Chapter 36, 83 verses
Ya, Seen.
ইয়াসিন!
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. Ya Sin.
يسٓ
By the wise Qur'an.
শপথ বিজ্ঞানময় কুরআনের,
By the wise Qur'an,
وَٱلْقُرْءَانِ ٱلْحَكِيمِ
Indeed you, [O Muhammad], are from among the messengers,
অবশ্য অবশ্যি তুমি রসূলদের একজন,
Lo! thou art of those sent
إِنَّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
On a straight path.
(প্রতিষ্ঠিত আছো) সিরাতুল মুস্তাকিমের উপর।
On a straight path,
عَلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ
[This is] a revelation of the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,
(এই কুরআন) নাযিল হচ্ছে মহাশক্তিধর অতীব দয়াবানের পক্ষ থেকে,
A revelation of the Mighty, the Merciful,
تَنزِيلَ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
That you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are unaware.
যাতে তুমি সতর্ক করতে পারো এমন একটি কওমকে, যাদের পূর্ব পুরুষদের সতর্ক করা হয়নি। ফলে তারা গাফিল (অসতর্ক)।
That thou mayst warn a folk whose fathers were not warned, so they are heedless.
لِتُنذِرَ قَوْمًا مَّآ أُنذِرَ ءَابَآؤُهُمْ فَهُمْ غَٰفِلُونَ
Already the word has come into effect upon most of them, so they do not believe.
তাদের অধিকাংশের জন্যে সেই বাণী (শাস্তি) অবধারিত হয়ে গেছে, ফলে তারা আর ঈমান আনবেনা।
Already hath the judgment, (for their infidelity) proved true of most of them, for they believe not.
لَقَدْ حَقَّ ٱلْقَوْلُ عَلَىٰٓ أَكْثَرِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
Indeed, We have put shackles on their necks, and they are to their chins, so they are with heads [kept] aloft.
আমরা চিবুক পর্যন্ত তাদের গলায় বেড়ি পরিয়ে দিয়েছি, ফলে তারা ঊর্ধ্বমুখী হয়ে আছে।
Lo! We have put on their necks carcans reaching unto the chins, so that they are made stiff - necked.
إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا فِىٓ أَعْنَٰقِهِمْ أَغْلَٰلًا فَهِىَ إِلَى ٱلْأَذْقَانِ فَهُم مُّقْمَحُونَ
And We have put before them a barrier and behind them a barrier and covered them, so they do not see.
আমরা তাদের সামনে প্রাচীর এবং পেছনেও প্রাচীর স্থাপন করে দিয়েছি, আর তাদের চোখে সৃষ্টি করে দিয়েছি আবরণ, ফলে তারা দেখতে পায়না।
And We have set a bar before them and a bar behind them, and (thus) have covered them so that they see not.
وَجَعَلْنَا مِنۢ بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ سَدًّا وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ سَدًّا فَأَغْشَيْنَٰهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُبْصِرُونَ
And it is all the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them - they will not believe.
তুমি তাদের সতর্ক করো কিংবা সতর্ক না করো দুটোই তাদের জন্যে সমান, তারা ঈমান আনবেনা।
Whether thou warn them or thou warn them not, it is alike for them, for they believe not.
وَسَوَآءٌ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَأَنذَرْتَهُمْ أَمْ لَمْ تُنذِرْهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
You can only warn one who follows the message and fears the Most Merciful unseen. So give him good tidings of forgiveness and noble reward.
তুমি তো সতর্ক করতে পারো তাকে, যে আয্ যিকির (আল কুরআন) - এর অনুসরণ করে এবং না দেখেও দয়াময় রহমানকে ভয় করে। তাকে সুসংবাদ দাও মাগফিরাতের আর সম্মানজনক পুরস্কারের।
Thou warnest only him who followeth the Reminder and feareth the Beneficent in secret. To him bear tidings of forgiveness and a rich reward.
إِنَّمَا تُنذِرُ مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَ ٱلذِّكْرَ وَخَشِىَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنَ بِٱلْغَيْبِ فَبَشِّرْهُ بِمَغْفِرَةٍ وَأَجْرٍ كَرِيمٍ
Indeed, it is We who bring the dead to life and record what they have put forth and what they left behind, and all things We have enumerated in a clear register.
আমরা অবশ্যি মৃতদের জীবিত করবো, আর আমরা তো লিখে রাখি তারা যা আগে পাঠায় আর যা পেছনে রেখে যায়। প্রতিটি বস্তুই আমরা স্পষ্ট কিতাবে (রেকর্ড পত্রে) সংরক্ষিত রেখেছি।
Lo! We it is Who bring the dead to life. We record that which they send before (them, and their footprints. And all things We have kept in a clear Register.
إِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْىِ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ وَنَكْتُبُ مَا قَدَّمُوا۟ وَءَاثَٰرَهُمْ وَكُلَّ شَىْءٍ أَحْصَيْنَٰهُ فِىٓ إِمَامٍ مُّبِينٍ
And present to them an example: the people of the city, when the messengers came to it -
তাদের কাছে বর্ণনা করো দৃষ্টান্ত সেই জনপদের বাসিন্দাদের, যখন তাদের কাছে রসূলরা এসেছিল।
Coin for them a similitude: The people of the city when those sent (from Allah) came unto them;
وَٱضْرِبْ لَهُم مَّثَلًا أَصْحَٰبَ ٱلْقَرْيَةِ إِذْ جَآءَهَا ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ
When We sent to them two but they denied them, so We strengthened them with a third, and they said, "Indeed, we are messengers to you."
