Chapter 30, 60 verses
পরম দয়ালু, পরম ক্ষমাশীল আল্লাহর নামে; আলিফ - লাম - মীম,
A. L. M.
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ الم
রোমকগণ পরাজিত হইয়াছে -
The Roman Empire has been defeated -
غُلِبَتِ الرُّومُ
নিকটবর্তী অঞ্চলে; কিন্তু উহারা উহাদের এই পরাজয়ের পর শীঘ্রই বিজয়ী হইবে,
In a land close by; but they, (even) after (this) defeat of theirs, will soon be victorious -
فِي أَدْنَى الْأَرْضِ وَهُم مِّن بَعْدِ غَلَبِهِمْ سَيَغْلِبُونَ
কয়েক বৎসরের মধ্যেই। পূর্বের ও পরের ফয়সালা আর সেই দিন মু’মিনগণ আনন্দতি হইবে।
Within a few years. With Allah is the Decision, in the past and in the Future: on that Day shall the Believers rejoice -
فِي بِضْعِ سِنِينَ ۗ لِلَّهِ الْأَمْرُ مِن قَبْلُ وَمِن بَعْدُ ۚ وَيَوْمَئِذٍ يَفْرَحُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ
আল্লাহর সাহায্য। তিনি যাকে ইচ্ছা সাহায্য করেন এবং তিনি পরাক্রমশালী, পরম দয়ালু।
With the help of Allah. He helps whom He will, and He is exalted in might, most merciful.
بِنَصْرِ اللَّهِ ۚ يَنصُرُ مَن يَشَاءُ ۖ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ
ইহা প্রতিশ্রুতি ; তাহার প্রতিশ্রুতি ব্যতিক্রম করেন না, কিন্তু অধিকাংশ লোক জানে না।
(It is) the promise of Allah. Never does Allah depart from His promise: but most men understand not.
وَعْدَ اللَّهِ ۖ لَا يُخْلِفُ اللَّهُ وَعْدَهُ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
উহারা পার্থিব জীবনের বাহ্য দিক সম্বন্ধে অবগত, আর সম্বন্ধে উহারা গাফিল।
They know but the outer (things) in the life of this world: but of the End of things they are heedless.
يَعْلَمُونَ ظَاهِرًا مِّنَ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَهُمْ عَنِ الْآخِرَةِ هُمْ غَافِلُونَ
উহারা কি নিজেদের অন্তরে ভাবিয়া দেখে না? আকাশমণ্ডলী, পৃথিবী ও উহাদের অন্তর্বর্তী সমস্তকিছু সৃষ্টি করিয়াছেন যথাযথভাবে এবং এক নির্দিষ্ট কালের জন্য। কিন্তু মানুষের মধ্যে অনেকেই তাহাদের প্রতিপালকের সাক্ষাতে অবিশ্বাসী।
Do they not reflect in their own minds? Not but for just ends and for a term appointed, did Allah create the heavens and the earth, and all between them: yet are there truly many among men who deny the meeting with their Lord (at the Resurrection)!
أَوَلَمْ يَتَفَكَّرُوا فِي أَنفُسِهِم ۗ مَّا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ وَأَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى ۗ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ النَّاسِ بِلِقَاءِ رَبِّهِمْ لَكَافِرُونَ
উহারা কি পৃথিবীতে ভ্রমণ করে না? তাহা হইলে দেখিত যে, উহাদের পূর্ববর্তীদের পরিণাম কিরূপ হইয়াছিল! শক্তিতে তাহারা ছিল ইহাদের অপেক্ষা প্রবল, তাহারা জমি চাষ করিত, তাহারা উহা আবাদ করিত ইহাদের আবাদ করা অপেক্ষা অধিক। তাহাদের নিকট আসিয়াছিল তাহাদের রাসূলগণ সুস্পষ্ট নিদর্শনসহ ; বস্তুত এমন নন যে, উহাদের প্রতি জুলুম করেন, উহারা নিজেরাই নিজেদের প্রতি জুলুম করিয়াছিল।
Do they not travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those before them? They were superior to them in strength: they tilled the soil and populated it in greater numbers than these have done: there came to them their messengers with Clear (Signs). (Which they rejected, to their own destruction): It was not Allah Who wronged them, but they wronged their own souls.
أَوَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ كَانُوا أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً وَأَثَارُوا الْأَرْضَ وَعَمَرُوهَا أَكْثَرَ مِمَّا عَمَرُوهَا وَجَاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ ۖ فَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ وَلَٰكِن كَانُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ
অতঃপর যাহারা মন্দ কর্ম করিয়াছিল তাহাদের পরিণাম হইয়াছে মন্দ; কারণ, তারা আল্লাহর আয়াতসমূহকে মথ্যিা বলত এবং সেগুলোকে নিয়ে ঠাট্টা বিদ্রোপ করত।
In the long run evil in the extreme will be the End of those who do evil; for that they rejected the Signs of Allah, and held them up to ridicule.
