আল্লাহর নামে শুরু করছি, পরম করুণাময় পরম দয়ালু; শপথ তীন ও যয়তুনের,
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
শপথ তীন এবং যয়তুনের।
Saheeh International
By the fig and the olive

By the Fig and the Olive,

وَٱلتِّينِ وَٱلزَّيْتُونِ
সমকালীন বাংলা
এবং সিনাই পর্বতের,
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
শপথ সিনাই পর্বতের।
Saheeh International
And [by] Mount Sinai

And the Mount of Sinai,

وَطُورِ سِينِينَ
সমকালীন বাংলা
এবং এই নিরাপদ নগরের,
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
এবং শপথ এই নিরাপদ (মক্কা) নগরীর।
Saheeh International
And [by] this secure city [Makkah],

And this City of security, -

وَهَٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدِ ٱلْأَمِينِ
সমকালীন বাংলা
নিশ্চয়ই আমরা মানুষকে সুষম গঠনে সৃষ্টি করেছি,
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
নিশ্চয়ই আমরা সৃষ্টি করেছি মানুষকে সুন্দরতম গঠন - প্রকৃতিতে।
Saheeh International
We have certainly created man in the best of stature;

We have indeed created man in the best of moulds,

لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ فِىٓ أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيمٍ
সমকালীন বাংলা
তারপর আমরা তাকে ফিরিয়ে দিই নিকৃষ্টতম অবস্থায়,
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তারপর তাকে আমরা পৌঁছে দিই নিচুদের চাইতেও নিচুতে।
Saheeh International
Then We return him to the lowest of the low,
Yusuf Ali
Then do We abase him (to be) the lowest of the low, -

ثُمَّ رَدَدْنَٰهُ أَسْفَلَ سَٰفِلِينَ
সমকালীন বাংলা
তবে যারা বিশ্বাস করেছে এবং সৎকর্ম করেছে—তাদের জন্য রয়েছে অবিরাম প্রতিদান,
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তবে তাদের নয়, যারা ঈমান আনে এবং আমলে সালেহ্ করে। তাদের জন্যে তো রয়েছে এমন পুরস্কার, যা শেষ হবেনা কখনো।
Saheeh International
Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds, for they will have a reward uninterrupted.
Yusuf Ali
Except such as believe and do righteous deeds: For they shall have a reward unfailing.

إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ فَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍ

এরপরও কী তোমাকে বিচার অস্বীকার করতে প্ররোচিত করে?
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
এর পরেও (হে অবিশ্বাসী!) কোন্ জিনিস তোমাকে অবিশ্বাসী বানায় (আখিরাতের) প্রতিদান সম্পর্কে?
Saheeh International
So what yet causes you to deny the Recompense?

Then what can, after this, contradict thee, as to the judgment (to come)?

فَمَا يُكَذِّبُكَ بَعْدُ بِٱلدِّينِ

কি সর্বোত্তম বিচারক নন?

কি সব বিচারকের বড় বিচারক নন?

Is not Allah the most just of judges?

Is not Allah the wisest of judges?

أَلَيْسَ ٱللَّهُ بِأَحْكَمِ ٱلْحَٰكِمِينَ