যখন তাদের কাছে আমরা পাঠিয়েছিলাম দুজন রসূল, তারা দুজনকেই প্রত্যাখ্যান করেছিল। তখন আমরা তাদের শক্তিশালী করেছিলাম তৃতীয় একজনকে পাঠিয়ে। তারা তাদের বলেছিল: ‘আমরা তোমাদের প্রতি আল্লাহর প্রেরিত রসূল।’
When We sent unto them twain, and they denied them both, so We reinforced them with a third, and they said: Lo! we have been sent unto you.
إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَيْهِمُ ٱثْنَيْنِ فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا فَعَزَّزْنَا بِثَالِثٍ فَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّآ إِلَيْكُم مُّرْسَلُونَ
They said, "You are not but human beings like us, and the Most Merciful has not revealed a thing. You are only telling lies."
(বিরোধী পক্ষ) বললো: ‘তোমরা তো আমাদের মতোই মানুষ ছাড়া আর কিছু নও, রহমান তোমাদের প্রতি কিছুই নাযিল করেননি। তোমরা তো কেবল মিথ্যা কথাই বলছো।’
They said: Ye are but mortals like unto us. The Beneficent hath naught revealed. Ye do but lie!
قَالُوا۟ مَآ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُنَا وَمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ مِن شَىْءٍ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا تَكْذِبُونَ
They said, "Our Lord knows that we are messengers to you,
তারা বললো: ‘আমাদের প্রভু জানেন, আমরা তোমাদের প্রতি প্রেরিত রসূল।
They answered: Our Lord knoweth that we are indeed sent unto you,
قَالُوا۟ رَبُّنَا يَعْلَمُ إِنَّآ إِلَيْكُمْ لَمُرْسَلُونَ
And we are not responsible except for clear notification."
সুস্পষ্টভাবে বার্তা পৌঁছে দেয়াই আমাদের দায়িত্ব।’
And our duty is but plain conveyance (of the message).
وَمَا عَلَيْنَآ إِلَّا ٱلْبَلَٰغُ ٱلْمُبِينُ
They said, "Indeed, we consider you a bad omen. If you do not desist, we will surely stone you, and there will surely touch you, from us, a painful punishment."
তারা বললো: ‘আমরা তোমাদের কুলক্ষণে মনে করি। তোমরা যদি বিরত না হও, আমরা অবশ্যি তোমাদের পাথর নিক্ষেপ করে হত্যা করবো এবং আমাদের পক্ষ থেকে তোমাদের স্পর্শ করবে বেদনাদায়ক আযাব।’
(The people of the city) said: We augur ill of you. If ye desist not, we shall surely stone you, and grievous torture will befall you at our hands.
قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا تَطَيَّرْنَا بِكُمْ لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهُوا۟ لَنَرْجُمَنَّكُمْ وَلَيَمَسَّنَّكُم مِّنَّا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
They said, "Your omen is with yourselves. Is it because you were reminded? Rather, you are a transgressing people."
তারা (রসূলরা) বললো: ‘তোমাদের কুলক্ষণ তোমাদেরই সাথে। এটা কি এজন্যে যে, আমরা তোমাদের উপদেশ দিয়ে যাচ্ছি? বরং তোমরা একটি সীমালংঘনকারী কওম (জাতি)।’
They said: Your evil augury be with you! Is it because ye are reminded (of the truth) ? Nay, but ye are froward folk!
قَالُوا۟ طَٰٓئِرُكُم مَّعَكُمْ أَئِن ذُكِّرْتُم بَلْ أَنتُمْ قَوْمٌ مُّسْرِفُونَ
And there came from the farthest end of the city a man, running. He said, "O my people, follow the messengers.
নগর প্রান্ত থেকে এক ব্যক্তি দৌড়ে এলো। সে বললো: ‘‘হে আমার কওম! তোমরা রসূলদের অনুসরণ করো,
And there came from the uttermost part of the city a man running. He cried: O my people! Follow those who have been sent!
وَجَآءَ مِنْ أَقْصَا ٱلْمَدِينَةِ رَجُلٌ يَسْعَىٰ قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ ٱتَّبِعُوا۟ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
Follow those who do not ask of you [any] payment, and they are [rightly] guided.
তোমরা তাদের ইত্তেবা (অনুসরণ) করো, যারা তোমাদের কাছে কোনো প্রতিদান চান না এবং যারা হিদায়াতপ্রাপ্ত।
Follow those who ask of you no fee, and who are rightly guided.
ٱتَّبِعُوا۟ مَن لَّا يَسْـَٔلُكُمْ أَجْرًا وَهُم مُّهْتَدُونَ
And why should I not worship He who created me and to whom you will be returned?
কী কারণে আমি তাঁর ইবাদত করবো না, যিনি আমাকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন এবং যাঁর কাছে তোমাদের ফিরিয়ে নেয়া হবে?
