In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. Say (O Muhammad): It is revealed unto me that a company of the Jinn gave ear, and they said: Lo! we have heard a marvellous Qur'an,

বল, ‘আমার প্রতি ওহী প্রেরিত হইয়াছে যে, জিনদের একটি দল মনোযোগ সহকারে শ্রবণ করিয়াছে এবং বলিয়াছে, ‘আমরা তো এক বিস্ময়কর কুরআন শ্রবণ করিয়াছি,
Saheeh International
It guides to the right course, and we have believed in it. And we will never associate with our Lord anyone.
Transliteration
Yahdee ila alrrushdi faamanna bihi walan nushrika birabbina ahadan
Pickthall
Which guideth unto righteousness, so we believe in it and we ascribe no partner unto our Lord.

‘যাহা সঠিক পথনির্দেশ করে; ফলে আমরা ইহাতে বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করিয়াছি। আমরা কখনও আমাদের প্রতিপালকের কোন শরীক স্থির করিব না,
Saheeh International
And [it teaches] that exalted is the nobleness of our Lord; He has not taken a wife or a son
Transliteration
Waannahu taAAala jaddu rabbina ma ittakhatha sahibatan wala waladan
Pickthall
And (we believe) that He - exalted be the glory of our Lord! - hath taken neither wife nor son,

‘এবং নিশ্চয়ই সমুচ্চ আমাদের প্রতিপালকের মর্যাদা ; তিনি গ্রহণ করেন নাই কোন পত্নী এবং না কোন সন্তান।
Saheeh International
And that our foolish one has been saying about Allah an excessive transgression.
Transliteration
Waannahu kana yaqoolu safeehuna AAala Allahi shatatan
Pickthall
And that the foolish one among us used to speak concerning Allah an atrocious lie.

‘এবং আরও এই যে, আমাদের মধ্যকার নির্বোধেরা র সম্বন্ধে অতি অবাস্তব উক্তি করিত।
Saheeh International
And we had thought that mankind and the jinn would never speak about Allah a lie.
Transliteration
Waannathananna an lan taqoola alinsu waaljinnu AAala Allahi kathiban
Pickthall
And lo! we had supposed that humankind and jinn would not speak a lie concerning Allah -
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
‘অথচ আমরা মনে করিতাম মানুষ ও জিন সম্বন্ধে কখনও মিথ্যা আরোপ করিবে না।
Saheeh International
And there were men from mankind who sought refuge in men from the jinn, so they [only] increased them in burden.
Transliteration
Waannahu kana rijalun mina alinsi yaAAoothoona birijalin mina aljinni fazadoohum rahaqan
Pickthall
And indeed (O Muhammad) individuals of humankind used to invoke the protection of individuals of the jinn, so that they increased them in revolt against Allah);

‘আরও এই যে, কতিপয় মানুষ কতক জিনের শরণ লইত, ফলে উহারা জিনদের আত্মম্ভরিতা বাড়াইয়া দিত।’
Saheeh International
And they had thought, as you thought, that Allah would never send anyone [as a messenger].
Transliteration
Waannahum thannoo kamathanantum an lan yabAAatha Allahu ahadan
Pickthall
And indeed they supposed, even as ye suppose, that Allah would not raise anyone (from the dead) -

আরও এই যে, জিনেরা বলিয়াছিল, ‘তোমাদের মত মানুষও মনে করে যে, মৃত্যুর পর কাহাকেও পুনরুত্থিত করিবেন না।
Saheeh International
And we have sought [to reach] the heaven but found it filled with powerful guards and burning flames.
And (the Jinn who had listened to the Qur'an said): We had sought the heaven but had found it filled with strong warders and meteors.

‘এবং আমরা চাহিয়াছিলাম আকাশের তথ্য সংগ্রহ করিতে কিন্তু আমরা দেখিতে পাইলাম কঠোর প্রহরী ও উল্কাপিণ্ড দ্বারা আকাশ পরিপূর্ণ ;
Saheeh International
And we used to sit therein in positions for hearing, but whoever listens now will find a burning flame lying in wait for him.
Transliteration
Waanna kunna naqAAudu minha maqaAAida lilssamAAi faman yastamiAAi alana yajid lahu shihaban rasadan
Pickthall
And we used to sit on places (high) therein to listen. But he who listeneth now findeth a flame in wait for him;

‘আর পূর্বে আমরা আকাশের বিভিন্ন ঘাঁটিতে সংবাদ শুনিবার জন্য বসিতাম কিন্তু এখন কেহ সংবাদ শুনিতে চাহিলে সে তাহার উপর নিক্ষেপের জন্য প্রস্তুত জ্বলন্ত উল্কাপিণ্ডের সম্মুখীন হয়।
Saheeh International
And we do not know [therefore] whether evil is intended for those on earth or whether their Lord intends for them a right course.
Transliteration
Waanna la nadree asharrun oreeda biman fee alardi am arada bihim rabbuhum rashadan
Pickthall
And we know not whether harm is boded unto all who are in the earth, or whether their Lord intendeth guidance for them.

