সমকালীন বাংলা
৯৩–১ : আল্লাহর নামে শুরু করছি, পরম করুণাময় পরম দয়ালু; শপথ সকালের উজ্জ্বল আলোর,

By the Glorious Morning Light,
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
শপথ আলোকময় দিনের (বা পূর্বাহ্নের)।
Saheeh International
By the morning brightness
Word by word
وَٱلضُّحَىٰ
সমকালীন বাংলা
এবং রাতের, যখন তা নিস্তব্ধ হয়;

And by the Night when it is still, -
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
শপথ রাতের যখন সে অন্ধকারের ছায়া বিস্তার করে নিস্তব্ধ হয়ে পড়ে।
Saheeh International
And [by] the night when it covers with darkness,

وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ
সমকালীন বাংলা
তোমার প্রতিপালক তোমাকে পরিত্যাগ করেননি, এবং তিনি অসন্তুষ্টও নন,
Yusuf Ali
Thy Guardian - Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তোমার প্রভু তোমাকে বিদায় (ত্যাগ) করেননি এবং অসন্তুষ্টও হননি (তোমার প্রতি)।
Saheeh International
Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you].

مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ
সমকালীন বাংলা
এবং নিশ্চয়ই পরবর্তী সময় তোমার জন্য পূর্বের চেয়েও উত্তম,

And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
আর নিশ্চয়ই (শেষকাল) তোমার জন্যে উত্তম প্রথম কাল থেকে।
Saheeh International
And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life].

وَلَلْءَاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ
সমকালীন বাংলা
এবং অবশ্যই তোমার প্রতিপালক তোমাকে দান করবেন, ফলে তুমি সন্তুষ্ট হবে;
Yusuf Ali
And soon will thy Guardian - Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well - pleased.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
শীঘ্রি তোমার প্রভু তোমাকে দান করবেন (বিপুল কল্যাণ), তাতে সন্তুষ্ট হয়ে যাবে তুমি।
Saheeh International
And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied.

وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰٓ
সমকালীন বাংলা
তিনি কি তোমাকে এতিম অবস্থায় পাননি, অতঃপর আশ্রয় দিয়েছেন?
Yusuf Ali
Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)?
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তিনি কি তোমাকে এতিম পাননি, আর আশ্রয় দেননি?
Saheeh International
Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge?

أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًا فَـَٔاوَىٰ
সমকালীন বাংলা
এবং তিনি তোমাকে পথহারা অবস্থায় পেয়েছিলেন, অতঃপর পথনির্দেশ দিয়েছেন,
Yusuf Ali
And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তিনি কি তোমাকে (ঈমান এবং কিতাব) সম্পর্কে অনবহিত পাননি , অতপর সঠিক পথ দেখাননি?
Saheeh International
And He found you lost and guided [you],

وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلًّا فَهَدَىٰ
সমকালীন বাংলা
এবং তিনি তোমাকে অভাবগ্রস্ত অবস্থায় পেয়েছিলেন, অতঃপর সমৃদ্ধ করেছেন,
Yusuf Ali
And He found thee in need, and made thee independent.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তিনি কি তোমাকে পাননি দরিদ্র, তারপর দান করেননি প্রাচুর্য?
Saheeh International
And He found you poor and made [you] self - sufficient.

وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلًا فَأَغْنَىٰ
সমকালীন বাংলা
অতএব এতিমের প্রতি কঠোর হয়ো না,
Yusuf Ali
Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness,
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তাই, তুমি কঠোর আচরণ করোনা এতিমদের প্রতি,
Saheeh International
So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him].

فَأَمَّا ٱلْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ
সমকালীন বাংলা
এবং সাহায্যপ্রার্থীকে তিরস্কার করো না,
Yusuf Ali
Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard);
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
এবং ভৎর্সনা করোনা ভিক্ষুককে।
Saheeh International
And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him].

وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ
সমকালীন বাংলা
এবং তোমার প্রতিপালকের অনুগ্রহের কথা প্রচার কর।
Yusuf Ali
But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim!
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
আর তোমার প্রভুর নিয়ামতের (নবুয়্যত, ঈমান এবং কিতাবের) কথা প্রচার ও প্রকাশ করতে থাকো।
Saheeh International
But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it].

وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ
