সমকালীন বাংলা

আল্লাহর নামে শুরু করছি, পরম করুণাময় পরম দয়ালু; বরকতময় তিনি, যার হাতে রয়েছে সকল কর্তৃত্ব; এবং তিনি সবকিছুর উপর সর্বশক্তিমান।

Arabic, with marks

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ الْمُلْكُ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

Shakir

Blessed is He in Whose hand is the kingdom, and He has power over all things,

সমকালীন বাংলা

যিনি সৃষ্টি করেছেন মৃত্যু ও জীবন, তোমাদের পরীক্ষা করার জন্য, তোমাদের মধ্যে কে কর্মে সর্বোত্তম। আর তিনি পরাক্রমশালী, পরম ক্ষমাশীল।

الَّذِي خَلَقَ الْمَوْتَ وَالْحَيَاةَ لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ أَيُّكُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلًا ۚ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْغَفُورُ

Shakir

Who created death and life that He may try you - - which of you is best in deeds; and He is the Mighty, the Forgiving,

সমকালীন বাংলা

যিনি স্তরে স্তরে সাত আকাশ সৃষ্টি করেছেন। তুমি পরম করুণাময়ের সৃষ্টিতে কোনো অসামঞ্জস্য দেখতে পাবে না। অতঃপর তুমি আবার দৃষ্টি ফিরাও; তুমি কি কোনো ত্রুটি দেখতে পাও?

الَّذِي خَلَقَ سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٍ طِبَاقًا ۖ مَّا تَرَىٰ فِي خَلْقِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ مِن تَفَاوُتٍ ۖ فَارْجِعِ الْبَصَرَ هَلْ تَرَىٰ مِن فُطُورٍ

Shakir

Who created the seven heavens one above another; you see no incongruity in the creation of the Beneficent Allah; then look again, can you see any disorder?

সমকালীন বাংলা

তারপর তুমি বারবার দৃষ্টি ফিরাও; দৃষ্টি তোমার কাছেই ফিরে আসবে ব্যর্থ ও অবসন্ন হয়ে।

Arabic, with marks

ثُمَّ ارْجِعِ الْبَصَرَ كَرَّتَيْنِ يَنقَلِبْ إِلَيْكَ الْبَصَرُ خَاسِئًا وَهُوَ حَسِيرٌ

Shakir

Then turn back the eye again and again; your look shall come back to you confused while it is fatigued.

সমকালীন বাংলা

আর অবশ্যই আমরা নিকটতম আকাশকে প্রদীপসমূহ দিয়ে শোভিত করেছি এবং সেগুলোকে শয়তানদের দিকে নিক্ষেপের জন্য করেছি। আর তাদের জন্য আমরা সাঈরের শাস্তি প্রস্তুত করে রেখেছি।

وَلَقَدْ زَيَّنَّا السَّمَاءَ الدُّنْيَا بِمَصَابِيحَ وَجَعَلْنَاهَا رُجُومًا لِّلشَّيَاطِينِ ۖ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لَهُمْ عَذَابَ السَّعِيرِ

Shakir

And certainly We have adorned this lower heaven with lamps and We have made these missiles for the Shaitans, and We have prepared for them the chastisement of burning.

সমকালীন বাংলা

আর যারা তাদের প্রতিপালককে অবিশ্বাস করেছে, তাদের জন্য রয়েছে জাহান্নামের শাস্তি। আর তা কতই না নিকৃষ্ট গন্তব্যস্থান!

Arabic, with marks

وَلِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِرَبِّهِمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ ۖ وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ

Shakir

And for those who disbelieve in their Lord is the punishment of hell, and evil is the resort.

সমকালীন বাংলা

যখন তাদেরকে তাতে নিক্ষেপ করা হবে, তখন তারা তার ভয়ঙ্কর গর্জন শুনবে, আর তা উথলে উঠবে।

Arabic, with marks

إِذَا أُلْقُوا فِيهَا سَمِعُوا لَهَا شَهِيقًا وَهِيَ تَفُورُ

Shakir

When they shall be cast therein, they shall hear a loud moaning of it as it heaves,

সমকালীন বাংলা

তা যেন ক্রোধে ফেটে পড়বে। যখনই কোনো দল তাতে নিক্ষিপ্ত হবে, তার প্রহরীরা তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞাসা করবে, “তোমাদের কাছে কি কোনো সতর্ককারী আসেনি?”