‘আমরা জানি না জগদ্বাসীর অমঙ্গলই অভিপ্রেত, না তাহাদের প্রতিপালক তাহাদের মঙ্গল চান।
Saheeh International
And among us are the righteous, and among us are [others] not so; we were [of] divided ways.
Transliteration
Waanna minna alssalihoona waminna doona thalika kunnataraiqa qidadan
Pickthall
And among us there are righteous folk and among us there are far from that. We are sects having different rules.

‘এবং আমাদের কতক সৎকর্মপরায়ণ এবং কতক ইহার ব্যতিক্রম, আমরা ছিলাম বিভিন্ন পথের অনুসারী;
Saheeh International
And we have become certain that we will never cause failure to Allah upon earth, nor can we escape Him by flight.
Transliteration
Wannathananna an lan nuAAjiza Allaha fee alardi walan nuAAjizahu haraban
Pickthall
And we know that we cannot escape from Allah in the earth, nor can we escape by flight.

‘এখন আমরা বুঝিয়াছি যে, আমরা পৃথিবীতে কে পরাভূত করিতে পারিব না এবং পলায়ন করিয়াও তাঁহাকে ব্যর্থ করিতে পারিব না।
Saheeh International
And when we heard the guidance, we believed in it. And whoever believes in his Lord will not fear deprivation or burden.
And when we heard the guidance, we believed therein, and whoso believeth in his Lord, he feareth neither loss nor oppression.
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
‘আমরা যখন পথনির্দেশক বাণী শুনিলাম তাহাতে বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করিলাম। যে ব্যক্তি তাহার প্রতিপালকের প্রতি ঈমান আনে তাহার কোন ক্ষতি ও কোন অন্যায়ের আশংকা থাকিবে না।
Saheeh International
And among us are Muslims [in submission to Allah], and among us are the unjust. And whoever has become Muslim - those have sought out the right course.
Transliteration
Waanna minna almuslimoona waminna alqasitoona faman aslama faolaika taharraw rashadan
Pickthall
And there are among us some who have surrendered (to Allah) and there are among us some who are unjust. And whoso hath surrendered to Allah, such have taken the right path purposefully.
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
‘আমাদের কতক আত্মসমর্পণকারী এবং কতক সীমালংঘনকারী ; যাহারা আত্মসর্মপণ করে তাহারা সুচিন্তিতভাবে সত্যপথ বাছিয়া নেয়।
Saheeh International
But as for the unjust, they will be, for Hell, firewood.'
Transliteration
Waama alqasitoona fakanoo lijahannama hataban
Pickthall
And as for those who are unjust, they are firewood for hell.
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
‘অপরপক্ষে সীমালংঘন - কারী তো জাহান্নামেরই ইন্ধন।’
Saheeh International
And [Allah revealed] that if they had remained straight on the way, We would have given them abundant provision
Transliteration
Waallawi istaqamoo AAala alttareeqati laasqaynahum maan ghadaqan
Pickthall
If they (the idolaters) tread the right path, We shall give them to drink of water in abundance

উহারা যদি সত্যপথে প্রতিষ্ঠিত থাকিত উহাদেরকে আমি প্রচুর বারি বর্ষণের মাধ্যমে সমৃদ্ধ করিতাম,
Saheeh International
So We might test them therein. And whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord He will put into arduous punishment.
And when the slave of Allah stood up in prayer to Him, they crowded on him, almost stifling.

আর এই যে, যখন র বান্দা তাঁহাকে ডাকিবার জন্য দণ্ডায়মান হইল তখন তাহারা তাহার নিকট ভিড় জমাইল।
Saheeh International
Say, [O Muhammad], "I only invoke my Lord and do not associate with Him anyone."
Transliteration
Qul innama adAAoo rabbee wala oshriku bihi ahadan
Pickthall
Say (unto them, O Muhammad): I pray unto Allah only, and ascribe unto Him no partner.

বল, ‘আমি আমার প্রতিপালককেই ডাকি এবং তাঁহার সঙ্গে কাহাকেও শরীক করি না।’
Saheeh International
Say, "Indeed, I do not possess for you [the power of] harm or right direction."
Transliteration
Qul innee la amliku lakum darran wala rashadan
Pickthall
Say: Lo! I control not hurt nor benefit for you.

