praises of thy Lord, and seek forgiveness of Him. Lo! He is ever ready to show mercy.

فسبح بحمد ربك واستغفره ۚ إنه كان توابا
Saheeh International
Then exalt [Him] with praise of your Lord and ask forgiveness of Him. Indeed, He is ever Accepting of repentance.