ثُمَّ كَانَ عَاقِبَةَ الَّذِينَ أَسَاءُوا السُّوأَىٰ أَن كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَكَانُوا بِهَا يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ
প্রথমবার সৃষ্টি করেন, অতঃপর তিনি পুনরায় সৃষ্টি করবনে। এরপর তােমরা তাঁরই দকিে প্রত্যার্বততি হইবে। তাঁহারই নিকট প্রত্যানীত হইবে।
It is Allah Who begins (the process of) creation; then repeats it; then shall ye be brought back to Him.
اللَّهُ يَبْدَأُ الْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُ ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ
যেই দিন কিয়ামত হইবে সেই দিন অপরাধীরা হতাশ হইয়া পড়িবে।
On the Day that the Hour will be established, the guilty will be struck dumb with despair.
وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ يُبْلِسُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ
উহাদের দেব - দেবীগুলি উহাদের জন্য সুপারিশকারী হইবে না এবং উহারা উহাদের দেব - দেবীগুলিকে প্রত্যাখ্যান করিবে।
No intercessor will they have among their "Partners" and they will (themselves) reject their "Partners".
وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُم مِّن شُرَكَائِهِمْ شُفَعَاءُ وَكَانُوا بِشُرَكَائِهِمْ كَافِرِينَ
যেই দিন কিয়ামত হইবে সেই দিন মানুষ বিভক্ত হইয়া পড়িবে।
On the Day that the Hour will be established, - that Day shall (all men) be sorted out.
وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَتَفَرَّقُونَ
অতএব যাহারা ঈমান আনিয়াছে ও সৎ কর্ম করিয়াছে তাহারা জান্নাতে থাকিবে।
Then those who have believed and worked righteous deeds, shall be made happy in a Mead of Delight.
فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ فَهُمْ فِي رَوْضَةٍ يُحْبَرُونَ
এবং যাহারা করিয়াছে এবং আমার নিদর্শনাবলী ও আখিরাতের সাক্ষাৎ অস্বীকার করিয়াছে, তাহারাই শাস্তি ভোগ করিতে থাকিবে।
And those who have rejected Faith and falsely denied our Signs and the meeting of the Hereafter, - such shall be brought forth to Punishment.
وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَكَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا وَلِقَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ فَأُولَٰئِكَ فِي الْعَذَابِ مُحْضَرُونَ
সুতরাং তোমরা আল্লাহর পবিত্রতা ও মহিমা ঘোষণা কর সন্ধ্যা ও প্রভাতে।
So (give) glory to Allah, when ye reach eventide and when ye rise in the morning;
فَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ حِينَ تُمْسُونَ وَحِينَ تُصْبِحُونَ
এবং অপরাহ্নে ও যোহরের সময়ে; আর আকাশমণ্ডলী ও পৃথিবীতে সকল প্রশংসা তো তাঁহারই।
Yea, to Him be praise, in the heavens and on earth; and in the late afternoon and when the day begins to decline.
وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَعَشِيًّا وَحِينَ تُظْهِرُونَ
তিনিই মৃত হইতে জীবন্তের আবির্ভাব ঘটান এবং তিনিই জীবন্তহইতে মৃতের আবির্ভাব ঘটান এবং ভূমিকে পুনর্জীবিত করেন উহার মৃত্যুর পর। এইভাবেই তোমরা উত্থিত হইবে।
It is He Who brings out the living from the dead, and brings out the dead from the living, and Who gives life to the earth after it is dead: and thus shall ye be brought out (from the dead).
يُخْرِجُ الْحَيَّ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ وَيُخْرِجُ الْمَيِّتَ مِنَ الْحَيِّ وَيُحْيِي الْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا ۚ وَكَذَٰلِكَ تُخْرَجُونَ
তাঁহার নিদর্শনাবলীর মধ্যে রহিয়াছে যে, তিনি তোমাদেরকে মৃত্তিকা হইতে সৃষ্টি করিয়াছেন। তাহার পর এখন তোমরা মানুষ, সর্বত্র ছড়াইয়া পড়িতেছ।
Among His Signs in this, that He created you from dust; and then, - behold, ye are men scattered (far and wide)!
وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ أَنْ خَلَقَكُم مِّن تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ إِذَا أَنتُم بَشَرٌ تَنتَشِرُونَ
আর তাঁহার নিদর্শনাবলীর মধ্যে রহিয়াছে যে, তিনি তোমাদের জন্য তোমাদের মধ্য হইতেসৃষ্টি করিয়াছেন তোমাদের সংগিনীদেরকে যাহাতে তোমরা উহাদের নিকট শান্তি পাও এবং তোমাদের মধ্যে পারস্পরিক ভালবাসা ও দয়া সৃষ্টি করিয়াছেন। চিন্তাশীল সম্প্রদায়ের জন্য অবশ্যই বহু নিদর্শন রহিয়াছে।
And among His Signs is this, that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that ye may dwell in tranquillity with them, and He has put love and mercy between your (hearts): verily in that are Signs for those who reflect.
وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ أَنْ خَلَقَ لَكُم مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ أَزْوَاجًا لِّتَسْكُنُوا إِلَيْهَا وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَكُم مَّوَدَّةً وَرَحْمَةً ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
আর তাঁহার নিদর্শনাবলীর মধ্যে রহিয়াছে আকাশমণ্ডলী ও পৃথিবীর সৃষ্টি এবং তোমাদের ভাষা ও বর্ণের বৈচিত্র্য। ইহাতে জ্ঞানীদের জন্য অবশ্যই বহু নিদর্শন রহিয়াছে।
And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the variations in your languages and your colours: verily in that are Signs for those who know.
وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ خَلْقُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَاخْتِلَافُ أَلْسِنَتِكُمْ وَأَلْوَانِكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّلْعَالِمِينَ
আর তাঁহার নিদর্শনাবলীর মধ্যে রহিয়াছে রাত্রিতে ও দিবাভাগে তোমাদের নিদ্রা এবং তোমাদের অন্নেষণ তাঁহার অনুগ্রহ হইতে। ইহাতে অবশ্যই বহু নিদর্শন রহিয়াছে শ্রবণকারী সম্প্রদায়ের জন্য।
And among His Signs is the sleep that ye take by night and by day, and the quest that ye (make for livelihood) out of His Bounty: verily in that are signs for those who hearken.
وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ مَنَامُكُم بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَابْتِغَاؤُكُم مِّن فَضْلِهِ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَسْمَعُونَ
আর তাঁহার নিদর্শনাবলীর মধ্যে রহিয়াছে, তিনি তোমাদেরকে প্রদর্শন করেন বিদ্যুৎ, ভয় ও ভরসা সঞ্চারকরূপে এবং আকাশ হইতে বারি বর্ষণ করেন ও তদ্দারা ভূমিকে পুনরুজ্জীবিত করেন উহার মৃত্যুর পর; ইহাতে অবশ্যই বহু নিদর্শন রহিয়াছে বোধশক্তিসম্পন্ন সম্প্রদায়ের জন্য।
And among His Signs, He shows you the lightning, by way both of fear and of hope, and He sends down rain from the sky and with it gives life to the earth after it is dead: verily in that are Signs for those who are wise.
وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ يُرِيكُمُ الْبَرْقَ خَوْفًا وَطَمَعًا وَيُنَزِّلُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَيُحْيِي بِهِ الْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ
এবং তাহার নিদর্শনাবলীর মধ্যে রহিয়াছে যে, তাঁহারই আদেশে আকাশ ও পৃথিবীর স্থিতি থাকে; অতঃপর যখন তোমাদেরকে মৃত্তিকা হইতে উঠিবার জন্য একবার আহ্বান করিবেন তখন তোমরা উঠিয়া আসিবে।
And among His Signs is this, that heaven and earth stand by His Command: then when He calls you, by a single call, from the earth, behold, ye (straightway) come forth.
وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ أَن تَقُومَ السَّمَاءُ وَالْأَرْضُ بِأَمْرِهِ ۚ ثُمَّ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ دَعْوَةً مِّنَ الْأَرْضِ إِذَا أَنتُمْ تَخْرُجُونَ
আকাশমণ্ডলী ও পৃথিবীতে যাহা কিছু আছে তাহা তাঁহারই। সকলেই তাঁহার আজ্ঞাবহ।
To Him belongs every being that is in the heavens and on earth: all are devoutly obedient to Him.
وَلَهُ مَن فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۖ كُلٌّ لَّهُ قَانِتُونَ
তিনি সৃষ্টিকে অস্তিত্বে আনয়ন করেন, অতঃপর তিনি ইহাকে সৃষ্টি করিবেন পুনর্বার; ইহা তাঁহার জন্য অতি সহজ। আকাশমণ্ডলী ও পৃথিবীতে সর্বোচ্চ মর্যাদা তাঁহারই; এবং তিনিই পরাক্রমশালী, প্রজ্ঞাময়।
It is He Who begins (the process of) creation; then repeats it; and for Him it is most easy. To Him belongs the loftiest similitude (we can think of) in the heavens and the earth: for He is Exalted in Might, full of wisdom.