বল, ‘আমি তোমাদের ইষ্ট - অনিষ্টের মালিক নই।’
Saheeh International
Say, "Indeed, there will never protect me from Allah anyone [if I should disobey], nor will I find in other than Him a refuge.
Transliteration
Qul innee lan yujeeranee mina Allahi ahadun walan ajida min doonihi multahadan
Pickthall
Say: Lo! none can protect me from Allah, nor can I find any refuge beside Him

বল, র শাস্তি হইতে কেহই আমাকে রক্ষা করিতে পারিবে না এবং ব্যতীত আমি কোন আশ্রয়ও পাইব না,
Saheeh International
But [I have for you] only notification from Allah, and His messages." And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger - then indeed, for him is the fire of Hell; they will abide therein forever.
Transliteration
Illa balaghan mina Allahi warisalatihi waman yaAAsi Allaha warasoolahu fainna lahu nara jahannama khalideena feeha abadan
Pickthall
(Mine is) but conveyance (of the Truth) from Allah, and His messages; and whoso disobeyeth Allah and His messenger, lo! his is fire of hell, wherein such dwell for ever.

‘কেবল র পক্ষ হইতে পৌঁছান এবং তাঁহার বাণী প্রচারই আমার দায়িত্ব। যাহারা ও তাঁহার রাসূলকে অমান্য করে তাহাদের জন্য রহিয়াছে জাহান্নামের অগ্নি, সেখানে তাহারা চিরস্থায়ী হইবে।
Saheeh International
[The disbelievers continue] until, when they see that which they are promised, then they will know who is weaker in helpers and less in number.
Transliteration
Hatta itha raaw ma yooAAadoona fasayaAAlamoona man adAAafu nasiran waaqallu AAadadan
Pickthall
Till (the day) when they shall behold that which they are promised (they may doubt); but then they will know (for certain) who is weaker in allies and less in multitude.

যখন উহারা প্রতিশ্রুতি শাস্তি প্রত্যক্ষ করিবে, বুঝিতে পারিবে, কে সাহায্যকারীর দিক দিয়া দুর্বল এবং কে সংখ্যায় স্বল্প।
Saheeh International
Say, "I do not know if what you are promised is near or if my Lord will grant for it a [long] period."
Transliteration
Qul in adree aqareebun ma tooAAadoona am yajAAalu lahu rabbee amadan
Pickthall
Say (O Muhammad, unto the disbelievers): I know not whether that which ye are promised is nigh, or if my Lord hath set a distant term for it.
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
বল, ‘আমি জানি না তোমাদেরকে যে প্রতিশ্রুতি দেওয়া হইয়াছে তাহা কি আসন্ন, না আমার প্রতিপালক ইহার জন্য কোন দীর্ঘ মেয়াদ স্থির করিবেন?’
Saheeh International
[He is] Knower of the unseen, and He does not disclose His [knowledge of the] unseen to anyone
Transliteration
AAalimu alghaybi fala yuthhiru AAala ghaybihi ahadan
Pickthall
(He is) the Knower of the Unseen, and He revealeth unto none His secret,
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
তিনি অদৃশ্যের পরিজ্ঞাতা, তিনি তাঁহার অদৃশ্যের জ্ঞান কাহারও নিকট প্রকাশ করেন না,
Saheeh International
Except whom He has approved of messengers, and indeed, He sends before each messenger and behind him observers
Transliteration
Illa mani irtada min rasoolin fainnahu yasluku min bayni yadayhi wamin khalfihi rasadan
Pickthall
Save unto every messenger whom He hath chosen, and then He maketh a guard to go before him and a guard behind him

তাঁহার মনোনীত রাসূল ব্যতীত। সেই ক্ষেত্রে রাসূলের অগ্রে এবং পশ্চাতে প্রহরী নিয়োজিত করেন,
Saheeh International
That he may know that they have conveyed the messages of their Lord; and He has encompassed whatever is with them and has enumerated all things in number.
Transliteration
LiyaAAlama an qad ablaghoo risalati rabbihim waahata bima ladayhim waahsa kulla shayin AAadadan
Pickthall
That He may know that they have indeed conveyed the messages of their Lord. He surroundeth all their doings, and He keepeth count of all things.
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
রাসূলগণ তাহাদের প্রতিপালকের বাণী পৌঁছাইয়া দিয়াছেন কি না জানিবার জন্য। রাসূলগণের নিকট যাহা আছে তাহা তাঁহার জ্ঞানগোচর এবং তিনি সমস্ত কিছুর বিস্তারিত হিসাব রাখেন।