تَكَادُ تَمَيَّزُ مِنَ الْغَيْظِ ۖ كُلَّمَا أُلْقِيَ فِيهَا فَوْجٌ سَأَلَهُمْ خَزَنَتُهَا أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ نَذِيرٌ

Shakir

Almost bursting for fury. Whenever a group is cast into it, its keeper shall ask them: Did there not come to you a warner?

সমকালীন বাংলা

তারা বলবে, “হ্যাঁ, অবশ্যই আমাদের কাছে একজন সতর্ককারী এসেছিলেন; কিন্তু আমরা অস্বীকার করেছিলাম এবং বলেছিলাম, ‘ কিছুই অবতীর্ণ করেননি। তোমরা তো শুধু বড় বিভ্রান্তির মধ্যে রয়েছ।’”

Arabic, with marks

قَالُوا بَلَىٰ قَدْ جَاءَنَا نَذِيرٌ فَكَذَّبْنَا وَقُلْنَا مَا نَزَّلَ اللَّهُ مِن شَيْءٍ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا فِي ضَلَالٍ كَبِيرٍ

Shakir

They shall say: Yea! indeed there came to us a warner, but we rejected (him) and said: Allah has not revealed anything, you are only in a great error.

সমকালীন বাংলা

আর তারা বলবে, “যদি আমরা শুনতাম অথবা বিবেচনা করতাম, তবে আমরা জ্বলন্ত আগুনের অধিবাসীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হতাম না।”

وَقَالُوا لَوْ كُنَّا نَسْمَعُ أَوْ نَعْقِلُ مَا كُنَّا فِي أَصْحَابِ السَّعِيرِ

Shakir

And they shall say: Had we but listened or pondered, we should not have been among the inmates of the burning fire.

সমকালীন বাংলা

অতঃপর তারা তাদের অপরাধ স্বীকার করবে। অতএব জ্বলন্ত আগুনের অধিবাসীরা দূরে নিক্ষিপ্ত।

Note

سُحْقًا: আক্ষরিক অর্থ "দূরে নিক্ষিপ্ত হওয়া" বা "দূরত্ব"।

فَاعْتَرَفُوا بِذَنبِهِمْ فَسُحْقًا لِّأَصْحَابِ السَّعِيرِ

Shakir

So they shall acknowledge their sins, but far will be (forgiveness) from the inmates of the burning fire.

সমকালীন বাংলা

নিশ্চয়ই যারা তাদের পালনকর্তাকে না দেখে ভয় করে, তাদের জন্য রয়েছে ক্ষমা এবং মহাপ্রতিদান।

Arabic, with marks

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُم بِالْغَيْبِ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَأَجْرٌ كَبِيرٌ

Shakir

(As for) those who fear their Lord in secret, they shall surely have forgiveness and a great reward.

সমকালীন বাংলা

আর তোমরা তোমাদের কথা গোপন করো অথবা প্রকাশ করো; নিশ্চয়ই তিনি অন্তরের বিষয় সম্পর্কে সর্বজ্ঞ।

Arabic, with marks

وَأَسِرُّوا قَوْلَكُمْ أَوِ اجْهَرُوا بِهِ ۖ إِنَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ

Shakir

And conceal your word or manifest it; surely He is Cognizant of what is in the hearts.

সমকালীন বাংলা

যিনি সৃষ্টি করেছেন, তিনি কি জানবেন না? আর তিনি সূক্ষ্মদর্শী, সর্বজ্ঞ।

Arabic, with marks

أَلَا يَعْلَمُ مَنْ خَلَقَ وَهُوَ اللَّطِيفُ الْخَبِيرُ

Shakir

Does He not know, Who created? And He is the Knower of the subtleties, the Aware.

সমকালীন বাংলা

তিনিই তোমাদের জন্য পৃথিবীকে অনুগত করে দিয়েছেন। অতএব তোমরা এর পথে-প্রান্তরে চলো এবং তাঁর রিযিক থেকে আহার করো। আর তাঁর কাছেই পুনরুত্থান।

هُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَرْضَ ذَلُولًا فَامْشُوا فِي مَنَاكِبِهَا وَكُلُوا مِن رِّزْقِهِ ۖ وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ

Shakir

He it is Who made the earth smooth for you, therefore go about in the spacious sides thereof, and eat of His sustenance, and to Him is the return after death.