وَهُوَ الَّذِي يَبْدَأُ الْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُ وَهُوَ أَهْوَنُ عَلَيْهِ ۚ وَلَهُ الْمَثَلُ الْأَعْلَىٰ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ
তোমাদের জন্য তোমাদের নিজেদের মধ্যে একটি দৃষ্টান্ত পেশ করিতেছেন: তোমাদেরকে আমি যে রিযিক দিয়াছি, তোমাদের অধিকারভুক্ত দাস - দাসিগণের কেহ কি তাহাতে অংশীদার? ফলে তোমরা কি এই ব্যাপারে সমান? তোমরা কি উহাদেরকে সেইরূপ ভয় কর যেইরূপ তোমরা পরস্পর পরস্পরকে ভয় কর? এইভাবেই আমি বোধশক্তিসম্পন্ন লোকদের নিকট নিদর্শনাবলী বিবৃত করি।
He does propound to you a similitude from your own (experience): do ye have partners among those whom your right hands possess, to share as equals in the wealth We have bestowed on you? Do ye fear them as ye fear each other? Thus do we explain the Signs in detail to a people that understand.
ضَرَبَ لَكُم مَّثَلًا مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ ۖ هَل لَّكُم مِّن مَّا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُم مِّن شُرَكَاءَ فِي مَا رَزَقْنَاكُمْ فَأَنتُمْ فِيهِ سَوَاءٌ تَخَافُونَهُمْ كَخِيفَتِكُمْ أَنفُسَكُمْ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ الْآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ
বরং সীমালংঘনকারীরা অজ্ঞানতাবশত তাহাদের খেয়াল - খুশির অনুসরণ করে, সুতরাং যাহাকে পথভ্রষ্ট করিয়াছেন, কে তাহাকে সৎপথে পরিচালিত করিবে? আর তাহাদের কোন সাহায্যকারী নাই।
Nay, the wrong - doers (merely) follow their own lusts, being devoid of knowledge. But who will guide those whom Allah leaves astray? To them there will be no helpers.
بَلِ اتَّبَعَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا أَهْوَاءَهُم بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ ۖ فَمَن يَهْدِي مَنْ أَضَلَّ اللَّهُ ۖ وَمَا لَهُم مِّن نَّاصِرِينَ
তুমি একনিষ্ঠ হইয়া নিজকে দীনে প্রতিষ্ঠিত কর। প্রকৃতির অনুসরণ কর, যে প্রকৃতি অনুযায়ী তিনি মানুষ সৃষ্টি করিয়াছেন ; সৃষ্টির কোন পরিবর্তন নাই। ইহাই সরল দীন ; কিন্তু অধিকাংশ মানুষ জানে না।
So set thou thy face steadily and truly to the Faith: (establish) Allah's handiwork according to the pattern on which He has made mankind: no change (let there be) in the work (wrought) by Allah: that is the standard Religion: but most among mankind understand not.
فَأَقِمْ وَجْهَكَ لِلدِّينِ حَنِيفًا ۚ فِطْرَتَ اللَّهِ الَّتِي فَطَرَ النَّاسَ عَلَيْهَا ۚ لَا تَبْدِيلَ لِخَلْقِ اللَّهِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ الدِّينُ الْقَيِّمُ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
বিশুদ্ধচিত্তে তাঁহার অভিমুখী হইয়া তাহাকে ভয় কর, কায়েম কর এবং অন্তর্ভুক্ত হইও না মুশরিকদের,
Turn ye back in repentance to Him, and fear Him: establish regular prayers, and be not ye among those who join gods with Allah, -
۞ مُنِيبِينَ إِلَيْهِ وَاتَّقُوهُ وَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَلَا تَكُونُوا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ
যাহারা নিজেদের দীনে মতভেদ সৃষ্টি করিয়াছে এবং বিভিন্ন দলে বিভক্ত হইয়াছে। প্রত্যকে দলই নজি নজি মতবাদ নয়িে উল্লসতি।
Those who split up their Religion, and become (mere) Sects, - each party rejoicing in that which is with itself!
