Saheeh International

When the sky has split [open]

সমকালীন বাংলা

আল্লাহর নামে শুরু করছি, পরম করুণাময় পরম দয়ালু; যখন আকাশ বিদীর্ণ হবে,

Pickthall

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. When the heaven is split asunder

জহুরুল হক

যখন আকাশ খন্ডবিখন্ড হবে,

Saheeh International

And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so]

সমকালীন বাংলা

এবং তার প্রতিপালকের নির্দেশ মেনে চলবে—এবং সেটিই তার উপযুক্ত,

Pickthall

And attentive to her Lord in fear,

জহুরুল হক

আর তার প্রভুর প্রতি উৎকর্ণ হবে এবং কর্তব্যরত হবে - -

Saheeh International

And when the earth has been extended

সমকালীন বাংলা

এবং যখন পৃথিবী প্রসারিত করা হবে,

Pickthall

And when the earth is spread out

জহুরুল হক

আর যখন পৃথিবীকে সমতল করা হবে,

Saheeh International

And has cast out that within it and relinquished [it]

সমকালীন বাংলা

এবং তা তার ভেতরের সবকিছু বের করে দেবে ও শূন্য হয়ে যাবে,

Pickthall

And hath cast out all that was in her, and is empty

জহুরুল হক

আর তার ভেতরে যা - কিছু রয়েছে তা নিক্ষেপ করবে এবং শূন্যগর্ভ হবে,

Saheeh International

And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so] -

সমকালীন বাংলা

এবং তার প্রতিপালকের নির্দেশ মেনে চলবে—এবং সেটিই তার উপযুক্ত,

Pickthall

And attentive to her Lord in fear!

জহুরুল হক

ফলে তার প্রভুর প্রতি উৎকর্ণ হবে এবং কর্তব্যরত হবে।

Saheeh International

O mankind, indeed you are laboring toward your Lord with [great] exertion and will meet it.

সমকালীন বাংলা

হে মানুষ! নিশ্চয়ই তুমি তোমার প্রতিপালকের দিকে কঠোর প্রচেষ্টায় অগ্রসর হচ্ছ, অতঃপর তুমি তাঁর সাক্ষাৎ লাভ করবে,

Pickthall

Thou, verily, O man, art working toward thy Lord a work which thou wilt meet (in His presence).

জহুরুল হক

ওহে মানব! নিশ্চয় তোমার প্রভুর তরফে তোমাকে প্রচেষ্টা চালাতে হবে বিশেষ উদ্যমে, তাহলে তুমি তাঁর সাক্ষাৎ পাবে।

Saheeh International

Then as for he who is given his record in his right hand,

সমকালীন বাংলা

অতঃপর যার আমলনামা তার ডান হাতে দেওয়া হবে,

Pickthall

Then whoso is given his account in his right hand

জহুরুল হক

সুতরাং তার ক্ষেত্রে যাকে তার নিবন্ধগ্রন্থ তার ডান হাতে দেওয়া হবে,

Saheeh International

He will be judged with an easy account

সমকালীন বাংলা

তার হিসাব সহজভাবে নেওয়া হবে,

Pickthall

He truly will receive an easy reckoning

জহুরুল হক

তাকে তো তবে হিসেব চুকিয়ে দেওয়া হবে সহজ হিসেবনিকেশে,

Saheeh International

And return to his people in happiness.

সমকালীন বাংলা

এবং সে আনন্দিত অবস্থায় তার আপনজনদের কাছে ফিরে যাবে,

Pickthall

And will return unto his folk in joy.

জহুরুল হক

আর সে তার স্বজনদের কাছে ফিরে যাবে খুশি হয়ে।

Saheeh International

But as for he who is given his record behind his back,

সমকালীন বাংলা

আর যার আমলনামা তার পেছন দিক থেকে দেওয়া হবে,

Pickthall

But whoso is given his account behind his back,

জহুরুল হক

আর তার ক্ষেত্রে যাকে তার নিবন্ধগ্রন্থ তার পিঠের পশ্চাৎ দিকে দেওয়া হবে,

Saheeh International

He will cry out for destruction

সমকালীন বাংলা

সে শীঘ্রই ধ্বংসকে ডাকবে,

Pickthall

He surely will invoke destruction

জহুরুল হক

সে তখনই ধ্বংসের জন্য আর্তনাদ করবে,

Saheeh International

And [enter to] burn in a Blaze.

সমকালীন বাংলা

এবং প্রজ্জ্বলিত আগুনে প্রবেশ করবে,

Pickthall

And be thrown to scorching fire.