সমকালীন বাংলা

৬৭–১৬ : তোমরা কি নিশ্চিন্ত হয়ে গেছো সেই সত্তা থেকে, যিনি আকাশে আছেন, যে তিনি তোমাদেরকে পৃথিবীর মধ্যে ধসিয়ে দেবেন? তখন তা প্রবলভাবে কেঁপে উঠবে।

Arabic, with marks

أَأَمِنتُم مَّن فِي السَّمَاءِ أَن يَخْسِفَ بِكُمُ الْأَرْضَ فَإِذَا هِيَ تَمُورُ

Shakir

Are you secure of those in the heaven that He should not make the earth to swallow you up? Then lo! it shall be in a state of commotion.

সমকালীন বাংলা

নাকি তোমরা নিশ্চিন্ত হয়ে গেছো সেই সত্তা থেকে, যিনি আকাশে আছেন, যে তিনি তোমাদের উপর পাথর নিক্ষেপকারী ঝড় পাঠাবেন? তখন তোমরা জানতে পারবে আমার সতর্কবার্তা কেমন।

Arabic, with marks

أَمْ أَمِنتُم مَّن فِي السَّمَاءِ أَن يُرْسِلَ عَلَيْكُمْ حَاصِبًا ۖ فَسَتَعْلَمُونَ كَيْفَ نَذِيرِ

Shakir

Or are you secure of those in the heaven that He should not send down upon you a punishment? Then shall you know how was My warning.

সমকালীন বাংলা

আর অবশ্যই তাদের পূর্ববর্তীরাও অস্বীকার করেছিল। অতঃপর কেমন ছিলো আমার প্রত্যাখ্যান!

Arabic, with marks

وَلَقَدْ كَذَّبَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ

Shakir

And certainly those before them rejected (the truth), then how was My disapproval.

সমকালীন বাংলা

তারা কি দেখে না তাদের উপরে পাখিদের, ডানা বিস্তার করে এবং গুটিয়ে নেয়? পরম করুণাময় ছাড়া কেউই তাদেরকে ধরে রাখেন না। নিশ্চয়ই তিনি সবকিছু প্রত্যক্ষকারী।

أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا إِلَى الطَّيْرِ فَوْقَهُمْ صَافَّاتٍ وَيَقْبِضْنَ ۚ مَا يُمْسِكُهُنَّ إِلَّا الرَّحْمَٰنُ ۚ إِنَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ بَصِيرٌ

Shakir

Have they not seen the birds above them expanding (their wings) and contracting (them)? What is it that withholds them save the Beneficent Allah? Surely He sees everything.

সমকালীন বাংলা

অথবা কে এমন, যে তোমাদের জন্য বাহিনী হবে, পরম করুণাময়কে বাদ দিয়ে তোমাদের সাহায্য করবে? অস্বীকারকারীরা তো শুধু প্রতারণার মধ্যেই রয়েছে।

Arabic, with marks

أَمَّنْ هَٰذَا الَّذِي هُوَ جُندٌ لَّكُمْ يَنصُرُكُم مِّن دُونِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ ۚ إِنِ الْكَافِرُونَ إِلَّا فِي غُرُورٍ

Shakir

Or who is it that will be a host for you to assist you besides the Beneficent Allah? The unbelievers are only in deception.

সমকালীন বাংলা

অথবা কে সে, যে তোমাদেরকে জীবিকা দেবে, যদি তিনি তাঁর জীবিকা বন্ধ করে দেন? বরং তারা অবাধ্যতা ও বিমুখতার মধ্যেই অবিচল রয়েছে।

Arabic, with marks

أَمَّنْ هَٰذَا الَّذِي يَرْزُقُكُمْ إِنْ أَمْسَكَ رِزْقَهُ ۚ بَل لَّجُّوا فِي عُتُوٍّ وَنُفُورٍ

Shakir

Or who is it that will give you sustenance if He should withhold His sustenance? Nay! they persist in disdain and aversion.

সমকালীন বাংলা

তবে কি সে অধিক সঠিক পথে পরিচালিত, যে উপুড় হয়ে মুখের উপর চলে, নাকি সে, যে সরল পথে সোজা হয়ে চলে?

Arabic, with marks

أَفَمَن يَمْشِي مُكِبًّا عَلَىٰ وَجْهِهِ أَهْدَىٰ أَمَّن يَمْشِي سَوِيًّا عَلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ

Shakir

What! is he who goes prone upon his face better guided or he who walks upright upon a straight path?