مِنَ الَّذِينَ فَرَّقُوا دِينَهُمْ وَكَانُوا شِيَعًا ۖ كُلُّ حِزْبٍ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ فَرِحُونَ
মানুষকে যখন দুঃখ - দৈন্য স্পর্শ করে তখন উহারা বিশুদ্ধচিত্তে উহাদের প্রতিপালককে ডাকে। অতঃপর তিনি যখন উহাদেরকে স্বীয় অনুগ্রহ আস্বাদন করান তখন উহাদের একদল উহাদের প্রতিপালকের শরীক করিয়া থাকে;
When trouble touches men, they cry to their Lord, turning back to Him in repentance: but when He gives them a taste of Mercy as from Himself, behold, some of them pay part - worship to other god's besides their Lord, -
وَإِذَا مَسَّ النَّاسَ ضُرٌّ دَعَوْا رَبَّهُم مُّنِيبِينَ إِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ إِذَا أَذَاقَهُم مِّنْهُ رَحْمَةً إِذَا فَرِيقٌ مِّنْهُم بِرَبِّهِمْ يُشْرِكُونَ
ফলে উহাদেরকে আমি যাহা দিয়াছি, তাহা উহারা অস্বীকার করে। সুতরাং ভোগ করিয়া লও, শীঘ্রই তোমরা জানিতে পারিবে।
(As if) to show their ingratitude for the (favours) We have bestowed on them! Then enjoy (your brief day); but soon will ye know (your folly).
لِيَكْفُرُوا بِمَا آتَيْنَاهُمْ ۚ فَتَمَتَّعُوا فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ
আমি কি উহাদের নিকট এমন কোন দলীল অবতীর্ণ করিয়াছি যাহা উহাদেরকে শরীক করিতে বলে?
Or have We sent down authority to them, which points out to them the things to which they pay part - worship?
أَمْ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ سُلْطَانًا فَهُوَ يَتَكَلَّمُ بِمَا كَانُوا بِهِ يُشْرِكُونَ
আমি যখন মানুষকে অনুগ্রহের আস্বাদ দেই উহারা তাহাতে হয় এবং উহাদের কৃতকর্মের ফলে দুর্দশাগ্রস্ত হইলেই উহারা হতাশ হইয়া পড়ে।
When We give men a taste of Mercy, they exult thereat: and when some evil afflicts them because of what their (own) hands have sent forth, behold, they are in despair!
وَإِذَا أَذَقْنَا النَّاسَ رَحْمَةً فَرِحُوا بِهَا ۖ وَإِن تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ إِذَا هُمْ يَقْنَطُونَ
উহারা কি লক্ষ্য করে না, যাহার জন্য ইচ্ছা রিযিক প্রশস্তকরেন এবং সীমিত করেন? ইহাতে অবশ্যই নিদর্শন রহিয়াছে সম্প্রদায়ের জন্য।
See they not that Allah enlarges the provision and restricts it, to whomsoever He pleases? Verily in that are Signs for those who believe.
أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَن يَشَاءُ وَيَقْدِرُ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ
অতএব আত্মীয়কে দিবে তাহার হক এবং অভাবগ্রস্তও মুসাফিরকেও। যাহারা সন্তুষ্টি কামনা করে তাহাদের জন্য ইহা শ্রেয় এবং তাহারাই ।
So give what is due to kindred, the needy, and the wayfarer. That is best for those who seek the Countenance, of Allah, and it is they who will prosper.
فَآتِ ذَا الْقُرْبَىٰ حَقَّهُ وَالْمِسْكِينَ وَابْنَ السَّبِيلِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ لِّلَّذِينَ يُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَ اللَّهِ ۖ وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ
মানুষের ধনে বৃদ্ধি পাইবে বলিয়া তোমরা যে সুদ দিয়া থাক, আল্লাহর দৃষ্টিতে তাহা ধন - সম্পদ বৃদ্ধি করে না। কিন্তু আল্লাহর সন্তুষ্টি লাভের জন্য যে যাকাত তোমরা দিয়া থাক তাহাই বৃদ্ধি পায়; উহারাই সমৃদ্ধিশালী।
That which ye lay out for increase through the property of (other) people, will have no increase with Allah: but that which ye lay out for charity, seeking the Countenance of Allah, (will increase): it is these who will get a recompense multiplied.