For what cause should I not serve Him Who hath created me, and unto Whom ye will be brought back ?
وَمَا لِىَ لَآ أَعْبُدُ ٱلَّذِى فَطَرَنِى وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ
Should I take other than Him [false] deities [while], if the Most Merciful intends for me some adversity, their intercession will not avail me at all, nor can they save me?
আমি কি তাঁর পরিবর্তে অন্য ইলাহ্ গ্রহণ করবো? রহমান যদি আমার ক্ষতি করতে চান, তবে তাদের সুপারিশ আমার কোনো কাজে আসবেনা এবং তারা আমাকে রক্ষাও করতে পারবেনা।
Shall I take (other) gods in place of Him when, if the Beneficent should wish me any harm, their intercession will avail me naught, nor can they save ?
ءَأَتَّخِذُ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ ءَالِهَةً إِن يُرِدْنِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ بِضُرٍّ لَّا تُغْنِ عَنِّى شَفَٰعَتُهُمْ شَيْـًٔا وَلَا يُنقِذُونِ
Indeed, I would then be in manifest error.
এমনটি করলে তো আমি নিমজ্জিত হবো সুস্পষ্ট গোমরাহিতে।
Then truly I should be in error manifest.
إِنِّىٓ إِذًا لَّفِى ضَلَٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ
Indeed, I have believed in your Lord, so listen to me."
আমি তোমাদের প্রভুর প্রতি ঈমান আনলাম, তোমরা আমার কথা মেনে নাও!’’
Lo! I have believed in your Lord, so hear me!
إِنِّىٓ ءَامَنتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ فَٱسْمَعُونِ
It was said, "Enter Paradise." He said, "I wish my people could know
তাকে বলা হলো: ‘দাখিল হও জান্নাতে।’ সে বলে উঠলো: ‘হায়, আমার কওম যদি জানতে পারতো
It was said (unto him): Enter paradise. He said: Would that my people knew
قِيلَ ٱدْخُلِ ٱلْجَنَّةَ قَالَ يَٰلَيْتَ قَوْمِى يَعْلَمُونَ
Of how my Lord has forgiven me and placed me among the honored."
কী কারণে আমার প্রভু আমাকে ক্ষমা করেছেন এবং আমাকে সম্মানিতদের অন্তরভুক্ত করেছেন।’
With what (munificence) my Lord hath pardoned me and made me of the honoured ones!
بِمَا غَفَرَ لِى رَبِّى وَجَعَلَنِى مِنَ ٱلْمُكْرَمِينَ
And We did not send down upon his people after him any soldiers from the heaven, nor would We have done so.
আমরা তার (মৃত্যুর) পর তার জাতির বিরুদ্ধে আসমান থেকে কোনো বাহিনী নাযিল করিনি আর আমরা নাযিল করতামও না।
We sent not down against his people after him a host from heaven, nor do We ever send.
وَمَآ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ مِن جُندٍ مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَمَا كُنَّا مُنزِلِينَ
It was not but one shout, and immediately they were extinguished.
একটা মহাবিকট শব্দই যথেষ্ট ছিলো, সাথে সাথে তারা নিথর হয়ে গেলো।
It was but one Shout, and lo! they were extinct.
إِن كَانَتْ إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَٰحِدَةً فَإِذَا هُمْ خَٰمِدُونَ
How regretful for the servants. There did not come to them any messenger except that they used to ridicule him.
পরিতাপ বান্দাদের জন্যে! যখনই তাদের কাছে কোনো রসূল এসেছে, তারা তাদের নিয়ে বিদ্রুপ করেছে।
Ah, the anguish for the bondmen! Never came there unto them a messenger but they did mock him!
يَٰحَسْرَةً عَلَى ٱلْعِبَادِ مَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
Have they not considered how many generations We destroyed before them - that they to them will not return?
তারা কি দেখেনা তাদের আগে আমরা কতো প্রজন্মকে ধ্বংস করে দিয়েছিলাম! তারা আর তাদের মাঝে ফিরে আসবেনা।
Have they not seen how many generations We destroyed before them, which indeed returned not unto them;
أَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّنَ ٱلْقُرُونِ أَنَّهُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ لَا يَرْجِعُونَ
And indeed, all of them will yet be brought present before Us.
তবে অবশ্যি তাদের সবাইকে একত্রে আমার কাছে হাজির করা হবে।
But all, without exception, will be brought before Us.
وَإِن كُلٌّ لَّمَّا جَمِيعٌ لَّدَيْنَا مُحْضَرُونَ
And a sign for them is the dead earth. We have brought it to life and brought forth from it grain, and from it they eat.