সমকালীন বাংলা

বলো, তিনিই তোমাদেরকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন এবং তোমাদের জন্য শ্রবণ, দৃষ্টি ও অন্তর দিয়েছেন। তোমরা খুব অল্পই কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ কর।

Arabic, with marks

قُلْ هُوَ الَّذِي أَنشَأَكُمْ وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ السَّمْعَ وَالْأَبْصَارَ وَالْأَفْئِدَةَ ۖ قَلِيلًا مَّا تَشْكُرُونَ

Shakir

Say: He it is Who brought you into being and made for you the ears and the eyes and the hearts: little is it that you give thanks.

সমকালীন বাংলা

বলো, তিনিই তোমাদেরকে পৃথিবীতে ছড়িয়ে দিয়েছেন, এবং তাঁর কাছেই তোমাদের সমবেত করা হবে।

Arabic, with marks

قُلْ هُوَ الَّذِي ذَرَأَكُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَإِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ

Shakir

Say: He it is Who multiplied you in the earth and to Him you shall be gathered.

সমকালীন বাংলা

আর তারা বলে, এই প্রতিশ্রুতি কবে হবে, যদি তোমরা সত্যবাদী হও?

Arabic, with marks

وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَٰذَا الْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ

Shakir

And they say: When shall this threat be (executed) if you are truthful?

সমকালীন বাংলা

বলো, এর জ্ঞান কেবল আল্লাহর কাছেই। আর আমি তো কেবল একজন স্পষ্ট সতর্ককারী।

Arabic, with marks

قُلْ إِنَّمَا الْعِلْمُ عِندَ اللَّهِ وَإِنَّمَا أَنَا نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ

Shakir

Say: The knowledge (thereof is only with Allah and I am only a plain warner.

সমকালীন বাংলা

অতঃপর যখন তারা সেটিকে নিকটবর্তী দেখতে পাবে, তখন অবিশ্বাসীদের মুখমণ্ডল মলিন হয়ে যাবে, এবং বলা হবে, এটাই তো ছিল যা তোমরা দাবি করতে।

فَلَمَّا رَأَوْهُ زُلْفَةً سِيئَتْ وُجُوهُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَقِيلَ هَٰذَا الَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِ تَدَّعُونَ

Shakir

But when they shall see it nigh, the faces of those who disbelieve shall be sorry, and it shall be said; This is that which you used to call for.

সমকালীন বাংলা

বলো, তোমরা কি ভেবে দেখেছো, যদি আমাকে এবং আমার সঙ্গে যারা আছে তাদেরকে ধ্বংস করেন অথবা আমাদের প্রতি দয়া করেন, তবে কে অস্বীকারকারীদেরকে যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তি থেকে রক্ষা করবে?

قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ أَهْلَكَنِيَ اللَّهُ وَمَن مَّعِيَ أَوْ رَحِمَنَا فَمَن يُجِيرُ الْكَافِرِينَ مِنْ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ

Shakir

Say: Have you considered if Allah should destroy me and those with me - - rather He will have mercy on us; yet who will protect the unbelievers from a painful punishment?

সমকালীন বাংলা

বলো, তিনিই পরম করুণাময়। আমরা তাঁর প্রতি ঈমান এনেছি এবং তাঁরই উপর নির্ভর করেছি। অতএব শীঘ্রই তোমরা জানতে পারবে কে সুস্পষ্ট বিভ্রান্তিতে রয়েছে।

قُلْ هُوَ الرَّحْمَٰنُ آمَنَّا بِهِ وَعَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْنَا ۖ فَسَتَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ هُوَ فِي ضَلَالٍ مُّبِينٍ

Shakir

Say: He is the Beneficent Allah, we believe in Him and on Him do we rely, so you shall come to know who it is that is in clear error.

সমকালীন বাংলা

বলো, তোমরা কি ভেবে দেখেছো, যদি তোমাদের পানি ভূগর্ভে চলে যায়, তবে কে তোমাদের জন্য প্রবাহমান পানি এনে দেবে?

قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ أَصْبَحَ مَاؤُكُمْ غَوْرًا فَمَن يَأْتِيكُم بِمَاءٍ مَّعِينٍ

Shakir

Say: Have you considered if your water should go down, who is it then that will bring you flowing water?