وَمَا آتَيْتُم مِّن رِّبًا لِّيَرْبُوَ فِي أَمْوَالِ النَّاسِ فَلَا يَرْبُو عِندَ اللَّهِ ۖ وَمَا آتَيْتُم مِّن زَكَاةٍ تُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَ اللَّهِ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُضْعِفُونَ
আল্লাহই তোমাদেরকে সৃষ্টি করিয়াছেন, অতঃপর তোমাদেরকে রিযিক দিয়াছেন, তিনি তোমাদের মৃত্যু ঘটাইবেন ও পরে তোমাদেরকে জীবিত করিবেন। তোমাদের দেব - দেবীগুলির এমন কেহ আছে কি, যে এ সমস্তের কোন কিছু করিতে পারে? উহারা যাহাদেরকে শরীক করে, তা থাকলে পবত্রি ও মহান।
It is Allah Who has created you: further, He has provided for your sustenance; then He will cause you to die; and again He will give you life. Are there any of your (false) "Partners" who can do any single one of these things? Glory to Him! and high is He above the partners they attribute (to him)!
اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ ثُمَّ رَزَقَكُمْ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُكُمْ ثُمَّ يُحْيِيكُمْ ۖ هَلْ مِن شُرَكَائِكُم مَّن يَفْعَلُ مِن ذَٰلِكُم مِّن شَيْءٍ ۚ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ
মানুষের কৃতকর্মের দরুন স্থলে ও সমুদ্রে বিপর্যয় ছড়াইয়া পড়ে; যাহার ফলে উহাদেরকে উহাদের কোন কোন কর্মের শাস্তি তিনি আস্বাদন করান, যাহাতে উহারা ফিরিয়া আসে।
Mischief has appeared on land and sea because of (the meed) that the hands of men have earned, that (Allah) may give them a taste of some of their deeds: in order that they may turn back (from Evil).
ظَهَرَ الْفَسَادُ فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ أَيْدِي النَّاسِ لِيُذِيقَهُم بَعْضَ الَّذِي عَمِلُوا لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ
বল, ‘তোমরা পৃথিবীতে পরিভ্রমণ কর এবং দেখ তোমাদের পূর্ববর্তীদের পরিণাম কী হইয়াছে !’ উহাদের অধিকাংশই ছিল মুশরিক।
Say: "Travel through the earth and see what was the end of those before (you): Most of them worshipped others besides Allah."
قُلْ سِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَانظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلُ ۚ كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّشْرِكِينَ
তুমি সরল দীনে নিজকে প্রতিষ্ঠিত কর, পক্ষ হইতে যে দিবস অনিবার্য তাহা উপস্থিত হইবার পূর্বে, সেই দিন মানুষ বিভক্ত হইয়া পড়িবে।
But set thou thy face to the right Religion before there come from Allah the Day which there is no chance of averting: on that Day shall men be divided (in two).
فَأَقِمْ وَجْهَكَ لِلدِّينِ الْقَيِّمِ مِن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِيَ يَوْمٌ لَّا مَرَدَّ لَهُ مِنَ اللَّهِ ۖ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَصَّدَّعُونَ
যে করে, কুফরীর শাস্তিতাহারই প্রাপ্য; যাহারা সৎকর্ম করে তাহারা নিজেদেরই জন্য রচনা করে সুখশয্যা।
Those who reject Faith will suffer from that rejection: and those who work righteousness will spread their couch (of repose) for themselves (in heaven):
مَن كَفَرَ فَعَلَيْهِ كُفْرُهُ ۖ وَمَنْ عَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَلِأَنفُسِهِمْ يَمْهَدُونَ
কারণ যাহারা ঈমান আনে ও সৎকর্ম করে তাহাদেরকে নিজ অনুগ্রহে পুরস্কৃত করেন। তিনি কাফিরদেরকে পসন্দ করেন না।
That He may reward those who believe and work righteous deeds, out of his Bounty. For He loves not those who reject Faith.
لِيَجْزِيَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ مِن فَضْلِهِ ۚ إِنَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الْكَافِرِينَ
তাঁহার নিদর্শনাবলীর একটি যে, তিনি বায়ু প্রেরণ করেন সুসংবাদ দিবার জন্য ও তোমাদেরকে তাঁহার অনুগ্রহ আস্বাদন করাইবার জন্য; এবং যাহাতে তাঁহার নির্দেশে নৌযানগুলি বিচরণ করে, যাহাতে তোমরা তাঁহার অনুগ্রহ সন্ধান করিতে পার ও তাঁহার প্রতি কৃতজ্ঞ হও।
Among His Signs is this, that He sends the Winds, as heralds of Glad Tidings, giving you a taste of His (Grace and) Mercy, - that the ships may sail (majestically) by His Command and that ye may seek of His Bounty: in order that ye may be grateful.
وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ أَن يُرْسِلَ الرِّيَاحَ مُبَشِّرَاتٍ وَلِيُذِيقَكُم مِّن رَّحْمَتِهِ وَلِتَجْرِيَ الْفُلْكُ بِأَمْرِهِ وَلِتَبْتَغُوا مِن فَضْلِهِ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ
আমি তো তোমার পূর্বে রাসূলগণকে প্রেরণ করিয়াছিলাম তাহাদের নিজ নিজ সম্প্রদায়ের নিকট। তাহারা উহাদের নিকট সুস্পষ্ট নিদর্শন লইয়া আসিয়াছিল; অতঃপর আমি অপরাধীদেরকে শাস্তি দিয়াছিলাম। মু’মিনদেরকে সাহায্য করা আমার দায়িত্ব।
We did indeed send, before thee, messengers to their (respective) peoples, and they came to them with Clear Signs: then, to those who transgressed, We meted out Retribution: and it was due from Us to aid those who believed.
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ رُسُلًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِمْ فَجَاءُوهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَانتَقَمْنَا مِنَ الَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا ۖ وَكَانَ حَقًّا عَلَيْنَا نَصْرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
তিনি বায়ু প্রেরণ করেন, ফলে ইহা মেঘমালাকে সঞ্চালিত করে; অতঃপর তিনি ইহাকে যেমন ইচ্ছা আকাশে ছড়াইয়া দেন; পরে ইহাকে খণ্ড - বিখণ্ড করেন এবং তুমি দেখিতে পাও উহা হইতে নির্গত হয় বারিধারা; অতঃপর যখন তিনি তাঁহার বান্দাদের মধ্যে যাহাদের নিকট ইচ্ছা পৌঁছান; তখন উহার হয় হর্ষোৎফুল্ল,
It is Allah Who sends the Winds, and they raise the Clouds: then does He spread them in the sky as He wills, and break them into fragments, until thou seest rain - drops issue from the midst thereof: then when He has made them reach such of his servants as He wills behold, they do rejoice! -
اللَّهُ الَّذِي يُرْسِلُ الرِّيَاحَ فَتُثِيرُ سَحَابًا فَيَبْسُطُهُ فِي السَّمَاءِ كَيْفَ يَشَاءُ وَيَجْعَلُهُ كِسَفًا فَتَرَى الْوَدْقَ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ خِلَالِهِ ۖ فَإِذَا أَصَابَ بِهِ مَن يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ إِذَا هُمْ يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ
যদিও ইতিপূর্বে উহাদের প্রতি বৃষ্টি বর্ষণের আগে উহারা নিরাশ ছিল।
Even though, before they received (the rain) - just before this - they were dumb with despair!
وَإِن كَانُوا مِن قَبْلِ أَن يُنَزَّلَ عَلَيْهِم مِّن قَبْلِهِ لَمُبْلِسِينَ
অনুগ্রহের ফল সম্বন্ধে চিন্তা কর, কিভাবে তিনি ভূমিকে জীবিত করেন উহার মৃত্যুর
Then contemplate (O man!) the memorials of Allah's Mercy! - how He gives life to the earth after its death: verily the same will give life to the men who are dead: for He has power over all things.
فَانظُرْ إِلَىٰ آثَارِ رَحْمَتِ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ يُحْيِي الْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا ۚ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ لَمُحْيِي الْمَوْتَىٰ ۖ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
আর আমি যদি এমন বায়ু প্রেরণ করি যাহার ফলে উহারা দেখে শস্য পীতবর্ণ ধারণ করিয়াছে, তখন তো উহারা অকৃতজ্ঞ হইয়া পড়ে।
And if We (but) send a Wind from which they see (their tilth) turn yellow, - behold, they become, thereafter, Ungrateful (Unbelievers)!
وَلَئِنْ أَرْسَلْنَا رِيحًا فَرَأَوْهُ مُصْفَرًّا لَّظَلُّوا مِن بَعْدِهِ يَكْفُرُونَ
তুমি তো মৃতকে শোনাইতে পারিবে না, বধিরকেও পারিবে না আহ্বান শোনাইতে, যখন উহারা মুখ ফিরাইয়া চলিয়া যায়।
So verily thou canst not make the dead to hear, nor canst thou make the deaf to hear the call, when they show their backs and turn away.
فَإِنَّكَ لَا تُسْمِعُ الْمَوْتَىٰ وَلَا تُسْمِعُ الصُّمَّ الدُّعَاءَ إِذَا وَلَّوْا مُدْبِرِينَ
আর তুমি অন্ধকেও পথে আনিতে পারিবে না উহাদের পথভ্রষ্টতা হইতে। যাহারা আমার নিদর্শনাবলীতে বিশ্বাস করে শুধু তাহাদেরকেই তুমি শোনাইতে পারিবে, কারণ তাহারা আত্মসমর্পণকারী।
Nor canst thou lead back the blind from their straying: only those wilt thou make to hear, who believe in Our signs and submit (their wills in Islam).