তাদের জন্যে একটি নিদর্শন হলো মৃত জমিন, আমরা তাকে জীবিত করি এবং তা থেকে বের করে আনি শস্য, যা থেকে তারা খায়।
A token unto them is the dead earth. We revive it, and We bring forth from it grain so that they eat thereof;
وَءَايَةٌ لَّهُمُ ٱلْأَرْضُ ٱلْمَيْتَةُ أَحْيَيْنَٰهَا وَأَخْرَجْنَا مِنْهَا حَبًّا فَمِنْهُ يَأْكُلُونَ
And We placed therein gardens of palm trees and grapevines and caused to burst forth therefrom some springs -
তাতে আমরা সৃষ্টি করি খেজুর আর আঙুরের বাগান এবং তাতে আমরা জারি করে দেই ঝরণাধারা,
And We have placed therein gardens of the date - palm and grapes, and We have caused springs of water to gush forth therein,
وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا جَنَّٰتٍ مِّن نَّخِيلٍ وَأَعْنَٰبٍ وَفَجَّرْنَا فِيهَا مِنَ ٱلْعُيُونِ
That they may eat of His fruit. And their hands have not produced it, so will they not be grateful?
যাতে করে তারা খেতে পারে তার ফল। অথচ তাদের হাত তা সৃষ্টি করেনি। তবু কি তোমরা শোকর আদায় করবেনা?
That they may eat of the fruit thereof, and their hands made it not. Will they not, then, give thanks ?
لِيَأْكُلُوا۟ مِن ثَمَرِهِۦ وَمَا عَمِلَتْهُ أَيْدِيهِمْ أَفَلَا يَشْكُرُونَ
Exalted is He who created all pairs - from what the earth grows and from themselves and from that which they do not know.
তিনি পবিত্র ও মহান। তিনি উদ্ভিদকে, মানুষকে এবং তারা যাদের জানেনা তাদের সবাইকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন জোড়ায় জোড়ায়।
Glory be to Him Who created all the sexual pairs, of that which the earth groweth, and of themselves, and of that which they know not!
سُبْحَٰنَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلْأَزْوَٰجَ كُلَّهَا مِمَّا تُنۢبِتُ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَمِنْ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَمِمَّا لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
And a sign for them is the night. We remove from it [the light of] day, so they are [left] in darkness.
তাদের জন্যে আরেকটি নিদর্শন হলো রাত, তা থেকে আমরা অপসারিত করি দিনের আলো, তখন তারা নিমজ্জিত হয়ে পড়ে অন্ধকারে।
A token unto them is night. We strip it of the day, and lo! they are in darkness.
وَءَايَةٌ لَّهُمُ ٱلَّيْلُ نَسْلَخُ مِنْهُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فَإِذَا هُم مُّظْلِمُونَ
And the sun runs [on course] toward its stopping point. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing.
সূর্য চলে তার নির্দিষ্ট গন্তব্যের দিকে, এটা মহাপরাক্রমশালী মহাজ্ঞানী কর্তৃক নির্ধারিত।
And the sun runneth on unto a resting - place for him. That is the measuring of the Mighty, the Wise.
وَٱلشَّمْسُ تَجْرِى لِمُسْتَقَرٍّ لَّهَا ذَٰلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْعَلِيمِ
And the moon - We have determined for it phases, until it returns [appearing] like the old date stalk.
আর আমরা চাঁদের জন্যে নির্দিষ্ট করে দিয়েছি মনযিলসমূহ। অবশেষে তা শুকনা বাঁকা পুরানো খেজুর ডালের আকৃতি ধারণ করে।
And for the moon We have appointed mansions till she return like an old shrivelled palm - leaf.
وَٱلْقَمَرَ قَدَّرْنَٰهُ مَنَازِلَ حَتَّىٰ عَادَ كَٱلْعُرْجُونِ ٱلْقَدِيمِ
It is not allowable for the sun to reach the moon, nor does the night overtake the day, but each, in an orbit, is swimming.
সূর্যের পক্ষে সম্ভব নয় চাঁদের নাগাল পাওয়া এবং রাতের পক্ষেও সম্ভব নয় দিনকে অতিক্রম করা। এরা প্রত্যেকে নিজ নিজ কক্ষপথ ও অক্ষপথে চলছে সাঁতার কেটে।
It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor doth the night outstrip the day. They float each in an orbit.
لَا ٱلشَّمْسُ يَنۢبَغِى لَهَآ أَن تُدْرِكَ ٱلْقَمَرَ وَلَا ٱلَّيْلُ سَابِقُ ٱلنَّهَارِ وَكُلٌّ فِى فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ
And a sign for them is that We carried their forefathers in a laden ship.
তাদের জন্যে আরেকটি নিদর্শন হলো, আমরা তাদের বংশধরদের (পূর্ব পুরুষদের) বোঝাই করে আরোহন করিয়েছিলাম নৌযানে,
And a token unto them is that We bear their offspring in the laden ship,
وَءَايَةٌ لَّهُمْ أَنَّا حَمَلْنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ فِى ٱلْفُلْكِ ٱلْمَشْحُونِ
And We created for them from the likes of it that which they ride.
আর তাদের জন্যে অনুরূপ নৌযান সৃষ্টি করেছি, যাতে তারা আরোহণ করে।
And have created for them of the like thereof whereon they ride.
وَخَلَقْنَا لَهُم مِّن مِّثْلِهِۦ مَا يَرْكَبُونَ
And if We should will, We could drown them; then no one responding to a cry would there be for them, nor would they be saved
আমরা চাইলে তাদের ডুবিয়ে দিতে পারি, তখন তাদের কোনো সাহায্যকারী থাকবেনা এবং তাদের রক্ষাও করতে পারবেনা কেউ।
And if We will, We drown them, and there is no help for them, neither can they be saved;
وَإِن نَّشَأْ نُغْرِقْهُمْ فَلَا صَرِيخَ لَهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُنقَذُونَ
Except as a mercy from Us and provision for a time.