জহুরুল হক

আর জ্বলন্ত আগুনে প্রবেশ করবে।

Saheeh International

Indeed, he had [once] been among his people in happiness;

সমকালীন বাংলা

নিশ্চয়ই সে তার আপনজনদের মধ্যে আনন্দে ছিল,

Pickthall

He verily lived joyous with his folk,

জহুরুল হক

নিঃসন্দেহ সে তার স্বজনদের মধ্যে ফুর্তিতে ছিল।

Saheeh International

Indeed, he had thought he would never return [to Allah].

সমকালীন বাংলা

নিশ্চয়ই সে মনে করত যে সে কখনো ফিরে যাবে না,

Pickthall

He verily deemed that he would never return (unto Allah).

জহুরুল হক

নিঃসন্দেহ সে ভেবেছিল যে সে কখনো ফিরে আসবে না।

Saheeh International

But yes! Indeed, his Lord was ever of him, Seeing.

সমকালীন বাংলা

হ্যাঁ, অবশ্যই; নিশ্চয়ই তার প্রতিপালক তাকে দেখছিলেন,

Pickthall

Nay, but lo! his Lord is ever looking on him!

জহুরুল হক

না, নিঃসন্দেহ তার প্রভু বরাবর তার প্রতি দৃষ্টিদাতা।

Saheeh International

So I swear by the twilight glow

সমকালীন বাংলা

অতএব আমি শপথ করছি সন্ধ্যাকালের লাল আভার,

Pickthall

Oh, I swear by the afterglow of sunset,

জহুরুল হক

কিন্ত না, আমি সাক্ষী করছি সূর্যাস্তের রক্তিমাভা,

Saheeh International

And [by] the night and what it envelops

সমকালীন বাংলা

এবং রাতের, এবং যা তা আচ্ছাদিত করে,

Pickthall

And by the night and all that it enshroudeth,

জহুরুল হক

আর রাত্রিকে ও যা - কিছু তা তাড়িয়ে নেয়,

Saheeh International

And [by] the moon when it becomes full

সমকালীন বাংলা

এবং চাঁদের, যখন তা পূর্ণ হয়,

Pickthall

And by the moon when she is at the full,

জহুরুল হক

আর চন্দ্রকে যখন সে পূর্ণাঙ্গতা পায়,

Saheeh International

[That] you will surely experience state after state.

সমকালীন বাংলা

অবশ্যই তোমরা এক অবস্থা থেকে আরেক অবস্থায় আরোহণ করবে,

Pickthall

That ye shall journey on from plane to plane.

জহুরুল হক

যেন তোমরা এক স্তর থেকে অন্য স্তরে আরোহণ করতে পারো।

Saheeh International

So what is [the matter] with them [that] they do not believe,

সমকালীন বাংলা

অতঃপর তাদের কী হয়েছে যে তারা বিশ্বাস করে না?

Pickthall

What aileth them, then, that they believe not

জহুরুল হক

সুতরাং তাদের কী হয়েছে যে তারা ঈমান আনছে না,

Saheeh International

And when the Qur'an is recited to them, they do not prostrate [to Allah]?

সমকালীন বাংলা

এবং যখন তাদের কাছে কুরআন পাঠ করা হয়, তারা সিজদা করে না?

Pickthall

And, when the Qur'an is recited unto them, worship not (Allah) ?

জহুরুল হক

আর যখন তাদের নিকট কুরআন পাঠ করা হয় তখন তারা সিজদা করে না?

Saheeh International

But those who have disbelieved deny,

সমকালীন বাংলা

বরং অবিশ্বাসীরা মিথ্যারোপ করে,

Pickthall

Nay, but those who disbelieve will deny;

জহুরুল হক

পরন্তু যারা অবিশ্বাস করে তারা মিথ্যারোপ করে,

Saheeh International

And Allah is most knowing of what they keep within themselves.

সমকালীন বাংলা

আর ভালো জানেন যা তারা অন্তরে সঞ্চয় করে,

Pickthall

And Allah knoweth best what they are hiding.

জহুরুল হক

অথচ ভালো জানেন যা তারা লুকোচ্ছে।

Saheeh International

So give them tidings of a painful punishment,

সমকালীন বাংলা

অতএব তাদেরকে যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তির সুসংবাদ দাও,

Pickthall

So give them tidings of a painful doom,

জহুরুল হক

অতএব তাদের সুসংবাদ দাও মর্মন্তুদ শাস্তির,

Saheeh International

Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds. For them is a reward uninterrupted.

সমকালীন বাংলা

তবে যারা ঈমান এনেছে এবং সৎকর্ম করেছে, তাদের জন্য রয়েছে অফুরন্ত প্রতিদান।

Pickthall

Save those who believe and do good works, for theirs is a reward unfailing.

জহুরুল হক

তারা ব্যতীত যারা ঈমান এনেছে ও সৎকাজ করছে, - - তাদের জন্য রয়েছে এক নিরবচ্ছিন্ন প্রতিদান।