وَمَا أَنتَ بِهَادِ الْعُمْيِ عَن ضَلَالَتِهِمْ ۖ إِن تُسْمِعُ إِلَّا مَن يُؤْمِنُ بِآيَاتِنَا فَهُم مُّسْلِمُونَ
তিনি তোমাদেরকে সৃষ্টি করেন দুর্বল অবস্থায়, দুর্বলতার পর তিনি দেন শক্তি ; শক্তির পর আবার দেন দুর্বলতা ও বার্ধক্য। তিনি যাহা ইচ্ছা সৃষ্টি করেন এবং তিনিই সর্বজ্ঞ, সর্বশক্তিমান।
It is Allah Who created you in a state of (helpless) weakness, then gave (you) strength after weakness, then, after strength, gave (you weakness and a hoary head: He creates as He wills, and it is He Who has all knowledge and power.
۞ اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُم مِّن ضَعْفٍ ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِن بَعْدِ ضَعْفٍ قُوَّةً ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِن بَعْدِ قُوَّةٍ ضَعْفًا وَشَيْبَةً ۚ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَاءُ ۖ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيمُ الْقَدِيرُ
যেদিন কিয়ামত হইবে সেদিন অপরাধীরা শপথ করিয়া বলিবে যে, তাহারা মুহূর্তকালের বেশি অবস্থান করে নাই। এইভাবেই তাহারা সত্যভ্রষ্ট হইত।
On the Day that the Hour (of Reckoning) will be established, the transgressors will swear that they tarried not but an hour: thus were they used to being deluded!
وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ يُقْسِمُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ مَا لَبِثُوا غَيْرَ سَاعَةٍ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ كَانُوا يُؤْفَكُونَ
কিন্তু যাহাদেরকে জ্ঞান ও ঈমান দেওয়া হইয়াছে তাহারা বলিবে, ‘তোমরা তো বিধানে পুনরুত্থান দিবস পর্যন্ত অবস্থান করিয়াছ। ইহাই তো পুনরুত্থান দিবস, কিন্তু তোমরা জানিতে না।’
But those endued with knowledge and faith will say: "Indeed ye did tarry, within Allah's Decree, to the Day of Resurrection, and this is the Day of Resurrection: but ye - ye were not aware!"
وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ وَالْإِيمَانَ لَقَدْ لَبِثْتُمْ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الْبَعْثِ ۖ فَهَٰذَا يَوْمُ الْبَعْثِ وَلَٰكِنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
সেই দিন সীমালংঘনকারীদের ওযর - আপত্তি উহাদের কাজে আসিবে না এবং উহাদেরকে তওবা করে আল্লাহর সন্তুষ্টি লাভরে সুযােগও তাদরে দয়ো হবে না।
So on that Day no excuse of theirs will avail the transgressors, nor will they be invited (then) to seek grace (by repentance).
فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يَنفَعُ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مَعْذِرَتُهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُسْتَعْتَبُونَ
আমি তো মানুষের জন্য এই কুরআনে সর্বপ্রকার দৃষ্টান্ত দিয়াছি। তুমি যদি উহাদের নিকট কোন নিদর্শন উপস্থিত কর, কাফিররা অবশ্যই বলিবে, ‘তোমরা তো মিথ্যাশ্রয়ী।’
verily We have propounded for men, in this Qur'an every kind of Parable: But if thou bring to them any Sign, the Unbelievers are sure to say, "Ye do nothing but talk vanities."
وَلَقَدْ ضَرَبْنَا لِلنَّاسِ فِي هَٰذَا الْقُرْآنِ مِن كُلِّ مَثَلٍ ۚ وَلَئِن جِئْتَهُم بِآيَةٍ لَّيَقُولَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا مُبْطِلُونَ
এমনিভাবে জ্ঞানহীনদের হৃদয় মােহরাঙ্কতি করে দনে।
Thus does Allah seal up the hearts of those who understand not.
كَذَٰلِكَ يَطْبَعُ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِ الَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
অতএব তুমি ধৈর্য্ ধারণ কর, নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহর প্রতিশ্রুতি সত্য। যাহারা দৃঢ় নয় তাহারা যেন তোমাকে বিচলিত করিতে না পারে।
So patiently persevere: for verily the promise of Allah is true: nor let those shake thy firmness, who have (themselves) no certainty of faith.
فَاصْبِرْ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ ۖ وَلَا يَسْتَخِفَّنَّكَ الَّذِينَ لَا يُوقِنُونَ