তবে আমাদের রহমত পেলে এবং আমরা কিছু সময়ের জন্যে জীবন উপভোগ করার সুযোগ দিলে ভিন্ন কথা।
Unless by mercy from Us and as comfort for a while.
إِلَّا رَحْمَةً مِّنَّا وَمَتَٰعًا إِلَىٰ حِينٍ
But when it is said to them, "Beware of what is before you and what is behind you; perhaps you will receive mercy... "
যখন তাদের বলা হয়: ‘সতর্ক হও সেই সম্পর্কে, যা তোমাদের সামনে রয়েছে এবং সেই ব্যাপারে যা তোমাদের পেছনে রয়েছে, যাতে করে তোমরা রহমতপ্রাপ্ত হও।’
When it is said unto them: Beware of that which is before you and that which is behind you, that haply ye may find mercy (they are heedless).
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱتَّقُوا۟ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَمَا خَلْفَكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ
And no sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord except that they are from it turning away.
যখনই তাদের কাছে আল্লাহর নিদর্শনসমূহের কোনো নিদর্শন এসেছে, তারা তা থেকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নিয়েছে।
Never came a token of the tokens of their Lord to them, but they did turn away from it!
وَمَا تَأْتِيهِم مِّنْ ءَايَةٍ مِّنْ ءَايَٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِينَ
And when it is said to them, "Spend from that which Allah has provided for you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Should we feed one whom, if Allah had willed, He would have fed? You are not but in clear error."
যখনই তাদের বলা হয়েছে, তোমাদের যে রিযিক দিয়েছেন তা থেকে (আল্লাহর পথে) ব্যয় করো, তখনই কাফিররা মুমিনদের বলেছে: ‘ চাইলে যাকে খাওয়াতে পারতেন, তাকে কি আমরা খাওয়াবো? তোমরা তো স্পষ্ট বিভ্রান্তিতে রয়েছো।’
And when it is said unto them: Spend of that wherewith Allah hath provided you, those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: Shall we feed those whom Allah, if He willed, would feed ? Ye are in naught else than error manifest.
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ أَنفِقُوا۟ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَنُطْعِمُ مَن لَّوْ يَشَآءُ ٱللَّهُ أَطْعَمَهُۥٓ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا فِى ضَلَٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ
And they say, "When is this promise, if you should be truthful?"
তারা আরো বলে: ‘তোমরা সত্যবাদী হয়ে থাকলে বলো, কখন আসবে সেই ওয়াদা করা সময়টি (কিয়ামত)?’
And they say: When will this promise be fulfilled, if ye are truthful ?
وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَٰذَا ٱلْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ
They do not await except one blast which will seize them while they are disputing.
হ্যাঁ, তারা যে জিনিসের অপেক্ষা করছে, তা এক মহাবিকট শব্দ ছাড়া আর কিছু নয়। সেটা তাদের আঘাত করবে তাদের বিবাদকালেই।
They await but one Shout, which will surprise them while they are disputing.
مَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَٰحِدَةً تَأْخُذُهُمْ وَهُمْ يَخِصِّمُونَ
And they will not be able [to give] any instruction, nor to their people can they return.
তখন তারা কোনো অসিয়ত করতেও সমর্থ হবেনা এবং তাদের পরিবারবর্গের কাছে ফিরে যাবারও সুযোগ পাবেনা।
Then they cannot make bequest, nor can they return to their own folk.
فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ تَوْصِيَةً وَلَآ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِمْ يَرْجِعُونَ
And the Horn will be blown; and at once from the graves to their Lord they will hasten.
যখন (দ্বিতীয়বার) শিঙায় ফুৎকার দেয়া হবে, তখন সাথে সাথে তারা কবর থেকে উঠে ছুটে আসবে তাদের প্রভুর দিকে।
And the trumpet is blown and lo! from the graves they hie unto their Lord,
وَنُفِخَ فِى ٱلصُّورِ فَإِذَا هُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَجْدَاثِ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يَنسِلُونَ
They will say, "O woe to us! Who has raised us up from our sleeping place?" [The reply will be], "This is what the Most Merciful had promised, and the messengers told the truth."
তারা বলবে: ‘হায়, ধ্বংস আমাদের, কে উঠালো আমাদেরকে আমাদের নিদ্রাস্থল থেকে?’ (বলা হবে:) এটাই হলো সেটা, দয়াময় - রহমান যার ওয়াদা দিয়েছিলেন। আর রসূলরাও সত্য বলেছিলেন।
Crying: Woe upon us! Who hath raised us from our place of sleep ? This is that which the Beneficent did promise, and the messengers spoke truth.
قَالُوا۟ يَٰوَيْلَنَا مَنۢ بَعَثَنَا مِن مَّرْقَدِنَا هَٰذَا مَا وَعَدَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ وَصَدَقَ ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ
It will not be but one blast, and at once they are all brought present before Us.
সেটাও হবে মহাবিকট শব্দ, যা সংঘটিত হবার সাথে সাথে সবাইকে হাজির করা হবে আমাদের সামনে।
It is but one Shout, and behold them brought together before Us!
إِن كَانَتْ إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَٰحِدَةً فَإِذَا هُمْ جَمِيعٌ لَّدَيْنَا مُحْضَرُونَ
So today no soul will be wronged at all, and you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do.
আজ কারো প্রতি বিন্দুমাত্র যুলম করা হবেনা এবং তোমরা যা আমল করতে কেবল তারই প্রতিদান দেয়া হবে।
This day no soul is wronged in aught; nor are ye requited aught save what ye used to do.
فَٱلْيَوْمَ لَا تُظْلَمُ نَفْسٌ شَيْـًٔا وَلَا تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
Indeed the companions of Paradise, that Day, will be amused in [joyful] occupation -
নিশ্চয়ই আজ জান্নাতের অধিবাসীরা থাকবে আনন্দ আর উৎফুল্লে মশগুল।
Lo! those who merit paradise this day are happily employed,
إِنَّ أَصْحَٰبَ ٱلْجَنَّةِ ٱلْيَوْمَ فِى شُغُلٍ فَٰكِهُونَ
They and their spouses - in shade, reclining on adorned couches.
তারা এবং তাদের স্ত্রীরা/স্বামীরা থাকবে সুমধুর ছায়ায় সুসজ্জিত আসনে সমাসীন।
They and their wives, in pleasant shade, on thrones reclining;
هُمْ وَأَزْوَٰجُهُمْ فِى ظِلَٰلٍ عَلَى ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ مُتَّكِـُٔونَ
For them therein is fruit, and for them is whatever they request [or wish]
তাদের জন্যে সেখানে থাকবে ফলফলারি এবং তারা যা চাইবে সবকিছু।
Theirs the fruit (of their good deeds) and theirs (all) that they ask;
لَهُمْ فِيهَا فَٰكِهَةٌ وَلَهُم مَّا يَدَّعُونَ
[And] "Peace," a word from a Merciful Lord.
তাদের প্রতি পরম দয়াবান প্রভুর পক্ষ থেকে সম্ভাষণ হবে - ‘সালাম’।
The word from a Merciful Lord (for them) is: Peace!
سَلَٰمٌ قَوْلًا مِّن رَّبٍّ رَّحِيمٍ
[Then He will say], "But stand apart today, you criminals.
সেদিন বলা হবে: ‘হে অপরাধীরা! তোমরা আজ আলাদা হয়ে যাও।’
But avaunt ye, O ye guilty, this day!
وَٱمْتَٰزُوا۟ ٱلْيَوْمَ أَيُّهَا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
Did I not enjoin upon you, O children of Adam, that you not worship Satan - [for] indeed, he is to you a clear enemy -
হে বনি আদম! আমি কি তোমাদের নির্দেশ দেইনি: ‘‘তোমরা শয়তানের ইবাদত করোনা, কারণ সে তোমাদের সুস্পষ্ট দুশমন।
Did I not charge you, O ye sons of Adam, that ye worship not the devil - Lo! he is your open foe! -
أَلَمْ أَعْهَدْ إِلَيْكُمْ يَٰبَنِىٓ ءَادَمَ أَن لَّا تَعْبُدُوا۟ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنَ إِنَّهُۥ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ
And that you worship [only] Me? This is a straight path.
আর কেবল আমারই ইবাদত করো, এটাই সিরাতুল মুস্তাকিম (সরল সঠিক পথ)?’’
But that ye worship Me ? That was the right path.
وَأَنِ ٱعْبُدُونِى هَٰذَا صِرَٰطٌ مُّسْتَقِيمٌ
And he had already led astray from among you much of creation, so did you not use reason?
শয়তান তো তোমাদের বহু মানবদলকে পথভ্রান্ত করেছিল, তবু কি তোমরা বুঝতে পারোনি?
Yet he hath led astray of you a great multitude. Had ye then no sense ?
وَلَقَدْ أَضَلَّ مِنكُمْ جِبِلًّا كَثِيرًا أَفَلَمْ تَكُونُوا۟ تَعْقِلُونَ
This is the Hellfire which you were promised.
এ হলো সেই জাহান্নাম, যার ওয়াদা তোমাদের দেয়া হয়েছিল।
This is hell which ye were promised (if ye followed him).
هَٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِى كُنتُمْ تُوعَدُونَ
[Enter to] burn therein today for what you used to deny."
এতেই আজ প্রবেশ করো, কারণ তোমরা কুফুরি করেছিলে।
Burn therein this day for that ye disbelieved.
ٱصْلَوْهَا ٱلْيَوْمَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْفُرُونَ
That Day, We will seal over their mouths, and their hands will speak to Us, and their feet will testify about what they used to earn.
আমরা আজ তাদের মুখ সীলমোহর করে দেবো এবং আমাদের সাথে কথা বলবে তাদের হাত আর সাক্ষ্য দেবে তাদের পা সে সম্পর্কে, যা তারা কামাই করেছিল।
This day We seal up their mouths, and their hands speak out to Us and their feet bear witness as to what they used to earn.
ٱلْيَوْمَ نَخْتِمُ عَلَىٰٓ أَفْوَٰهِهِمْ وَتُكَلِّمُنَآ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَتَشْهَدُ أَرْجُلُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ
And if We willed, We could have obliterated their eyes, and they would race to [find] the path, and how could they see?
আমরা চাইলে তাদের চোখ বিলুপ্ত (অন্ধ) করে দিতে পারতাম, তখন তারা পথ চলতে চাইলে কি চলতে পারতো?
And had We willed, We verily could have quenched their eyesight so that they should struggle for the way. Then how could they have seen ?
وَلَوْ نَشَآءُ لَطَمَسْنَا عَلَىٰٓ أَعْيُنِهِمْ فَٱسْتَبَقُوا۟ ٱلصِّرَٰطَ فَأَنَّىٰ يُبْصِرُونَ
And if We willed, We could have deformed them, [paralyzing them] in their places so they would not be able to proceed, nor could they return.
আমরা চাইলে তাদের স্বস্থানে তাদের আকৃতি পরিবর্তন করে বিকৃত করে দিতে পারতাম, তখন তারা কোথাও যেতেও পারতোনা, ফিরেও আসতে পারতোনা
And had We willed, We verily could have fixed them in their place, making them powerless to go forward or turn back.
وَلَوْ نَشَآءُ لَمَسَخْنَٰهُمْ عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِهِمْ فَمَا ٱسْتَطَٰعُوا۟ مُضِيًّا وَلَا يَرْجِعُونَ
And he to whom We grant long life We reverse in creation; so will they not understand?
আমরা যাকে দীর্ঘ জীবন দান করি, তার সৃষ্টিগত প্রকৃতির অবনতি ঘটিয়ে দেই। তবু কি তারা বুঝার চেষ্টা করবেনা?
He whom we bring unto old age, We reverse him in creation (making him go back to weakness after strength). Have ye then no sense ?
وَمَن نُّعَمِّرْهُ نُنَكِّسْهُ فِى ٱلْخَلْقِ أَفَلَا يَعْقِلُونَ
And We did not give Prophet Muhammad, knowledge of poetry, nor is it befitting for him. It is not but a message and a clear Qur'an
তাকে (মুহাম্মদকে) আমরা কবিতা রচনা করতে শিখাইনি এবং এটা তাঁর জন্যে উপযুক্ত কাজও নয়। এ - তো একটা উপদেশ এবং সুস্পষ্ট কুরআন ছাড়া আর কিছুই নয়,
And We have not taught him (Muhammad) poetry, nor is it meet for him. This is naught else than a Reminder and a Lecture making plain,
وَمَا عَلَّمْنَٰهُ ٱلشِّعْرَ وَمَا يَنۢبَغِى لَهُۥٓ إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌ وَقُرْءَانٌ مُّبِينٌ
To warn whoever is alive and justify the word against the disbelievers.
যাতে সে জীবিত লোকদের সতর্ক করতে পারে এবং যাতে কাফিরদের বিরুদ্ধে শাস্তির ফায়সালা সত্য হতে পারে।
To warn whosoever liveth, and that the word may be fulfilled against the disbelievers.
لِّيُنذِرَ مَن كَانَ حَيًّا وَيَحِقَّ ٱلْقَوْلُ عَلَى ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
Do they not see that We have created for them from what Our hands have made, grazing livestock, and [then] they are their owners?
তারা কি দেখেনা, আমরা আমাদের হাতে যেসব জিনিস তৈরি করেছি, তার মধ্যে তাদের জন্যে পশুও তৈরি করেছি এবং তারাই সেগুলোর মালিক হয়?
Have they not seen how We have created for them of Our handiwork the cattle, so that they are their owners,
أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ أَنَّا خَلَقْنَا لَهُم مِّمَّا عَمِلَتْ أَيْدِينَآ أَنْعَٰمًا فَهُمْ لَهَا مَٰلِكُونَ
And We have tamed them for them, so some of them they ride, and some of them they eat.
আর আমরা সেগুলোকে করে দিয়েছি তাদের বশীভূত। ফলে সেগুলোর কিছু পশুকে তারা ব্যবহার করে বাহন হিসেবে, আর তারা আহার করে কিছু পশুর গোশত।
And have subdued them unto them, so that some of them they have for riding, some for food ?
وَذَلَّلْنَٰهَا لَهُمْ فَمِنْهَا رَكُوبُهُمْ وَمِنْهَا يَأْكُلُونَ
And for them therein are [other] benefits and drinks, so will they not be grateful?
সেগুলোতে তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে বহু রকম মুনাফা, রয়েছে পানীয় (দুধ)। তবু কি তারা শোকর আদায় করবেনা?
Benefits and (divers) drinks have they from them. Will they not then give thanks ?
وَلَهُمْ فِيهَا مَنَٰفِعُ وَمَشَارِبُ أَفَلَا يَشْكُرُونَ
But they have taken besides Allah [false] deities that perhaps they would be helped.
অথচ তারা আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে অন্যদের ইলাহ্ হিসেবে গ্রহণ করে এই আশা নিয়ে যে, তাদের সাহায্য করা হবে।
And they have taken (other) gods beside Allah, in order that they may be helped.
وَٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ءَالِهَةً لَّعَلَّهُمْ يُنصَرُونَ
They are not able to help them, and they [themselves] are for them soldiers in attendance.
এসব ইলাহ্ তাদের সাহায্য করার সামর্থ রাখেনা। তাদেরকে তাদের (পূজারীদের) বিরুদ্ধে বাহিনী হিসেবে হাজির করা হবে।
It is not in their power to help them; but they (the worshippers) are unto them a host in arms.
لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ نَصْرَهُمْ وَهُمْ لَهُمْ جُندٌ مُّحْضَرُونَ
So let not their speech grieve you. Indeed, We know what they conceal and what they declare.
সুতরাং তাদের কথাবার্তা যেনো তোমাকে দুঃখ না দেয়। আমরা জানি তারা যা গোপন করে, আর যা করে প্রকাশ।
So let not their speech grieve thee (O Muhammad). Lo! We know what they conceal and what proclaim.
فَلَا يَحْزُنكَ قَوْلُهُمْ إِنَّا نَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ
Does man not consider that We created him from a [mere] sperm - drop - then at once he is a clear adversary?
মানুষ কি দেখেনা, আমরা তাদের সৃষ্টি করেছি নোতফা (শুক্রবিন্দু) থেকে? কিন্তু তারপর তারা (আমাদের বিরুদ্ধেই) সুস্পষ্ট বিতর্ককারী হয়ে দাঁড়ায়।
Hath not man seen that We have created him from a drop of seed ? Yet lo! he is an open opponent.
أَوَلَمْ يَرَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ أَنَّا خَلَقْنَٰهُ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ فَإِذَا هُوَ خَصِيمٌ مُّبِينٌ
And he presents for Us an example and forgets his [own] creation. He says, "Who will give life to bones while they are disintegrated?"
সে আমাদের সম্পর্কে দৃষ্টান্ত তৈরি করে এবং ভুলে যায় তার সৃষ্টির কথা। সে বলে: ‘পঁচে গলে মাটির সাথে মিশে যাবার পর হাড়গোড়ে কে সঞ্চার করবে প্রাণ?
And he hath coined for Us a similitude, and hath forgotten the fact of his creation, saying: Who will revive these bones when they have rotted away ?
وَضَرَبَ لَنَا مَثَلًا وَنَسِىَ خَلْقَهُۥ قَالَ مَن يُحْىِ ٱلْعِظَٰمَ وَهِىَ رَمِيمٌ
Say, "He will give them life who produced them the first time; and He is, of all creation, Knowing."
তুমি বলো: ‘তাতে প্রাণ সঞ্চার করবেন তিনি, যিনি তা প্রথমবার সৃষ্টি করেছেন এবং তিনি প্রতিটি সৃষ্টি সম্পর্কে অগাধ জ্ঞানী।’
Say: He will revive them Who produced them at the first, for He is Knower of every creation,
قُلْ يُحْيِيهَا ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنشَأَهَآ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ خَلْقٍ عَلِيمٌ
[It is] He who made for you from the green tree, fire, and then from it you ignite.
তিনি সেই সত্তা, যিনি তোমাদের জন্যে সবুজ গাছ থেকে উৎপাদন করেন আগুন এবং তোমরা তা প্রজ্জ্বলিত করো।
Who hath appointed for you fire from the green tree, and behold! ye kindle from it.
ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلشَّجَرِ ٱلْأَخْضَرِ نَارًا فَإِذَآ أَنتُم مِّنْهُ تُوقِدُونَ
Is not He who created the heavens and the earth Able to create the likes of them? Yes, [it is so]; and He is the Knowing Creator.
যিনি মহাকাশ এবং পৃথিবী সৃষ্টি করেছেন, তিনি কি তাদের অনুরূপ সৃষ্টি করতে সক্ষম নন? হ্যাঁ, (অবশ্যি) তিনি মহাজ্ঞানী মহান স্রষ্টা।
Is not He Who created the heavens and the earth Able to create the like of them ? Aye, that He is! for He is the All - Wise Creator,
أَوَلَيْسَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ بِقَٰدِرٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يَخْلُقَ مِثْلَهُم بَلَىٰ وَهُوَ ٱلْخَلَّٰقُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ
His command is only when He intends a thing that He says to it, "Be," and it is.
তাঁর সৃষ্টির নির্দেশ কার্যকর হয় তো এভাবে, তিনি যখন কিছু চান, তাকে বলেন, ‘হও’, সঙ্গে সঙ্গে তা হয়ে যায়।
But His command, when He intendeth a thing, is only that He saith unto it: Be! and it is.
إِنَّمَآ أَمْرُهُۥٓ إِذَآ أَرَادَ شَيْـًٔا أَن يَقُولَ لَهُۥ كُن فَيَكُونُ
So exalted is He in whose hand is the realm of all things, and to Him you will be returned.
সুতরাং পবিত্র ও মহান তিনি, যাঁর হাতে রয়েছে প্রতিটি জিনিসের কর্তৃত্ব এবং তাঁরই কাছে ফেরত নেয়া হবে তোমাদের।
Therefor Glory be to Him in Whose hand is the dominion over all things! Unto Him ye will be brought back.
فَسُبْحَٰنَ ٱلَّذِى بِيَدِهِۦ مَلَكُوتُ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ
